The best restaurants in Fareham South East

This is NOT the best fish and chips in the area it is the BEST in the WORLD. I have gluten free so you have to wait a bit longer but it is well worth the wait. Never once a complaint.

Went here today for afternoon tea with a friend. Absolutely delicious food (four types of sandwiches, lemon and blueberry cake, tiffin, brownie, bread pudding and scone with cream and jam). Service was attentive but left us to chat in peace as well. We were able to sit in the booth, which was great for a good natter. We'll definitely be back!

The food was OK the coffee was not. Had a nice simple smoothie. The staff don't look happy to be there and just look fed up. Definitely not worth over £17!

Lovely friendly Indian takeaway. We have been using Spice Village for a couple of years now and have no complaints. The food is always flavoursome and good portion sizes too. The staff are always friendly and it’s always ready for collection at the time given. It’s great to be able to watch the food being cooked if you want. Thoroughly recommend, good prices too.

Beautiful tasty muffins as per normal lots too chooses too drinks are good too prices have gone up but so has everywhere in this world

Visited The Hook for the first time on a Friday night We were seated in an empty restaurant opposite the toilets The waitress took our orders and brought our drinks Food arrived promptly Hubby had Spaghetti Bolognese and I had Southern Fried Chicken Burger and Fries Apparently the bolognese was delicious I didn't enjoy my food the fries weren't hot Our friends enjoyed their meals and the service was good Unfortunately the pub was very rowdy and somebody fell on a nearby table and knocked the vase of flowers to the floor There was a constant stream of people often in groups in and out of the loos and the door swung shut with a massive thud every time It was extremely annoying When we left our friend mentioned getting the door sorted again He had spoken to her before and she said " I know it's meant to be fixed " It might explain why the restaurant was empty the whole time As I understand it there is an Italian restaurant round the other side we could see it's entrance across the bar I wouldn't go back

Was greeted and served by Matt today, it was quite busy but he was attentive and made sure we ordered and got our drinks and food etc in a timely manner. The food was fantastic, chef Harry did a great job! The mushroom cheese fondue was lovely. Overall a great birthday meal for my husband, we will definitely be returning soon.

A convenient location for me and friends to get lunch during a busy day. The midweek menu has some great deals that really do help with the pricing which has gone up. The food was good and portion sizes seem to still be more than I can handle. We had a wonderful young woman Ashley who served us. She expertly helped us through the allergens as I’m celiac and was just a bundle of warm energy even though she was the only one working she kept speeding around and keeping us all happy

This was a meal for 14. The staff were very welcoming. They made it easy for us to split the bill into 3 units. Food arrived promptly, well presented & good quality. A very nice evening had by everyone. Full marks to The Old Ship crew.

So asked for Black Forest hot chocolate but they gave it to me without cream , when I asked for cream to which she said "you asked for black forest hot chocolate ", I said if you look in the picture it comes with cream. So she gave me cream, which ran out, and then she was going to give me that, so I asked for more cream as it was a tiny amount , so they she found some eventually then that ran out, so it was no where near what the picture looked like . So Costa either makes sure you have the supplies in, and your staff have the right attitude for the public because she clearly did not 👎

Although this started off not a good night due to the fact they had ran out of lots of food and I brought my autistic daughter out for a meal and she only eats certain things. Once I expressed my stress to the managers Drew and Jess they couldn’t apologize enough and did everything in their power to prevent my daughter from having a meltdown. They were amazing and I can see why they are managers! There should be more people like this around! Thanks for helping us turn around what could have been an awful experience.

Real ale and comfortable surrounding.

Firstly wow! Staff straight off the bat, amazing as we arrived, seating perfectly arranged along with the staff making sure we were happy, then the food, I have eaten a lot of Chinese food before but this place was in believable, everything was fresh and the choices mind blowing! You could not enjoy a better place and I am now trying to arrange another group visit, five stars from me

Horrible. As others have said, thick gloopy sauces with dried out chicken. If you’re a total mink you’ll love it.
