Greenhouse Cafe in Cherwell

Very friendly staff team absolutely gorgeous fantastic cakes and a lovely outdoor seating area. What brought us here was it was the only cafe in the area that stayed open later, until five. It always frustrates me when cafes close at 3/330 when at the end of a busy afternoon that is exactly the time you would like to have coffee and cake. Well done to the greenhouse Café for standing out and opening late afternoon- clearly people want this as it was very busy

We had a lovely dinner at The Greenhouse this evening, made even better by our waiter Jack who went the extra mile to ensure we had a great evening. I’d really recommend

Cutest little cafe for midweek lunch. The menu had a fabulous selection. We went for ploughman's and rarebit, tea and milkshake and were really impressed with the quality. Very tasty. Bought some cakes to go for after. Staff we really friendly and smiley. Lovely setting.

We had an afternoon tea for a colleagues leaving do. The sandwiches were very dry and very poor selection of fillings. The selection was nothing like the pictures it shows. Service was ok but very expensive for the quality.

Fabulous lunch Loved it ,staff are great ,attentive ,manager too ,great lunch ,manager was having to deal with a very difficult lady ,,but all deLt with well ,we will be returning,again and again

Unfortunately we did not get a very warm welcome from what I assume was the manager today, Firstly an unfriendly approach about where to put the pushchair. Two small children, one ordered a Tiffin cake which was not labelled correctly as it has raspberry’s in, a dislike for this little girl and when my niece tried to explain the Manager came out and stated they always have fruit in but why not state what fruit. It was said again in a very unfriendly manner. I did approach the manager in the kitchen to express my unhappiness about the way we had been spoken to. I won’t be going back disappointed!

The food here never disappoints. Always very tasty and beautifully presented by an excellent and friendly team. Excellent value too.

We’re staying in the cotswolds and this little cafe was recommended to us by some friends. What a find! They were busy, but we were swiftly greeted and taken to a table (we chose to sit outside. in a peaceful courtyard like outside area). Such a varied menu wow, so much to offer! The kind waitress helped me decide, and recommended the smashed avocado on sourdough bread which was so fresh, tasty and i ate every last bit. All staff were so pleasant and friendly with a smile on their faces. so welcoming, which really made our experience. We ordered and received our food promptly.

Had a lovely lunch with family with great food and service in the sunshine. Will definitely be coming back and would thoroughly recommend.

We have visited the cafe numerous times but today the service was terrible. We were fully aware that it is table service but were told very sternly "it's table service" by the manager. The cake display though is right next to the till point and kitchen so how were we to choose what cakes we wanted without seeing what was on offer. We were told to wait outside at our table and someone would be out to take our order and that unless we had cash they could not serve us. We gave them the table number and went back to the table. We waited......and waited.......and waited and eventually I had to go back into the cafe and ask if someone could take our order. Then we waited again. The cafe may I add was not busy so I didn't understand why we had waited so long. The staff member eventually arrived and took our order but was unapologetic and quite frankly rude. We were eventually served and the waitress spilt hot tea over the table and forgot a piece of cake. Will be going elsewhere in future.

Absolutely beautiful food, the ambience and decor are amazing. The staff are warm and welcoming when you arrive at this stunning restaurant, and the menu is different and exciting. Would 100% recommend for any occasion, from intimate romantic meals to family occasions or even corporate dining.

So pleased to have discovered this little gem of a cafe locally. Food was fabulous, service very good and we took some cake home, which was delicious. Can highly recommend.

My husband and I took our disabled daughter to the cafe. Unfortunately she has a string of seizures just after we had ordered our food. The staff were very considerate, kind and calm. They continue to work quietly around us. Then they packed our lunch and drinks for take away. They were very kind and helpful. We will be returning with our daughter in the future. We were very impressed! Thank you again.

My wife and I was shopping and fancied a well deserved drink we decided to go and have a look round and was very surprised by the outcome . We was greeted with the warmest Welcombe from the security guy , got to give it to Ali. Who found us a lovely spot and did recommend a good beer . May I say if the manager is looking at this review he is an asset to your company and was very professional at his job . Its a great place to go overlooking the canal and have a refreshment of some kind .

We use the garden centre and cafe regularly and have done so for years but our last visit to the cafe was very disappointing. Tables being served who came in after us! We got our coffees but no tea cake. We’d finished our coffee still...

Go here regularly. Lovely food and drinks. Small cafe but also has outdoor seating. Would recommend when visiting the garden centre/shop/antique centre. Plenty of parking. Cater for gluten free.

Always have the best coffee and tasty food at Greenhouse cafe, with such friendly and accommodating staff. Happy to recommend this lovely cafe.

