*Lovely clean hotel *Basic and has all basic equipment ect Walls are thin so can heat lots of noise *Evening meal was amazing, lots of choice and the salad was amazing *Bingo was good fun, but we arrived on a Monday and left on a Wednesday and there was no entertainment (check b4 you go) Thank you

I did not have dinner here during my stay at the Norbreck Castle Hotel only breakfast so therefore my review is based upon Breakfast. Breakfast was average nothing more and certainly not at the standard of a Premier Inn. In fact I would not have paid for it again after the first time had it not been included in my room rate. I always think you can judge a breakfast by the quality of its sausage and I’m afraid to say the sausages were of the cheapest quality- think budget supermarket sausage with I suspect low pork percentage. The scrambled egg was watery which was off putting. Everything else (cooked) was acceptable. I observe there was no vegetarian options for cooked breakfast and companions who were vegetarian felt the same particularly for dinner and expressed disappointment that all weekend they were consuming a very beige and carbohydrate heavy diet due to this There were no selection of pastries and limited fruit/ cereal options, coffee was very poor and I ended up ordering costa via Just Eat. I could not recommend the breakfast at this hotel,

my dad booked a one night stay when up to watch football. The outside i thought, how drab and dreary, looks run down and i had read the reviews. To be honest when i arrived at reception, I was met with a very customer focussed and friendly reception staff. She was really welcoming allowed us to check in early and we went to our rooms which were very clean, yes a little dated but i wasn't expecting five star for the price that we paid. i cannot fault the staff, the breakfast was buffet style again, good standard, staff all working hard as it was very busy. only negative was no red wine or tonic water behind the bar as had ran out! the venue was very busy with coaches and there was cabaret evening entertainment. If you want a very reasonably priced stay and can look past the outside and the old fashioned furniture and carpets that have seen better days, stay here, all the staff can show other places how customer service should be. They all deserve a pay rise!!

terrible cancelled booking and they still took a payment out my bank for a stay we never had. Was told in Blackpool to avoid this hotel as its not at all nice.. phoned to complain was kept on a 13p per min phoneline after talking to a person a was transferred to hotel then kept nearly 20min at 13p per min then line went dead. Con artists. AVOID AT ALL COSTS phoned back a 2nd time next day same 13p per min all they want is to scam your money no refund given

Absolutely appalling place staff even worse it should be closed down , don’t recommend it to everyone at all it is horrible

Bland, dry and not inviting. China was clean but no atmosphere and could hear a pin drop! I would not recommend at all.

If you book a place with the reviews that this place gets and expect something brilliant then you need to do more research. It's not great. Nothing was particularly bad about it though. Very budget. If you just need to get your head down after having a few drinks in Blackpool it's perfect for that.

Many things wrong with the hotel. That got a 1 star review but this is the restaurant. Portions are very small. Vegetarians are not really catered for. Dessert is obviously low quality and chemical tasting. Starter was OK but soup portion VERY small. Main however was of a decent size and quality. That’s the only reason this got 2 stars.

Well. Booked 2 night stay. Ross awesome reception. Im shocked at the state of our rooms. Ive stayed in cleaner hostels in NY. Room stunk of puke. Towels had to be put around door as freezing. Windows had spit marks and god knows what else. Doors are NOT fire safety standard at all. Whole room made us uncomfortable and grubby. Staff fine. We checked out after 1 night. Getting refund for 2nd . Cheap as chips but Im pretty sure covid standard cleans have NEVER been done here. Lookes pretty outside?? Inside not sooooo. Ruined our trip as travelled up from london to visit my dads home townn..sad

I had three evening meals at the Norbreck Castle restaurant, and found them all absolutely gorgeous. The cutlery and plates were clean, the tables were cleared and relaid very quickly and efficiently, the waitstaff were polite and thoughtful, the food was delicious. The range is relatively limited, but that's not really a problem - everything tastes good, and I can almost guarantee there'll be something for everyone. I highly recommend the pork chops and the apple pie if you get the chance!

Great buffet style breakfast , not fancy but very good. It can get busy though, so get in early To beat the crowds.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights. I would say it is cheap and cheerful hotel, with lovely breakfast and friendly staff. The downside to this hotel is the rooms. They were outdated and dirty. The walls are very thin, the man next door woke me up with his snoring. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again, unless room conditions improved to a greater standard.

