Kust spud u like nog very good at all Had beans and cheese x 2, egg mayo on other. Well hunt the cheese wasnt in it, hardly any at all , beans luke wafm, and spuduke eadm too!! Egg mayo eas earm and spud cold..... cold garlic bread too!! Wasnt worth 25 pound Will not be visiting again, no customer setvice check to see.if everything ok. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE not worth going in my opinion.

I needed to kill some time, and through TripAdvisor I was heading to Harry Ramsdens. There was a bit of a queue, but next door, here, was much less busy. With the intention of getting a spud I spotted a guy who'd had a Caesar salad, which looked good, so I had one too. Staff weren't too busy, but the preparer came and helped out on the front till, which was good to see. Food was good and service, up to that point had been good. But before I'd even sat down a third waitress appeared and waited to take my tray off me while I took my plate and coffee off it. I asked if they were running out of trays, but she completely blanked me. Should've dropped a star to 4 star really, but good food, served well, and some other seemingly over critical reviews, means for the sake of fairness 5 seems justified. I had no expectation of fine dining. But what expectations I did have, were exceeded.

It was really hectic and busy today due to school vacation and the rain. The staff were pleasant which was much appreciated.

Haven't been in a spud-U-Like for donkeys years ( life changed , tastes moved on & I left this place in the past ), wasn't really up to going in this time either , but the other half insisted ..... wow , took me right back to growing up in the 80's .... forgotten how much I used to like the simple spud and filling. Place clean and tidy , staff really cheerful .... spud & filling nice, proper glass for my coke ! ...... will be back again, I just wont leave it over 20 years next time

Don't bother going the place was dirty, the staff were rude, the pototoes were small and the tuna and chilli fillings were both dry. Also the drinks were expensive. Worst food outlet I have been for along time.

Would never visit again!! Dirty smell and rude staff!!! Avoid!!! Don’t bother with head office! They haven’t really got one, and don’t know what they’re talking about, plus they don’t have a complaint department!

I had the chili con carne spud with cheese, add an extra £2odd for 2 tiny pieces of garlic bread and a 7up drink. Total was £10.50--- for a spud really? Although it filled me,I wasn't impressed at the price or the quality. I've had better garlic baguettes form the supermarket for quid. Sorry but I wouldn't return..not even if the food was heated more.

I am not normally one to write reviews, however this time I felt it is required. Ordered two meal deals and assumed the price was £5.49 each deal, however at the till turned out to be over £17 for 2 jackets with a drink and garlic bread! I questioned the amount with the server, however it was his colleague who pointed out the correct price. I simply made a comment that it's not clear from first glance what the total price is as I assumed it to be the cheaper, as is stated on the offer next to this one on the menu board. A lady in the background overheard the conversation and with a complete attitude decided to interfere in the conversation. Further discussion was had and I have to say I have never had anyone speak to me like that,and what is even more shocking is the lady turned out to be the manager. It's safe to say I will not be returning and have lodged a complaint with their head office.

Took my 86yr old mother here while out shopping . The first time I went to one of these chains was in Chester when I was a student . It's a credit to the business skill to keep expanding . But I'll say this it's also a lot to do with the prices . 2 spuds with filling 1 tea 1 coffee . £16+ it's a bit pricy . But very clean ,with no loud music . Staff were efficient.

food ok drinks also ok , a little over priced for what you get but it is in an outlet centre .staff pleasant.

Called whilst shopping and enjoyed our lunch. Potato with filling of the day, garlic bread and a coffee for less than £6, thought was good value. Service could have been a little faster.

We popped in for an early lunch and were the only ones in the place….. It was clean and bright. The tables were all tidy and the counter seemed well stocked with drinks and was clean. The inside of the venue was a bit like a canteen or a café – nothing of note really. There are no toilets. We each had a baked potato with chilli and a coffee. It was ok. The food was piping hot and seemed fresh but there was absolutely nothing special about this meal for the (almost) £17 that it cost us (for both of us)! Yes, you read it right! It was all pre-prepared and so the food and coffee was served up at the counter within less than a minute of ordering. So, how on earth they justify £6.49 for a baked spud with a pre-prepared and not special chilli topping is beyond me. There wasn’t a lot of it either to be honest. The plates were nothing special and the cutlery was just canteen stuff. The napkins were thin. There just seemed to be nothing special at all to justify the price. On a more positive note, we were on a very popular shopping complex and the lady who served us was efficient and friendly and of course as I said, we didn’t have to wait for the food. But it was all just a tad overpriced for what we had.

