Estate pub tucked away in the estate adjacent to the local shopping hub. Recently taken over and given a much needed facelift. Busy at times and is a place for drinkers. Called in and had a pint. Staff were friendly and was able to grab a table. Got the impression it was mostly local people in there after a long day at work.

Liz, the new landlady is doing a brilliant job of making the pub a good, clean, family venue. Drinks are a reasonable price and although there is no food available, there is a bbq van next to the pub and the Chinese opposite. Who knows perhaps in the future we may be able to get a bite to eat. She makes children welcome as well. Being a local, Liz is (in my opinion) the perfect person to turn a once bad news pub into a place the locals can be proud of.

Just got home after a meal here, there were 4 of us and no other diners at the time. My Daughter who is 9 months pregnant and I both had the lasagne which looked lovely but was actually only Luke warm & certainly wasn't at the food standards core temperature. My Husband ordered a rare rump steak and it was actually well done. Our son in laws meal was fine, when the waitress asked how our Food was I told her about the cold lasagne and over cooked steak but we had no apology or explanation. We certainly won't be visiting here again 😡

The 100 Acres is now the local you always hoped it would be. The new owners have transformed it into a friendly and welcoming well priced restaurant with excellent food. It's reputation is spreading and is well earned. We had Sunday lunch which was a choice of four meats with plenty of fresh tasty vegetables. The pricing was for one, two or three courses which was exceptionally good value. The owner, a local butcher, served very good meat as you would expect. We all enjoyed our meals and we will be back without a doubt.

There is a child friendly, secure garden and the children's menu is great. They have the chicken with new potatoes and veg, usually broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. The chicken is a whole breast which the boys love. Such a change from the usual kiddies menu of sausages, fish fingers burgers, chicken nuggets and chips!! All of the meals the adults have had have been lovely, the meat is excellent but only to be expected when John used to be a butcher. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the toilets are vey fresh and clean and the wine excellent and much needed after swimming with 2 mischievous boys!!!! Have recommended to lots of my friends.

I've always thought of this pub as a bit of a dive, rough even. We had family staying and wanted a nice Sunday roast - they asked if we had a Toby carvery local to us. As we had heard good reviews lately, since the new owner took over last year, and know how good the butcher's shop the owner ran previously had been, we decided to try it. The food was fantastic and even the fussiest in our group said it was one of, if not THE best roast ever. Top marks for food and service; the meat was just perfect and lots of it. Definitely not mass produced like some chain restaurants. After our meal, the owner, John, came over in person to talk to us and ask how our meal had been. We will definitely go back, and soon.

Went for Sunday lunch with friends who live locally. I would say prices are really good, you get the portion you pay for. Hot food, cooked well, served with a smile. For me though I would rather pay a little more and have a larger portion, two roast potatoes, two slices of meat and two tiny tiny parsnips, veg and gravy separately too. For the price which was something like £10.50 for two courses then it is value for money. The puddings, assuming home made stole the show for me! Really good sticky toffee pudding good chocolate tart, banoffee pie...you know they are good when everyone around the table shares each other's!

Wow! We were really impressed with our Sunday dinner at Hundred Acres. We have lived almost opposite the pub for 12 years and never ventured in. Recently we had heard from friends that the pub was under new ownership and worth going in for food, so with a voucher that had come through our door we decided to give it a try. First expressions of the inside were much better than we had expected - clean, presentable and welcoming. We didn't feel an outsider and felt comfortable being there with two children. Sunday roast menu was excellent - options to have 1, 2, or 3 courses and prices were very good. There was a choice from 4 meats and a wide choice of puddings. We all had a roast, 2 of us having lamb, one of us had beef and one had chicken. Roast was excellent - tasty, potatoes were yummy, good selection and plenty of vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and extra gravy. Just could not fault. Excellent that they offer a children's roast too as both of our children like this option. Puddings were all lovely - highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding with custard. Good portion sizes all round. Service was also good. Have booked to come again as was so impressed. Hopefully this will be one of many visits to this pub now we know it is like this and brilliant it is on our door step too. Thank you.

The bar stocked a range of ales and had a beautiful lay out.the staff are always so friendly and helpful you are a guest and never rushed! The chef never fails to make an appearance to check on your meal which is lovely in this day and age. The portions are very large and everything on your plate has as much love and attention as each other. The gammon steak is the best in Bicester! No "chewy bits" and the lasagne was packed full of indgredients the food is freshly made and simply delicious. Superb lamb with roast potatoes, veg, gravy and Yorkshire pudding. The roast chicken was excellent, too. This place has really gone up in the world and is a delight as a local pub. It's run by the chap who used to have the butchers shop in Launton village (and his wife) so we sort of expected the food to be good quality. And it was.
