Popped in here for a quick breakfast. Staff friendly and serve you well. £5 for a full English, toast and a cup of tea/coffee. Can’t complain. Produce isn’t the best quality with supermarket own brands used for the sausages. Bacon is undercooked with fat not crispy. The three people eating in there left most of their bacon including me. Decent for a quick cheap bite but wouldn’t make it a weekly thing.

I absolutely love this place, I dine in at least 3 times a week and the owner Melanie and her staff are very helpful, friendly and go out of their way to make sure my experience is perfect everytime. The club sandwiches are perfect and the coffee is excellent. Highly recommended 5*

Ha sido un año o así, ya que la última vez que fuimos, así que pensé que iba a ver si había mejorado. En una palabra "No". Pedí un bacon, salchichas y huevos - aún muffin sentí que era un esfuerzo para que tomen la orden; no sonríen, solo tomó el pedido y el dinero y luego fuimos fuera un fag. No era una larga espera y una señora trajo desde el nuevo miserable; gritó la orden (había sólo me allí) paquete que abajo en el mostrador y volver de ella. La comida en sí era bastante mal - Tocino casi correoso bien probado pero la salchichas huevos probado increíblemente barato - sin duda, el peor de los 3. La salsa era como agua de color marrón. Me hizo sentir un poco mal por el tiempo que me dieron y de camino a través de el resto. tiró A veces una comida tipo cuchara grasienta justo el trabajo y hay un placer en el hecho de que es "mala", pero hay una diferencia entre un tierno regalo algo y a mala calidad. Agradezco que algunas personas no están demasiado preocupados por la calidad de su comida, especialmente con un desayuno fritos, pero esto no es especialmente barato, así que aún no estoy seguro de lo que tiene de positivo. Prueba las salchichas en leyes y compare la diferencia.

I know that this is a sandwich bar, and that I shouldn't really expect top notch customer service skills, but common courtesy, and maybe a smile wouldn't go amiss, rather than being treated like a bad smell that has blown in from the street. The lady that served me, ( and I use the term loosely), is definitely in the wrong profession.

Love the food and I keep going back but I have no idea what is going on with the staff if they are not fighting amongst themselves they are talking to customers like they have stolen something with a bit of customer service training or re staffing it would be great.

Ordered a buffet to arrive at 12.00. Phoned them up at 12.20 and was told they had forgotten the order (!) and should have it to us by 1.20. A number of hungry people sat round waiting until it finally turned up at 1.45. Quality of the food was actually quite good when it arrived - though we would have eaten anything by that stage.

I order buffets for meetings at work every other month & we visit on a weekend regularly. The food is lovely & the owners are so down to earth and would bend over backwards for you! The buffets that we order go down like a storm, once the meeting is over, if there are any leftovers (IF) the lads in the office are fighting over who gets what. We usually order for 10 people but it feeds far more than that, more than we could ever ask for, they don't scrimp and scrape & use quality ingredients. The owners and staff are so friendly, they are approachable and genuine people, I love the fact they have young teenagers working on a Saturday, it just shows that they are willing to give people experience in a busy customer service facing environment which is essential in my eyes for everyone to start out in life. Overall I have not got a bad word to say about this place, we have always had a brill experience whether its ordering a butty to help the hangover or just to sit in, read the paper with a coffee.

We are a local business and we were recommended by one of our 'neighbour' offices. The buffets we have are brilliant! More than we could expect. We have now decided to order from them on a monthly basis. Staff are always friendly and can deliver food at short notice. I also visit on a Saturday morning for my breakfast.

i had a delivery to my work along woth several other sandwiches that day. they were being funny about delivering on the phone. the sandwiches were salty and i found 3 hairs in mine. will not go back here and would definitely not reccommend it.

Went for a couple of sandwiches for lunch - not very busy so I thought I would order the Club which was a bit of a mistake as it took best part of 25 minutes to be made, during which time I had to keep checking outside for traffic wardens. It was interesting whilst I was waiting though as one guy was served with a bacon and sausage sandwich, to which he replied "I ordered bacon and hash brown, I don't eat sausage". They took the sandwich into the back and told the woman who had prepared it who replied in a loud voice "he ordered sausage". The guy shouted back "I don't eat sausage, I've never ate sausage, so why would I order it?". He went outside to wait as he didn't appreciate the attitude. When he did get his replacement there was no apology. During this time, every so often, someone would come back to me and say "it shouldn't be long now, its a club sandwich" (like it was something out of the ordinary). Then the phone went and there was a bit of a "discussion". The phone went down and one woman said to another "They said they didn't order beetroot on it, but there was beetroot on it" to which the other replied "Well if they didn't want it, they should have said so, we're not mindreaders". I got the impression that a number of the staff were in their own little world, working at their own pace and not too worried about customer service. During my long wait, I didn't hear once anyone read back the order to make sure they had it right and obviously when it isn't, it is the customers fault. So when I eventually got my Club? Very well presented; very decent size - but it was of course cold. The toast had clearly been made some time earlier whilst they were waiting for the rest and doing other orders. Could very easily be excellent, but need to get rid of a couple of the old dears, replace them with some that listen, are interested in getting it right, or at least accept some responsibility when they don't.

The pub is in a lovely spot, and has had a beautiful refurbishment, unfortunately that’s where the good points end. The food is shocking. Served on chipped plates for a start with an abysmal side of wilting and browning ‘salad’ - literal leaves, and undercooked chips with zero seasoning, Not even offered any salt. Asked for sauces and was supplied literally two tables spoons of ketchup between 2 people. I regret not taking a photo to share, but how anyone could serve that and think it was acceptable was beyond me. If you want to have a lovely meal at a pub with a great atmosphere, stick to The Oxford! I definitely will be in future.

Only went in for a milkshake as it was my Grandsons last free day before he started school for the 1st have. He had a banana milkshake that came with all the trimmings. Service excellent atmosphere excellent. Thank you for having us

10.10.24. Arrived for lunch. Starter was great and presented well ( see pic ) . Service : appalling. Cutlery for the main course was dumped on the table ( both sets dumped down together while the server walked off ) . Ordered a drink and had to wait 5 mins whilst staff were stood laughing and joking behind the bar ( the pub wasn't busy ) . Main course: i ordered gammon . The pineapple looked as if it had been been deep fried and was swimming in oil, the mushroom was under the gammon and looked disgusting . No one came over and asked how was our meal; if that had happened , I would have showed them my meal. Overall : terrible and never again . I've been coming to the Whitchaff for over 45 years and this was the worst meal I had ever had .
