Miller & Carter Steakhouse in South Bucks

Excellent steaks as usual. We have used the Taplow Miller & Carter restaurant for several years and have never had a bad meal or service. This is the only place to go for a steak, chicken or fish meal. The service is always excellent and efficient. We would highly recommend this restaurant. We will be back soon

We are regulars at the Taplow restaurant. It was my birthday meal . We are looked after , no problems however when my partner received his meal the vegetables were RAW AND COMPLETELY UNCOOKED . My partner is 87 and he needs his veg to be cooked properly. We complained and sent it back , they came back the same . You are quick enough to ask how we want our steaks cooked, ask next time if we want the veg to be cooked or maybe raw. Absolutely terrible 😞

An absolutely amazing experience. Service was super quick and met with smiles from our server. Shannon served us and was a star! She was so attentive and made our dinner so enjoyable. Really great service and great food! Will be visiting again soon as our new favourite Miller and Carter location.

Having heard such great things about miller and carter I was eager to try for my self, my starter was avocado and prawn with lettuce overall taste was nice but only had 4 little pieces of avocado in it, my medium rump steak had quite a bit of grissle in it and my husband's rump steak was very flat, he told me that it was the worst steak he's ate at a restaurant, pudding was divine, unfortunately our overall experience wasn't the best unfortunately

Service, food and drinks all superb. Only thing i would say is the space to wait for your table wasnt big enough

we arrived an hour early,they weren't busy and found a table,welcomed us and said happy anniversary which was nice,staff were great food was lovely had the date night special such great value excellent choice

The food was off the scale delicious made all the better by our wonderful waitress Marlena. She is such a credit to you! Really attentive and so focussed on our needs, despite being really busy. We loved it all!

Very warm welcome, we had the set lunch menu, excellent, took friends who hadn't been before. My friend is blind so pet waitresses explained everything on the menu. Great service from a lady called Gill who went over & above with the service we had. Great food. Can't fault anything regarding service. The only thing I will say is that the Taplow miller & Carter is very tried inside. Outside the garden area is a disgrace, such a shame because everything else was great.

Visited with family after having a lovely meal here about 2 weeks prior. Starters were ok but when the mains come out they were cold. All 5 steaks were cold and so were the chips. We told the server who only apologised but did nothing about it. We called her back and she said she would speak to her manager. She came back after about 10 minutes and said that they had enough servers and kitchen staff so there is no reason it should be cold. This made us feel like we were being told we were lying. When I asked to talk to the manager she took a while to come, by this point the food is freezing and we explained again that we’ve paid £35 each for a steak and it’s cold. They offered to redo the chips but by this point we just wanted to leave because the entire atmosphere had been ruined. The manager did take 50% off the bill but it had totally ruined the evening. We didn’t celebrate with the birthday cake we had brought in the end and took it home because we just wanted to leave. We will give this place a miss for a while.

Service was good. Food was delicious - especially the sticky chipotle chicken starter, filet mignon and puddings! Everything was great value for money!

The waitresses are top notch and know the drink and food menus very well.

There seems to be a very determined push by the management of this branch to extract the maximum profit out of every customer. Went on Sunday, to be told ‘there was no Sunday menu’ when told their web site and app both said there was, the server went off to talk to her manager and magically the menus appeared. We had a voucher stating that it offered a glass of bubbles for you and a companion. But the server insisted that her iPad said it was only a single glass, despite being shown the message which stated it wasn’t she was still saying “computer says no”. After we started the starters another glass magically appeared. The ‘salad’ that accompanied the steak consisted of one cress leaf and a carter of a tomato. The rest of the meal and service was fairly good, but by that time, we were totally regretting coming. Something seems seriously wrong with management , profiteering, staff communication and updates to computer systems at this branch. The voucher was supposedly an enticement to visit again, unfortunately the experience wasn’t one I’d want to repeat.

Very disappointed... Looking at the reviews I was expecting a lot better. Food temperature was bad. My ribs were not properly microwaved as it was cold inside... Chips were good but not hot... We were told they run out of coleslaw but not been offered with anything else instead...

