Highly recommend this lovely cafe, friendly staff and food was excellent. Hubby’s cauliflower cheesy soup was delicious (and he doesn’t normally like cauliflower!!). Will definitely go back soon.

There are insufficient superlatives to describe the quality of food, service, and the overall atmosphere at this remarkable restaurant. Thanks to Evi, who runs the front of house, and Nathan, the world class chef for an excellent dining experience.

My partner and I were staying nearby and had dinner her one evening. We were blown away. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was wonderful and the pub was quaint and pretty. We are so glad to have visited and will be back next time we are in the area.

Birthday lunch and we had the tasting menu . Food was absolutely delicious and presentation was so good . This restaurant is a hidden gem in a town that is so lacking in inventive dining .

We had our family Christmas party here in December! The food was outstanding, steak were cooked to perfection and the puddings are out of this world, the service was great! Lovely atmosphere and casual dining! Beautiful decorations throughout the pub! Will definitely be back

A proper time warp pub, great service, home cooked food and real beer, drank next to a roaring log fire. This place is a real gem!

If you want top quality fish and chis, freshly cooked, then this is the place. A hard working couple who offer a friendly service. We'll be back.

Always a nice trip to Garthowen. Good variety of plants which are of good quality. The cafe serves good food and coffee. The store staff are very helpful and the gorgeous cat who sleeps on the displays just makes my day 🐈

Jason and his team ably and obligingly catered for a large group of 30 people despite being really busy (the pub is so renowned it scarcely needs another glowing review). We submitted a pre-order, and 15 minutes after we arrived, hot, generous, tasty dishes emerged from the kitchen like clockwork. We were all impressed with the quality and quantity of the food and the ambience and setting of this delightful pub.

An excellent destination venue to head for. The food and service is first rate, the chef really knows what he's doing. We have chosen to eat here a number of times now and have never been disappointed. I look forward to my next visit. Popped along to the church that's super close to the Inn as I had seen there are a couple of Commonwealth War Graves there. There is also a headstone with a French Dunkirk medal attached! Been meeting friends here for a meal here many times now as a halfway point. Good food shared in good company, what's not to like?

We visited for a pre-Xmas Sunday lunch on the basis of the many favourable comments from other locals. The car park is full of deep potholes, full of muddy water which was not a great start. Inside, the welcome was friendly enough, but my immediate impression was how cold it was. Incredibly for a freezing winter day, the large fire was not on and we were seated in a lower dining area next to a drafty window. The cold temperatures were not helped by other people's kids repeatedly going in and out the door to the play area and not closing it. I had to go back to my car to fetch a fleece as it was so cold. According to the waitress, the fire cannot be used because it gets too smoky. Hello...? If you are running a hospitality business, maybe you should call in a chimney sweep and get it fixed? Having said that, and the only reason I gave it as much as three stars, was that the food was very good indeed and the people working there were friendly and attentive.

We had a really lovely meal here. The menu was interesting and the food delicious. The service very good and so friendly. We would definitely go again!

A landmark within Petersfield which has consistently been excellent over the years. Perfect venue for an event. Nice food and well stocked bar with friendly staff. Historic building too
