Canton Express in Fareham

I live in whiteley and the fact there based in fareham just proves I will pay more for them to deliver to me. The food is great and the guy who takes my order over the phone is a legend, he has that subtle Liam Neeson voice about him. I can imagine if I had to call back if my food was late arriving he would defo crack some heads. The Chinese women who answers sometimes can be abrupt but I will let her off because the food is unreal. Chicken in black bean sauce is a delight and the chow mein isn't too greasy. Shredded chilli chicken is my partners fave which I also enjoy. I've never had a bad meal from canton, I hope they continue to produce greatness.

I’m really disappointed with the service from this restaurant. Not only was my food delivered extremely late, but items were missing from my order. When I called to address the issue, the staff didn’t seem to care at all about the missing food or the long wait. No apology, no solution—just a lack of basic customer service. I won’t be ordering from here again. Avoid at all costs!

We recently ordered a large selection from Canton Express, sampling the majority of their menu, and we were blown away! The food was absolutely incredible – every dish was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. From the starters to the mains, everything was a 10/10. Delivery was impressively quick, and all the food arrived piping hot, which really added to the overall experience. Highly recommend Canton Express for anyone looking for top-notch Chinese food in Fareham!

Been a while since I had a Chinese meal, but well worth it. Once again a lovely meal. Such large portions, and I always feel full after this chinese. Well worth the money. The staff are all pleasant including the delivery driver.

We have had a few deliveries now and they are now the favourite go to Chinese takeaway. Really good food, quick delivery and friendly on the phone.

Best Chinese in fareham. But, close early and always shut unexpectedly and outside of advertised hours which is very disappointing. Every time I call I'm on tenterhooks if they're actually open. Bad way of doing business....

Lovely food have been visiting for the last two years when we visit relatives. Food is normally hot good sized portions and freshlooking. On our last visit though the prawn crackers were not upto the normally high standard as were soft and lacked the crunch you expect from fresh crackers. Hopefully on our next visit they will have reviewed their stock rotation and crunchy crackers will be on the menu again, at which time my 4 star review will be upgraded to 5 stars as you would expect from any eatery.

A MASSIVE well done guys the food you served up on my visit was insane.. You have put the faith back in me in Chinese food.. So I ordered a special curry/Chips _ spring Rolls & the curry was so tasty.. I didn't eat it till half hour after collecting & the chips were still hot & crispy.. I can't find anything wrong from Service to really decent Chinese food I will def be back to try other Dishes like your Duck & Choi Mein a Very happy customer 6 Stars out of 5..

Worst Chinese in Fareham, do not go here. I ordered a special fried rice that cost me £7 and I’ve got half a tub of boiled rice with a load of wet vegetables.

Ordered take away for family on 28th may paid over phone did not arrive ordered at 8.45 was told it would be here within hour still no food by 10 tried ringing to chase up and phone stated closed. Very disappointed will never ordered from here again.

A long time trying to get through on the phone and when I did almost finished ordering and was cut off. However, they did phone me back and I completed my order. They were most apologetic about their phone lines. When food did arrive it was worth the wait. Delivery driver polite and pleasant and food was delicious and filling. Definitely go back there. I'd have given 5 star if it wasn't for the phone lines.

We tried Canton Express for the first time tonight and will definitely be coming back! The staff were happy to chat and explain what different dishes are and the food was ready in a timely fashion. We had a couple of different chicken dishes, some chips which were excellent and another chicken - curry this time. All were amazing and busting with meat (the amount of) and flavour. I would thoroughly recommend giving this business a try 👍

My absolute favourite place to order from! Delivery is always quick, food is always hot and delicious, staff are always super friendly, sometimes I order my dinner from here when I’m working late and it’s usually ready in like 10 mins when ordering for collection.

Poor quality food, seems to be under new management as some dishes have changed. Bad chips, arrived quite cold and got colder after needing to pay over the phone at the door despite saying they could do card payments from the driver. Didn’t even chuck in prawn crackers despite spending £30+

not sure if this is under new management but was really underwhelming, curry tasted powdery, and salt and pepper ribs tasted like BBQ ribs with salt and pepper seasoning chucked on top. Not great after making the effort to collect due to no card payments

Good prompt service but too much soy sauce in the meals, ordered four different meals, they were all soaked in soy sauce, all I could taste was soy sauce lucky I bought egg fried rice separate, used that to dilute the heavy salty soy sauce, otherwise it would have been a disaster.

Best Chinese food in the entire Fareham district area. Top class food. Excellent service. No other Chinese takeaway comes even remotely close to being considered second best to this establishment. Can take a little while to deliver sometimes but I’d wait an extra 10-15 minutes for better quality food any day. Only negative is they are closed on Tuesdays.