Visited today on my own with a toddler. Member of staff who served me offered to bring our food over to the table and get a highchair for us which was really helpful. Food was nice & reasonably priced and a good healthy option for me and my child.

I went in to spud U like today staff where fantastic. The manager on shift David was excellent very helpful and friendly. The gentleman who served me Steven was very happy and helpful food was hot and very tasty

Great place for all the family... quick service and lovely food at reasonable prices. The girls there were amazing especially Gemma and Natalie who made sure everyone had a great service. All in all brilliant service by all staff and the place was spotless.

Called in here while shopping and ordered the meal deal which was a potato and chick pea curry type of filling.The photo (as always with promotional deals), looked much better than what we received. Wouldn't be in a rush to return to Spud u like nor would i be recommending. The food tasted ok but there are others on the outlets that are better.

Wonderful and hot food at a very reasonable price. Friendly staff, despite it being a busy time. The food was a warming and filling tonic on a cold and windy November day.

The place was clean and tidy, staff were polite and friendly. Very expensive for what it was... ended up costing about £16 for two jacket potatoes and two drinks, they didn't have any garlic bread which was advertised with the meals.

Called in for something quick to eat, because short on time. Served relatively quickly, but food was awful. Potatoes were hard and black inside. Beans were lukewarm. Didn’t bother complaining, as we needed to be somewhere and didn’t want a replacement. Won’t bother returning.

Been many many times before here and at various other locations always been very happy. The staff here were brilliant, really bubbly, very kind and helpful. Evan gave me a discount because 1 of the toppings I wanted on my spud had ran out.

A quick bite to eat, with family whilst shopping. Prices are good for a baked potato with a filling, however, I won't return, there were two other seated customers, clearly not busy, yet the service from young woman behind the till was virtually non-existent. Ordered food and drinks, waited an age for a baked potato with cottage cheese! Think perhaps they had to milk a cow prior, the child's portion was a joke my daughter needed feeding again! Had to return back to the till for missing items that we'd ordered, with two other customers staff should have been able to get it right surely! Then the girl didn't have a clue! Yes dear the drinks? Hello? The drinks we ordered... still waiting? Didn't have a clue! The premises was absolutely freezing also, macdonalds is better for a nasty place to eat.

I called in on a Saturday afternoon and found that the staff where helpful and friendly. The restaurant is clear and fresh looking and the jacket potatoe was lovely 👍

I love jacket potatoe so the food was ok but the shop wasn't very clean when we went in and we had to wait for some of our food. I heard the staff say some options were not available to other customers dining there. It was ok but wont hurry back.

After a long wait in a queue that only had four or five in front of me I eventually was served one baked potato. Then told I would have to wait for second potato as no other potatoes ready. Second potato was brought down quite quickly but both were not properly cooked - really disappointing after waiting so long in a queue. We returned the food and were given a full refund. Staff were very pleasant.

The restaurant is pleasant and clean, the staff are friendly and efficient, there's a good choice of fillings for the potatoes, and the prices are okay. We were the only ones in there which is a real shame given that its a very healthy meal choice. The pizza and burger places were all full of parents with young children. Only one small negative point; we weren't given straws, which is good, but we were given single-use plastic cutlery even though as we later realised, metal cutlery was available, and that's not so good.

If you are after a quick meal which will keep you filled for long this is a place to go. Friendly staff.

Went in at lunchtime and had to wait 15 minutes for potatoes to be cooked. Was told I couldn't have a drink whilst waiting as part of the meal deal, even if I prefer paid. When served eventually, the coronation chicken had no flavour. Would not recommend this eaterie and now know why it was almost empty on a busy Sunday lunchtime!

