We ended up going at a busy time, but was no trouble. Got given a buzzer and details taken. The only issue we had was we felt in the way as the bar area wasn't very big, and as the rugby was on we had to stand near the doorway. Food was lovely, and will definitely return!

Visited today after not going for sometime, the decor is'nt up to much but what they lack in aesthetics they make up for in their offer. took a chinese chicken baguette away with a drink and crisps all for £6 baguette itself was warm and crispy but whilst being soft in the centre. 36 years this little slice of history has been there and the lovely lady working there has been there over 20 and now owns it. support local go there and dont forget to tip your staff!

I highly recommend to avoid, front counter food (sit their all day form start) i as for a sausage that look warm, they pick in up and throw it straight into the microwave, with a price tag of £2 this wasn’t the first time I’ve had this experience, won’t be going here again

Had a lovely meal with our friends, the Souvlaki devine giving us happy memories of Greece. Only disappointment the Stifado not on the menu & hope it will come back soon. . The bar lady /waitress very helpful and attentive telling us about the history of the beautiful village and surroundings. Enjoyed our afternoon. Thank you

The Dashwood Hotel and those who run it are a disaster - and it could be so good. Firstly, communication was a disaster when we had to contact them, well in advance of our stay, due to unforeseen circumstances. We were unable to go and knowing that they could have helped by re-opening the booking and finding replacement as the Blenheim Palace Game fair was on that weekend! We found someone to take our place last minute. Remote check in a nightmare and no ph no for contact! Room: no rail in wardrobe and only 2 tea bags and 2 milk pods for a 3 night stay! Lots of little niggley things when it could have been so nice. Unwelcoming

I was taken to lunch here by my daughter. I can honestly say, I have rarely had such delicious food in a pub. It really was exceptional. We decided to go for several starters as we were finding it hard to make a choice - I had the parsnip soup which quite frankly was the best parsnip soup I have ever had. My daughter had the prawns which were fabulous and we then shared a couple of the dips - babaganoush and muhammara which neither of us had come across before but both just exploded with flavour. We also had the fish terrine. Without doubt a 10/10. Highly recommend.

Pre booked in advance the Christmas dinner, unfortunately,it did not live up to anything I was expecting. The food was not hot,and grossly overpriced, very disappointing as the staff were pleasant enough. Will not be going back there for food again,I suggest you do not go there, left deflated .Ruined my Christmas with my daughter...Shame,go elsewhere in future.
