Beautiful little restaurant. Went here this evening for my birthday, the service was incredible, food was delicious. Quiet little place (which we love), Really fast service and everyone was lovely. We will definitely be back:)

It's so rare to find a family resturant where passion for food and cooking is as important as profit. We loved our celebration Anniversary meal, the quality of the food and service way exceeded our expections. Above and beyond the franchised chains. Give it a try and make sure you meet Kush, a master chef who loves his food!

Visited Copper Kitchen whilst staying in Bicester this weekend and was looking for somewhere nice to eat for my wife's 40th Birthday. Copper Kitchen did the trick! Lovely little place that smelt of amazing food as we walked in, seated quickly and settled in nicely with a nice Malbec. We went for bread and olives to nibble on, before steaks for main. My wife went for the sirloin steak and I had the fillet steak that was on the specials board. Both cooked perfectly! We had a great time and would definitely recommend. Amazing food, lovely and quiet on the Wednesday night we visited. Mozart on the sound system felt very civilised. Cheapest wine on menu was an only acceptable Tempranillo. Service was mostly good, but a bit unrefined, for example there were cleaning products on one of the tables when we walked in but no one using them, and the front of house staff didn't greet us, leading us to ask if they were even open. Main courses didn't arrive together, there was a minute in between. Still I rate 5/5. Definitely will come back.

Beautiful restaurant, friendly attentive staff, beautiful food and loved the classical music - I personally can't bare it when music in restaurants is too loud and loved the background classical music (please don't change it). We had a staff christmas party here, and we were treated to a very lovely and filling 3 course xmas dinner! Everyone had a lovely time and really enjoyed themselves. The food was lovely with very generous portion sizes and at a very good price of £32.90 for a 3 course xmas dinner with crackers and a beautifully presented xmas table. The staff were very attentive and were very quick to serve drinks and the courses all came at a good time apart from each other. If you want a very affordable christmas dinner in a cozy pub right next to town centre, copper kitchen is the way to go. My thanks go to Kushtrim and his team for organising such a lovely christmas doo!

We had our company (1st4Fitness) Christmas Dinner at The Copper Kitchen. Everything from booking it, making changes, adding people, was effortless and done with such kindness. The actual evening was just amazing. The food incredible, the atmosphere, the service just, like I said earlier, amazing. I cannot rate Kustrim and his team at The Copper Kitchen high enough. I was really looking forward to dining here with my family, both as an early Christmas treat. Based not only on online reviews but recommendations from friends and colleagues too, the Copper Kitchen seemed a cut above the wealth of rival establishments in the area. Plus points first; the waiting staff were mostly friendly and the decor cosy. The pork belly was wonderfully tender with little fat and the mash and veg complimented it well. As for dessert, the crumble was plentiful with fruit and the custard fine and creamy. I am struggling now to find further positives because the overall experience wasn't one to remember favourably. The staff, though largely polite and helpful, seemed unfamiliar with the situation regarding the festive ordering. One admitted that they were new and didn't understand how it all worked and there seemed general confusion as to what items were valid, when, and to whom. Despite advance ordering three two-course festive meals they disputed this when it came to payment and in the end charged separately for one starter. There was also a long wait for condiments as our food started to get cold. Why salt and pepper isn't already present on the tables is a mystery. The starter was served with the main against our wishes, so either there was a breakdown in comms with the kitchen or they simply didn't listen. From a hygiene and health perspective it was a concern to notice later in the evening that the bottle the tap water was served in had spots of black mould on the seal, some of which were evident within the water. And lastly, the ladies toilet had no soap or hand towels. I note that other negative comments have been met with an unnecessarily indignant tone, as if the restaurant is above such feedback. Sometimes complacency can creep in when the large percentage of reviews are generally four or five stars, which can cause the business to respond aggressively to those who raise constructive issues. It's never wise to publicly accuse previous customers of lying so I sincerely hope that the owners take this review on board in a more professional manner, and instead resolve to ensure others don't have a similar experience because these problems are easily rectifiable. It's been a hard enough few years for the hospitality industry, and with numerous restaurants to choose from within walking distance of the Copper Kitchen, alienating customers is not a sound policy. This isn't a budget restaurant and I expected more from one that places itself in a bistro category with prices to match. When I am effectively overcharged as well, regardless of the quality of the aforementioned pork belly, it does leave something of a bad taste in the mouth. RESPONSE TO COPPER KITCHEN’s COMMENTS; I have no idea what you are referring to with regards “multiple reviews” as I have placed just one here - so it appears you have a tendency to accuse your customers of lying, simply because you have difficulty handling negative feedback. My review was considered and a generous 2 stars under the circumstances - be grateful for that. In terms of raising issues at the time, they were, so why did you not come and talk to us yourself instead of hiding away somewhere out of sight? As it is your staff ruined what should have been a pleasant family experience - yet you seem to care more about getting five star reviews than maintaining high standards. You can never be sure who you are serving in your restaurant and I resent the tone you have adopted. If any “hurt ” is done to your reputation perhaps you should look a little closer to home, keep the complacency and lies in check and maybe some customer service training wouldn’t go amiss. After 11 years in the business I’d expect far higher standards from you and your staff.

