We are visiting from Australia and enjoyed this pub and its food a couple of times during a previous visit. Not to be repeated this trip! We walked in on a Tuesday evening just after 7pm. We settled into one of the booths and checked out the menu. When I got up to go to the bar to order food and drinks, the barman called out to us and said the kitchen was closed! Wow! We walked out at 7.15pm - No food, No drinks. Ten minutes later, we were welcomed at The Hayhurst Arms in Bostock by friendly staff and amazing food. Do yourselves a favour😊

Brilliant pub. The staff were very hospitable and friendly. On hand to help us. Food was well good. Jay was exceptionally hospitable and helpful. Would recommend to anyone to come down

We regularly visit & have never been disappointed. Always delicious food & a great experience. However this time we would also like to do a huge shout out the our waiter, Luke. He was just lovely & went above & beyond while serving us. Such a polite, kind young man - thank you Luke!

Been here several times with my daughter,granddaughters and friends. The food and service is always really good. This time was no exception. Luke is a credit to your team,very polite and attentive.

Scored this 5/5 last visit (sea bass). Sadly our latest visit not as good. Service exceptional as was cleanliness, however we ordered fish goujons in a bap with skinny fries, coleslaw and tartar sauce. The goujons and tartar sauce were sublime, but the bap was two pieces of sliced bread and the chips and coleslaw, felt like budget supermarket buys. I don't like to leave less than 100% feedback, this is a first for me, but left feeling disappointed.

Stumbled across this beautiful pub on the way home. Instantly greeted by friendly staff. The food was delicious. Had the sage roasted chicken breast from the specials menu. 100% recommend. Unsure if it was the manager. Blonde lady was lovely.

I ordered a plate of fish and chips, at first it didn't cook properly, they changed it. Then it became crispy. After eating most of it, I realized that the menu should actually have tartar sauce on the plate, when I asked the waiter if you wanted any sauce after taking the orders, he said. I also said that we didn't want another sauce because there was sauce on the menu. And then he replied nonsensely. Isn't it weird to be asked about a sauce that should already be on the plate?

Very tasty traditional Roast beef Sunday dinner. My husband and myself had eaten here a couple of times and never disappointed so we decided to try Sunday roast beef and it was amazing! Will definitely be back soon. Amazing food and worth the price

10/10!! Amazing staff and lovely food. My daughter left here tamagotchi when we were travelling, Russel the assistant manager was very nice when we contacted him, he kept it to one side after trying to chase us into the car park but missed us. He even posted it to us for free. He truly made a little girl happy. Really nice guy the rest of the staff were great aswell, place was clean and tidy with great food

Visit regularly for drink and perhaps food once a week. The food is generally of an Ok standard but nothing special. I have been to far better Lees houses

We been there many times after tasting the fish and chips we have not been anywhere else

Quiet when we arrived strangely as work had finished, nice decor , friendly staff, good selection of food and wine, imagine it has a good atmosphere when busy

Had the chicken salad. Very nice and a good portion. Not very busy at the time. Waitress very attentive, prices reasonable. Pub was clean and tidy.Will return at some point

Only visited to see if they had a meeting room for upto 20 people. Unforunatley all open plan so could not help, perhaps they are missing out on an business oportunity

My mate had the Sunday lunch and he said it was very good.The ales are not the best kept and are often on the turn which is a real shame as that would put me off going in.The pub itself is nice and roomy with plenty of space outside.

There were 9 of us there this afternoon for Mother's Day and as usual we had a lovely time and a lovely meal. The staff are just lovely without exception. Special thanks to the lovely young lady with the blonde hair (sorry, I didn't get your name) who had a quick word with the chef and tailored my meal to help me stick to my Slimming World journey. I was extremely grateful and touched that you did that for me. I can't recommend this place highly enough. We live over in Bury but so enjoy coming here when we're over visiting family.

Really nice pub, visiting family after moving away from northwich 3 years ago and service has improved a lot, might have just caught staff on bad nights when I used to live here but the staff tonight were really friendly and personable. Drinks are reasonably priced and the pub has always been clean

Awful tasteless food! Service with a smile, but food absolutely terrible, how much work does a Cook need to do with frozen food !!! These places are getting worse, a chain so they have the cheapest ingredients possible and make the most amount of profit - and against all rules to allow vaping!!!

Went to The Kingfisher for lunch and we had a roast meat bap and a fish finger bap. The beef was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, and there was plenty of it. The accompanying salad which I chose instead of chips was plentiful and fresh. My wife's fish fingers looked more like whole fish and this too was delicious. Add to that the fact that there was a discount if you ordered two main courses and you have superb value for money. The service was very attentive and efficient and we were made to feel welcome. There was a brown ale special beer on which was beautiful and that's coming from someone who normally drinks lager. It was a Thursday afternoon and was quiet but the pub looked well kept and clean with the sunlight flooding through the windows. It was freezing outside but lovely and cosy inside. I definitely recommend The Kingfisher as a great place to chill and get a nice lunch, especially in the middle of the week.

