Met up at The Yurt for lunch with friends. Absolutely perfect in every way. Polite, friendly staff, wonderful food and very reasonably priced. We were the last table to leave but were under no pressure to as we were aware of the closing time. I canāt wait for the next visit.

Sorry, how much? A BLT, a piece of cake and a can of drink for Ā£17.50 and thatās with a 10% discount for takeaway. Canāt say I was surprised when the staff were saying itās not very busy. I guess I should have looked at the menu before I ordered so only myself to blame.

It was an impromptu visit on a cold Friday night...a roaring fire and warm welcome as we entered the pub and they quickly found us a table...not full, but busy. We ordered T-bone steak and a burger, both were beautifully cooked, tasty meat and served with excellent chips and trimmings . Very relaxed casual cosy dining. It was exactly what we were looking for. We will go back as there were some lovely looking dishes on the menu and no pretensions. Not cheap but good value.

Popped in for some lunch while in Banbury, having never visited before. The staff were lovely and chatty and the baguettes had just finished cooking as we arrived! Good selection of fillings, all very tasty and well priced! Would 10/10 recommend, and I will definitely be visiting again.

My husband, daughter and I were visiting friends for a week in Shipston and this place became our second home. The building is really lovely- traditional and with a very pretty bar which is really cozy... perfect for dogs, kids and anyone wanting a good chat and a great pint (fab selection of ales and lagers). We loved the sofa in the corner for playing cards. I imagine it's super lovely when the fire is lit in winter. It's the garden that we loved most though.. there's a natural wig wam tree thing with kids stuff in so perfect for little ones. Lots of tables with an uninterrupted view of the rolling hills. They don't 'do' food but have a wood fired pizza oven that comes once every month and it was amazing! I think they have a similar thing with local fish and chips too. We were also there on 'sharing night' when the locals all bring in stuff like cheese and home made bread to share on the bar. All in all, this was a fantastic pub with great staff, a beautiful garden and a really charming, cozy bar. We will be back!

We were lucky enough to celebrate Christmas day dinner at the nightingale , altho the dinner was delicious there were a few things not quite right the prawn cocktail starter was supposed to have Marie Rose sauce which was minimal and buttered bread alas we had no butter š¢ also a few of our potatoes were very very well done !! But the atmosphere and the rest of the dinner was outstanding Thankyou to the team who helped make their first Christmas day a success
