Absolute amazing pub been multiple times and tried different things on the menu Absolutely great staff and amazing chef! You'd pay top dollar for food like this else where! 100% recommend!!

Really beautiful attentive pub. Sunday roast was absolutely fantastic, cooked to high quality. Staff were really welcoming with great service. Can get busy but plenty of seating inside and outside. Just shows how much the locals love this little gem of a pub! Will be visiting again very soon. Thanks Bianca and the coach team! 😊

Had our usual cheeky pint and a pot of chips after a eight km walk. The pub is superbly set out and decorated, staff are really lovely and the chips were top dollar...if you are local, give it a whirl, you won't be disappointed 😍

Called here on our way back to Banbury for an evening meal and enjoyed a tasty Fish'n'Chip platter. No complaints, every thing was excellent, the atmosphere, the ambience and the friendly staff who we believe were new landlords of the pub. Would definitely recommend this pub/eatery either for a drink or a meal.

Visited this lovely place yesterday 20/05/24. What a little gem Atmosphere was so friendly and relaxed. Food was excellent tasting and excellent value. The landlord was so friendly and entertaining 😄. Everyone in there was so friendly and there was friendly banter between the landlord and customers. Such a pity the landlord and landlady are retiring. People are going to be missing out on a lovely experience there. Many thanks to the landlord from the couple who ate outside and had the fish and chips and the curry with half and half. Happy retirement sir.

Had a fantastic Sunday Roast Beef Dinner and a delicious dessert washed down with a couple of pints. The landlord and staff were very hospitable, and the landlady's cooking was spot on. Great food at very reasonable prices. Great atmosphere. Great Beer, especially the Swordfish. Certainly worth a revisit

I went to the coach and horses today with somebody I support. The man there, presumably the owner, was so lovely. Held the last orders open a little bit longer so we could visit and made us feel so comfortable offering us to sit wherever we wanted. We sat down and there was not much of a wait but for the person I was supporting us a big deal, he came over and offered help and I said it’s just the wait and he said I completely understand and within minutes the PWS meal was out. He was so lovely and so understanding, the atmosphere was very relaxed and we all felt welcome. The PWS does tend to make a lot of mess which there was and the PWS hurries off straight after eaten so I apologised but again the man said he understands and was so so kind of lovely. We will 110% be back we’ve never felt so welcome. The food was HUGE and amazing and the most expensive thing on the menu… £4.50!!!! So cheap and so worth it

Went in for a drink and meal. Landlord was lovely, sad to hear he's leaving. 😢 The food and drinks were really cheap. The food was OK, for the price was what expected but filled us up and warmed us up on a cold weekday. 🥶

Unbelievabley good value. Amazingly good homemade food and rediculously low prices. Good and wholesome and very good chips. Good atmosphere, lovely old pub and helpful friendly staff. Highly recommend

What a lovely pub. Went along for the first time with my friend who is in his 80s and has frequented many pubs over his many years on this planet 🌏. 😁 He was delighted, and very impressed with the warm friendly welcome we both received, ( and it can take a lot to impress him). Food was great and superb value. Beer was kept very well, we will be back. Keep up the excellent work.

Went for lunch as staying in Banbury. Nice pub. If I lived there it'd be my local. Good atmosphere, friendly staff and no nonsense freshly cooked pub grub served nicely with decent portions. Good beer too.

My husband had been before and wanted to take me. It had a great atmosphere and looked out on the village green area. We had the pie and chips which was delicious and came with gravy...I'd forgotten how much I love chips and gravy. The landlord was very helpful and the 6X beer was fabulous and well kept. Amazing to see a pub so busy on a Tuesday lunchtime. Where else can you get a pie and chips for less than the price of a pint.

Child friendly lunch venue, a good value treat for the holidays, portion sizes adjusted to meat the requirements of the children. Parking outside the door, seating outside with parasols for shade and a lovely village to wander round. Informative and friendly landlord, fast and efficient lunchtime service, compliments to the cook. Good choice of reasonably priced food, plenty that the kids enjoy, we shall return before the end of the holidays. Doggy treats and water for our 4 legged friend was very much appreciated. How lucky we are to have this pub in our village, other villages are not so lucky, make the most of this little treasure.

Friendly and welcoming pub, lovely landlord and landlady, who go out of their way to please their customers. Best Sunday roast around, fantastic meals every weekday with a great specials menu and yummy puddings. Quality live music on a regular basis plus bingo and quizzes. Everything you could want from your local pub.