Although a limited menu the food was good and cooked well the staff were pleasant and helpful and the tables were kept clean.

we were booked for three nights half board in the hotel. The dining room staff were pleasant and attentive, the food was beautifully cooked and what I would term 'homely' I opted for the hotpot one evening, melt in the mouth beef with soft layer of potato with a little crunch to the edges. This was served with roast potatoes and a seasonal veg. There were a selection of cold desserts available. Breakfast was the usual cooked English together with tea/coffee and a choice of cereals and fruit juices. This is not a fast food restaurant nor suitable for a fine dining experience. If, however, you like hearty wholesome food, this is the place.

The Evening meal was amazing,there was so much choice,the chefs did a fantastic job,and the breakfast was just as good,with a whole array of options, from cereal to fresh orange and pinapple ,and two hotplates full of traditional english breakfast food.

I payed £165 for one night to stay at this sh** hole you can get better in the main town for less i would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone for the price I payed i expect better and cleaner and no holes in the walls it was freezing and people knocking the door at two in the morning waking my autistic son up i should have stayed on the beach would have been cleaner and cheaper

Did not check reviews before booking as had stayed here many years ago, BIG MISTAKE as it has seriously gone down hill. Do not be fooled by the lovely lit up picture of the hotel as it is in need of major revamp. Creaky floors, tatty decor and more seriously a 'flannel' left in the bathroom by previous occupants, raising the question, had our bathroom even been cleaned ?. In these worrying times with Covid 19, strict cleaning should be a priority.Idiots running around at midnight knocking on people's doors. At checkout next morning along with others complaining about same we were told by female receptionist, "even if they were, what can we do apart from rounding them all up from that floor, stand them against a wall and shoot them", smiling she then held up her hands and said "I can get someone if you want...but there's nothing we can do.

Its a budget hotel with lots of facility's and history. Sadly people moan about the condition of some rooms and the halls but think what your spending, double that and they would be able to make more improvements. The staff are always friendly and lots about. There is a pub, bar, swimming pool, entertainment spaces, ballroom and a huge events room. Yes the rooms feel like stepping back to the 90s but the bads are always clean and comfy and the breakfast is very hearty. The tram stop to many days out is only across the road and lots of parking. Its budget but does what it says on the tin. Weve been before and will come back.

Where to start good points and there is only one the food is great there Bad points and there lots Needs updating its very old it smells if you like to stay with a bunch of chaves this is the place for you iv stayed in better b@b for £25 a night its not worth £165 a night its not very clean its 30 minutes for blackpool so you have to get the tram all the time its like a hostel I was very disappointed with this place its nothing like the pictures and its very cold

Food is basic and the menu rotated to make it seem varied. Cutlery was dirty. I would recommend visiting other places to eat.

People that I spoke to gave bad reviews on this hotel but I went with an open mind.I enjoyed my stay, yes the hotel is dated but it was clean.There is a swimming pool, small cinema and evening entertainment on site which is great as it would take around 30 minutes to walk to the promenade. Luckily there are tram and bus stops right outside. The beach is over the road, plenty of parking (if you drive) and lifts to each floor.The food was ok, although non meat options weren’t that great and not much choice of accompaniments to the main meal. Breakfast was good, lots provided. I would stay here again as long as you go with the idea that it is basic, then I’m sure you wouldn’t be disappointed.

On arrival we waded through the dog ends and smoke to be greeted by a drab welcoming reception area. Not only was it scruffy and dowdy but the smell of dirty environment was strong.The reception staff were very friendly and attentive. Clearly doing their best for their poor workplace.Our journey to our room was equally dowdy and un kempt. On arrival to our room we only looked through the door to decide no way were we staying there. Scruffy carpets matched the rest of the hotel, barely made beds with sheets hanging off. Cramped and basic. I didn't notice if there was a window or not.Our full refund was dealt with efficiently and with grace immediately. Don't get me wrong, im not a snob, far from it. I expected a guest house/hotel experience not 5* at the Ritz... but this was dreadfull.The price was £99 inc breakfast. I have no idea how that price could be justified.

Heb 2 X 13,5 pond betaald voor wat beloofd was als carvery. Het werd zelf opscheppen van de slop dat deed mij denken aan de bus chauffeurs kantine. Maar dan duurder.

