We came for Hunt Lane Rocks What a fantastic line up, all the staff security and ambulance service 👏 weather not too good for August but hospitality & food was fantastic deserves the 5☆☆☆☆☆

Fantastic friendly pub with amazing food , welcoming staff and great entertainment. Highly recommended 👌 Tried the pit master sharing board !! More than enough for two with a great range of good quality meat full rack of pork rib which was falling off the bone ( so tender ) chicken wings, the beef short rib was my favourite so tender with slight smokiness i am still dreaming of it now delicious, pulled brisket in a whiskey sauce this was also delicious , cowboy beans with pulled pork , mac snd cheese , onion rings , salad , fries , corn on the cob , coleslaw I have eaten in a lot of American themed restaurants and this is by far the best . Thank you The Hunt lane tavern I will be back very soon

Went in about 5pm. Big sign outside advertising Sunday Lunches. Checked at bar if still serving food. Told yes. Ordered drinks went to table to look at menu. Went to bar to order food told no food unless pre-booked. Wouldn't have ordered drinks if told this in the first place. Pub half empty. Probably deserves to remain half empty. Dingy, no atmosphere and definitely no food! In reply to response below. We were given no explanation for why only serving pre-booked. Neither were we told if could wait until 6pm food service would be resumed. Not sure why you expected me to bring this to your attention at the time. Firstly I have no clue who you are and secondly my main gripe was we should have been told food service had been suspended. When we asked if food was being served and were told yes! If had been told no we would have left. If we had been told not until 6pm we might have chosen to wait. Its poor customer service no matter how you try to justify it.

Nice pub, staff were friendly although service was a bit slow. Prices a bit higher than the local everage, more like you would expect to pay in the centre of town.

Really lovely meal here, food was so nice we’ll definitely be returning. Only downside was a bit of a wait, but the food being so nice made up for it. Service was great, the staff were friendly and helpful, just downmarked a little due to the wait time.

We were so looking forward to a Sunday roast lunch as we do not live close by now. It was empty and we were told no Sunday roast lunch was being served due to staff on holiday. No notification was put on Facebook page and it was still advertised outside the front door. Bar staff didn’t seem to bother.

Booked a table a week ago by phone for today, for my birthday, it had been recommended to us x Recieved a few phone calls in the week to ask for pre order as there was 10, didn't mind this at all x Table booked for 4pm and was told food would be a while as pub was busy, upon arrival the pub wasn't busy for people eating, we didn't get our food until after 5pm and then they didn't come out together, some had nearly finished by the time the last food was brought out not good at all then we had to send 2 back as they wasn't hot or even warm The food was lovely and don't blame anyone but service was shocking to be honest, an apology would have been nice

Breakfast this morning. Plates cold. Eggs like rubber. Complained to two members of staff. Obviously used to it. Didn't give a stuff.

Staff was very rude.Manager included all staff was vaping.And general public too vice food was about in their venue Also manager reserving a table for himself And asking customers. To move also bar staff was Dressed on appropriately

Landlords are clueless. Bar staff useless. Tables full of empty glasses and when you go to the bar they say sorry is this glass ok because we’ve ran out of glasses. Some customers were going round collecting them. It’s thick with smoke as they allow vaping. Drugs being dealt openly. Drug bags on the floor and in the toilets. Bar staff telling customers to F off and get out. Landlords never intervened. Place is a dump In response to your reply, i think you have me mistaken with someone else. I was not asked to leave and nor had i been in all day. I was not part of any group. I came in around 7:30 to meet some friends to watch the Take That tribute act ( there were 3 of us) I saw the incident that you mention when i was trying to get served at the bar, nothing to do with me at all, i wasn't sat anywhere near them. I just heard a commotion whilst getting a drink. The drug dealing was blatant at the door near to the patio area and no one was dealt with or removed.

Absolutely disgusting service, waited 50 mins for breakfast with no indication of any delays, suppose to open at 10am didn't serve food until 11am, extremely rude staff who started swearing as they did not like us complaining, then called us rude, there is a difference between complaining about the service and being rude. Also suppose to be all you can eat breakfast buffet which it wasn't. Feel sorry for the people in front of us who waited longer than us. Dirty disgusting mouth of the staff that serviced us.

Food great, but there should be no vaping inside and there was no soap in the ladies toilets. Will go again

Excellent in all aspects Ellie behind bar lovely. Food best Nachos I've ever had and could have done one servi.g between 2 . Good car park. And outside tables if the weather was better. Could not fault .

We used the function Room upstairs on Thurs for a Funeral wake which was more than we expected. We chose to have the hot buffet menu that they provided and was perfect for the occasion with plenty on offer and included tea and coffee and access to the small bar. Pricing was reasonable for the room hire/food and drinks. Afterwards we spent the afternoon/early evening in the main bar area, with our older kids/young adults enjoyed the pool table. Staff were very friendly and accommodating for our group. Will definitely recommend

Beer was good but expensive, service was quick, pub was quiet with horse racing on tv, toilets were good everything working no complaints.

Food very good and a good atmosphere will visit again soon kid friendly and dog friendly overall a good afternoon

Not been here since new managenent took over but theyre doing a good job.Mexican menu is varied and fairly priced and food was hot and well presented. Lady serving was pleasant and very attentive. Went early Sunday afternoon and was quiet but believe it gets much busier later in the day.Also dog friendly so could bring pooch out for lunch . Only criticism would be needs more atmosphere as no music just tv showing a Western. Need to try the popular theme nights now!

