Fantastic community pub, with friendly staff. Sunday lunch was great and all freshly prepared to order. Good selection of meats and a variety of vegetables served with the meal. Recommended if you are looking for somewhere for lunch.

Beautiful meal in a great pub. Service was outstanding. Highly recommend this for family meals, especially if you love pies.

Enjoyed some tasty food from here. Customised to tastes. Lots of options made fresh. Recommend the samosas. Sometimes busy, but worth the wait.

We ordered four meals online for delivery, A fish and sausage lunchbox with curry sauce, A fish and fishcake lunchbox with mushy peas, a double cheese burger with salad and burger sauce in with chips, and 12 x Chicken Nuggets and chips. The Delivery came in good time the bag had the correct name on it and was sealed, we opened the bag, it had 4 meals inside there was no burger meal inside and one of the meals had baked beans in instead of curry sauce, my daughter has a life threatening allergy to baked beans and my son ordered a burger as he doesn't like fish. We called Grimsby fish bar to get it rectified, they said it is too busy and there was nothing that they could do. WHAT A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Excellent food excellent taste

The Dashwood Hotel and those who run it are a disaster - and it could be so good. Firstly, communication was a disaster when we had to contact them, well in advance of our stay, due to unforeseen circumstances. We were unable to go and knowing that they could have helped by re-opening the booking and finding replacement as the Blenheim Palace Game fair was on that weekend! We found someone to take our place last minute. Remote check in a nightmare and no ph no for contact! Room: no rail in wardrobe and only 2 tea bags and 2 milk pods for a 3 night stay! Lots of little niggley things when it could have been so nice. Unwelcoming

Overpriced and over cooked Tight starter portion and that 1 scallop NOT"scallops"was overdone And the roast wasn't much improvement Really disappointing for my guests too Shame as the setting is good just not any value for money and the atmosphere wasn't to warm for a quiet Sunday evening

Have used this pub over the years for family meals as its a good meet in the middle place. Over the years its had some various ups and downs on the food front. However after a few years where we didn't use it we tried again. Congratulations to the new owners who have only been in for a few weeks, it was the best food we have had at this pub. Maybe the only advice was that the food could have been a bit hotter - however we know it was a very busy Sunday - but maybe one to check. Overall a great Sunday meal and we will be back. Wishing the new owners all the best for the New Year.

Pre booked in advance the Christmas dinner,unfortunately,it did not live up to anything I was expecting.The food was not hot,and grossly overpriced,very disappointing as the staff were pleasant enough.Will not be going back there for food again,I suggest you do not go there,left deflated .Ruined my Christmas with my daughter...Shame,go elsewhere in future.

Despite the opening hours quoted, and displayed at the pub, it was closed Thursday lunchtime. No idea what the actual hours are?
