Dutton Arms in Blackpool

My family and I are on holiday here and tried this pub before when we came up last year and the food staff and atmosphere is always impeccable can’t fault it staff are friendly

No student deals allowed here (but use the mixr app?!?!) Had a pint and a double voddy, immediately violated the cubicle (poo - runny)

Dog friendly....food was lovely a variety to choose from great price too. Staff nice very helpful.....

My partner had steak and Ale pie, I had pigs in blankets yorkshire pudding. Absolutely disgusting. Potato's were cold and looked as if they'd been scraped of someone's plate. Cumberland sausage.well it was the poorest thing I've ever has. Women behind the bar, long dark hair. Missing teeth, total disgrace, horrible ignorant woman

Nice welcoming pub, friendly staff, good for watching sports, food served located between central and south piers reasonably priced

A Bunch of rip off merchants a pint of wainrights bitter and a bag of plain crisps only £7.35 complained and was told it was a honest mistake it's only £3.35 and was told we will reverse the original transaction lol still waiting for refund Santa will retire before I get my money back. So far a beer and a packet of plain crisps has cost me £10.50 great night out in Blackpool if you go here only pay in cash and then you can query the transaction I paid on card never again

Dog friendly bar. The staff are amazing and very welcoming to dog owners.

Great pub with friendly staff. Must be the cleanest pub on Blackpool's promenade. Food is very good value for money. It's not Michelin Star quality but it doesn't claim to be. We had the Mix Grill and Steak&Ale pie. Steak on the mixed grill was cooked just as I requested which is usually a reach too far for most pub chef's.

A nice looking and welcoming pub. Reasonable prices. Good for watching sports. The food was very nice, well cooked and tasty, but like others have said in their reviews, nobody cleared the table despite food being brought to other tables in the same area.

Came in as a group of 11 on Sunday at 4pm. We’d booked a table for the Liverpool game to have some food before taking the kids to Christmas by the sea. They’d made sure our table was near a TV. The service was on point and the atmosphere was great. Grant & Caz were really friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and arrived quickly. Great start to our evening and we will definitely be back when in the area again. Thanks so much.

Food was poor, i had a mixed grill, tasted horrid, like the char grill had never been cleaned, just tasted burnt, sausage was so overcooked i could of smashed my plate with it, chips were nice and the egg was nice, wife had a burger meal and said it was tasteless, also had an issue where they brought the wrong food out for my wife so she had to wait longer overall unless your not eating i would avoid

Vinimos a tomar una copa o dos porque parecía muy acogedor desde el exterior. Fue encantador y cálido en una noche de noviembre muy fría. La zona del bar estaba impecable, al igual que los baños. No comimos, pero vimos que se llevaba comida a las mesas vecinas y se veía muy bien. El personal era muy amable, respondiendo a las preguntas que teníamos sobre la comida. El servicio era rápido, las bebidas estaban frías, el ambiente era genial. Muchas pantallas con varios espectáculos deportivos. No demasiado ruidoso que pudimos mantener una conversación sin necesidad de gritar. Volveremos la próxima vez que visitemos Blackpool.

A great visit, to a lovely pub. The food was lovely, there's a good selection of drinks available to choose from, and the staff were very helpful, and courteous. The most important thing, in my opinion at least, is the fact the place is dog friendly. The view from the front is just the cherry on top 😍 EDIT: Came back on another day, for an evening meal. The food again was delicious, and the staff were also helpful and courteous once more.

We ate at the dutton arms the food was terrible overcooked and the plates stayed on.the table for 2 hours nobody asked us how our meal was and we have complained too.the company they don't care about the customer as we was told it was there busiest night off the year since eating in.the dutton.arms me and my wife have been very unwell don't recommend too anyone going out for a meal in this place absolutely rubbish food won't be going back

Popped in for a quick drink with the family staff was rude no manners miserable. Not one smile behind the bar on mobile phones and drinking red bull.. don't think we would be coming in again whilst in Blackpool

Girl behind the bar with brown hair and glasses was the rude person I’ve ever met. Shame. Came in about 10:40. Avoid.

Great spot on the promenade. Staff were polite and welcoming. Food was excellent quality. Clean, tidy and great views of the promenade.

Excellent burger and great value for money

Visited on Friday afternoon 25 October. The Dutton Arms holds a Casque Marque. Asked for a pint of Wainwright, the only real Ale showing out of two hand pulls. The member of staff tested and calmly announced there was no Ale on. I left. This is not the first time I have visited in recent years but it is becoming more frequent there is no Ale is being served here. Very disappointed

Surprised that this once decent pub now is essentially a dogs home. You cannot enjoy a pint and watch the game in here now as its full of dogs barking incessantly. I hope they've got good liability insurance, I'd recommend sueing the owners if your so much as stratched by one, oh and remember to get a tetanus jab too! Enjoy.

Waited 40 minutes to be then given the wrong meal..Wouldn't go again..Just being honest

A nice enough looking place, staff friendly. Ordered food and wasn't told there would be any sort of big delay, only found out when someone came from the kitchen to inform the server, 40 minutes, fair enough. Another couple enquired about the delay in getting their food as I was ordering and was told it was a busy pub and they'd just have to wait, bit of tact would have went a long way. Food arrived and it was very sub standard, mixed grill was the worst I've had in sorry to say, chicken dish not much better, kids had burgers which they seemed to like, fish was dry and tasteless with the fish and chips. Pub wasn't particularly busy when we were ordering, about 7pm. Sure it could be nice, nice inside, menu pics look good, staff not overly friendly....maybe should have went to one of the other...many choices.

Food came in a very short time, well presented and hot. Staff we're very friendly and couldn't do enough if you wanted anything.

