Had lovely meal which was steak whiich was done to perfection kieran was r server who looked after us all evening also barley was good we had a 5star service diane and kevin cant wait to return go treat yourself.

Jason our bar tender/waiter was exceptionally helpful and made us feel welcome. The food was so tasty and filling. We are planning our next visit already!

3 of us went for a full plate cooked breakfast with coffee. Served by Jason and Kieran, service was polite, friendly and attentive. The breakfast was huge and very satisfying. Great value. Couldn't eat that much on a regular basis, but would definitely go back.

My husband and I visited today for our anniversary meal and there was a nice clean table reserved for us. We ordered using the app and the food arrived within minutes. The portion sizes were good for the cheap price. We were served by Jason who was very polite and wore a mask at all times. Our dessert was delicious and we didn’t have to wait long at all. We were very happy with the food, the cleanliness of the place and our table service. We will be back again soon.

We took my son and his family to the New Clock Inn on 18th July - our first family meal out since lockdown. I was told when I booked that because there was 7 of us we couldn't all fit at the same table, which is fair enough. I asked for 2 tables as near to each other as possible and when we arrived we were shown to a booth at the back of the premises with a small table at least 8 foot away (tables 1 and 4 I believe). I asked if we could change tables as that was ridiculous and we sat the other side of the room on two tables right next to each other. One of my grandaughters ordered a child's Sunday roast and the menu clearly states that roasts come with roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, carrots, green beans, cauliflower,peas, yorkshire pudding and gravy. When her meal came there was only mashed potatoe on it and no cauliflower or yorkshire pudding. One of her favourite things is roast potatoes. When we queried this we were told she could have some roast potatoes, which were brought to the table, but no cauliflower or yorkshire pudding. She did enjoy her meal, but it would have been nicer for her if everything had been on the plate. One of my grandaughters is coeliac and therefore must have gluten free food. We were given the gluten free menu and she ordered a steak, which was advertised as having a jacket potato and peas with it. When her meal arrived it had chips on the plate. When I queried it I was told that she could have a jacket if she wanted to, but she decided to keep the chips, which was fair enough. There was also an onion ring on her plate. I asked the server whether this was gluten free and he went to check. He returned with a small dish and took the onion ring off of her plate saying the chef said it wasn't gluten free. We assumed, as I believe most people would, that if you order from a gluten free menu everything on the plate would be gluten free. As we are so careful with what she eats, we always check if we are not sure. if we hadn't checked and she had eaten the onion ring my grandaughter would have been extremely ill. This really is a very bad mistake on behalf of the chef/kitchen staff and needs to be looked into. The rest of the food was ok and to be fair my grandaughter did enjoy her meal. It was good value and was served quickly.

Visited twice recently with family and friends because a) it is local and b) because the food and service are both excellent. I think you would have to go a long to get better value for money and choice of dishes for all tastes. The staff are always friendly and welcoming

Jason was great! Food was really hot and fast! Only bug was we went on a Thursday and it was free dessert, unfortunately no where did it say this was with the big plate specials only... probably should make that more obvious...

My fiancé and I are new to the area, so decided to visit on a Saturday and the place had a wonderful atmosphere! I had a few large wines and it was fair to say there was something for everyone, with a large selection. We had amazing service from a lovely girl named barley (spelling?) who never failed to make us smile. Overall a very enjoyable experience and we will definitely be returning with friends!:)

Came here for a family birthday recently and the staff at the Clock were excellent from start to finish!! Table service was superb - in particular a young lady called Lillie who was not only very attentive but also very polite and courteous throughout our visit. Will definitely be returning.. I went to the New Clock Inn the other night for food and drinks with my friends and I must admit that service I received was the best I have ever had. Professional staff, great drinks, not to mention delicious meals. I strongly recommend visiting, I'll be back for sure!

