Last minute decision to visit here for Sunday lunch and they were very good in finding us a great table. The service was also very engaging also. Really good roast chicken Sunday and chocolate mouse dessert, They made a fuss of my husband as it was his birthday also. It also has great views across the Solent and the outdoor pods are fun also.

Having eaten here 2 nights. The food standard was excellent both nights. The ambience in the restaurant would be better with more clients. The service on both evenings was attentive without being intrusive.. The trout small plate was delightful in taste and presentation. The lamb and duck dishes were cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. Both dishes were well balanced and filling. The cod dish was very filling and an unusual presentation of cod and crab. The meal was complete with great champagne and wine without a need for a pudding! Compliments to the kitchen brigade and waiting staff

My wife came here with some girlfriends and raved about it so much we came back with some friends for Saturday lunch. Lovely ambience, very attentive staff, the owner is a warm and friendly presence. Food was amazing, in particular my spicy prawn cocktail starter. My main was a little disappointing but I think I simply chose badly - steak frites, not a great cut. Will choose differently next time. Well worth a visit.

Crab and mackerel right by the sea. What more could you want? Not cheap, but nobody wants a cheap crab pasty and everything is here is top quality and is really good value. The wine is good quality too and compliments the food. Also, the setting is fab and with access a bit challenging you feel as if your meal is well earned.

The staff were extremely helpful accommodating our need to change time for Sunday lunch. 3 of us went and we all opted for roast as a treat. I fancied pork, but on this particular Sunday beef was the only option. The beef was tender and done perfectly for rare, as I like it. However for £23 being plated up only 1 slice of beef seemed a little stingy. The Yorkshire pudding was amazing but I would have preferred more veggies as the meal was served with creamed leeks, parsnips, cabbage and roast potatoes. The roast potatoes were beautifully crunchy on the outside with soft centres and were by far the best of the vegetables. We didn't have dessert. The Guinness was well poured and fresh. The waitresses were attentive without being intrusive and the men's toilets were clean. Overall a nice atmosphere in a cosy setting but not the best value for money, in my opinion. There was sufficient parking and it is a decent location

We had lovely succulent cod in really crispy batter with crispy chips that had a nice soft centre, all with salt and vinegar that you can actually taste! The portions sizes are very generous and all the staff are lovely even at the busiest of times. In our opinion this is the BEST fish n chips in Banbury by far!

A very nice little cafe with great coffee and cakes. Its clean and well decorated. It has its own individual style. My only gripe was that the staff were very loud when talking to each other, to the point that there were times I could barely hear my friend I was sitting with.