Ordered from Festive menu for a family meal and asked if I could add a starter to it as it has 2 to 3 courses. The waitress said that’s fine so I ordered a starter that was also available on the main menu. Was told if it’s not on the main menu they wouldn’t be able to accommodate because they have to order the ingredients. I asked for it to be bought before the main. They obviously ask the questions and don’t listen to the answers. The starter came with the main …. So had to rush to eat that and did not get to enjoy it one bit!! All she could say was sorry!! They kept asking if we had finished when we had not. Even saw them taking a plate away from the couple next to us to be told they had not finished!! When the bill was presented at the end they charged the full price for the starter!!! When I said it was supposed to be part of the festive menu,I was told I should have pre-ordered it!!! That is not what they said when I ordered it earlier!! Food was ok not great and service was appalling. Will not be returning. Actually in response to the restaurant, that is a complete lie the waitress asked if I wanted it before and I made I clear I wanted it before the main! Also I had asked her about having the starter on as part of the festive menu and she said yes otherwise I would not have ordered it! I will not be recommending your restaurant to others.

Four of us went for a birthday meal. Never been before so was really looking forward to it. Really disappointing!. The steaks that we wanted weren't available, only ones available were of course, the most expensive!. Starters (bbq chicken thighs) was tastless. Then had to wait for over 30 minutes for our mains. Steak was the worst I've had anywhere. Sadly very disappointing and won't return.

My partner had the burger and he thoroughly enjoyed his. Desserts I had chocolate chip brownie and my partner had sticky toffee pudding. Food was outstanding. We were the only ones in the restaurant at the time but we liked it as it wasn't to noisy another couple did come in later. It's really lovely and romantic. The chef came out and spoke to us which was lovely . Overall, great experience. We will definitely become there new regular customers 😀

Copper kitchen is a hidden gem just short of a 10 minute drive from Bicester Village. At first you may think it’s an ordinary pub but it’s much more than that. When you walk in you are welcomed by the warm atmosphere created by not only their decor but their lovely staff! The food was delicious, warm and met the standards of the name! We went their for my mums birthday and the owner had emailed me ahead of time to ask whether we would like to have a birthday banner hung up for her which I thought was a lovely touch and even better made my. Mother smile as it was the first thing she saw when we walked in. We were the last ones to leave as you are when you’re celebrating and the staff were lovely and asked us how everything was, how our days were and wished us the best time for the rest of our stay which really rounded up our experience and felt to us it is a very family friendly place to have found in Bicester!

Been here with my wife and kids. The food was amazing, we ordered the prawns for starters and sea bass as a main course paired with a glass of fine white wine. Excellent service and a very nice atmosphere 10/10 would recommend and bring back family and friends

Braise Shoulder lamb was excellent that we had to reorder second round! Confiet duck was great as well. We really enjoy the food here. The place is clean and the service is good. Would go back again.

