The best restaurants serving British food in East Hampshire South East

We celebrated my son's 50th birthday at the restaurant. We thought the food was amazing, Evi was delightful and attentive, we left feeling we had a wonderful time and a beautiful memory to cherish. Thank you.

Highly recommend this lovely cafe, friendly staff and food was excellent. Hubby’s cauliflower cheesy soup was delicious (and he doesn’t normally like cauliflower!!). Will definitely go back soon.

The fabulous husband and wife team at Number 6 have created a real gem of a restaurant - serving absolutely delicious and beautifully presented meals in a space with a lovely warm atmosphere. It was so difficult to make my selection from the menu, as so many of the dishes sounded AMAZING. We enjoyed a really wonderful evening and I can't wait to go back. There are far far too many mediocre restaurants around - don't waste your money on them when you can eat here instead.

We visit The Hanger as often as possible. Its perfect for a quick lunchtime bite or a special occasion. The menu has something to suit all tastes and budgets. The hands on, working owners (chef & front) of house provide an experience “second to none”. As well as lovely food, extensive wine & cocktail list, The Hanger has fabulous inside & outside spaces. A sunny terrace and log fires. Well worth a visit.

Excellent place to eat and drink. The team is helpful and pleasant. The food is delicious. It's one of my favorite pubs.

cane in for a coffee ended up with cherry cake, homemade bread , two cheese's and doggy biscuits oh and two coffees and nice friendly company, its quaint , old fashioned and just plain old nice

Have been buying the most wonderful fish and chips, always cooked to order, for the last 10 years. I treat myself at least once a week and have never been disappointed. I used to prefer haddock, but after testing their lovely firm cod, I always order a large portion with giant gherkins. The batter is light and crisp, the chips are made from fresh potatoes, and the oil never tastes stale. Yin keeps the premises spotless and I have never been disappointed in the fish supplied. We are so lucky to have had them working so hard for our benefit and I don’t think there is anywhere in the district to match them.

Everything in headley fine foods is yummy to the extreme, in fact it is probably the best thing about headley! The owners are lovely people, and make this not just a place to get delicious food, but also a really important part of the village. I think I could get addicted to the Victoria sponge though… you have been warned

Quaint little pub, sticking to the old school systems. Fantastic staff and owners. Cannot fault this pub at all, and it's won an award this year! Definitely a must visit!

Extremely enjoyable evening. First time but great service, ambiance and food. Had the hot stone fillet stea which was wonderful. We will come back.

Visited for lunch on Wednesday. In the bar area there’s some deals chalked on the blackboard including ‘any 2 mains for £25 on a Wednesday’. Must have been an old offer as not reflected in our two main meals bill today. If it is an old offer please ensure it’s removed from the blackboard. Meals chosen were the 8oz rump steak main and mixed- grill burger main averagely priced. Hubby enjoyed his meal and there was plenty on his plate. The steak was a large thick chunk of meat, but sadly lacking in any real flavour. I guess this could have been achieved if you added one of the sauces available, though not everyone wants a sauce with their steak. A service charge is automatically added to the bill when you go to pay so seems to hardly be discretionary as suggested on the menu. Shame really as we likely would have left more as a tip if we’d been given a choice. The waitress/ bar tender was lovely, chatty and attentive.

We had a really lovely meal here. The menu was interesting and the food delicious. The service very good and so friendly. We would definitely go again!

A landmark within Petersfield which has consistently been excellent over the years. Perfect venue for an event. Nice food and well stocked bar with friendly staff. Historic building too

Myself and my mum visited the Red Rose Tea Room on Thursday afternoon after a 12km walk in the Devil’s Punchbowl - the cakes we chose were absolutely gorgeous!! We had the Courgette and Avocado cake, and the Honey cake; both were some of the best cakes we’ve had for a very long time. The decor is so endearing, and my mum was so happy when ‘Here Comes The Sun’ started on the playlist - great choice of calming and relaxing music! We will 100% return with friends/family in tow 💕