This is one amazing place who not only serve great food have a welcoming feel to it but also support our Military Veterans once a month by hosting there breakfast club the third Saturday of every month…. Total respect … highly recommended

Lovely food even if the menu is a little skewed towards Mexican. Very well presented and everyone enjoyed theirs. Staff were pleasant and personable. A shame the place wasn't a little busier as it deserves to be.

Today I booked a table for 4 for after our register office wedding the staff went above and beyond setting the table with just married balloons and banners and made the experience feel really special if though we didn't expect this. Thank you so much the breakfast was amazing and we had a fantastic start to our day . I would highly recommend the food and staff are fantastic and the pub is really nice too.

Obviously as this is a steakhouse there isn't much veggy choice. I was lioking forward to veggy burrito but sadly it was unavailable. However, the veggy burger was surprisingly good, the food arrived quickly and the place felt welcoming. I would defo go again

Not been in for years and went in twice last week both quiz night was busy and the Friday night was packed for the abba tribute and didn't have to wait long for a drink due to the excellent efficency of the bar staff not sure who is running it but doing an excellent job keep it up

After reading good reviews about the food and being an ex regular of the Hunt Lane Tavern and happy to see it reopen I thought would try it out. We ordered ribs and wings sharing plate with a mac and cheese side. It was served more or less cold the corn didn't even melt the butter. Very disappointing bland dish. It was taken back and a fresh rack of ribs was served and a free drink with apologies from the chef.. Jalapeño coleslaw very tame Mac and cheese Rock hard. Overall very disappointing with no atmosphere apart from bbc news on the tv

Waited over 1 hour for our food and it came 5-10 minutes apart 4 had finished before the other 4 had got their's not very good would not go again very disappointing.

It was a Saturday tea! No pizza! Ordered hotdogs and saying “no hot dog buns” agreed to a barn cake - came no hot dog in sight it was just a cold cheap sausage

I recently had a Friday night in the Hunt Lane Tavern with my lovely wife, they had an artist on and a new manger I hadn’t seen before. The atmosphere was good and I enjoyed it. Years ago the pub was thriving but due to poor managers it had lost its way a bit. My wife returned to the pub and had a terrible meal on the Saturday and poor customer service when the staff saw my wife of her friend hadn’t eaten their meals. My next door neighbours then told me they were going to try out the Hunt Lane for food as they had read a good review and there was a new menu. I told them of my and my wife’s experience and that they should try it. That evening my neighbour sent me a WhatsApp message saying the food was awful. For some reason the Hunt Lane hasn’t been able to sort the food out. So I’d recommend the Hunt Lane Tavern for a Friday or Saturday Evening drink if they’ve got an act on, just eat before you go.

First time here this morning! Really enjoyed it I had pancakes, husband had an all you can eat breakfast (couldn’t get a picture as he was too quick to dig in😂) I stole a hash brown off him and it was honestly one of the nicest ones I’ve had will definitely be back🙂 also nice and happy staff which was nice to see, don’t know the lady’s name at the bar today but she was lovely!

Being a local for many years, the landlord and lady have have really improved the place and making it dog friendly! Had a wonderful sunny afternoon sat out side. food, drink, tunes and service was excellent. Well worth a visit

Friendly staff. But unfortunately 4 people order homemade cheese & onion pie to be told after ordering there was only 2 pieces left even though the pub had only just opened. 5 of us had steak & ale pudding 1 come out fine 2 come out cold & one come out frozen before the 5th come out. Dessert we ordered 5 chocolate fudge cake which was described as warm fudge cake with icecream. One it was not warm & two it wasn't chocolate fudge cake it was a asda sponge cake with melted chocolate on top which is £3 for the whole cake we got charge £3.95 per slice. If I had know before hand I wouldn't or order I would of gone asda & bought one & then been disappointed with asda because it wasn't that nice.

Old style type looking pub that's been brought up to to date . Downstairs, it's a pity they haven't upstairs in their function room , the room looked dated and in need of a serious renovation, especially the electrical supply as my friend got a very nasty shock after touching a light switch. 🙄🙄

Local public house very friendly good age spread of patrons

In the toilets the water didnt work and there was no previsions to clean or dry your hands. So this made the night a little bit uncomfotable to be perfectly honnest. The company we had arround us made us forget about the £4.80 a pint which was abit steap to be fair.

Lovely welcome from a beautiful blonde barmaid. Food menu was limited, even with the specials. Food took a long time to arrive for 2 of us even though only us was eating and there was only 4 people in the pub. Food was ok, if a little dry, I usually expect gravy with meat and potato pie. Pub layout was much nicer than last time I visited and clean although as both food and drink options were limited wouldn't rush back.

Booked the function room upstairs for my son's christening. The room is lovely (we had 60 guests) and you have your own toilets seperate to the rest of the pub. I have only good things to say as they made so much effort to customize it to what we wanted. Janine who we dealt with was nothing but helpful and friendly and staff, in particular a young lady behind the bar were very accomodating and polite. The food was fab too. The guests only had good things to say and commented on what a great day/venue it had been.

Lovely pub. Friendly staff. Had baby shower for daughter here. Lovely food provided . Recommend you visit this pub. Can't be disappointed.