They sell jacket potatoes. They can't even get that right! Four jacket potatoes sent back (x 2 each) as they were hard then the Manager refused a refund and to bring fresh cooked ones, just offering a "sweet treat" with new ones. Back on Black Friday were given uncooked potatoes here too. At least three other parties sent their food back as we were waiting for our replacements. Brought free coffee out and given refund with fresh potatoes, although they were STILL hard!! Ate what we could! Floor walking staff very apologetic and sympathetic, feel sorry for them dealing head on with complaints.

It is what it says jacket potatoes with fillings nothing spectacular plain and simple, Drinks also available, ok for a quick stop and a recharge before more shopping.

Nice to have somewhere like this in Cheshire Oaks where you can get good value, simple food. The jacket potatoes were huge and so were the portions of toppings! Definitely great value for the price. I was a bit disappointed that there was no option...

I’ve been here on 3 occasions in the last 2 months. Each time I’ve been is between 6-7pm due to work. Every time I’ve been here they have no hot fillings other than baked beans. It’s a total farce. They tell me they have ‘run out’, just put more on then, you are still open for another 2 hours.

Visited this eatery fast food outlet on numerous occasions over the past few months and each time it has been approximately an hour before the place closes officially due to me shopping.

Used to go here all the time, visited today the plates were filthy with water in the bottom, garlic bread not cooked. Left mine complete waste of money. Won’t go back.

This restaurant is disgusting. Maggots in kitchen reheated food, dishes left for hours before being washed don’t eat here. Treat staff like rubbish and expect them to work all hours god sends. Anyone that eats here has a death wish

Visited during the week. We were served very quickly. Large amount of filling on our order. It is what it is!

You sometimes have to wait, depending on the time of day as the potatoes are oven cooked. That said, the meal deals on offer can make this a good value deal. We had the chana masala (spicy chick pea) and a cottage cheese one. The portion size is ample and the potato must be about 400g?, with a drink and garlic bread slices, it's usually about £5 each and a bit healthier than the other fast food places. They sometimes struggle to keep the tables emptied and customers served as a normal fast food, baked pots aren't exactly 'fast' though!

I visit Cheshire Oaks every couple of months but unfortunately have not had the chance to eat here .

Visited Friday lunch time and not that busy. Took 25 minutes to get served. Had to shout order to kitchen at the back and then tell the person on the counter the same thing

- Dirty floor - Dirty trays - Had to shout to a guy at the back in kitchen area instead of talk to girl at till/counter to order food. - Over priced. - Cold and dry garlic bread. - Rubbish marketing/decorative posters that resemble something you would see in a dentist waiting room. - £5.99 for a potato with a bit of filling, a syrup based fizzy drink and the two measliest slices of garlic bread I've ever seen in my entire life. - Just don't waste your time. D.I.S.A.P.P.O.I.N.T.E.D

I visited the Cheshire oaks store today queued up for at least 15 minutes. There was a sign outside the door, a massive one above the tills plus smaller tent cards on tables with a meal deal on, when we eventually got served I asked for the meal deal to which the guy on the till said sorry we haven't got it!!! Not very happy as this isn't the first time this has happened I then said ok I'll just have the chicken tikka to which again they said sorry we haven't got that either!!!!! What the hell how easy would it be to remove the sign at the front door remove all the tent cards and put a sign on the menu boards that things are sold out!!! That's 15 minutes of my life wasted because your staff simply can't be bothered, so frustrating and will go else where next time.

Called in for a quick lunch as my partner is a jacket spud fanatic... You could eat in or take out, we stayed in, ordered spuds and cola and sat near the window. The place gradually started to fill up. The food itself was ok and averagely priced. We would probably try somewhere else next time.

Have been before and always enjoyed it. Today was different!!!! No cheese, no garlic bread, no sweet corn in tuna!!!!! Tuna not mixed sufficiently so huge lumps without mayo!!!! No apologies!!!! Disappointing.

Had lunch here, while the staff are helpful the food is a bit lacking! Ordered a plain jacket, a cheese and bean jacket, a drench juice bottle and a Diet Coke, this came to an eye watering £11.28! We wanted to order a jacket with Tuna, no mayo, but was told they couldn’t do it.When they came the jacket skins were very tough, that coupled with the blunt knives made it difficult to cut the potato.Overall, not impressed, wouldn’t come again.

