The best restaurants serving British food in North West

We recently had a festive menu lunch at this restaurant - we were disappointed. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were uncomfortably cold, and were glad to put our coats back on at the end of the meal. Some of the food was poor, with vegetables undercooked - sprouts hard as bullets. Our Christmas pudding dessert, whilst tasty, was the smallest portion of pudding I've every seen in my life - it was barely 4 spoonfuls. Another dessert we ordered arrived in a sensible sized portion and was very tasty. The non-festive food options looked very nice and with hindsight they would have been a better choice. My advice is save yourself some money and order from the standard menu.

I visit this costa most days. Ruth and her team are all friendly and helpful in particular Kate who is kind and patient. She is lovely to all of the young children who come into the store. My grandson loves her.

Just like any Witherspoons apart from no toilet paper in gents toilets take you own like l did.Staff need to check this more often you should not have to tell them.

Kust spud u like nog very good at all Had beans and cheese x 2, egg mayo on other. Well hunt the cheese wasnt in it, hardly any at all , beans luke wafm, and spuduke eadm too!! Egg mayo eas earm and spud cold..... cold garlic bread too!! Wasnt worth 25 pound Will not be visiting again, no customer setvice check to see.if everything ok. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE not worth going in my opinion.

Wowza. About 25 -30 of us for a leavers party. Food was incredible. Lota of it, lots of variety, catered for all requirements and i had the vegan afternoon tea. It waa3 delicious! Couldn't eat it all, there was so much. Lovely service price and venue! Definitely recommend!

Interesting and mixed feedback. Service can be slow buts it’s a self service cafe. Marie does however make the best coffee in Pendle so congrats Marie

Horrible customer service won’t be back. myself and a friend had went to siloth for a ice cream to find the shop was shut so we came here instead and it was a wasted journey, went in and the place is dated, went over the the ice cream section and the selection wasn’t that great.. the old man behind the counter had an attitude problem and seemed rude to both of us, when my friend asked for sauce and sprinkles he handed her a pot with sprinkles and sauce separate for her to put on her self, I'm surprised he didn’t ask her to get behind the counter and put the ice cream in the cone her self. Then we had both got back to the car and put the sprinkles and sauce on we started to eat them. The ice cream was flavourless and the cones were soft and weren’t very enjoyable.

This is no longer a golf club. The course is now signed over to the Woodland Trust and being planted with trees. The clubhouse is now a child's playgroup.

I ordered 2 breakfast yesterday from the brun lea and all I can say is I would not even feed that to my dog or a stray cat!!! Go back to being a weatherspoons!!Secondly!! My son ordered the pie and a Pandora charm was found in the pie I was told by a bar staffThat I must of dropped it mySelf as the chef doesn’t have a one on the levelOf professionalism In that place is minimal and I will not be going on my weekly visit no longer !!Disgusting Ps the picture of the pie is beforeI found a charmInside!!!! Burn dry pie ... sandpaper mushy peas and cardboard chips ewwwww!!

I’ve been going here for years. The food and service of the current owner has always been excellent and I visit weekly. We mostly have fish and chips and it’s proper cod and all cooked to an excellent standard.

Poor choice of food and very expensive. £8:50 for a cheeseburger chips £3:95. Also not the best quality. If travelling on the steam railway probably better to plan ahead and bring a picnic.

Large cafe built with small private areas warm and relaxing. Staff very hard working and friendly. No awful background music. I ordered small breakfast and coffee, rechargeable, £5 for over 60s THE LOW LIFE GOVERNMENT Couldn't HELP THE ELDERLY THIS WINTER BUT MORRISON'S FOUND A WAY AROUND IT. THANK YOU MORRISONS. st time using today, food portions were OK for a child, chips were definitely not fresh (frozen) liver was rubbery, fish was gooey, £38.85 for food for 4 people disgusting £1.20 per carton of apple juice although they are from a supermarket in a 6 pack which cost £1.69 absolutely disgraceful it says not to be sold seperatly, staff members well I've seen happier tortoises stood there staring whilst we ate would not recommend at all food not fit for a dog

Rude and impatient staff. Glasses and bottles left on tables downstairs. Empty upstairs. Will not return.