Just return from a very well organised weekend at the Norbreck Castle Hotel. where at least 11 troupes stayed for the weekend. The hotel had the restaurant times organised and the standard and quality of food was excellent for adults and the children. The bars also coped with the amount of clients The hotel look as if they have been improving the rooms with new bathrooms installed and new bedroom carpets. So thank all the staff and also Albert Orme and his helpers for such a lovely weekend and all the children for all their hard work entering the competition.

Food was excellent and very hot thanks to Michelle. We had 3 courses every night proper food not take away menu here, so if you expect nuggets n chips don't eat here.. But like proper meat as this is what you get

The food was amazing, plenty of choice for both breakfast and dinner including vegetarian options, any meat that was cooked was cooked until it was just falling apart - all breast of chicken, no bones

Following on from my horrendous visit to this place the hotel has still to refund our £94 saying it went in DESPITE me showing them bank statements which clearly show it went in and then they immediately took it back. Utter disgrace

On arrival hotel looked shabby compared to the night-time photos on the website.Letter hanging off signage, chipped paint and filthy windows and grass an inch long.Smoking areas hadn't been swept for at least a fortnight,rubbish mountain in every corner.Inside-just as bad,broken light fittings in corridors,bad mould on one wall with a bucket underneath,rubbish all over corridors,which also the bedroom corridor we were on stunk of cannabis and booze,we went in the first room and were so disgusted straight back to reception who did a grudging swap,beds were ok but that was about it! Rest of room furniture broken,drawers and wardrobe doors very dodgy could be dangerous to a child,only one spare plug socket, shower useless,need I go on.Staff were on the whole disinterested I did not see many pleasant happy faces! Food was OK but that was just about,hot and edible but tables were so close together,had to choose what time you had dinner-only 2 options 630 or 7pm.Waiter slammed jug of water on our table because we asked for it as we couldn't see where it was.It was very disappointing as we came to celebrate my friends 60th birthday and I am afraid to say it just didnt come up to standard in any way, the only advantages were that it was next to a tram stop and being north end wasnt too noisy.Never ever again,was glad to get home.Don't go there.

We went here for 2 nights during kids half term break. Nice meals. You could get as much as you wanted. Boys enjoyed the soup and desserts best. We enjoyed not having to cook. Suited our needs. Nice friendly staff and service.

Breakfast....tinned tomatoes, cheap beans, powdered scrambled eggs, plastic sausages, greasy fried eggs, cardboard hash browns, damp floppy toast, cheap tea & coffee....need I go on. Find a Wetherspoons & have breakfast there, better & cheaper.

Tables were clean but very close together but the food was plentiful, hot and adequate. waiters were helpful and quick

Never will I ever go back to this place, booked in to stay for 2 night's but only stayed the one night as it was to dirty there .. When we arrived and got to our room we noticed straight away now dirty it was , empty bottles under the bed , the bathroom looked like it hadn't been clean in literally years , thick dust around the TV ,stains on the bed so we swapped rooms , not that there was any difference just that the room was bigger but still as dirty as the first room , had to buy our own cleaning products in the end to clean the bathroom so we could use it . Fair enough the prices are very cheap but these rooms clearly doesn't get any kind of polish or hoover for months on end . In the corridor when we arrived there was a small bin outside one of the rooms that had something that looked like sick in it and it was still left there when we were leaving. Absolutely vile place do not bother going there..

Good plain simple food, piping hot and helpful staff. We are not talking the Hilton here but it wasn't bad at all.

Its buffet style whether its breakfast or dinner. Breakfast is cereal and/or full english. Dinner consisted of several choices (you can have a bit of everything) and I enjoyed the steak pie one night, the fish one other night and a pork chop in gravy. All supported by chips/boiled spuds and mixed veg. The sweets are outstanding, the chocolate orange slice is especially good.

Good choice of foods, menu is placed on the restaurant door each day so you can see what will be on the menu that evening. A mix of table and self service. Staff are very friendly.

Its 3 miles from the centre of Blackpool but it does have a free large on site car park.

Stayed here for the Crystal Boot Awards. The hotel was full and I fully appreciate that catering for such a large volume of people must be very challenging. The food is edible and fills a hole but it is not the reason to stay here.

