Great place, which has so much potential but needs new staff as their behaviour indicates they hate being there. Once you know their rules (I’ll list below) it can be a pleasant visit as you can avoid the people entirely and enjoy a nice drink, unless it’s a Latte….. Follow these top tips: Don’t ever pronounce latte incorrectly. Ask the man how to say it and then repeat as required. Don’t ask for a cheese and egg toasted sandwich the wrong way round. Read the order verbatim from the menu, that’s how he likes it. Don’t ask to use the toilet unless you have physical evidence of a purchase from the cafe in your hands. Although taking a sandwich to the toilet is not ideal, it’s saves you being gaslit whilst being desperate for the loo. Read all signs before entering the premises, even the ones you can’t see. Talk about the country of India, he’ll be putty in your hands. NEVER ask for a high chair, you’ll be sent to exile. Stick to these rules and you’ll avoid any psychological damage that would occur otherwise. Hope this helps others who are wishing to visit! I’d say it’s worth it, especially if you thrive off breaking the rules!

This place is a little tricky to find but once we found it we loved every minute. We had the full breakfast, eggs, sausage, bacon, beans, bubble and squeak, toast etc, incredible value and delivered piping hot and you do get a full plate !! Coffee was very nice (one of the best in Bucks apparently), seats are outside and overlooking a very busy and interesting airfield with helicopters and planes flying around you. Not sure what other reviews are complaining about, I absolutely love the fact that the owner doesn't put up with antisocial children and precious mums. The majority of people probably love to come here and just relax in this lovely cafe with no annoyances, Would definitely return, lovely breakfast and lovely cafe.

What a find this was, I popped in for a quick drink and a snack, The food selection was great and the prices were really fair. I met the lovely Chef/ owner who was very pleasant and chatty. The food was made very quickly, I had a toastie and must say it was honestly the best toastie I have ever had. The cafe is right by airside and as the weather was so nice he had all the front doors open so was a lovely spot to sit and eat whilst watching the planes either inside or outside. It is thoroughly recommended and I will definitely be back for more.

Extremely rude cafe manager who clearly does not like children. I often bring my son here to watch the planes but we hadn’t been to the cafe before as it was always shut so thought we’d give it a go. I arrived with my 2 year old and newborn at 10:30am on a Tuesday so it was quiet with just one other table. As I approached the cafe entrance I was abruptly told “no buggies in here” (which my newborn was in as I didn’t want to leave her outside unattended) I was taken off guard as he then said “big sign right there” pointing to the door. I turned back around and sat on a table outside as we obviously were not welcome. He then came out and said “will you be ordering as a paying customer”. To that I explained I would have been but not anymore. He then told me to go and sit on the other side of the fence, saying it wasn’t personal but it certainly felt like it was. There are tables you can sit on and bring your own food next to the cafe with the same view of the planes and helicopters (minus the rude cafe owner). I’d highly suggest doing this if you have children with you. This should be a really fun family day out, my little boy brought his toy plane with him and was so excited however this is ruined by a grumpy man who should spread a bit more joy for the little things in life

We visited for the first time today after hearing how good it was from friends. We weren’t disappointed, indeed it exceeded our expectations. The building is on the edge of the airfield; it is constructed of a green oak frame which in itself was great to see. I had the breakfast burger which comprised a beef pattie, sausage, bacon and fried egg. Quite a plateful! The burgers are homemade and delicious. My wife had a steak and onion sandwich which was terrific too. We thoroughly enjoyed both, other choice on the menu looked just as good, we look forward to tasting more of these on further visits. Thank you.

Upon arriving the cafe was not busy, the lady behind the counter was very unapproachable. I ordered and gave my drink there and then. It was served on an extremely dirty tray- quite off putting. I went to sit down and also noticed the cup etc wasn’t the cleanest. my food arrived shortly after. A fish finger sandwich-nothing special just slapped between two slices of bread. The lady didn’t offer any sauce or anything. Wasn’t anything special other than can watch the planes.

