Smells of bleach and frequented mostly by locals and some areas looking tired. Staff helpful. Nothing special and lots of other places nearby have better ambiance and charm.

George was fabulous. The customer before us was quite rude. He didn't let it phase him! George was friendly and made a great cup of coffee 😊

We wanted to give our Doberman dog, Tewkesbury, a decent walk from Swanwick marina, so headed for Mermaid’s Cafe. Forgot it closed at 4 on Sundays, so pleased they let us squeeze inside at 1 minute to the hour! They were super friendly, even though they must have been ready to close up. All our hot chocolates and coffee were delicious. Couldn’t resist the ice cream (saw customer before me) in a real cone! …. and then a home made oat and sultana biscuit caught my eye - irresistible!! Love this place. A hidden gem.

ordered half a roasted duck for takeout, but the lower half was missing and replaced with extra duck breast. It didn’t feel like the most honest way to do business.

Harpers is a very friendly, welcoming and great place to eat. We have been here numerous times and have always had an excellent experience. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend to anyone considering visiting here. A*

Food took hour and half to come out and then another 20 minutes for the other foods like rice and chips. Pudding was another hour and some of the photos didn't match what was severed.

The most rude person you could ever meet served us, he doesn't make a mistake even though he is doing multiple things at once, what a ignorant man.would not consider ever going there again
