Had the breakfast, and, unpopular opinion but it was pretty average at best. Hash browns were quite greasy and think tasted more or the oil than hash brown. Sausages weren't to my taste. Quite dry. Lovely looking place, friendly staff, although nobody asked at any point if the food was ok or checked back on us. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to visit again for breakfast.

First time here & v much looking forward to returning soon. Absolutely beautiful evening. Amazing food, every element was delicious. Real care & attention with lots of little surprises. The family team are all so welcoming, spending time chatting to us & others. We even left with two loaves of their sublime sourdough! We are so lucky to have this wonderful place nearby. No idea why it's taken us 3 years to find it, but fully intend to make up for lost time. Thank you!

We stayed here for a pit stop overnight when visiting family in a nearby village and this place didn't disappoint. We received a very warm welcome from the landlord and landlady and check in was a breeze. They have a great selection of alcohol and it was really pleasing to see a village pub so busy. The building itself is stunning and much larger than I thought it would be with an extended restaurant and outdoor area with seating. The room had everything we needed for the night, including a bath and a shower and it overlooked the town square which was nice and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and we slept soundly. Our room was number 2. The breakfast menu has something for everyone with a selection of cooked and non cooked options and you can tell quality ingredients were used. It was a shame this was a flying visit as the the evening and Sunday lunch menu looked fantastic and we will be sure to try these on our next visit. Overall we felt very welcomed and the pub has a very homely feel to it, we will be sure to stay again next time we are passing.

Having enjoyed visiting the previous site in town several times, my wife and I were recently delighted to find the new larger premises while looking for a bite to eat before an evening at the Arts Centre. The menu is still wide-ranging and my wife and I enjoyed our flatbread and burrito respectively. The waiting time for the food was fine and somehow they've managed to keep the intimate atmosphere despite the larger room. The staff were welcoming and it was good to see Kyle still there looking after the customers with his usual food humour! We'll be back.....probably tonight actually!

What a lovely little gem we discovered on our way home from Bristol to Toddington. Such a warm welcome and made to feel relaxed and comfortable. They were awaiting a food delivery after a busy Christmas however didn’t hesitate to make up a delicious selection of cheese and pate for us to have for lunch. We will be back again when travelling. Such a wonderful little pub! Thank you!

Our very large family party came for lunch on 22 December. I had sent our food preferences ahead and the staff were spot on with our choices. The service was first class. Warm and friendly. The food was very good. I had the steak pie and would definitely recommend this. My family were meeting from all directions and we said The Royal Sun was an excellent choice and will definitely make this a family tradition at this time of the year.