First visit but definitely not the last. The Crew Room was recommended by a nearby resident so went along for lunch. Freshly cooked with large portions. So pleased we made the effort. A destination restaurant from now on. Visit during the week when it’s not too busy, weekends are and the long queue will be an indication of the popularity and quality. If you get chance to chat with the owner then you could be entertained for ages!

I would highly recommend the Crewroom in Denham to anyone looking for a great spot to grab a bite and relax. The location next to the aircraft is a unique and exciting touch that adds to the overall experience. I particularly enjoyed the delicious jacket potatoes on offer, which were cooked to perfection and served with a variety of tasty fillings. And to top it off, the hot drinks were the perfect way to warm up on a chilly day. But what really stood out to me was the fantastic service provided by the friendly and attentive staff. They truly went above and beyond to ensure that my visit was enjoyable and comfortable. Overall, the Crewroom in Denham is a must-visit for anyone in the area, whether you're an aviation enthusiast or just looking for a cozy spot to grab a bite. Highly recommended!

Having visited a day before, the breakfast was good (not great just good) even if the owners were a little grumpy to begin with.. they warmed up later perhaps because we spent over £40 on food when everyone else had only drinks? Having revisited the following day with two children ( baby and toddler) we ordered coffee sonly. I went into the restaurant to get a spoon for our toddlers food and only found forks so took one from those laid out assuming it was fine. The lady (I presume owner) walked from the kitchen area, took the fork out of my hand and exclaimed ‘you only ordered drinks!’ embarrassing me in front of other guests . I was made to feel like a common thief! Shocking behaviour and really dampened our mood for the day. On my way out I saw a sign saying ‘only food from the cafe can be consumed in site’ . The owner never explained this to me when she snatched the fork out of my hand (she knew I was there the day before for the first time ). Nevertheless if she had given me a chance to explain, I’d have told her it was for the baby food.

This place is a hidden gem! 10/10 and here’s why… We went to meet family there and sat in the beautiful morning sunshine for brunch. Teas/ coffees were hot ! (hate it when they are served not steaming lol). A lunch and breakfast menu was available (we went at 10am) . My dad went for a lovely full cooked breakfast and he was raving about how it was fresh and local produce (proper sausages!) The rest of us just picked sausage/bacon sarnie & chips. The owner was fantastic, he was attentive to us all, my boy (2yrs old) loved being given an extra glass of milk with a giant straw. Dogs were welcome outside and big bowl of fresh water provided, along with the owner coming out to treat the dog with a couple small dog biscuits. Learned he loves dogs and as we relaxed in the sunshine and had more rounds of cuppas we enjoyed chatting to him. One of the biggest bonuses of all… THE AIRFEILD!!! We watched small planes and helicopters land and take off, Not just occasionally… every 5/10 mins! Couldn’t have picked a better brunch location. I bet he must be packed at the weekend of others know about this place. We will most definitely be coming back!

Ed’s cafe (The Crew Room) at Denham Aerodrome has been a favourite spot of my Dads since 2010 when he had a flying lesson up there. Looking out over the airfield there’s always something to look at but you are also in the countryside. Don’t worry if you have nothing to do with flying or the airfield it’s a public cafe with outside space. Ed’s an awesome character and the food is great for a mid walk treat or a trip out in your car for a break or lunch. The toasties are UH-MAZ-ZING! Like the ones you eat where you know the person making them has been doing it for years. An awesome little spot on a hot summers day or on a cold winter one. Outside/takeaway service during CV19 and a lovely place to get out to ☕️Susan and John Glenny (Amersham)