OMG!! Our first taste tonight. We was not disappointed. Our normal Chinese was closed & Canton was recommended. we’ve just found our new Friday take out… Very helpful on the phone. We didn’t have a menu, but very helpful with what we wanted. Food absolutely delicious. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back. Food delivered within time stated & hot. Amazing dishes 😋

Really nice spicy squid I had. Lemon chicken sauce could be improved as no taste of lemon in the sauce compared to many other takeaways I had.

All was ok to be fair! Apart from the crispy aromatic duck was far from crispy... like eating a bowl full of jelly... horrific. It’s a shame because years ago it was the best around. Massively gone down hill.

As all my birthday plans had to be scrapped due to Covid restrictions we decided to order in takeaway.We have previously had no knowledge of local takeaways as we usually eat in but thought we would chance it. We were not disappointed,the food arrived promptly,was hot and tasty and not expensive. We will certainly use Canton again.

Good Chinese food, not greasy or bland like some others I could mention in the area. Really needs a decent website or at least a decent picture of the menu online!

My first choice, food is excellent.

There are Chinese takeaway you can order from on apps but this is the best one I've had so far. Shredded chilli chicken is delicious 🌶. Find it hard not to order everything. Live really close so collect and it is worth going out thr house for. Staff are always helpful and friendly.

Ordered £49 worth of food paid for on card at 9-30pm and it didn’t show up. Tried ringing multiple times and no answer. No call or nothing to say why it won’t be turning up. Absolute joke of a place

We thought we'd try this Chinese as it has changed hands recently. We are so pleased we did. Great portions, all rrally fresh and not filled with monosodium glutamate like other Chinese takeaways. Had the mixed meat curry, special fried rice, spicy squid and pancake rolls. All amazing. Will be using them always from now on.

It's now been a couple of months without Chinese and we were not disappointed. Love the sweet n sour Hong Kong style, BBQ ribs, young chow rice all cooked beautifully and very tasty. The shop is clean, safety measures in place and you can still see into the kitchen.

Just because I can, inflexible in their approach to to people who can’t have home delivery for whatever their reason is, profiteering by stopping collections attitude appalling.

The food here is delicious - it's my go to Chinese if I want to order Kung Po chicken (it's not Hong Kong sweet n sour plus chilli like other places seem to do it!!)! Always look forward to Chinese from here !!

Just ordered 4 meals,chicken chop suey, chicken chow mien,chicken salt and spices,beef and green peppers,chicken balls,rice,etc absolutely beautiful couldn’t fault it 👍

Ordered for the first time tonight. I’m always nervous trying somewhere new, but as my usual place has decided to close on a Monday we thought we would try canton express. Absolutely beautiful. Food was fantastic and service was great. We have a new favourite and will use these guys now instead of our previous. Definitely worth trying, you won’t regret it.

Ordered a couple of times from here for delivery and have never had an issue, decent size portions, always nicely cooked makes this easily my favorite Chinese takeout in Fareham.

Four of us had takeaway and we all found it quite good. Beef chow Mein, ribs, egg fried rice, beef curry, chicken satay skewers, curry sauce, sweet and sour sauce, the list goes on. All pretty good food and very reasonably priced. We shall try again when we are back in the area.

Seemed to be rushed off their feet and were rather rude, the food was lukewarm I've been to much nicer places Take time with your customers!!

We have lived in Fareham for four years now and have never used another Chinese. We have never had a bad meal from here, however sometimes we have had to deal with long deliveries and the phone not being answered due to it being so busy (which is a good sign, they just need to find a better way to cope with the demand). Happy to forgive them for the occasional delay due to the food being extremely tasty. Would highly recommend the Salt & Chilli chicken, Spicy Chips (proper spice, nothing wimpy here) and the curries.

We had a very good meal from the Canton Express. I ordered a takeaway for 11 for a celebratory family meal; we gave a couple of hours notice due to the size of the order, it was ready on time and a very good quality. Only a minor observation re the chicken chow mein which was a little dry but otherwise a lovely meal and great service from the Canton Express and we will use them again.

They may offer a lot of food but the quality is awful. The crispy shredded beef was a box full of overcooked batter with an oversweet sauce. The bbq ribs were in a horrible sauce. Tried three times just to see and each tome it’s been disgusting. TSE’S in Gosport is our go to now! Freshly cooked tasty food. Just remember cash!

Brilliant! This is a takeout great front of house staff are good. Food is great. This is not a restaurant, it's a takeaway.

My god I have eaten some rubbish in my time but this take away we had tonight was right up their in the disgusting bracket.