It is a little cafe serving afternoon tea, coffees and fast food. The staff are really great and the burgers were really tasty. We only had one meal there but would recommend it

Not à la carte, but good quality food. Very good breakfast and dinner. Good buffet food. I can't rabbit on for 100 characters. You get what you pay for. It's not the restaurant it was in the fifty's but no one is prepared to pay for that type of food and service at a hotel in Blackpool. This is not cheap and cheerful it is better than that.

Massive 20 minute queue to get in, awful service, queue to get food, kids running everywhere, only tea and coffee on one side of restaurant so dangerous walk to get back with drinks - food okay but not great to get it

Hotel is dated, we heard bad reports just before we went. New Years Eve was brilliant, the room, meal and service was excellent the staff worked very hard to make the night so good.

I'd read and heard a lot of reviews about this hotel but still booked it, yes it's dated, yes it's in need of a huge refurb but all in all our room was clean which was all I was bothered about as we spent the majority of our break out and about. The hotel staff were friendly upon arrival, very helpful in letting us leave our bags until check in time. Can't comment on the food as we ate out but for £100 for a 2 night stay for a couple, we had a very nice time :-)

Refused to refund did not even put the suitcases down, Looks like its used as a hostel in the winter? Had to take to court 21.09.2017 and awarded cost and full refund, Really not our style to 1 not want to stay in a hotel at 11pm, and two spend time and money on court costs, These guys are sole traders not a massive hotel chain, That's why you have these issues it's all about the cash, Don't let these guys take advantage of you and your family, Saving to treat your wife or partner, And if you have already been had over and stayed there with your arm up your back, Claim your money back, be relentless and just don't give in,

We stayed here for a rock and roll themed weekend and had a fabulous time, however, this was not due to the hotel itself.

This is a great restaurant. The food is really good. The staff are friendly and helpful. The menu is really good and worth a visit if visiting. Shame this restaurant is not central.

we were shown to a clean laid out table and the staff explained all about the buffet breakfast, which we found very good and freshly cooked

Hotel is dated now needs a refurb! Staying as a family had to pay to use the facilities aswell which we thought would be all included if staying in the hotel but had to pay separate. Can't use card machine for food and drinks either which isn't good! Toilet and bathroom smelt like they hadn't been cleaned for a while. Would not recommend staying here!

When I first arrived we were greeted by snotty staff on reception, I then got to my room and the toilet seat had feaces on it, I had to clean this up myself, the shower had mould on it, there were holes all around the building on the ceilings and walls, all the hotel windows needed a good wash, and the whole building needs its decor redoing even the outside, the hotel looks nothing at all like the pictures shown these pictures must of been taken years ago, this hotel is ok if your going for a night out and only planning to go to sleep there, I went with my family and would never go back there again, only good thing I can say about it was the breakfast was ok

Our coach tour party was able to access the same selection as those paying full price.Sallad bar was perfect, with everythingpasta, potatoes etc. just right

A very basic room which squeezed four of us in not really ideal, rubbish in the corners and under the beds, request for an extra pillow took over 4 hours to be brought to the room, when using the shower because the shower head was broke it was spraying everywhere meaning the floor was covered in water and although there was four of us in the room we only had two towels. The food was ok a reasonable choice but the staff not so attentive.The entertainment was poor a very miserable bingo caller where everything seemed to much effort and the guy who was singing well 4 songs and that's it entertainment over.The hotel is very dated not clean and smells of damp.

Went to a convention which was held at the Norbreck, stayed at a different hotel because I stayed at the norbreck last year, and it was vile, the rooms are absolute filth. it smells of mould. I wouldnt sleep here if you paid me, we had some food at the hotel and it was discusting, made me ill.

We enjoyed the service here even for 1 evening and breakfast. It was lovely being shown to your table and served with your first course. We didn't expect that. A decent choice of main meals and a kids choice as well. Oldest boy enjoyed it as he could choose what he wanted himself. He enjoyed being able to make himself a cup of tea as well as tea was in an urn with tap. It's amazing what pleases some folk. If my kids are happy I am too.

Stayed at this hotel at the week end. Asked for a double bed, got 2 singles went to reception to complain they said just push the beds together, asked for the manager he did not appear. Hotel is dirty, toilets stink. I would never stay there again .