Compliments to the chef! The lamb shoulder was our absolute favourite. As well as incredible food in this quant restaurant, our waitress Mia was not only friendly and warm but you can see also takes great pride in her job - showing a deep knowledge of the menu and she was spot on! Would highly recommend this place - deserving of 5 stars.

Lovely neighborhood restaurant! The owner who is also the chef was very friendly and accommodated all of our dietary restrictions. The sea bass and rib eye were really tasty. Would definitely come back again!

Loved it! We booked late because parking is not the best we were a bit late for our booking, everyone was lovely about this and put us at ease immediately. The lovely waitresses were very attentive but not pushy, and the owner even came and had a chat to us just before we left, as we were the last to leave.

My girlfriend loves the duck confit with the Argentinian Malbec! I always get the filet steak and mushrooms. 🥰 it’s divine and cooked to perfection don’t sleep on this place!

The food at Copper Kitchen is always very good. The staff are welcoming and the restaurant looks clean and well organised. Since the restaurant opened, the seating area has expanded, which is testament to Copper Kitchen's success. This is either the best or joint-best (nod to Denis) restaurant in Bicester.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. The steak was a bit over cooked but still tasty. The fries were delicious. Very enjoyable. We also had a vegan friend who was able to get the pasta dairy free which was really nice.

I visited again and the service was warm and friendly, I requested for extra mushroom to my American Breakfast and I was given, mushroom was juicy and the meal tasty as usual, I had a pleasant day with the company of my friend. The atmosphere was also nice, as it happened to be my birthday 🎂, I enjoyed the meal , the atmosphere and the service rendered. Would definitely be visiting soon.

Visiting friends in Bicester and needed early dinner before heading home. We arrived about 5.30pm. Friendly staff and between the 3 of us we had duck and fish dishes. All were perfectly cooked and very tasty. The panne cotta was delicious ! Had a lovely chat with the staff about how Bicester has changed. We used to live there. An excellent meal, highly recommend.

The chicken was probably the best I’ve had all year. My daughter had a burger and it was pretty special too - they know how to cook and prepare food to perfection here, it’s not your every day meal. Worth a visit!

Lovely place. Staff very friendly and attentive. Good atmosphere. I had confit of duck leg with dauphinoise potatoes, red cabbage and courgettes. It was fantastic. I first went here for lunch and unfortunately they are only open for dinner at the moment. We will definitely be going back.

Very much enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere at Copper Kitchen, I was not hugely hungry so did not have a starter, just a main and it was beautiful. Grilled chicken breast with gnocchi in a blue cheese, kale and pepper sauce. I asked them to go easy on the blue and that request was granted with a smile- fresh and made to order-nice! All of the staff were so friendly and personable and there was plenty of choice on the menu. We will definitely be back

I struggled to find the dishes that were gluten free despite having requested this on booking. I was told it wasn't a problem as they had plenty of choice. Their menu should be updated to include allergens and the staff should also be trained. Most of the starters were on toast but they didn't have gluten free bread! I had venison steak in the end but it was tough and grisly. Panna cotta was the only choice for dessert. Very disappointing.

We were here with family and all of us enjoyed the food and service. I had the beef fillet steak and the squid starter which were amazig. I reccomand this place if you are after some good food and service.

cute little restaurant the duck dish was delicious the night we went they did not have several items on the menu which i thought was poor for a saturday night. its quite an expensive menu and i dont agree with the high charge of service charge (around £6) service was average by young waitresses i would prefer to tip at my own accord happy with the food we had that night

We were visiting Bicester and after the shopping we got hungry and wanted to eat somewhere different from the shopping centre. One of the staff members recommended Copper Kitchen and it did not disappoint us at all, old rustic building, young polite staff and very good food. I had the lamb steak that was really cooked well and the vegetables were absolutely tasty, where as the others had chicken, duck and goulash which they enjoyed them very much too. We surly will be back here when we visit back again.

Been here a few times now and the more I go the more I like it. I always have the steak and it is always perfectly cooked, whereas my partner loves the seabass here. I truly recommend this place if you are after some amazing food and beautiful atmosphere.

