Meg's Kitchen At Bakery Lane in East Hampshire

Highly recommend this lovely cafe, friendly staff and food was excellent. Hubby’s cauliflower cheesy soup was delicious (and he doesn’t normally like cauliflower!!). Will definitely go back soon.

Meg’s is our ‘go to’ cafe in Petersfield for tea/coffee and the best selection of cakes you’ve ever seen. Always delicious and the staff are so friendly and helpful.

went for afternoon tea, was ok, found not enough various little cakes, many chocolate. not enough space to put cake /sandwiches stand or plates with teapot etc. didnt find the staff particulary friendly with the boss working on a table on her laptop staring occasionally as we were eating , bit disconcerting, and looking at the menu and the price of cakes thought it was quite expensive . would we return ..... no thankyou. ( the afternoon tea was a present for us )

Relaxed atmosphere. Clean and tidy. Friendly owners / staff. Was perfect little spot for a rest and recoup before continuing to browse the shops.

Staff were lovely, very polite and welcoming. We had a couple of drinks and cakes, everything tasted amazing! So much that I order another drink to go. Great variety of food on the menu and everything coming out looked delicious and fresh! Thank you ladies, we will be back soon x

My daughter and I took my friend for afternoon tea at Meg’s. WOW! It was delicious and incredible value for money. Lots of little different flavoured finger sandwiches, big scones with jam and clotted cream, a variety of home baked cakes and gorgeous cheese straws. We couldn’t eat it all so we given a box to take the rest home. The staff are so friendly and it’s a family run business headed by Meg. Would highly recommend. My daughter’s milkshake was HUGE - she loved it. Thank you Meg from three very full up and happy customers. Xxx

I stumbled across Meg's kitchen on social media. My work colleague and I wanted to treat some great people who have worked with us during the last school year. We did just that today and were not disappointed. Not only was this reasonably priced, but the quality and selection were great, and we weren't rushed, meaning plenty of catch-up time. I'd totally recommend Meg's Kitchen to anyone in Petersfield!

Unfortunately following a holiday to Turkey, my hubby came back with covid. So sadly our plans for Father’s Day needed to be cancelled. Thankfully Meg’s kitchen came to the rescue. At the last minute, I was able to arrange a fabulous ploughman’s lunch and cream tea. I cannot recommend Meg’s Kitchen enough. Have used them many time’s especially during lock down and team have always provided excellent service.

Used to love this place when the previous owners were running it. Definitely not as nice now. The bacon was overdone and service not brilliant. It's fine if you need a meal but I wouldn't choose to come here any more.

We had been wanting to try out megs for a while and decided one Saturday to have a bit of lunch there. The sandwiches were generously filled and made with care. Overall we enjoyed everything we ordered only knocked 1 star off because it is not the cheapest especially the cakes/pastries which can be around £4 each. However I think it’s still worth it.

I have ordered afternoon tea for 12 from Meg's kitchen to take away. When I arrived everything was put in boxes beautifully. The sandwiches, the cakes and everything in the box tasted absolutely amazing. Such a lovely local business with amazing and friendly team. Definitely will be back for more

Afternoon Tea for Mother’s Day…The food was delicious and plenty of it! We even had to take some home as our stomachs were full. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. The range of cakes and sandwiches is amazing. The scones were very fresh. We’ll definitely be going again.