Norbreck Castle Hotel Blackpool, Booked this last minute, 11pm as we were doing a radio rally there, Had just finished unloading the van, On arrival at the room opened the door, Just words fail me really, If you really want to be insulted, And questioned, taken for a ride, and have no standards, Try "Norbreck Castle Hotel Blackpool" We Were told no Money back after we returned straight back to booking in desks,With out even unloading our cloths into the room, Britannia Hotels should be ashamed, I am now chasing the inspectors reports on the last time this was inspected by the health and safety, This really is as bad as it gets, No really that Bad, Do not take young children here, i could go on and on but what's the point "these guys really do not care",This is my first review, And it's unusual for me but i was shocked, Regards

We have been visiting here for three generations and seen many changes. This was a great improvement. Although very busy the restaurant was well run and food on buffet replenished quickly and efficiently. Quality of food was good, always fish, chicken, red meat options with well prepared vegetables. Desserts were outstandingly delicious.We all enjoyed the visits

the hotel is that bad I will not stay there any more food rubbish staff rubbish its not clean windows you can not see out of I have not got a good word for it from the top to the lower end of the staff windows screwed fast wash hand basin to low its ok if you are small if you are tall you have had it same with the toilet its to low for330 each that's what it cost us you would better going to a broading house the big men who owen this hotel do no care about you

terrible, at best bland--yes they are catering for large numbers but it must be just as hard to serve hard yet soggy toast as to do it properly--why not let the customers have the option to toast their own---and no reason not to have fried eggs other than laziness.

We stayed at the Norbreck Castle for 4 nights prior to a flight to the Canaries and to visit relatives. I have been fortunate enough to stay at many hotels throughout the UK and can honestly state without fear of contradiction this is the WORSTE place I have ever visited (and I 've seen hundreds of repossessed hotels in Blackpool in my working career). We were given a "windowless room " along a corridor that reeked of vomit and urine. It became clear why it was so rancid, when later in the evening two down and out gentlemen wearing little more than very smelly and stained rags shambled back to rooms they were clearly residing in long term. I have since been advised that the " Hotel" are filling their numerous vacant rooms with DSS or indigent visitors. I dont care that the rooms are cheap or that other guests dismiss their negative experiences as being "you get what you pay for"..... no room at the Norbreck Castle is worth paying for. It is an absolute disgrace and it should not advertise itself as a Hotel when it is little more than an HMO. Do not under any circumstance book accommodation here. Do yourself a favour and stay home. A visit here is not a holiday

The Castle restaurant is not much to look at,with chairs in dining room weighing a ton and you are in danger of a rupture if you lift them without care.Food in there is only average.

I have to say, not worth even contemplating a look at. Not as cheap as you would hope.Limited timings available. What really put me off, staff wiping down the tables with J Clothe and then stuffing in trouser pocket, most look scruffy, over worked and generally not interested in being there. Manager and supervisor spent more talking to each other or checking their phones during service....

My husband and I went for two nights over my birthday (18 - 19 November), the place was freezing it was like sitting in New Street Train Station! everyone was wearing woolies, coats and hats. I couldn't believe that at least 50 paying customers were queuing up outside waiting for a table when there were so many people inside the 'canteen' who had finished eating but sat there chatting, staff not even saying anything to them about the need for the tables! from arrival, I couldn't get a coffee because of the queues at the bar and at breakfast, so on the night we ordered double brandy's to warm us up at £7 each, and I am tea total, but we were so cold it didn't even give the warm feeling you get on its way down. As someone else has mentioned on here, breakfast was a free for all, it was like plonking a load of food in the middle of animals and by the time you got your food and little drinks, then toast everything was cold but what was really noticeable was that the food was tasteless and no fried eggs to wet it up. Staff were not bothered and customers were pushy and rude. Even though we paid up front for the breakfasts, we never went back the second day.