Very disappointed with last nights meal… This was a little regular restaurant that friends would meet up at for a lovely dinner. Last night was very different unfortunately. We arrived and sat in the back area along with 1 other couple. The young waitress came to tell us the specials which had the steak, spinach and chips which we usually have as it’s so good! After the refurbishment I thought they may have changed the menu a bit but it is still the same (needs changing) so all 3 of us ordered the steak special- the waitress then returns telling us there is only 1 left!!! Reluctantly we reorder 1 steak, 1 confit duck and 1 prawn linguine. The wine we ordered from the menu wasn’t available, so she bought up another one (which was fine) The food took ages considering we were now the only people in the restaurant and when it arrived (one by one with quite big gaps between each plate being delivered to the table) the steak was overdone, so was everything on the duck plate and the linguine was really really spicy!! We ordered coffees, the Irish coffee arrived and was only half a glass?…. Used to love this place but have been really put off now- not sure if it’s under new management or staff?

Great food and great service. Really nice ambience. The only thing that is disappointing is the 10% service charge on every bill. Seems everyone is doing this now. Take it off we are not America. I would always tip if service is good regardless.

Lovely food great staff and lovely surroundings

Had to ask three times for our drinks to finally arrive. One member of staff clearly didn't want to be working. One of our glasses for water had a big chip on the rim. The menus all need updating, they are tatty and have spelling mistakes. The food, however, was great and overall the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. With a few small touches, Copper Kitchen could be great, but overall the service and having a number of menu items not available, it was a bit of a let down.

Copper Kitchen is a great local independent restaurant which serves freshly cooked tasty food. The staff are very friendly and willing to accommodate the needs of any group. The food and drink is also reasonably priced for a restaurant. I'd recommend it for a leisurely bite to eat.

Cozy but sit at the back of the restaurant otherwise it's too draughty.

A mixed bag. The restaurant is a lovely rustic building, no airs and very relaxed. we found a couple of thing’s disappointing. Two of the group ordered rib eye steak. Both said it was sinewy and somewhat chewy. I was offered a couple of pieces and can confirm their view. Two of us ordered Nepalese curry which was very nice indeed. Served with fresh vegetables and rice all cooked perfectly. The steak eaters ordered a bottle of pinot noir, which is their preferred red. It wasn’t available. Why have it on the list then? I’ve read reviews and had friends report very favourably of The Copper Kitchen but we left feeling a bit disappointed.

Today (11 Nov) is the second time we visited for breakfast. We enjoyed the first time as the service was good. Today, the breakfast is slightly different as compared to the first time. The bread and sausages for the full English are different. Portion of baked beans also different. The great difference is the service. Two young servers today. Coffee missing the biscuit, no cutlery till food arrived. No check back and when I paid at the counter, the person who served us was busy texting and the other did not know which table we are paying for. I have to tell her my order. Will still come back but hope the service improves.

Rude person who answered the phone hung up twice after my trying to ask for a manager, never phoned before so this to me was just bizarre. rude member of staff needs a lesson in manners.

Had a lovely meal with my partner here the other night. We went quite early so it was quite quiet, but the atmosphere was nice and peaceful. The food was lovely and portion size matched my personal preference - I was full but not bloated and we ate everything on our plates. We had the confit duck and halloumi burger, both delicious! For dessert we had sticky toffee pudding and raspberry panacotta, both great but our fav was definitely the panacotta.

Best meal out in a long time, beautiful setting & such lovely staff, we will be back soon

Really lovely restaurant. They were out of the Lamb Shoulder when we went but subbed it for lamb steak which we had rare and it was exquisite! Also had a Goulash which too was cooked to perfection. All the staff were lovely and the place generally has a really relaxed vibe even when busy! Will 100% be going again.

Great meal in attractive restaurant. My friends had fillet steak, expensive, but they said possibly the best steak ever! I had goulash and that was awesome too. Also great service, with friendly advice on the dishes. Wouldn't hesitate to go back!

Amazing restaurant, really attentive staff and the food was of high quality. One of, if not, the best panna cottas I have ever experienced. Throughly recommend, if just for the pudding.