Barely a handful of people in as late afternoon,so timed it right,as leaving got busier, lovely meal had by all,staff very pleasant,ideal place to watch sports .

The Dutton Arms lies on the South Shore in close proximity to the south pier. It is on the main road and features a front beer garden consisting of picnic style tables, sited on artificial grass, shielded from the pavement with clear glass partitions. This area could be made a lot more attractive as it lets the first impression of the pub down from street view. A shame due to inside being good. The bar and eating areas are very spacious. Split into semi-open areas, with TV's showing sport. Food is available and offers on certain meals make this an attractive alternative to others in the near vicinity. Menus are simple and easy to understand, staff did know what was available and did give you the best options. Saying this, during busier times, it was a chore to get served. The bar and eating areas (no eating outside due to sea gulls) are clean and tidy. The toilets are either downstairs for ladies or upstairs for gents (over a dozen stairs). These are clean, well maintained, modern and to a good standard. Bar prices are what you'd expect for a bar on a seafront. On the whole, a great alternative to other run down pubs or 'chain' bars and worth a visit for a family meal.

Excellent food portion size was huge! I had mixed grill and this is the first time I couldn't finish a mixed grill. Great price and excellent quality. In comparison to wetherspoons this is premier league and wetherspoons is non league.

Food was Excellent very good Atmosphere as well Had our Lunch there for 6 people we all really annoyed our food as well everyone said how lovely the food was 2 people with us we met that day but 4 of us went back the next morning to order our breakfasts which were also lovely excellent 5 star food !!!

Stonegate pub lovely and clean food really good service quick and attentive would recommend it is really clean and bright and airy, it's just a shame that all stonegate pubs were like this one,will be back

Great sports pub had 3 different football matches on in different parts of thd pub. Good menu. We chose a sharing platter which was cooked well and ample as a meal. Nice friendly staff and good atmosphere. Welcomes well behaved dogs from what we could see.

We arrived in Blackpool and was the first place we came to getting off the tram near our hotel, staff where exceptional food was above par and pub seemed clean and well looked after, we went back a further 3 times on our trip and found the same each time no issues friendly family environment and food was more than adequate for the price many thanks

In Blackpool on the 17/08/24 walked into the Dutton Arms for a drink and the service from the barmaids was bad. They looked at you like you shouldn't even be in there no smiles nothing just a stern face absolutely horrible experience. Will never be returning to this place ever again.

A decent and large pub, great pub garden at the front to view the promenade and a good link pub from South Shore to the main Central area. Bit pricey though!

Had tea after full day on the on PB with 2 sleepy kids. One of few places with nice atmosphere, pretty quick service (even when busy), nice simple pub meals in Blackpool. One of our regular places when visit

The food was excellent but they allow dogs and it seems that the only dogs they allow are loud ones and this doesn’t help when we have an autistic son who lates loud noises but the staff are inconsiderate enough to allow them to stay when they are barking every 5 seconds. We tried to go outside to see if it was a bit quieter but the only things we could see were noisy dogs messing about. It ruined my experience completely. Disgraceful.

Amazing food 10/10 mixed grill and chicken and bacon burger extra onion rings and cheesy garlic bread all spot on. Bar staff and atmosphere great thoroughly enjoying would definitely recommend 👌

Came here on a Friday afternoon with my husband. Nice seating area outside, which was fairly busy as there's not many places to sit along the seafront anymore and just have a quiet drink. Didn't eat here but saw quite a few people going inside for food and drinks. The toilets are nice and clean too!!

The Big Breakfast was great the waiting times can be improved by maybe a sign with waiting times estimate especially for location And Grant's attitude wasn't very friendly which is not great for the customer hence the one star reduction Can do your order from the table which is handy

We stopped here on a Sunday morning for breakfast. We couldn’t get the app to work for ordering from the table. Anyway the breakfast was really nice and perfectly cooked. The tea was perfect but the latte was pretty awful. Still we will be back on our next trip to Blackpool

Went for lunch with our great uncle,and our dog. All made very welcome by the staff. Nice food at reasonable prices. We could relax and chat and look out to the sea.

Pleasant local pub to enjoy views of the prom in the sun and people watching 👀 Not so great when the hen and stag parties rock up! But funny to watch.

Great atmosphere food was as expected and was enjoyed and arrived quickly! The staff were all friendly and helpful staff , I would like personally highlight the young blonde girl Laura for her exceptional service she is a breath of fresh air very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. She made us all feel very comfortable and had the whole tribe laughing! Excellent experience overall! We will return!

Went there for food with a new puppy as, it was dog friendly BUT ,was far too loud for dog & couldnt hear myself think!!

Food very disappointing ordered the big fish and chips ! Fish not good no butter with the bread ordered cappuccino got plain coffee won’t be back !!

Came here for lunch on my wifes 50th Birthday as she loves Blackpool for Pat's Bingo and the ice creams but we always come here for food. As usual food great, service great and staff very friendly and helpful even if I did confuse us all with my order, everything was sorted and my error corrected. Thanks for being so great as always.

Just a quick visit for a pint, we'd walked from our B&B up near Gynn Square and I think I deserved a pint. Unfortunately, no Smiths or Guinness, so had a European Lager.

Big ale house with a good selection of drinks and food. Downstairs for the ladies, upstairs for the gents. Good outside seating area.

Nice family friendly place nice outside garden area and food was reasonable price unfortunately found a hair in one of our burgers but was compensated with free drinks and an apology (thank you kerry) which was good enough for me we will definitely return for drinks

Called in for some food after it was recommended to us by a friend and we weren't disappointed. The BBQ Mac Burger was really good and tasty. My partner had the chicken burger and she enjoyed it as well. We're going back to Blackpool in December and we will go to the Dutton Arms again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
