A really nice and clean chip shop. Food is always cooked fresh and tastes delicious. Staff are very friendly, portions are generous and always get my order spot on.

First and last time going here food is terrible chips mostly of them black and bad and the cod was not good must of it hard though the meal in the bin

Best chip shop by far!!! As someone who used to work in a chip shop I'm quite fussy now but this one is the only one I go too. Staff are very friendly and chatty which I like and they always will talk to my children and give them lollies. (My kids favourite bit lol). Food is always amazing. The burgers are just to die for. Always freshly made and hot (not like other takeaways I have had). Kebabs are very good too. And very good portion size for money. Tbh everything we have had from there is very good. Very good value and very good food and very good service. Will highly recommend to everyone. Definitely worth a try!!!! Keep the good work up big bens!!!

Can only share what I experienced, we ordered a meal for the family. The chicken fillet burger my wife and I got was just a processed piece of small battered chicken. Not a fillet. The lettuce was brown and sparse and the mayo was either off or the light version. The chips were also stale. Couldn't eat it sadly. For that price I expected better.

Big bens is in my opinion the best chip shop in slough. Chips are always fresh, staff are very welcoming and they have never once disappointed me.

I recently visited Big Ben Fish and Chips in Burnham, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The quality of the fish was quite poor—it was extremely oily and left a sickly, unpleasant taste in my mouth after eating it. This really put a damper on what I had hoped would be an enjoyable meal. The chips were fine, but honestly, there was nothing special about them. They were just average and not worth writing home about. Another major inconvenience was the fact that they don't accept card payments. In this day and age, it's rather silly and inconvenient to be cash-only. They will inconvenience you by asking you to go to the cash point around the corner or even suggest bank transferring them. This added hassle certainly didn't improve the overall experience. If you're looking for a better fish and chips experience, I highly recommend heading over to Burnham Fish and Chips, which is just a couple of minutes' drive away. The difference in quality is noticeable, and you'll definitely appreciate the superior taste.

Have been using Big Ben’s since they opened and I have always had a fantastic cod and chips. Portions are always very generous and the fish is always top quality. Have never had anything else there but I am sure everything offered on the menu is good. It is always very busy which shows what a good fish and chip shop it is. They also have parking behind the shop which helps and although only about 4 spaces I have never not been able to park. The staff are also always very friendly and polite and remember me whenever I go.

Been a regular visitor for many years and cannot fault the quality of the food. Always cooked fresh, only place locally that sells rock and is a favourite choice. Recently placed a very large order for a social event, every order was boxed and numbered as requested which led to a very smooth distribution. Everyone enjoyed their meals with many compliments. Thanks again and keep up the good work

I went to pay with my phone and the woman behind the counter said that they don't take debit cards or phone payments. She suggested I go to the cash machine around the corner at the newsagent's. But I don't carry cards on me, because I pay with my phone. She then gave me a bit of paper with the shop's bank account details on it and said I could pay via bank transfer! For fish and chips, lol. Anyway, I opened my banking app but the account details she gave me wouldn't "take", and I could not do the transfer. So I left the shop empty-handed. No fish and chips for you! It looks like this shop is just being mean and doesn't want to pay the 20p or so that a debit card transaction costs them. Or maybe they are cash-only to keep HMRC off the trail. False economy, as they lost a sale to me, and probably to a lot of others who aren't going to bother going to a cash machine just to get money to pay them, especially when there are so many other takeaway food options nearby.

Terrible, ordered small chips and they gave about 10 chips deceptively wraped to look like there were more in the paper.

I absotlutely love this place. First of all, the food is top class as the chips are very crispy. If you want a Perfect box of fish and chips, come to this place. The service there is unbeliveable.The workers are always nice, they always listen to your requests and always put a smile on your face. I come here very week, and they are always consistent with there food. A handy location and great food. I'm 100% sure there is no other better chippie in the UK than this. You think what can go wrong by deep frying processed food from frozen - actually a lot! The Seafood basket was something so disgusting I've never been served before. Half of the bits were completely overcooked, hard and dry - while the other half was completely undercooked and watery, cold and fishy inside. I tried the bits and felt sick for the rest of the day. When I was asked by the fish shop person how the food was - I did just shake my head. I drove 20 mins to get to this place because of the good reviews. Most of them must be fake - avoid.