Whoever came up with this idea of selling a 20p potato for 5.99 (with a bit of bread and a fizzy drink) is probably sunning themselves on a yacht and eating much better food than me! Shockingly expensive for what you get which isn't much. There's no green salad either. The meal deal mentioned above is only with coronation chicken for some reason! Don't go unless you aren't very hungry or like small jacket potatoes.

We called in here during a shopping expedition at this brilliant complex. We both got jacket potatoes with cheese, which were okay and as expected. However, our table was right next to a stack of plastic baby high chairs which were constantly being taken out and back and taken out again, which rendered conversation between us almost impossible. So very noisy. The tray was swiftly taken away as I had just about put my fork down and hadn't even finished my drink; the waitress had been hovering for a few minutes ready to do the deed and I felt like I was in a sketch of Fawlty Towers! On the plus side, the place and the tables were clean.

We ate here at it was the only restaurant at Cheshire Oaks that offered something Slimming World friendly. I had a baked potato with cottage cheese and chives and it was perfectly fine. The potato was well cooked and the cottage cheese was tasty but what else can you say about a baked potato? The fact that it was syn free made it the perfect lunch time meal. The price wasn't the best but you're not going to find a cheap meal at a place like this. For anyone following Slimming World, I'd recommend this with no hesitation.

I have worked in many restaurants, and here I have received some of the best service in my entire life, I don't get any team member names, but I can in at 7 pm April 1st. A reward for their service is needed!

Really impressive! Staff were friendly and efficient. Comparing it to my local Spud-u-like , the portions were enormous and real knives and forks were appreciated. I chose chicken tikka it was delicious. Staff cleared tables quickly and seemed eager to chat to customers, offering tasters of the fillings. My sister asked for a children's portion...no problem at all. On leaving, we received a thank you and the door was opened for us. Not what you expect from a fast food chain.Well done team Spud-u-like.

Had a 5 minute wait due to the queue but the staff were very efficient.We were very impressed with the speed of service, the portion sizes and the speed the tables were cleaned after being vacated.The potato was an average size, however the filling was extremely generous, I couldn't eat all the Cottage Cheese and Chives! Great value at under £4.50 for lunch.

Arrived at lunchtime but they'd had a rush on so asked if we could come back in 20 min. This wasn't a problem and when we came back they really looked after us. Food as usual was excellent would definitely recommend

Not my choice of lunch destinations, but as my friend was dieting she was keen to visit this premise. Must say, I was not disappointed!! The potatoes were well cooked and the filling more than enough, in fact, which is uncommon, I had to leave some!! Good value for money and the staff were very attentive. I watched an old lady struggle with her tray but a member of staff quickly saw this and helped her. Will be back

I have had many problems with the Chester spud-u-like and on two occasions the Cheshire Oaks branch were just fantastic and rectified it despite it being a different franchise and nothing to do with them. The food and service is fantastic and the deputy manager Shaun could not have done anymore to help me. Whilst I was there on one of my visits another lady came over and thanked Shaun for everything and said how great the service was. Well done for your fantastic customer service.

After visiting the Trafford Cenrre Spud-u-Like the day before, I had high hopes for this Spud-u-Like at Cheshire Oaks and I was very happy with the food! Okay, the queue was VERY long, but what do you expect on a Friday afternoon and lunchtime during the school Chrisrmas holidays? However, saying this, the queue was also cleared quire fast as well with three staff on the till points trying to get the orders processed as quickly as possible. The potatoes were served at a good temperature, and they were very tasty. However, they didn't give us the garlic bread we had ordered, but as soon as we asked about it, we were given it straight away.This wasn't just Spud 'U' Like, it was Spud 'I' Like!!

After waiting for 20 minutes in the queue I was very disappointed to be told that there were NO desserts ! This is when there is still a display of deserts and prices as well as a large advert for a "sweet-treat" - would have been more customer focused to have at least covered up the signs.

Fantastic customer service under pressure! We went as a large family group, the queue of hungry Christmas shoppers was building but the staff were amazing at ensuring all our needs were met.

Well what more can I say but OUTSTANDING ! As I walk through the door on Saturday afternoon I was greeted by a member of the management think his name was Shaun , deputy manager , he got us a chair for the baby and he then had a good old chat to us just about are day ! It was busy and as we watched him go round he had time for every customer ! Definitely returning here next week and every other week Keep it up Shaun your definitely doing everything right !!

