I ordered afternoon tea to be delivered to an air bnb we were staying at for my hen do, and the food was absolutely gorgeous. It came on beautifully wrapped and presented cake stands and individual dietary requirements were catered for perfectly, giving those people their own box of goodies. Everyone loved the food and it was soooo reasonably priced. Very impressed and would 100% recommend! Thank you 🥰

Came back for the Sunday Lunch we had the beef and the chicken, they were both out of this world. This is the best Sunday Lunch out i have ever had. The staff are engaging and attentive. This place is great for just a drink too as a lovely vibe and open til late. They have live singers on regularly too. All round 5* place that i can highly recommend!!

The Cottage is a fine example of the great British local. Friendly staff, a decent well-priced pint and a resident cat.

Given a Groupon voucher as a gift for this meal. We got the budget Groupon service. Small table tucked away. Tonight a long story short the rump top steak cut we were only able to have with this package was so chewey and poor it had to be re cooked just to be edible The monkfish cheeks I had as a starter was tiny and smothered in a curried sauce the triple cooked chips were processed thin croquettes. And the Dirty mash did t seem to have the bacon lardons. Just some gravy and a sprig of cooked onions. All in all a poor showing for what looks like a lovely place to dine. To top it off the first bill presented was for the full meal no Groupon voucher taken into account. And the waitresses rolled her eyes when I explained their error. Chester has a lot of dining experiences and we go to a few when we can. I don’t think we will revisit this one.

Visiting Chester for a few days, we happened on the Cross Keys on our last night, which was their quiz night, but the landlord ensured we felt included. For us it’s a “proper” pub, it reminded us of when we used to have a “ local”. Thank you for the warm welcome.

The menu, offering and team at Number 46 in Chester are second to none. Whether it is for a regular sandwich or soup & sandwich or whether it is for a business lunch including pre ordered buffet, the quality of the food and presentation is fantastic. As well as regular takeaway sandwich and occasional sit down lunches, I use Number 46 for business buffets when we have clients visiting or team days. They have never disappointed. Thanks Team 46.

We attended as a group of 15 people for bottomless brunch which made us think that the service might be slow with it being a big group. The service was amazing and so quick with the drinks, they’d keep coming to check we all had our drinks full and if we needed anything else. I couldn’t recommend it more, you definitely drink your moneys worth.

I came here for an early evening meal, the place was quiet. It's nice to see the chef at work, from your table. There's a counter bell for when a order is ready; I suppose this can get a bit of annoying when it's packed. I decided to go for an 8oz steak, with rocket salad & frites; the peppercorn sauce was extra. I had it well done, it was just right; although there weren't many frites. So I decided to have a desert; a twist on the apple pie them, with an apple pie pancake. This came with icecream on top, and some kind of sweet sauce.
