My family and I often come to the New Clock. Cheap drinks, large wine list and plenty of food to choose from. Service is always impeccable, especially from the the host Abi

Halloween breakfast was amazing my children enjoyed I have fussy eaters the chefs and staff was fantastic big shout to tim who came to make sure all wad good thanks so much

The food was great, we were served quickly and real value for money. The staff were very friendly and patient. Matt chandler was great to. We will definitely be returning to this place for our future family meet ups. My grandchildren didn’t have time to get bored with the outside space we hardly see them. We all had a lovely evening.

Lovely service from Chloe and Jamie who were both very prompt and cheerful in serving, as usual food was good and came out quickly.

Fabulous local pub, the staff are always super friendly. We came in today for a couple of drinks and snacks (the halloumi strips with sweet chilli sauce, and sweet potato fries were delicious). Spoke to Cassie who was very friendly, chatty and attentive, nothing was too much trouble, and Abbie, who welcomed us initially, was lovely too. Thank you, will definitely be returning.

We came over for a nice lunch as we had been here the year before and had a great experience! Sunday we came back, my partner got a burger it looked great and he really enjoyed it but unfortunately when I received my dinner, I had a roast and the whole thing came cold! The waiter took it back, got me a new one and it still wasn’t hot, I feel it was more luke warm and it seemed it had been microwaved! No one checked back after that, so ate the meat and Yorkshire and left as I just couldn’t beleive the service we received, maybe one day I’ll return and get something better than this!

Really friendly Staff (Jason and Lily and Jeffrey, and of course the kitchen staff!) Very good service, we had breakfast, 6 of us, so it was 5 full English and a burrito! All delicious and served quickly, all hot and freshly cooked. Will be back for dinner tomorrow night 😉

A party of four who lunch every Monday at different venues. Keep coming back to the New Clock inn. Booked for 12-30 the pub was very busy. The server was a superhero.Never seen anyone carrying plates of food out so quickly and efficiently. But still so friendly and attentative. Food was delicious and hot and very reasonable. A lovely place caters for all ages. . Would recommend.

My friends and I went to the clock inn, Eastleigh for breakfast on 12th April, it's our first time visit.. And we were not very impressed.. No hot drinks!! We asked for a full English breakfast and it's not a full English, we were ask black pudding or toast..?? Sausage is white!! Not even cooked or brown at all.. It was disgusting yuck!! Acting manager is not manger material and we got our money back and We never go back again ever! We ended up in katarina's it was lovely..

I have to write to thoroughly applaud the staff at The New Clock Inn for their calm and poise, professionalism and dignity when dealing with a trio this morning at breakfast I regularly go here for their delicious breakfast where the atmosphere is inviting, friendly and jovial even at such early serving times Unfortunately today was attempted to be ruined and disrupted by a particularly rude, belligerent and loudly swearing member of a three some sat at the adjacent table receiving their great looking breakfasts before me Despite NEVER actually tasting nor even touching their meals proceeded to loudly and aggressively complain - with no basis - to the point where they were immediately offered, replacement meals, refunds and then an email address for which they can lodge a complaint - they then left - thankfully - to tarnish another establishment My meal came and was it's usually excellent High standard and served with a smile even after being put through their earlier ordeal I witnessed other customers laving after their totally clean plates and commenting on the excellence of their breakfasts I suggested to staff that the entire farce appeared planned and contrived as an attempt to gain a remuneration/voucher and that they - the staff - deserved a medal for the way they handled the two that were complaining, I have to say the third member was quite happy to tuck into his meal but was stopped by the other two telling him not to touch it and he himself was honestly thoroughly embarrassed by the whole farce! The only downer on the atmosphere was the leader of the trio - to whom I advised that if there was a problem with my meal then I'd quietly talk to the staff to seek a remedy instead if loudly, rudely swear about it where families with young children are sat close by! My meal and service was excellent as always

3 of us went for a full plate cooked breakfast with coffee. Served by Jason and Kieran, service was polite, friendly and attentive. The breakfast was huge and very satisfying. Great value. Couldn't eat that much on a regular basis, but would definitely go back.

My husband and I visited today for our anniversary meal and there was a nice clean table reserved for us. We ordered using the app and the food arrived within minutes. The portion sizes were good for the cheap price. We were served by Jason who was very polite and wore a mask at all times. Our dessert was delicious and we didn’t have to wait long at all. We were very happy with the food, the cleanliness of the place and our table service. We will be back again soon.