I'm currently at the East Mids retail outlet, where hubby and I thought we would try the food court. It's well past two so not horrendously busy. However after waiting for the longest time imaginable at the "spud u like" stand I gave up. To say they move at a glacial pace is an understatement. I think they actually measure their staff output in geological time....perhaps more staff would be the answer to prevent those customers waiting clocking into retirement before they get served.

Visited whilst out shopping.. only 1 staff member serving so we had a 10 min wait to place our order but the staff were polite and the restaurant was clean. Food portions good and nice cheap stop for a quick lunch.

They were short staffed, which meant service was really slow. But the staff that were there tried to keep the seating tidy. Food was good and generous portion of filling.Reasonable reliable food.

We couldn't fault the food that we eventually got but don't go here for a quick lunch ! It took 25 minutes to get to the front of the queue and there were only 5 people ahead of us ! They were so so slow - it was painful to watch. They really need some serious training in mow to operate a fast food outlet.

Not a good experience! Ran in on lunch break for a spud with coronation chicken . Had as meal deal the garlic bread was just soggy luke warm bread! Spud was ok. Waited ages to be served by a slow member off staff that was more interested in talking to other member off staff. Not cheep either won't be going in again

This place is my heaven. Strangely was full of Irish people but they were so wholesome I loved it. Quirky plastic cutlery that could blow your mind if you're not ready for it. The napkins are weirdly folded and someone was crying. In a root veg eatery! Quite peeved by the time I left. Great place.

This was an appalling visit. Following a 25 minute wait to be served (3 in the queue) and with no card facility I was told that they had virtually run out of food. Truly the worst visit to this restaurant chain - not recommended.

Called in here around 7pm Wednesday 28th September 2016 whilst my wife went shopping.I opted for the coronation chicken meal deal which was simply delicious. The premises were sparkling and the staff complied strictly with food hygiene procedures. They were also very friendly and helpful. I will come here each time we visit Cheshire Oaks.

Had a lovely lunch here today, had a Prawn jacket potato, it was really tasty and plenty of filling.

Called in today for dinner with my mum and son. Staff are exceptionally polite. The food I thought was slightly over priced and I would have liked butter on my jacket potato......my fault though for not asking. One of the waiters was rather gorgeous. (I even caught my mum having a sneaky peak at him ;-)He's in the wrong job....he should be on the cover of a magazine.

We came to Cheshire Oaks on the penultimate day of our holiday for the wide range of shops. Started to get a little hungry and we've been to spud u like in Antrim before and liked it.Came in, relatively friendly staff and good meal deals (yes, they're not on all the potatoes, but so what?) Most of us had the Coronation Chicken meal deal (big potato, lots of filling, 2 slices of garlic bread and a big soft drink)There were also a few options for my sister who is a vegetarian (although I have heard that some of the cheese may not be suitable)My sister enjoyed the Channa Massala meal deal.

Very slow service. Overpriced. My wife found 2 black hairs in her food. Noticed none of the staff was wearing hair nets. Pepsi and pepsi max drinks were flat. Meal deals only on certain jacket potatoes. Left with it complaining as the queue was far too long.didn't want to wait in line again.

Eaten at Spud-U-Like on many occasions & know what to expect, but our visit yesterday was not up the usual standards. Very slow service, mediocre food, cluttered eating area. Shame, as it's usually very good.

Popped into designer outlet to go to M&S and had arrived just at lunch time thought we would give Spud u like a go. We arrived just before the mad dash, so were able to get ordered and sat down without too much fuss. The shop was nice bright and clean apart from the odd table which needed clearing away. They had a nice wide entryway for people in wheelchairs and kids buggies. They have a few highchairs around the place also. The server was friendly and polite and the meal arrived quite quickly with everything we ordered along with salts and peppers, cutlery and serviettes. We had both ordered the baked potato with cottage cheese and were presented with a largish potato and a huge serving of cottage cheese and chive. We used to use Spud u Like quite often in the past and were always very happy with the potatoes texture and choice of fillings so both of us were hopeful that all would be as we remembered, and thankfully we were rewarded with a well-cooked potato and in my mind one of the best cottage cheeses on the market from Langley farm. As we were leaving the store got quite busy but all the staff remained smiley and seemed to cope well with the sudden surge in custom. If you just want something quick, tasty and wholesome then you could do far worse.