Stayed here for three nights. When we arrived we were told what time we would be allowed in the restaurant to eat and that we had to book a time after breakfast each morning. We arrived at the restaurant about half an hour before it was due to open to have a drink in the neighbouring bar and there was already quite queue for food. About five minutes before the doors were opened there was a crowd and the minute the doors opened they surged forward. We were shown to a table and had bowls of thin mushroom soup plonked in front of us. The remainder of the meal was self-service from a large bain-marie. The plates were really hot and there was plenty of food laid out and there needed to be. There were three different meat and one fish main course and it was unbelievable that some people were putting one of everything on their plates. The choice of vegetables was limited and rather overcooked and there were only deep fried "roast" potatoes. The pudding course consisted of several cold desserts. I went for apple pie and cream but found that the cream was either well watered down single cream or just plain milk. After that we had ice cream on our sweets as that couldn't be doctored!At no time was the food outstanding, the potatoes were the same every day, the vegetables were always overcooked and the sweets were the same each day. One evening the menu was promising asparagus soup and when it arrived it was totally colourless - looking more like a grey gruel - and with hardly any flavour whatsoever.Breakfast was also a free for all and if you were luck you could get a fired egg but if you weren't by the tray when it was refilled from the kitchen you didn't get one.All very reminiscent of a 1950s -1960s holiday camp - especially being told when you could eat!

Stay away service terrible room terrible hotel falling apart. The only good thing we're bar prices very fair.

Stayed for one night here the room is OK clean but needs a lick of paint and general overhall. Had to ask for towels .staff freindly.. does have a slight smell but nothing unbearable.. possibly would come back but would try else where 1st as booked last minute

DO NOT BOOK HERE!! customer service atrocious, given wrong key on arrival to a room occupied, we were moved and after a evening out in Blackpool the maid in the morning decided to enter our room whilst we were in bed, the maid entered at 09.05 we had the room until 10.30. After several complaints to Britannia hotels they have offered me a room at a preferred rate of which i have refused twice, i have now be told that is the end of the matter. Customer service does not exist with this company.......absolutely shocking. There are cheaper hotels in Blackpool with better service. My advice stay well clear!!!

Don't bother staying at this place,dirty out of date most un comfortable beds EVER..staff in food hall terrible..don't know why they bother turning up because first thing in morning you don't want looking at miserable staff who won't even say good morning back to you,it's has bad on the inside has it is on the outside

Me and my girlfriend just got back yesterday from our second trip to the Norbreck and we no complaints whatsoever and feel that the bad reviews it gets are completely un-warranted.The hotel is a bit run down in places but with the size of the hotel and sheer number of rooms, it's no surprize really, It has a lot of character, warmth and the staff are great.Our room (as last time) was clean and tidy, as were the public areas and bar etc and the pool/ sauna/ Jacuzzi area is just awesome!Also, it's exceptional value for money. You couldn't even stay in a tiny, crummy B&B for what we paid.Highly recommended.

Just ok really, nothing out of the ordinary food wise. Drinks are a bit overpriced but they have a good selection to choose from.

Had 2 nights at hotel and had half board. Not to impressed with evening meal seemed a bit limited to choice being a vegetarian there weren't too many choices.The breakfast was non too clever. There was no fresh fruit and the choices for cereal was very limited.No choice of brown bread toast unless it was requested.Again no vegetarian option for the hot breakfast ie no omelette option?Maybe I'm expecting too much!No I don't think so Coffee had an after taste of metal from the urn? We all commented on it!So of to Costa straight after.Not recommended

Castle cafe was 2 years since my last visit still in a little corner plastic knifes & all table ware the food? Was the same plastic taste went to cafe at back of hotel open from 7 am till 1 o'clock hot fresh food made on grill

stayed for i night thank goodness,hotel very dirty,glass doors and windows need a good cleaning,there are two bars,one for families and supposidley one for adults after 8 oclock,went in at 9oclock,children running amock,the foyey and corridors were over run with children,no idea where there parents were,cant say about the food we didnt eat here,bedroom very small for a doubleroom but the bed was comfortable,wouldnt stay again it was bedlum

We stayed Friday to Sunday and paid in advance for meals. There was a good range of choice. Would eat there again.

We stopped here and paid for breakfast and it was excellent, everything was cooked well and all the food was hot, you cannot ask for more than that :)

I booked to stay here with my family, and we booked for bed, breakfast and evening meal. The food was disgusting, and the staff were VERY rude!! They were too busy trying to set up for the next meal time (E.G: At breakfast, they were getting tables ready for the evening meal). One member of staff kept giving me and my family 'dirty looks' and generally makiing us feel uncomfortable! There was food on the floor which someone had spilt, and it hadn't been picked up! I would NEVER eat here again. The restaurant was too small for wheelchair access, and everyone was squished in. I have never experienced meal times like it!! Upon complaining to the manager of the service I had just received, his reply was 'What do you want me to do about it?!' AMAZING SERVICE... NOT!!!

