The best restaurants serving British food in North West

Do not order from here!! Stay far away!! Disgusting customer service when called to find out where the order was as just eat claimed it to be delivered they told us to call the driver as it's a driver problem and was huffy and rude when asked for the number, we then called and the number was not recognized so when we called back for the second time they were extremely rude telling us it's our problem and Uber talked over us when we tried to explain the issue and then hung up on us! Absolutely dreadful customer service and handling off issues so rude disrespectful and quick to point blame anywhere but themselves or help with the issue so we have no delivery, I'd urge you to go anywhere but here

Awful! We booked a feature suite as it was a special occasion, and it was awful. Dirty room, cracked sink, woodwork was all chipped and dirty. Hotel bar wasn’t open for guests, we couldn’t even get any ice for the room.. the breakfast was awful. The continental part of the breakfast was literally plain yogurt which was warm, a few different muesli choices, no fruit. Stale bread for toast. Warm milk as nothing was being kept cool. The cooked breakfast was a single slice of over cooked cheap bacon, half a mushroom, hard eggs. And a slice of greasy so called potato scone.. One good point was that the bed was very comfortable and the hotel was in the heart of the city which was great, although no parking so need to park in the shopping centre which was fine.

The Gold Star Whiston Village has been closed for months, since well before Christmas 2024 - theres no obvious indication of reasons why or plans to open up again

We visited the cafe - I would not recommend this experience to anyone. The one star is for the poor staff that have to put up with this dreadful service. You go to the food counter where you can see all the hot food behind the glass. You are then asked what you would like - just chips and beans for me! 20 minute wait!!!!! Really??? I was given a number and then there is a 2nd cue if you want a hot drink. The wait was about 25mins … this is for food that was behind the glass in hot plates - crazy system

Breakfast buffet was good, food was hot and constantly being replenished, plenty of choice and tables were regularly being cleared and cleaned.

Avoids at all cost this hotel is not clean so the kitchen must be as bad , go elsewhere and have decent food .

Everything disgraceful .Sent Lunch back for myself and my wife. It was cold.Could not get coffee ,machines not working.By the time machines working.Lunch cold again.Never coming again.

Brilliant butty shop, friendly staff, great quality food, good prices, highly recomend a visit.

Absolute joke I got threatened in there so called the police I informed the landlady on the night and dhe does nothing.. go on there a week later to be told I can't get served

Staff were miserable think you had to pay extra for a smile. Pies were dry and chips weren’t the best !!! Visiting family in the area won’t be bothering again .

Really bland milkshakes. Ordered one salted caramel and one Maltesers milkshake for myself and my partner and both tasted like nothing but vanilla ice cream. Really disappointing especially for the price

Also a member of BLESMA We had our Christmas lunch in the Bowling Green and it was excellent We have also had a couple of breakfast since the last one being 140525 Again, the food and service was excellent One of the staff even brought me a glass of ice water outside in the sunshine thank you again to the staff and we will see you all soon, Dr Baz xxx