I was especially pleased with the mixed bean salad with French Dressing. So tasty. With cheese - and happy to see that there was a new Vegetarian cheese available. There seemed to be some confusion on the brand changing recently, but I was informed the standard rennet was a vegetarian one in the ingredients list, and the packaging stated it was suitable. I thought the allergens laminate on the tills was very detailed too as I am gluten free. The cashier was very friendly, no question too much trouble, and talking about a new crushed potato salad menu possibly coming this year which I thought would be great for vegan options too. The tomato & olive rocket salad sounds ideal. Looking forward to seeing that!

We visited Spud U Like when we were visiting the Cheshire Oaks outlet (where the cafe is located) and we were pleased with the potatoes served there.There was quite a bit of choice on Spud U Like's menu and as I said the meal was really nice.Definetly recommended.

they selling only potato but it was not ready takes 30 min.to long and it was still not ready2 expensive

I didn't get you're name I'm sorry but we popped in Thursday around 10.30am. Early I know but we wanted something big before driving to Manchester for the day. It was a huge portion. I had the chick pea curry, drink and garlic bread all for £4.50 !! Didn't eat again til gone 8pm that evening. The lady who served me was chatted and friendly. Even accommodated my ocd bringing me hand sanitiser and something to clean my cutlery again with. Only didn't like the fact they didn't have a toilet and I wash my hands twice before eating (ocd) it's nice not to be looked at like a burden or that I'm disrespecting their cleanliness because of my condition. She was fascinated by it :) thank you for putting us all in a great mood before a drive in torrential hailstones and snow! ❄️

I have used this Spud u Like before and it has been a bit hit or miss but this time they really got it right. Blonde female manager working on the bit where the potatoes are prepared and the queue was really shifting. The guy who served me on the till was friendly and personable even though he had to fight his way in on his bike in the crazy sales shoppers traffic. The portion sizes were really generous and the free snowman biscuit with the children's meal was a really nice touch.

the sude u like after a quck chat on phone we went over to them and it was worth the journey, bigger jacket patato bigger filling all for 11 quid,2nd time we went in the jacket patato didn't seen the same and lesser filling this time 14 quid, this time wasa bit let down

Popped in for some fast food one evening when it was empty. The staff were genuinely pleasant and friendly, the food was super fresh with generous portion size. Not sure why it was empty but I'll be back again tonight.

Went in this morning 2/11/15 met by lovely young lady who was concerned about me not having coat on, only had cup of nice hot tea £1-20, but first impressions, very clean, nice friendly staff, will be returning when I next visit outlet.

Good quick service, considering it was a busy Saturday, piping hot food will return on next visit to Cheshire oaks,

Dreadful.... Place is filthy, lots of dirty tables just waiting to be cleaned. Only appeared to be 2 staff working. Food was mediocre. Everything out of big plastic tubs. Cheap and nasty coleslaw. All served in plastic containers and with plastic cutlery . Couldn't even have coffee in a proper cup as they'd run out!No on site toilets.All in all a terrible dining experience never to be repeated.

Lovely potato's and plenty of filling on them, really enjoyed this meal. I had mine with prawns in seafood sauce, and the others had chilli delicious meal and filling.

The only thing that is real is the potato, all the fillings are bought in tubs and microwaved! They are also way overpriced.

Although the food was ok the state of the place was distgusting. There was thick dust along the rails and the windows were full of dead flies. This is not a place to visit being a tourists resort with many different people visiting the city.

family of five all had lunch under £25.00, kids deal jacket with filling and drink lea than £4.00, we had fillings of chicken tikka, chilli, tuna and cheese and beans all very nice, and friendly staff

Visited this restaurant twice lately, was satisfied with the service on both occasions - the queue was short, moved fast and the till staff where polite. Can't really ask for more in fast food! My only complaint about Spud-U-Like not specifically against this store is pricing. Compared to other chains, drinks and food are expensive (like how much does a potato cost really?)