We took my son and his family to the New Clock Inn on 18th July - our first family meal out since lockdown. I was told when I booked that because there was 7 of us we couldn't all fit at the same table, which is fair enough. I asked for 2 tables as near to each other as possible and when we arrived we were shown to a booth at the back of the premises with a small table at least 8 foot away (tables 1 and 4 I believe). I asked if we could change tables as that was ridiculous and we sat the other side of the room on two tables right next to each other. One of my grandaughters ordered a child's Sunday roast and the menu clearly states that roasts come with roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, carrots, green beans, cauliflower,peas, yorkshire pudding and gravy. When her meal came there was only mashed potatoe on it and no cauliflower or yorkshire pudding. One of her favourite things is roast potatoes. When we queried this we were told she could have some roast potatoes, which were brought to the table, but no cauliflower or yorkshire pudding. She did enjoy her meal, but it would have been nicer for her if everything had been on the plate. One of my grandaughters is coeliac and therefore must have gluten free food. We were given the gluten free menu and she ordered a steak, which was advertised as having a jacket potato and peas with it. When her meal arrived it had chips on the plate. When I queried it I was told that she could have a jacket if she wanted to, but she decided to keep the chips, which was fair enough. There was also an onion ring on her plate. I asked the server whether this was gluten free and he went to check. He returned with a small dish and took the onion ring off of her plate saying the chef said it wasn't gluten free. We assumed, as I believe most people would, that if you order from a gluten free menu everything on the plate would be gluten free. As we are so careful with what she eats, we always check if we are not sure. if we hadn't checked and she had eaten the onion ring my grandaughter would have been extremely ill. This really is a very bad mistake on behalf of the chef/kitchen staff and needs to be looked into. The rest of the food was ok and to be fair my grandaughter did enjoy her meal. It was good value and was served quickly.

Visited twice recently with family and friends because a) it is local and b) because the food and service are both excellent. I think you would have to go a long to get better value for money and choice of dishes for all tastes. The staff are always friendly and welcoming

My fiancé and I are new to the area, so decided to visit on a Saturday and the place had a wonderful atmosphere! I had a few large wines and it was fair to say there was something for everyone, with a large selection. We had amazing service from a lovely girl named barley (spelling?) who never failed to make us smile. Overall a very enjoyable experience and we will definitely be returning with friends!:)

I went to the New Clock Inn the other night for food and drinks with my friends and I must admit that service I received was the best I have ever had. Professional staff, great drinks, not to mention delicious meals. I strongly recommend visiting, I'll be back for sure!

People are quick to complain about the odd wait or the occasional mix up but under the fantastic management they have turned the pub around. The way they have organised the restaurant for social distancing is very well thought out. The staff are generally well trained. Food is good. I love to go there as its local to me and you are always welcomed with ap smile

I was particularly impressed with how clean everything was being kept and noted that all the staff I saw were consistently using the hand sanitised and cleaning surfaces. Great service from Kieron. Tenía muchas ganas de tener un buen almuerzo con mi esposa. En la entrada, llevaba una máscara y mi esposa tenía un cordón de girasol (lo que demuestra que está exenta de usar una máscara facial). Se le pidió que se pusiera uno que no era un problema y luego les informamos a los 2 hombres en la puerta que estaba exenta a través de ellos. En lugar de simplemente decir que estaba bien, le preguntaron por qué estaba exenta. En el sitio web del gobierno se indica claramente que no es necesario que le diga a ningún funcionario por qué está exento y mucho menos a un niño que trabaja en un bar. Esto realmente molestó a mi esposa que sufre severamente con ataques de ansiedad. Después de buscar en línea si eso estaba bien, se le permitió la entrada, pero en general arruinó nuestro almuerzo.

He sido un gran admirador de The Clock Inn durante bastantes años, y con toda honestidad, me ha impresionado aún más desde COVID. Las medidas de distanciamiento social son muy buenas. Por ejemplo, algunas de las mesas están marcadas como no disponibles, lo que observaré que algunos pubs no se han molestado en hacer desde la reapertura. La comida también es de muy alto nivel y tiene una mejor relación calidad-precio que en muchos otros lugares. Muy espacioso y cómodo por dentro, gran área de estar al aire libre también. Vine aquí con mi familia para tomar una copa y comer algo. Gracias a Covid, nos trajeron todo, ¡ni siquiera tuvimos que movernos! El personal usó máscaras faciales y se hicieron mesas socialmente distanciadas y todas las mesas fueron desinfectadas cada vez que un cliente había comido. Fue una experiencia maravillosa con mi familia cenando juntos por una vez. La comida era deliciosa y salió rápido y todo el personal fue muy amable al conseguirnos lo que queríamos y se aseguró de que todos estuviéramos contentos. Recomiendo venir aquí, muy familiar.

Great atmosphere and very polite and helpful staff at the bar and with food, Georgia was the waitress who served us who was very nice and asked us to write a review. Popped in here on the off chance and pleased to say they could accommodate us even though we hadn’t booked.Amazing deal on a Monday Steak for £5 & kids eat for a £1 also had a pint of Guinness and a cappuccino. Bill should have been £19 but because if eat out to help out only £11 a real bargain!Staff friendly and accommodating . Staff made you aware of where hand gel stations were and great social distancing in place - we felt very safe. Would highly recommend for a bargain lunch