Arrived without reservation, and although extremely busy the team accommodated and delivered excellent food with speedy friendly service, especially Jolie who waited our table

I came for my daughter in laws birthday. Our meal was perfect and the staff were polite and professional. We ladies had cocktails which we loved. No need to improve our visit was 10/10 and we will be coming back and recommending Miller & Carter to our friends and family.

Visited with family for a birthday meal. Gill our server has served us a lot over the last few years and is always so kind, attentive and very knowledgeable. She is a fantastic server. The food was nice and warm. Overall a nice meal.

These restaurants always provide great food and good service, they are very consistent no matter where they are situated. They are expensive but you do get what you are paying for, always good to treat yourself now and again.

My friends, my husband and myself went to Miller & Carter Taplow yesterday, 26th February, for my friends birthday. We have been before on numerous other occasions and have loved it. Last night was terrible, not enough staff, waiting time, very long, food cold, and the beef dripping sauce, that is an absolute treat for us, was not beef dripping, but cold beef gravy. Staff member said they did not have enough staff at Taplow so shipped these people in from Beaconsfield, but non seemed to have any idea what they were doing, did not ask about dietary requirements, did not have the drinks we asked for. It was terrible and our last ever visit to Miller & Carter, never again, did ask for money off after complaining, did do this just to get rid of us

Great atmosphere, lay out good disabled access good plus toilet, tables a little too close, so asked to move, & it eas very busy. Loved the food we ate from the festive menu which was very good but dessert was cheese cake vanilla topped with cinnamon which u hate, this wasn't on the menu. Apart from that I would go again

Food, and service are both excellent, unfortunately we were seated next to a family or 4, who's 2 year old had an extremely loud ipad playing old "McDonald had a farm" for 2 hours straight. Not something I wish to hear at 9.30 on a Friday night out.

I don't normally write a bad review. But tonight was the worst experience I've had in years. 1.5 hr wait for a starter. And it was only nachos. No sauce . No cheese. Whats the problem ?!?!.

Blooming lovely! Surf and turf combo with a bottle of Argentinian wine thrown in for good measure. Literally had to be rolled to the car. Great atmosphere, lovely...lovely staff and would highly recommend

Probably not the best place to go with young kids or larger groups. Most of the group were happy with their meals, my lamb had to go back twice as it wasn't cooked as requested

I always enjoy a meal out at Miller and Carter. Unfortunately this time my wife and I shared the Ribs and sirloin. Ribs were 100% . Would not recommend the sirloin. For £30 it should of been a lot tastier and not so tough. There were 7 of us as it was my sons birthday. Ours was the only disappointment.

Great menu, great hospitality, great taste, all and all at a reasonable price.

We booked our Wedding anniversary lunch, upon arrival as we were with a toddler. More than guiding us to the reserved table, the lady at the reception was talking and educating us about about how we go about making a booking - telling us that we should book a table for 3 and not 2 since we requested for a high chair. Not like the restaurant was busy and there wasn’t space to sit us. The restaurant barely had customers seated around and there was plenty of space. Service too on the table wasn’t efficient, we had to wait for approx 10 minutes to be assisted and served . Nevertheless, the food was good I must admit.

It appears there are fake reviews from management about last night. They are an embarrassment to the company, shouting at customers is not a good look when they complain about cold food which is under cooked. Thank you for your response. I wasn't involved last night in the incident I've spoken about but you obviously assumed I was. Wrong on your account and your answer is totally condescending.

Came in last night for the first time for dinner our waitress was fantastic and all the other staff were great too. My fiancé has an allergy and we were immediately put at easy by the staff and how they handled it. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing! Would definitely recommend this place and we will be back!

Just left in taplow, manager screaming at us calling my family liars, steaks inedible and clearly shoved in microwave after we were given them cold. Never been spoken to so rudely by anyone, will be taking this further. Also seriously concerned about allergy guidelines being ignored and when we went to speak to the manager she blatantly ignored us.