First time that me and my friend visited this pub .When i got there i ask the guy at the bar are you doing food and he said yes so he gave us a menu and show us the specials board so we sat down look at,the menu than i order two full english breakfast and two mugs off tea when it came out it look very good .We both would like to say that it was the best breakfast i have in a pub than i was than told the guy who server me was the pub landlord and is wife was the chef so it a good pub / good food and very good value for money dave and serena thankyou

Traditional and very local - like stepping back in time 30 years not bad but definitely peculiar. Half an ale at ordinary price, tasted fine though the place itself smells a bit deathly. Midweek atmosphere as expected. If booked for Sunday lunch probably a gem for ordinary English provincial fayre.

Me and my husband loved our meal here. The owners were so friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing. We couldn’t believe the size of the portions for the price we paid!! It was brilliant, the food was amazing.highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Only stopped for a cider on the bike at this beautiful old pub and enjoyed every minute, the landlord was a lovely man as well so all good.

Wonderful little pub which, sadly, we only get to visit once a year as we're not local but the landlord and his wife always recognise us immediately and we feel most welcome. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and if you eat there the portions are more than generous! Very highly recommended......

Took my mum here for her 86th birthday lunch as she really likes this place, the landlord always greets you and makes you feel welcome he actually come out from behind the bar and mingles with his patrons. always chats to everyone and jokes about. Pretty unusual these days. Great food, great service, great prices and generous potions.

We aren’t local and happened to be passing of a weekend and so glad we paid a visit! The owner was so lovely and welcoming from the second we walked through the door with our dog. The atmosphere was that of your typical cosy village pub! It was really quick and easy to order, the prices were very reasonable and the portion size was double what you’d expect! You get more than you pay for, not just in size but in flavour as well, like home from home. The owner mentioned if we come again and fancy a Sunday roast that these need to be ordered in advance which we’ll remember if we visit again in the future! :)

The coach & horses is a charming village pub. The food is all home made & delicious especially the traditional old school puddings. The atmosphere is always warm & welcoming. If you've berm there once the landlord will remember you and make the time for a chat. I personally don't drink beer but the men folk in my family assure me it's excellent.

Been here several times, it's an old fashioned pub with a jovial landlord, always busy and I'm sure that is down to the food prices, if you want Sunday lunch you have to book well in advance, that must something in its self.

Popped in today for lunch after calling prior to visits to see if they had a table, was told didn’t need to book but come in. We were there within 10 minutes. When we arrived we were completely ignored by staff and a guy in white tee shirt who saw us who I believe was the landlord as he was chatting to people who were seated didn’t acknowledge us at all! even when he walked to the bar to grab something from behind it he just looked coldly at us and still no acknowledgment The person behind the bar who could not of missed us carried on with looking through raffle tickets no acknowledgment at all. The pub was not busy just only 3 tables had people seated and eating. Clearly they do not want the custom. We were made to feel we were not welcome at all, a scene from league of gentlemen came to mind. So we went to the plough and pickle where we were immediately greeted with a warm welcome by lovely staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Never will I go to the coach and horses as they clearly didn’t want or need our custom

A whole plate full of awesomeness. Quality roast beef, 3 fresh vegetables, 5 real roast potatoes, 2 Yorkshire puddings and homemade gravy. Booking essential for this delight to eat in or take away. If beef is not your favourite then you could have a roast on pork week, on special occasions the roast is turkey which is excellent. Great value meals and puddings every day in the friendly atmosphere created by Tony and Shani.

Just had a lovely visit today. Had a lovely home cooked meal. Prices were very good value. The publicans Tony and Shani were very nice. Felt very comfortable in there. Would definitely recommend this pub.

We went to The Coach & Horses for the first time yesterday and found out that it was an excellent pub. There were 8 of us,4 adults and 4 children. We were given a table in the restaurant area and we were treated like royalty....

Delightful pub on the village green, in attractive area. Very accommodating landlord who seated us, including 4 very active children, to one side of the bar area. Delicious food at surprisingly good prices. We'll be back!

We had a proper home cooked meal, not at all pretentious. Proper pub, proper food, big portions, small prices. I had the curry and rice £4 and a sponge pudding a custard £3. Could barely walk home. Also, very friendly landlord

Came across this pub while staying a few nights in the area From the moment we stepped through the door we were given a very warm welcome very friendly people don't get that in many places now We had dinner here on three occasions and can honestly say the food was delicious well presented and severed hot and at a ridiculously cheap price I can not recommend this pub highly enough you would not be disappointed

Always greeted with a warm welcome, the food is fantastic for an "i really cant be bothered" night. with meals ranging from £4-£6 you can't go wrong.....basic? oh yes...but the prices reflect that and that's why it just works. who can knock a mid week...