People are quick to complain about the odd wait or the occasional mix up but under the fantastic management they have turned the pub around. The way they have organised the restaurant for social distancing is very well thought out. The staff are generally well trained. Food is good. I love to go there as its local to me and you are always welcomed with ap smile

came in for food and drinks with friends, had a perfectly cooked medium rare rump steak. I was particularly impressed with how clean everything was being kept and noted that all the staff I saw were consistently using the hand sanitised and cleaning surfaces. Great service from Kieron. Tenía muchas ganas de tener un buen almuerzo con mi esposa. En la entrada, llevaba una máscara y mi esposa tenía un cordón de girasol (lo que demuestra que está exenta de usar una máscara facial). Se le pidió que se pusiera uno que no era un problema y luego les informamos a los 2 hombres en la puerta que estaba exenta a través de ellos. En lugar de simplemente decir que estaba bien, le preguntaron por qué estaba exenta. En el sitio web del gobierno se indica claramente que no es necesario que le diga a ningún funcionario por qué está exento y mucho menos a un niño que trabaja en un bar. Esto realmente molestó a mi esposa que sufre severamente con ataques de ansiedad. Después de buscar en línea si eso estaba bien, se le permitió la entrada, pero en general arruinó nuestro almuerzo.

He sido un gran admirador de The Clock Inn durante bastantes años, y con toda honestidad, me ha impresionado aún más desde COVID. Las medidas de distanciamiento social son muy buenas. Por ejemplo, algunas de las mesas están marcadas como no disponibles, lo que observaré que algunos pubs no se han molestado en hacer desde la reapertura. La comida también es de muy alto nivel y tiene una mejor relación calidad-precio que en muchos otros lugares. Muy espacioso y cómodo por dentro, gran área de estar al aire libre también. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

Vine aquí con mi familia para tomar una copa y comer algo. Gracias a Covid, nos trajeron todo, ¡ni siquiera tuvimos que movernos! El personal usó máscaras faciales y se hicieron mesas socialmente distanciadas y todas las mesas fueron desinfectadas cada vez que un cliente había comido. Fue una experiencia maravillosa con mi familia cenando juntos por una vez. La comida era deliciosa y salió rápido y todo el personal fue muy amable al conseguirnos lo que queríamos y se aseguró de que todos estuviéramos contentos. Recomiendo venir aquí, muy familiar.

Popped in here on the off chance and pleased to say they could accommodate us even though we hadn’t booked.Amazing deal on a Monday Steak for £5 & kids eat for a £1 also had a pint of Guinness and a cappuccino. Bill should have been £19 but because if eat out to help out only £11 a real bargain!Staff friendly and accommodating . Staff made you aware of where hand gel stations were and great social distancing in place - we felt very safe. Would highly recommend for a bargain lunch

Had a lovely meal here last week. It was the hottest day of the year but the staff were brilliant and very friendly. The control at the door was great although walk in customers were being very rude to the young guy on the door.. Matt the manager was very entertaining. The food was lovely, he has certainly made a difference to the pub since he took over. It's worth a visit

Not the best first use of the takeaway facilities. Ordered a meal for family of six via the app, specifying a collection time. Food was 20 minutes late. Not a good start. Food unpacked and discovered missing item. What food we did have was dry and unappetising. Burger buns dry and tough. Chips looked and tasted as if they had been through the cooker quite a few times. Pizza seemed to be lacking a vital ingredient - cheese. Whilst cleaning up and separating the foil from the cardboard container I found a dead fly under the foil. A phone call has been made to the Duty Manager so has been made aware.

So we have made regular visits prior lockdown and since you have reopened, I would just like to say we felt really safe in your pub, all staff wearing masks, gloves, a one in one out toilet's system and tables distanced apart. The food on all occasions as we tend to stick with steak meals have been to the to the highest standard possible. We will be back again and am telling others to try.

Booked a table very easily on line,day and time to suit our visit.Very impressed with all the safety measures in place,all staff wore masks,table service and disposal menus,sanitisers .Would recommend that customers return to The Clock at Fairoak,they willi feel complete safe and enjoy a reasonable priced meal with helpful and well informed staff

We've been here three times now and have always been pleased with the food,service and value for money. As a vegetarian there are very good options, i especially like the halloumi sandwich , We will definitely visit again.

Visited this establishment and eveything was perfect from when walkednl through the for to when we exited. We ordered a mixture of meals roast dinners which were a high standard and steals meals which were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. We will be back

Phoned up myself and booked a table for 6 and 2 infants for Sunday 26th Jan, when we arrived a rude man said we dont take telephone bookings as if I had lied but reluntantly found us a table. Food came out at different times for our party which was dissapointing , if the first people hadnt started theirs would have been cold by the time mine arrived. most of the food a little over cooked

Visited the pub today which was very very busy, the 2 young guys on front of house Kieron and Ross smashed it! They handle the rush like professionals although they were megga understaffed!!!! Food was hot and brought out quickly. These 2 guys are a credit to your company and deserve some serious recognition!!! Many thanks guys and great work.

