The Village Inn in Fareham

Good pub! Every meal we have here is fantastic and the customer service is always second to none. There are always four or five real ales to choose from and it’s the best kept beer around. See you again next week.

Had a great meal, good value for money, all staff were very warm and polite. I woul strongly recommend a visit to The Village Inn.

Place is great for a meal and a few drinks with friends. I’ve been several times and will happily come back. Witnessed an incident with a man having a medical emergency, but the staff remained calm and got an ambulance there within 15minutes! Some really nice customers also came and helped, can tell the staff enjoy their jobs, but know when to be professional too! I didn’t catch names but there was a small dark haired guy and a woman in chef whites who helped the man and two staff (1male/1female, quite young) who stayed professional and kept serving to make sure everyone was happy!

Went back after a great experience last time and it did not disappoint again! Would recommend and will keep coming back!

We hadn’t been here for a while, we went for Sunday lunch. We were told it was the first day of the new menu. We both ordered roast dinner, beef and chicken. We were so impressed with the quality of the meal, the beef fell off the bone, the roast potatoes and and roasted vegetables were delicious and it was huge ! Definitely quality food and value for money. The staff, as always, friendly and cheerful. A huge thank you to the Chef !

Absolutely disgusting. My partner and I called in for a drink whilst waiting for breakdown recovery and unknowingly initially my partner sat on one of a couple of chairs by the door that according to the manager are used by someone who is barred from ALL other pubs in the area. This person regularly soils himself and urinated on these chairs which are NOT cleaned properly and left for unsuspecting customers to then sit on. My partner very quickly realised the chair he sat on was wet and the smell emanating from it hit him, he stood up, then when we complained to the manager we were treated as though we were a problem. The manager looked the picture of guilt and just took the chair away. My partners clothes were left wet and horribly smelly. I SHALL take this further. WHERE is the health and safety of all other customers taken into consideration when they allow him to apparently do this regularly. I've NEVER experienced a negligent attitude to customers like it.

I popped in for a drink very busy staff very friendly and helpful, unfortunately when there a customer became very rude and aggressive to staff, manager and staff felt with this very professionally and calmly well done to all will definitely be back.

Lovely meal very busy atmosphere was good. Staff & management excellent. Was served by Matt at the bar who was extremely helpful . Service was 5 star nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Everyone very friendly. Will definitely come again to the village inn.

Very nice place for an evening meal and a couple drinks. Couldn’t complain about the service from the bar staff and the food was 10/10. Sadly we was interrupted by some extremely rude customers that was saying horrible things to the bar staff, fortunately the bar staff handled this very well and quickly, would return in the future for more drinks and meals. I’d recommend this place to everyone.

Really nice pub but didn't have the Turkey for the roast very reluctant to swap it for chicken also very very small portions the roast dinner was very nice but I would need freer those to film me up so on that note pretty bolt standard service not willing to help will not ever be going back shame

Came in for lunch on Saturday with my family, we were told of a 40 minute wait on food due to how busy the pub was. But our food came out after 25 minutes and even though the pub was very busy the service from Liam and Anya was amazing! Cannot fault our experience at all. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Saturday day time, I popped in for a quick bite to eat on my way to getting some potatoes from my local grocer. Anya, made this quick bite to eat a much better experience with checking up on me at all the right times. Real atttention to detail!

Visité aquí porque a mi esposa le ofrecieron una botella de Prosecco para su cumpleaños. Desafortunadamente, no lo alivió ya que el 10 para comer fuera estaba encendido. Encontré esto extraño como era para su cumpleaños, así que ¿por qué ofrecerlo y luego rechazarlo? Mi esposa tenía un bistec raro que vino hecho. Las mesas no se estaban limpiando, la gente a nuestro lado había terminado y se había ido antes de que llegara nuestra comida y la mesa todavía no estaba limpia cuando nos fuimos. Encontramos esta visita muy decepcionante, ya que en el pasado disfrutamos comiendo aquí, de ahí la mala crítica.

El lío de Eton parecía manjar blanco con bocados simbólicos de merengue.Quizás este servicio de slap dash se debió a que solo tres empleados estaban al frente de la casa.Faltaban los inodoros, polvo en todos los dispensadores de papel higiénico y papelera de mujeres. Un fregadero estaba roto y cubierto de plástico. No hubo evidencia de limpieza adicional para covid. Las sillas del pub estaban sucias, llenas de grasa. Vi dos estaciones de desinfectante, pero habría esperado algo cerca del área del baño.En general, fue una noche decepcionante. Estaba reservado para la fiesta de Navidad, pero he cancelado la reserva.Lo pensaría mucho antes de volver.

Visité aquí con mi familia el 27 de agosto, éramos 6 y habíamos reservado con anticipación, todos queríamos comida y bebida. Nos pusieron en dos mesas separadas (lo cual es extraño considerando que somos de dos hogares, pero entiendo por qué, aunque una búsqueda rápida en Google muestra que grupos de 6 de 2 hogares pueden cenar juntos). Las bebidas que tomé durante la noche tenían una buena relación calidad-precio (2 cócteles por 7.50) el primero que tomé fue un Aperol Spritz que se sirvió en una copa de vino pequeña (debería ser una copa baja) y con limón (debería ser naranja ). Luego tuve un Merlot (que era encantador, no tengo quejas) y luego tuve un IPA de Goose Island que sabía horrible. Sabía a agua amarga. Desafortunadamente, no tenían Black Sheep puesto que tenía muchas ganas de intentarlo.A continuación, la comida, así que, para empezar, comí nachos que diré que estaban deliciosos, una porción muy buena pero no suficiente queso. Mi principal es dónde estaban todos los problemas. Tuve un Rib Eye de 10 oz que pedí medio raro, pero salió bien hecho. Ni siquiera parecía un corte de costilla si soy honesto. Las patatas fritas y salsa peppercorn sin embargo eran fantásticas. 19 de agosto de 2020. A nuestra llegada nos recibió un miembro del personal en la puerta. Había un desinfectante de manos y una instalación de rastreo y seguimiento. Nos llevaron a nuestra mesa. Las mesas estaban muy separadas, muy limpias. Una camarera nos dijo el simulacro para pedir bebidas y comida, etc. Todo funcionó bien con la situación actual. Nos dieron menús desinfectados. Elegimos el menú fijo que era variado y a buen precio. No puedo quejarme de nada ya que nos sentimos seguros, un ambiente limpio y buena comida. Personal educado. Volveremos.
