Been here for years!!! The food is excellent especially the fried rice dishes and salt and pepper dishes. Definitely worth going to!!!

Great food at a good price, doesn't take card so inconvenient which is a shame and stops me from visiting more often.

Won’t be going here again. This place has seriously gone downhill both on the Chinese/cantonese dishes and also the fish and chips. Used to be great. Just had finish tonight which was overcooked and chewy and not much fish between the batter so had to throw away as wasn’t worth going back the distance to get a replacement

Today was the first time i have tried this chippy, service was quick and the food was spot on at a reasonable price, will be going back for more! (And i have been back on a weekly basis ever since)

Chinese chippy also doing traditional chip shop fare used it several times phone your order its delivered quickly and the food is delicious both traditional and Chinese.

I usually love this place but not tonight, it took 30 minutes waiting for chips to cook and the order to be made up (only consisted of chips, sausages, curry sauce and gravy) the one meal with gravy came with curry sauce so it wasn't eaten, very disappointed

Best Chinese and fish and chip shop for miles..

Just had the most amazing fish and chips from here. The haddock just melted in my mouth, the chips were really good, and the portions are massive. £9.98 for two lots of fish and chips brought to my door in 20 minutes!! Outstanding on every level.

Great service and good food always

I have been coming here since I was little with my father and now as I'm older, with my partner. The service from all the staff is always spot on and so kind and welcoming. It's the only Chinese or chip shop I will go to in the whole of Rossendale. Always loved this place but today I find myself having to write a review for all to see as I've been ill recently and not well enough to leave the house to collect and it's the same day unfortunately that their delivery driver has been taken unwell. Thinking that they would just tell me they can't deliver I was ready to end the call politely and try to think of something I could eat cold from the fridge. However I was so wrong! They were more than happy to go out of their way to make sure I could have the food delivered, the gentleman came to my door in his own car! Was super kind and polite with me and even wished me a speedy recovery. Kindness from your local businesses is really important and this event made me feel so positively about the human race again. I want to thank the lovely gentleman from the shop, you have seriously made my entire week!! Thank you so much X A* every time for the food too!

I can only describe the food as abysmal!!! We have just had fish, chips, peas and sauce etc. The peas were not cooked through, cold chips (tasted blanched and refried) and as for the fish it was slimy!! It took an argument in the shop to get my money back, as apparently the peas are not sod as mushy!! and so can serve anything. The staff did not know what the fish was, "it is white fish possibly Haddock". I have allready descibed the chips and service!! My advice is stay away !!!

Excellent customer service and fantastic food

This is my favourite take away in town with their salt and pepper starters being the best in town in my opinion (try the salt and pepper mix starter). Friendly staff, a warm welcome and great food have kept me coming back for many years.

Clean friendly premises who make great chips and sausages. The gravy is superb with a slight Chinese spicy flavour. I'll be going there again lots.

the food is beautiful, the staff are really nice. Not much else i could ask for, in my eyes this establishment deserves 6 stars but the limit is 5.

We have ordered from New Fortune House previously via telephone and the food was lovely and arrived quickly. However, on this occasion we decided to order online via Just Eat for ease. We then received an email 30 minutes after placing our order to say that it had been cancelled for unknown reasons by the takeaway. When I rang the takeaway to ask about why this was the case, I was told that the order had been cancelled by the person receiving it because we are too far away - even though we have gotten it before without problems - and that we could not order again. Very annoying considering we have gotten it before and were not told that our order was cancelled or why! Disappointing.

I have been visiting this take away for 10 years and have never had a bad meal from here. They offer English food and Chinese food. All food is fresh and well priced.

I travel miles to eat here. Shop isn't pretty but it is very clean and the food is always excellent. Friendly staff too.