Didnt eat ,just nipped in for a pint,nice pub friendly staff,just make sure you put your car reg in for free parking .just bought a house near it so could become my local .

Excellent meal enjoyed by the 6 of us. Pub was busy which set a perfect atmosphere. My son wanted something not on the menu and Jay (Member of staff) went the extra mile to accommodate my lads meal choice. Great evening. Thanks.

Stopped in for a quick drink whilst in the area. The pub was busy and had a really nice feel. The Xmas decorations were very pretty. Seems a lovely family friendly pub, hopefully will be returning for some food soon.

Came here for our Friday night ladies Christmas meal. It certainly didn't disappoint. The whole evening was brilliant. The food the service the amazing staff and wonderful atmosphere perfect. Would definitely recommend and will be back in the new year

Great pub. Only came for a drink but they had a great selection and the staff are wonderful!

I know it is a monday evening but restaurant was empty. Steak was too fatty to chew and couldnt get a knife through it. Mince in the lasagne was mushy and tasteless. Only good thing were the chips which were nice and hot.

Note - gave the food 3 stars because I haven't eaten there in a while. Only went for drinks. Everything I saw looked good though. Great pub. Good selections for drinks (provided you're okay with Lees ) and good service. Great beer garden with plenty of seating including heated. Accommodates kids, dogs, the works.

Without doubt the best steak and ale pie I have ever had! A very big thick slice of pie full of succulent meat served with proper chips and mushy peas. Really great value too and close to an EV charge point.

Staff very polite and helpful and service was very good. Facilities and beer garden were ok. £16 for 2 drinks is ridiculous, food prices are not much better.

We had a family 50th birthday party for a family member. The staff were very kind and helpful. There was a lot of inappropriate language coming from downstairs and lots of people shouting. We were upstairs, with elderly family, so that wasn’t appropriate. But overall a ok experience.

The staff were really attentive and helpful but the food was really bad. Poor quality and tasteless and just not good. Shame as nice inside but would never eat there again.

Just an update to our 2022 review. Food, service and staff still very good. We now stop by at least once a week, Tracy, Russell & team always make us feel welcome.

Thanks to Charly and Ben for the excellent service and food, had a superb Sunday lunch. My brother and his partner thoroughly enjoyed their lemon chicken burgers! We will be back! Thanks again guys!

I recently visited the Kingfisher pub and I must say, it was a great experience overall. The food was consistently good and I appreciate the fact that I knew exactly what to expect. The staff were professional, friendly and very helpful, making the experience even better. One thing I particularly liked was how the food came out hot, which is always a plus in my book. I also found the meals to be very reasonably priced, which is always a bonus. Overall, the Kingfisher pub is a great place to grab a bite to eat or a drink with friends. The staff are attentive and the food is always good. If you're looking for a place where you know what you're getting and you know it will be good, then the Kingfisher is definitely worth checking out. I would highly recommend this place and would give it a solid four-star review.

Surprisingly good pub. Good crowd in creating decent atmosphere with some good J W Lees beers. No car park despite having the space. You have to park in shopping centre next door which is a bit weird.

You don't expect packet smash to be on your Sunday roast in a restaurant..especially paying their prices. The beef roast wasn't worth the money at all.

No Atmosphere, Staff Clinical, Beer, Flavourless, More like a Cold City Pub, not what You'd expect on a Upmarket Estate in the Heart of Cheshire. I lived on the Estate since 1997 and it's always been the same, which is why I usually go to the Bulls Head, a far nicer Cheshire Pub with Good Food & Good Ale...........

Disgusted. As a regular customer refused entry for a quick pint around 7 pm while waiting for a takeaway as It was ticket only from 7.30. Had takeaway and walked to the bowling green where we were made to feel very welcome. Won't be going back as that's no way to treat people who use the pub all year round versus those that go out to the pub one night a year.

Christmas with santa excellent value for money kids loved it, had an entertainer music and games.staff helpful and friendly, will definitely book next year kids and adults really enjoyed it. Thanks

Good food and service with a nice atmosphere. Menu is a traditional pub menu which I found little light on choice, underwhelming and basic. Priced about right for the area.

My local! Great just to drop in for a pint light snacks or a full meal. Can get crowded at times but there's plenty of outside space.

We booked a table for 16 for our daughter's birthday family meal and from start to finish the process couldn't have gone any easier. We pre ordered to make it easy, and when we arrived everything was ready for us in our own side room so that we could have the dog come in with us. Food was delicious, nice and hot and fresh and very tasty. The staff were super attentive, always checking we had what we needed and even a bowl for the dog came out without us even thinking about it! We would highly recommend the Kingfisher and will definitely book again for our next family outing! Thanks to you all, my daughter had a lovely birthday meal xx
