We popped in for lunch. Very traditional cosy old village pub. Comfortable seating and a large log fire. Good choice of beers. Food was very good and portions were large. Friendly landlord and good service. It was a nice place to catch up with old friends and have a good meal and a few drinks.

I'm not a member but I booked in with Royal Lymington Yacht Club to do RYA Level 3 Dinghy sailing course after doing levels 1 & 2 on the river Thames. The club is very nice with great views and Richard, the instructor leading the course was great and gave the choice of additional things to learn.. I had a great time out on the water and sailing on the solent felt like a real achievment. Proud to be able to say I trained at Royal Lymington Yacht Club and am looking forward to doing RYA First Aid Course in December .

We stumbled across this pub after a bracing walk on the nearby Wiston Estate. Our greeting was friendly, helpful and welcoming, we both selected the salt beef hash from the menu and it was utterly delicious. If the rest of the menu is as good as this dish, you will be assured of a great meal. The decor is a rather dated but don’t be put off - the fabulous service and food more than makes up for it.

We were staying in Felpham on a short break. Had dinner and drinks here Saturday evening. Very friendly staff made us so welcome. Good selection of lagers and ales. Our food was excellent - probably better than we were expecting. Whitebait starters done perfectly retaining flavour and texture of the fish but with crispy batter. Came with dressed salad. Two of us had beer battered fish and chips which was delicious. Proper chips - with lovely 'potatoey' centre . The other dish was chili con carne, again very good. Reasonably priced wine. Service charge not included on bill which in my opinion should be the only acceptable procedure. We left tip anyway but hate it when its added automatically. It is a shame the pub was not busier for a Saturday evening. I urge locals to visit and support this local establishment. They appear to be trying so hard and it deserves to be a success. USE IT OR LOSE IT - applies to so many pubs across the country. We are planning to visit again before we head back home.

Grumpy bar staff won’t go again. Bit blunt seemed as if we shouldn’t have been in there seemed a bit rude and while ordering he abruptly stopped and went to serve someone else. Food was nice though so can’t fault that. Really enjoyed the burger.

Lovely Sunday lunch. Staff are very friendly, polite, and professional. Lovely atmosphere, food was delicious. I had small plate veggie roast 😋 and my partner had steak pie and mash. Both dishes were delicious. Had a bottle of Chardonnay which accompanied the food well. Toilets nice and clean. Highly recommend.

Appears to be a nice pub, with friendly staff and the food was good on the Friday lunchtime we visited. A chip-free pub on all accounts, which makes a nice change. Sadly during the lunchtime we visited there was no hand soap, and the hand dryer was broken, in the gents toilets. The carvery is popular so be prepared to wait a good 10 or so minutes during busy lunch times. Sadly not the easiest place to park if driving, as spaces are limited, especially during busy periods.

Came here with some friends for a Sunday roast. All of the staff were lovelt but James went out of his way to ensure everything that I had ordered was suitable for me to eat, due to an allergy I have. Service was quick and nothing was to much trouble.