Since this pub was refurbished it has improved 100%. It has lost its dark, dingy feel and is now bright and clean. The new manager is very friendly, professional and has worked hard to bring the place round. Not only have the pub and atmosphere greatly improved but so has the food. The menu is vast and the children's menu is pretty good too with choices for even the pickiest eater.

Food was excellent, staff very attentive, food was cheap on the pocket and good portions, wines spirits and lagers very good price, toilets very clean and smelled of cleaning products and fresheners, the eating area clean and tidy , I enjoyed it that much me and the family went there on three separate occasions and tried out the different specials on the menu , overall excellent I would definitely recommend this place to everyone

First time to spend our Christmas day at The New Clock Inn - and it was absolutely FANTASTIC! From the moment we arrived until we staggered out full to the brim afterwards - it was perfect. Jay and the staff made it really special, greeting card waiting on the table - amazing food (well done chef!) extensive menu choices that ensured everyone had something to eat they loved. Extremely well priced for Christmas Day and totally delicious. Thank you so much for really making our day special.

We had a very poor meal for which I wrote previously and am delighted to say that the manager took the trouble tocontact me and resolved the problem to my entire satisfaction. He did also explain that several circumstances conspired to the poor meal and he had taken steps to try to ensure it doesn't happen again to anyone else.

Booked for a Christmas get together. We got 2 tables pushed together which was fine for the 8 of us, but to get to my seat I had to either crawl under the table to get to my seat or disturb a table of diners who where already trying to enjoy their meal. I chose to to the latter. When I squeezed into my seat I hoped I didn’t need to leave it until the end of the meal or it was again under the table and disturb my friends sat on the other side who in turn would have to disturb the people behind them as the chair backs were against each other the table was that close or disturb the other diners in the table that I had to originally disturb on the way to my seat. The staff were friendly but not really prepared, despite we had prebooked and 5 of us had already placed the order for Xmas menu. When the meal arrived the poor guy knocked over the wine covering the table but just missing the people at it. He promised to bring more wine but it took about 30 minutes and we had to remind another member of staff. We were handed a large amount of napkins to dry the table ourselves. The food was hot apart from the veg which were cold, but no one wanted to have them reheated in the microwave so cold veg it was.

We were a large party Monday evening but the food and service were outstanding, food quick delicious food only noticed Ross had a name badge on who mentioned James and Laura were the chef's We are back for our Xmas meals in few weeks

This is our family's go to restaurant for a meal out. Staff are always friendly, although sometimes understaffed. 95% of the time what we want is available to order and is served hot & cooked well.

After a numerous of positive reviews we arranged an get together 2/12 and we weren't disappointed, majority of us ordered steaks meals which I have to say out of many restaurants we been too, these were cooked to perfection and had so much flavour just made them that much better. The other lady had a very pleasant lasagne..

We took our grandson and his partner on Satuday 16 November at 1pm for lunch before they leave to work abroad and having been a customer for some 12 years I can honestly say we have never had such a poor meal and service. On bringing the matter to the attention of the deputy manager, he shrugged his shoulders and said he'd tell the chef! Not only did he not have a name badge neither did any of the other staff. The chicken New Yorkers were dry; cheese stuck to dish, tomato burnt and actually presented with 8 chips! Vegetarian chick pea curry was so small and again the naan bread burnt and cold. The 4th item the name of I cannot remember was a baguette with chicken and again the chicken was dry . This very poor meal plus 6 drinks cost £55.62!!

I ordered a meal and due to receiving bad news could not eat it. The staff came over and offered me a giftcard for a future visit.

Visited this pub today with 3 of my grandaughters and my daughter in law and was very very disappointed. I ordered our food at approximately midday and at 12.30 had to ask one of the staff how much longer it was going to be. I was told "another 5 minutes". 10 minutes later I went up to the bar when I saw the table next to us, who had come in about 15 minutes after us were having their food brought out.

Haven’t been here for a while, the food and service were both excellent as were the staff who were friendly quick and polite. Jason greeted us on entry even though he was busy serving.

Spent an evening at the new clock inn for son's engagement. Excellent service, excellent prices on both drink and food. Staff really attentive. Round of drinks including two doubles, three bottled beers and a pint of ale still came in under 20 pounds. Will certainly come back.