We had the breakfast here and the evening meal. The breakfast is buffet style and ver good. Nice and hot as the plates are warmed. The evening meal was very good too 5 choices for the main. Starter was either salad or soup. My husband had the soup which was very good. I had the salad which was basic but good. The main were buffet style we had the curry and the Somerset pork, both were delicious. Staff very nice and we enjoyed it and would definitely return.

Food was ok! Service was quick in that respect but that was about the best thing! Wedding room was pritty bad! Cracked picture frames with random painted walls that would only work if every bridesmaid wore peach or terracotta. The bar price in the room was extortionate! Double gin was over £8! Went to the other bar in the hotel where the bar staff were rude and not very helpful! Danielle was the worst when i had to ask her to serve me! (Only person waiting) but was more interested in her phone! No please or thank you and when i questioned that its polite when bartending she replied with "im a s#%t bartender" This place has not changed over the years and definitely contributes to why people only come to Blackpool once! As a local i expected more from a hotel of this size!

I'm truly sorry to write a bad review but unfortunately I just have to warn people away from this hotel. I feel sorry for the staff that work there and I admire them for trying there best. But the hotel is falling to bits. And the facilities and food are woeful. Shame, could be such a wonderful hotel if someone invested in it.

I could never eat In this hotel again,, the evening meal consists of packet watery soup, main course dry chicken hard boiled potatoes and frozen peas and carrots,, the breakfast wasn't nice at all I ended up just eating with outside the hotel

all of these reviews and negative well guess what mine is not!I have visited this hotel 3 times now it will be my fourth time this month .when we got of the national holidays coach what took 5 hours including a stop of station .we went to sign in at the reception and we got our room straight away when we got to our room there was a lovely kingsize bed whitch was very comfy we hadclean sheets, bedding,curtains , and curtains our bath/shower was so mclean the mirrow was immaculate and the maid cleaner cleaned your room evry day.STAFF The staff at this hotel were so kind , you could not say thankyou enough they always smiled at you always asked if your enjoying your stay and if there was any problems with your room they changed you to a different room with a sea view they're so helpful.FOODwhen you go for breakfast and tea there is a little que which you could expectwith the size of the hotel the food is delicious for the pool spa jecuzzie I would give it a 4 star I will deffinetly be going back this month I love it try going out on a tram where you buy the tickets from the back of the hotel at a small shop THEY ARE NOT EXPENSIZE . go to the sandcastle waterpark. just go on holiday all you can do is try it out.

Stayed here as going to a funeral nearby, was like a cattle market for dinnre and breakfast never saw anything like it you where herded in and the queue was outside the resturant and you waited ages to actually get a seat when you did they rushed you to finish and get someone else in your seat

I have already reviewed the hotel on there other page on here we all enjoyed our breakfasts sausages were really nice. Yes the breakfast room is packed but what do you expect from a hotel of that size. CARNT WAIT FOR OUR NEXT VISIT

Please do not book into this hotel if you want to sleep on beds that have stains on and pillows with stains on then go ahead the rooms are outdated and truly grubie my pillows had saliver stains and sweat stains on my duvet had urine stains on and also my matress protector there was also a skid mark and blood stain on my matress protector pubic hairs in the bed aswell as in the shower, sink and also around the toilet. I complained to the manager and he basicly said its a budget hotel. I went with one of my residents who has learning disabilities and mental health problems she is also gluten free I got told be reception when checking in that all the breakfast is gluten free after a horrible nights sleep as was worried what I was going to catch we went for breakfast I asked the chef where the gluten free breakfast was to be told that there are no gluten free breakfast if we need gluten free breakfast then we have uk bring our own gluten free food in and they will cook it I asked why he said its s budget hotel so basicly poor hygiene poor service and poor management but it appears to be because it's a budget hotel . There were lots of people leaving and complaining about the state of the hotel, the rooms and the food no one cares what guests want or need u e complained to the ceo of Britannia hotels but no response I will be going further as this hotel needs to be shut down