Sadly refused to service my wife of Jamaican heritage, served literally everyone before her, and after her, anyone but her. I have to draw some conclusions, at best very poor service, at worst ........?

Miserable Staff. Not a nice experience today. Maybe they were having an off day. A smile goes a long way when you are in a customer facing job. And there are ways to speak to people to.

Love this little cafe, the drive out is through such lovely countryside. The food is excellent and the cakes are delicious too. We can definitely recommend this place.

We always have a coffee and maybe a snack or cake, really lovely food, have been several times. Its nice and clean with a good choice of foods and even some wines etc.. friendly and helpful staff.

Had a lovely relaxing lunch with my mum. The service has always been excellent and today no exception. Food is nicely presented and delicious. Friendly service. We usually have one of the amazing cakes but were too full today. Will be back again soon.

Once again our visit to the Greenhouse Cafe was superb. This time for Afternoon Tea. As always the food was fantastic with a great variety of sandwiches and cakes alongside great service. I would highly recommend making a trip to this lovely little cafe.

We stopped off here for lunch whilst in the area as a friend had recommended it and we were so glad that we did! The food was really delicious – a really good menu stretching from an all day breakfast, to salads, sandwiches and other yummy meals. There was also an incredible selection of cakes on the counter! The staff were really friendly and we had a really nice lunch here.

Had the chance to drop in to this super cafe for a spot of lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed the food which was tasty and ample. Served by pleasant and polite staff which made it welcoming. We will return and look forward to trying more of the menu. Can whole heartedly recommend this hidden gem.

Gorgeous coffee and cake, couldn’t fault it. I’m so embarrassed I forgot to leave a tip, especially after the lady kindly filled my water bottle. I will return with husband and children and make sure I leave double next time.

Myself and Mum came to the garden centre at lunch time and found this glorious tea room amongst the plants.

This is such a nice cafe to come to. We of course come for the plants? Well they are nice too. This is a quality privately run garden centre. It’s all the better for the personal touch. The cafe also benefits from this attitude to its customers. You should visit this place. I’m sure you will enjoy it as we do. A. There is Banbury Antiques Centre next door!

A nice little cafe and every thing looked and tasted home baked. The ladies were very friendly, I think we were a little unlucky in catching a bit of a rush so service was a little slow, but not bad. The home baked scones were delicious and the tea and coffee were nice. Overall a nice little place and good value.

What can I say, just wow. 3 of us visited for mother's Day afternoon tea, the food was so plentiful that we couldn't finish it, was happily packed up in doggy bags for us to take home. Met with a lovely glass of champagne, every member of staff treated us like royalty, nothing too much trouble. The food was DELICIOUS!!! All home cooked and very tasty. A wonderful afternoon tea, in a wonderful environment with first class service, what a find!! The garden centre is brilliant also, we made a few nice purchases and there is a big antiques market next door. A little off the beaten path but very well worth a visit, cannot recommend highly enough, we've had a fantastic afternoon.

Vinimos porque vimos las señales para las antigüedades un poco más abajo en la calle después de visitar cerca de Canons Ashby. Las antigüedades y el jardín son muy buenas, pero el café es simplemente la joya de la corona. Teníamos una gran taza de té en una enorme tetera y tartas preciosas pero es la amabilidad del personal que hace toda la diferencia. Genial.

Encantadora comida en un ambiente acogedor y con personal agradable. Incluso botellas de cerveza local. Claramente prevé incluir durante una visita al centro de jardín y/o la tienda de antigüedades, pero la hicimos la finalidad primaria de nuestra visita. Una amplia selección de platos ligeros. Muy complaciente para nuestras ruedas.

A spotlessly clean, friendly little cafe where service is excellent and the food fresh and delicious. It is well worth a visit. The garden centre is terrific too!

Ordered toasted sandwiches ,soup and hot drinks. This was our second visit and we were again impressed with the food ,the staff and the cafe it's self. Generous portions and eceryone cleared their plates!

Visitamos la cafetería Greenhouse hoy por primera vez después de mirar el granero de antigüedades al lado. Mi marido y mis dos hijos de 7 y 5 años dijo que era el mejor café! Nos quedamos realmente mimados desde el momento en que entramos. Una cómoda zona para sentarse, nos había sándwiches tostados, té, babycinos, que eran deliciosos y con una excelente relación calidad-precio! El personal nos hizo sentir que estábamos sentados en casa. Prestan atención especial a los niños, incluso tenían pequeños pollitos de juguete con su torta! La comida era localmente originario y absolutamente delicioso. ¡Qué delicia para visitar. Sin duda recomendaría a cualquiera y sin duda volveremos ...

Había una buena selección de comida casera. buen ambiente. personal atento. Ambiente relajado con periódicos y revistas. También hay un montón de actividades. Una gran ventaja del pueblo.