I took my grand kids here after a long while away and it just reminded me how some of the simple things in life are the best.Plane spoting for older children and adults can be a serious hobby but to young kids its just a boat load of fun. Seeing small planes taxi and take off. Helicopters rise and circle is just mesmorizing to kids. The cafe serves very good coffee and fruit drinks for the kids. I always treat them to the short bread biscuits which are a little pricey here but boy do they go down well. As I have my aircraft based at Denham airfield, I am a frequent visitor to Ed's super-friendly café... I love it, but why?Well the coffee is great for sure, as is the food - a cut above your average airfield café, everything is made fresh. And then there's the sausages - which might sound odd climbing from me as a vegetarian, but our German Shepherd Skyla loves them..!But even that's not why I love The Crew Room - for me, as a pilot, it's that so many family groups come to the café to enjoy the food, drinks AND looking at the aircraft coming and going...! I always wave at the excited kids as I taxi past the café. And yesterday for example, I had two toddlers who wanted a look around the aircraft - I wish that someone had done that for me when I was a kid, so I always oblige...!So this is why I love Ed's Crew Room - it's the perfect combination of great food and drink, and the buzz of a GA airfield with enthusiasts young and old enjoying the atmosphere of one of London's best general aviation airfields..!

Obviously a well liked place, looking at the reviews, but was charged £12 for 2 teas and 2 average pieces of cake. I questioned the price but too late not to create a fuss and therefore spoil a pleasant day out. Just something to be aware of...………………..…………………..

Wow! Couple of brilliant coffees, an incredible pizza and hearty brunch for my partner. We’ve heard about this cafe sitting with open views of the runway and we are so glad we visited. We enjoyed our meal in a clean, peaceful and welcoming environment and got more than our money’s worth! The owner was so helpful, kind and we had a great laugh. The pizza I must say was something special, 100% recommended! Perfect spot for an morning/afternoon date, and we will be back to try more on the menu!

Been to this little gem a few times now, always consistent with the quality of the food, service and an extremely reasonable price tag to match! Such a lovely family run business with hearty home cooked style food, the breakfasts are always devine and the owner is so lovely, prompt and more than happy to accomodate :) will always recommend and will definitely be coming back!

Visited here after a walk. Had small cappuccino, hot chocolate, Danish pastry and a slice of carrot cake-£13.60! Yes it was nice but price ridiculous. We have visited Windsor and paid only £10 for the same. I did wonder if I’d been overcharged but it appears not. Wouldn’t visit again and wouldn’t recommend because of the cost of our snack!

What a gem! My 2 year old nephew had a lovely time watching the planes whilst we ate a hearty and great value full English breakfast. A brilliant find! Thank you!

What a find. What a great little Cafe, perfect for any aviation enthusiast with its ideal location on the airfield. Extremely friendly owner who established this Gem 11 years ago. We had the Ham, Egg and Chips which was extremely tasty and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this place for a drink and or a bite to eat. Who knows you may bump into a Hollywood film star whilst you’re there, the likes of Harrison Ford, Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt have sampled the delights on offer in recent past after a busy days filming at Pinewood Studios, only a stone throw away.

What a little gem! Wonderful, friendly, and very welcoming. Great cafe situated on the Denham airfield, superb views of the comings & goings on the airfield and wide range of food, from the simple sarnie to a variety of breakfast choices and lunches. Would recommend!

A real gem on the airfield. We enjoyed watching helicopters practice and and Cessnas circle while drinking a very good cup of coffee, and having generously portioned (and fairly priced) fryups, featuring the best pork and leek sausage I've had in some time. The veg fryup is a solid option too, if that's the way you do it, with a Quorn sausage and hash browns substituting the meat. Interior is warm and cozy in winter. Picnic tables outside look like they'd be lovely on a summer afternoon. We definitely will be back.

The Crew Room is situated on the Denham airfield, popular with cycling and walking groups. The menu is extensive from simple sarnies to burgers, I tried the peanut butter cheese burger, the burger was home made and succulent, the peanut butter being a brilliant addition. So filling there was no room for cake. :( the coffee is fresh and hot. I will be driving there again.

First time visiting The Crew Room and definitely won’t be the last. Great location, my daughter loved it (“look Daddy an aeroplane”). Food was superb and the chef (Ed?) was so friendly and personable. Had read bad reviews but these were unfounded.

