Such a warm welcome, lovely food and excellent customer service. We celebrated my mother’s 90 birthday here and couldn’t have chosen better. Would highly recommend.

Good location, friendly staff and a wide choice of beers. It was fairly quiet when I was there but I sensed it had a great atmosphere. I would have liked to have stayed longer but couldn't because of previous plans.

Had a wonderful experience last Sunday. Definitely coming again for lunch/dinner :) Also, I've lost my wedding ring (and I thought I've lost it there somehow) and the hosts did their best to try and find it, for which I'm forever thankful. Well, I did find my ring eventually inside my onion bag (somehow slipped off and didn't notice until I had to cook again). All the best and we'll see you again soon :)

This is a proper proper pub, it's how pubs used to be, full of local people, friendly welcoming, we spent two sessions in here watching and loving every single minute, I can't speak highly enough of this place, wish we could become locals ourselves but we were just passing through on our travels.

Great pub. Good seating and lots of character all creating a quirky feel to the place. Good real ales, well served and friendly staff. Definitely be back; in fact we were the next day. Our go to pub when we visit our Daughter and Son in law.

First time in and all I can say that its good 👌 good beer, good decor, ok food. Friendly staff, so that's a massive plus. Definitely rcomend 🙂

As a cider lover, I was delighted to visit The White Horse and tried a pint of Stan's Big Apple. The flavour was simple but delicious. Well done to the owners to step outside the run of the mill cider offerings and choose something original. No wonder they won the CAMRA North Oxfordshire Pub of the Year Award 2024. Will definitely visit again soon!

Just like a pub SHOULD be. Friendly, helpful, clean, excellent kept beers. It's absolutely no wonder that I read this recently...."I'm very pleased to announce that The White Horse, Banbury has been voted the North Oxon CAMRA branch Pub of the Year 2024! Congratulations to all of the team. there. We had great feedback from the branch members who took part in the voting this year about all of the six shortlisted pubs". Bravo to all staff headed up by Eileen and husband. You deserve this accolade.

A great place to go if you like your ale's, big selection to choose from. Porter's, amber's and pale's, and you can ask for a taster. I've so far never had a bad pint in years from here. The place is set very old fashioned with old big leather arm chairs, little snugs, bench seats, which makes it feel cosy.

Visiting the area and had stopped at Banbury after a 3 hour drive. Made to feel very welcome, great atmosphere. Good knowledge of the beers that were available. We also had a good chat about Rum! If we had stayed in Banbury we would’ve visited every night.

Have you every wondered what happens here at 10am on a Wednesday morning every month. Well the awesome team open up early and host a local business networking event ran by #BusinessBuzz. I attended yesterday wow what a lovely place staff are awesome, the networking event was heaving with local entrepreneurs the room was #Buzzing ! Stopped for lunch let’s just say it was Lush! Will I go back for again for food hell yes, just need to find a date to take with me!

What a brilliant pub! We are from out of the area and wanted to see the rugby so landed here, it was busy but in a good way, staff were amazing. B and Jo (I think sorry poor memory but tray nice lady in a red right shirt) were very inviting. All the staff seem happy and you can tell they get on well with the locals. Always a welcoming place to visit for a good ever changing selection of beers and nice bite to eat. Last week Ken, Lou and the team went the extra mile in helping us host our daughters 18th Birthday party for family and friends. From providing the use of the back bar area, the brilliant buffet (including a bespoke tray for the sole gluten intollerant guest), Lou's conducting of the rest of the pub in singing Happy Birthday and all around help in organising a lovely afternoon for everyone attending. Everything was spot on. Has to be the friendliest, most welcoming pub in Banbury. Thanks so much for a brilliant afternoon.

We stumbled across this pub by chance, on our first visit to Banbury. Wow, we loved it! The pub is quirky, super pretty, and comfortable. We well relaxed! The pub served good quality beers, with a good cellar manager in charge. The manager, Lou, was extremely friendly and helpful. Our dogs were spoilt too. Everything was perfect, toilets clean. Hope to return on our next visit.

We had a Roast for our lunch. It was delicious just like home cooked and very generous portions. We would definitely recommend a visit for the food but the service was top notch too. From when we first walked in we were made so welcome. We're planning our next visit very soon.

This place is quite extraordinary in its array of knick-knack all across the 3 inside sitting areas. Friendly lunchtime service. Everards Tiger was on form. We would have eaten there in the evening but told that they had stopped doing food at night - so, no more Pie Thursdays - still advertised on their website BTW.

I was visiting my daughter and family from West Wales and we all decided to have a Sunday lunch in here. This was the best lunch in ages with fabulous staff and certainly real value for a proper home cooked roast lunch. I will recommend this public house to all my friends.

We visited the white horse in Banbury on Easter Sunday for a family roast lunch, there was 4 of us adults and 2 children. It was Fantastic and how nice to find a place that's not ripping you off. The food was 1st class all home cooked, we didn’t have to wait long and the staff were wonderful even to the point of packing up a little roast for us to take home for my 18 month old as he was asleep. I took my nan and auntie to this pub for lunch. We all had a fantastic lunch, I had the liver and bacon and it was to die for. My auntie is a pickie eater and the landlord catered to her without fuss. Fantastic venue, can't wait to come back.

Came in with my boyfriend and pre-booked one of their home cooked Sunday roasts and was not disappointed, as someone who is coeliac they delivered a perfect roast dinner for me with gluten free gravy and Yorkshire pudding (which is usually forgotten about) huge shout out to B and Lou who are so attentive and made our experience even better. Would absolutely recommend this place, we’ll be back!

I was nervous taking my wheelchair bound daughter to play darts here. As an old building it is hard for landlords to make things easy for us. I was delighted, l was helped in every way. I would highly recommend this pub for anyone with diminished mobility. As a town centre pub with disabled parking right out front it was a treat. We will return and try the food soon.

Love it! Been in a couple of times for a drink and great service and a lovely setting inside, I felt like I was sat in a episode of miss marple as it has a quirky little living room area. Unfortunately haven't had chance to try the food as we had to cancel our booking but the staff were really helpful when we booked and cancelled.

A really pleasant pub, selling a good selection of real ales. Food selection looked good too, but we did not eat. There is plenty of comfortable seating indoors and tasteful covered booths outdoors each catering for 4 seated. Pay parking in the car park out front.

Absolutely loved this pub and just wish we could have stayed longer! Water and biscuits for the dog, he loved getting some fuss, and a lovely cider and food for us.