I’ve been meaning to leave a review for months, I would highly recommend Bens fish and chips. They offer the best fish and chips around Berks/Bucks, there is no other place like them. The chips are never greasy they taste amazing every time. They offer a huge menu for all your taste buds. They offer outstanding Customer service and they make sure you leave with a smile. With just one visit here you will never go elsewhere.

Fantastc! Beautiful fish with crispy batter minus all the normal grease, Lovely chips without loads of black bits and a lemon wedge too! Served in a paper box - which they even tape closed - so minimal sweating on the journey home. Absolutely lovely staff. Cannot recommend this place highly enough! Their Donna meat and chips gets a massive thumbs up from my son too!

This is my go-to place when I want a takeaway. The staff are all incredibly friendly (especially the lady), and it's reached the point where they now recognise both me and my 6 year old daughter when we come in together. The last time I went on my own. They recognised me and even gave me a lollipop to give to my daughter when I got home. The food is always cooked well and very tasty. Only once have they made a mistake with an order, but to be honest, given the great service and great food 99.9% of the time, I'm happy to let that slide as sometimes mistakes happen. These guys are great and I'm very glad we have them in Burnham.

Chips were utterly disgusting. Under cooked and nasty. The Fish was freshly made to be fair but not great. I asked for a "Large Fish and LARGE Chips". He put the fish in first then chips on top so you don't get your "Large" portion. Chap serving me had gross dirty nails which touched my food so I had to throw quite a few of them away anyway. Not such a big deal considering they tasted gross and I threw most of what was left away anyway. I don't understand the good reviews, I would not eat from here again and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone. If there is one positive It would be that the bottled water that I purchased was not warm. In response to the owner's comment below, Yes I have had plenty of great takeaways, but to be fair unless it is exceptional I typically don't feel compelled to review it. I feel compelled however to review takeaways which I consider so bad that people should be warned. You say that you take my feedback seriously, yet your response does nothing to address any of the points I make, rather you turn it back on me implying that I am unreasonable and never satisfied. That's fine. This review should have been an opportunity for you to change and do better for your business but now it will stand as a warning to others with your own dismissal of my valid concerns only going to underscore my points and your lack of care for your own business. I find the service is always really friendly, helpful and spot on, the fish and chips are always hot, fresh, crispy and light. Great portions and prices, shop is well equipped and really clean. Customer parking around the corner. It’s perfect!

Ordered a shish kebab for a change. Lamb was seriously overcooked, hard and dry and should not have been served.

Very rarely have fish and chips because I usually regret it afterwards! But not this time. I went for the ‘Large’ Rock & Chips, not realising how large it was! OMG, it could have fed 2 adults and a child. It was fantastic, freshly cooked beautiful light moist fish and perfect chips, right up there with the best I’ve ever eaten. Thank you.

I have had many great meals from here in the last couple of years after moving to Burnham and have tried all fish and chip shops within the local area to try to find the best and consistently best shop to enjoy. Paid for Fish cake & chips & only received chips. I also ordered a side of curry sauce that looked inedible. Put a photo for people to see !?! Looks like lumpy baby food. Also only takes cash (in this climate). Would give no stars if I could. Another horrible chip shop.

Notices about the rules are well placed and clear. Masks to be worn. Max 4 people allowed in at a time. 2 metres spacing. People observed the rules queuing at the required distance, waiting their turn, and only entering when called forward as numbers allow. Ordering in advance helps. Just pay on arrival, then a short wait for your food. The food is excellent. Prices are reasonable. The staff team are really efficient and friendly. Your food is served with a smile. What more can you want. Well done Big Ben's.

All I can say...FINALLY is Big Ben is the best🔥🔥they deliver, excellent customer service, accuracy of order amazing, never make mistakes 👍🏾👍🏾but for me, the best thing of all is the continued service they have provided throughout this Covid experience. Adhering to regulations, safe guarding both staff and customers and maintaining a high level hygiene at all times. Love Big Ben and all the staff working there. I wish them great profitability and hope they are able to sustain their business during these difficult times as they deserve 🥳

I have been coming here since the start of lockdown in March for our takeways for 'Fish and Chips Friday' with my parents. We all look forward to our treat of the week as the food is always delicious and well cooked. The portions are amazing too!