We visited in 2016, 2017 2018 and now 2019.. we stay at Wyatts Covert Caravan Club Site about 600 yards or so away and this great little, cosy, welcoming cafe / mini restaurant. Ed the owner is a star player.. great food and drink to start, but, he always has a story or two to tell as we watch the aircraft popping in and out on the runway besides the cafe..

Just got back from Crew Room and got to say a lovely little place to eat and friendly staff. Had the bacon sandwiches and coffees which were really tasty and reasonably priced. Great place to sit and watch the aircrafts take off and land while enjoying a drink and food.

The staff are extremely welcoming, the food is fantastic quality. Atmosphere is relaxing and friendly. Toilets are clean due to requiring a key to unlock to keep it for customers only. Sign on the door says no buggys , due to the place is not huge inside. Its more of an adult environment. Kids are welcome but supervision from parents is required at all times due to hot drinks and food being served during hours of being open. So if you bring kids please make sure they are not running around and not climbing on the hanger next to the cafe for their own safety. Love this place and come almost every other weekend. Keep up the amazing work ed and sue

Fantastic breakfast. Full English, perfectly cooked and presented. Friendliest of welcomes and great venue overlooking the aircraft which, on a lovely sunny day, is so enjoyable. Thoroughly recommend The Crew Room, Denham Aerodrome. Keep up the good work... Thank you.

The previous post prompted me to write ... yesterday morning I was trying to enjoy a quiet coffee in the corner (no cake this time!). The cafe proprietor asked two children not to run in front of the cafe - but he showed them the adjacent area and said they could run up and down there. When one of the kids started to climb on the side of the very old hangar a woman asked them to stop so they didn't damage the hangar or hurt themselves.

One of our favourite breakfast spots. We are frequent visitors for Saturday morning breakfast, and are never disappointed. Friendly, efficient staff, and delicious, reasonably priced food. Would definitely recommend

My husband I visited Humphrey’s for our anniversary. The menu for vegetarian was so disappointing. The items on the menu were a mismatch , there was no specific cuisine type. I ordered the pea and mint soup as a starter. I had to ask for Salt and pepper as there was no seasoning . I couldn’t taste the mint and the soup was gritty. It was not smooth. Perhaps it was not meant to be, but seasoning should of been there. When the waitress asked how it was, I was honest and said it was not great . Her response “ ok” ! My main was chosen from their main menu, rather than the vegetarian menu ( as it was not enticing) I chose the mushroom risotto. The waiter told me that they can make the risotto vegetarian friendly (without Parmesan) . The dish arrived and Again no seasoning. I thought it was me being pickey, so I asked my husband to try abs he agreed , it was flavourless. I asked the waiter if they can add seasoning. He told me that due to no Parmesan the taste will be pretty much the same. You think being a fine dining restaurant they would have vegetarian alternatives to parmigiana cheese ( even I have in my fridge ). I then asked not to bother to remake with seasoning and thought maybe something from the vegetarian/ vegan menu will be better. I chose the spaghetti in tomato sauce. I was better of not ordering it and eating the bread. It was something a child would eat. If an Italian came To eat this , they would be appalled. I ate 1/4, out of politeness. I didn’t say anything, as at this point I just wanted to hurry up and leave. Final course chocolate fondant ... finally something that was great. I wish I had just gone straight to the dessert . When the bill came, I couldn’t believe that my tasteless meal cost £68. How can spaghetti in some tomato sauce cost £22. I have had some amazing simple pasta in fine dining Michelin star restaurant and willing to pay high price. But this, as I said is something a child would get at school. Also my husbands food was great , crab, prawns to start and halibut for main. That I understand to £68, but for vegetarian it was ridiculous. Even in Michelin star restaurant, the set menus or tasting veg menu is a little cheaper , so this place is just taking advantage. Vegetarian/ vegan food has come a long way and many chefs have learnt the art to take a vegetable and turn it into a incredible meal. This place has clearly not adopted this and think serving some spaghetti in tomato sauce with no seasoning is fine dining! Even other items on the veg menu didn’t look great. If you are vegetarian/vegan, do not eat here. Plus side, deserts were great and main menu was good ( according to my husband)
