Gynn Pub & Restaurant in Blackpool

October 30th 31st Thanks for letting me and my little dog in for dinner the last 2 nights . Food great bar staff very friendly and very dog friendly as well. Good choice of drinks and food and not over priced. Thanks.

Lots wrong with this place. It definitely needs a revamp, but that's up to Thwaites to invest money into it, especially the ladies' toilets. Disgraceful. Without too much detail, some had no seats on them! The carpets are well worn and filthy, but the welcoming you receive is lovely. CAMRA discount on beers, dog friendly and there's even an offer of thirds (ie. 3 thirds of a pint on a holder in order to taste all the beers). The food was good and bad. The hot dog in a roll with onions was dire, the pizza was very large and, although simple, very tasty with plenty of cheese. The Manageress came over to us and chatted and was great. The staff work hard. The ale BTW was excellent!

We went here for the two nights we were on holiday. I have been in each time we visit Blackpool. We went as a family of seven. Both nights we had fabulous meals. On the Saturday evening 21st September. We were served our meals by a,lovely young girl. She was attentive and so friendly. Ive forgotten her name think it was Shannon. A credit to you pub

During our stay in Blackpool we decided to have a crack at this pub/restaurant down the road from where we were staying, after consulting their menu online and finding a variety of foods we would enjoy as a family. We arrived to a rather quiet restaurant and entered through the car park, through the pub area itself into quite a large purpose-built restaurant area. Our server was a lovely young man who was very thorough in taking our orders and offering us plenty of custom choices for the meals. I ordered sausage and mash, which was a beautiful Cumberland sausage on creamy mash with garden peas and a generous amount of gravy, and onions. It was a lovely meal, and the food the rest of my family ordered was well received also. There was not one complaint, besides the fact that we may have ordered too much garlic bread. We had an entire 12” garlic pizza bread to try and put away between us, as well as our meals. We literally didn’t want to leave anything behind. I will definitely be back again, next time I am in Blackpool, and I definitely recommend this place.

Great hearty food and friendly staff. Had the house burger, which came with an ample portion of chips .Not far from the town centre.

What a dump! The place was dirty. Myself and my daughter both ordered a hotdog, we received a deep fried breakfast sausage in stale bread, the amount of bar flies around the food area and bar goes to show they dont clean their pump lines, i complained and the manager didn’t even speak to me, they just sent their staff member out and offered a free drink or dessert, i refused to pay for the food and left

Good location, fast service, friendly staff, great food which is well priced, haven’t used the toilets but I’ve seen bad reviews about this previously, but this is a really good place.

I would highly recommend the Gynn Pub and Restaurant. I was there in July 2024 and the food was lovely and reasonably priced. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly to me and delayed the meal until I injected myself with insulin.

Worst pub I n Blackpool horrible over priced food staff rude wouldn't ever go here again. We live in Bognor Regis and if a pub was run like this in our town it would be closed down.

My sister ordered mac and cheese as a main and she was given a child's portion, didnt fill her up at all and had to get more food because she was still hungry. The bottom of the bowl was full of oil and grease, like it's been cooked in the microwave, absolutely disgusting!! I ordered the soup and 'roll', I was given one piece of the very end of a roll. I had to ask for some actual roll and was then being charged £3 for extra!! We weren't given any knives with our food either, shocking service. We brought all this to the managers attention, she was very, very rude and said "can you just hurry up and pay because I've got a busy bar" we explained we were very unhappy and shouldn't be charged expensive rates for such little food or spoken to in a rude manner. She didn't care and didn't offer to bring down the price either. The only reason it's given one star is because the waitors were lovely. But I would definitely avoid going here if you want fresh food and decent portions unless you want tapas and rude staff. I'll never be going here again!

Lovely family friendly pub & restaurant..we visited here for our sons birthday while visiting Blackpool the food and staff were wonderful! I have a 6 month old baby who they brought bubbles for and sweets for my older son for his birthday!Lovely waitress who served us I didn’t catch her name but she made the experience of dining with small kids so pleasant Thanks so much! Went with my husband and Stardust[Border Terrier] last night for a few drinks and from the moment we got in we were made to feel very welcome by the staff,although it was not very busy there is a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.I decided to have some food and went with the cheese and bacon burger.All I can say is wow ,what a great burger,the chips lovely,nice fresh side salad,We will definitely be going back to try some more of their fantastic food that is excellent value for money,hot,fresh and homemade,a rare find now a days! Thank you, to the staff for your excellent customer service.I wish we had somewhere like this back home in Hull!

Wow, what an amazing place to go for a meal. We were staying at The Savoy hotel, but wasn't keen on their menu. We decided to go to this pub & we were amazed at the food. It was fabulous. Both my partner & myself had the sirloin steak....cooked perfectly. Our 16yr old had the steak & ale pie...gorgeous. If you are staying in Blackpool this definately worth going to!!

Visited The Gynn while having a short break away for our Anniversary, it was our last night before leaving and how we wish we had found this place earlier. After looking at the menu and being set on what I was going to have, once we arrived and saw the specials board I changed my mind and chose something unusual for me and out of my comfort zone. When the food arrived it looked delicious and tasted better, and also a decent price. The staff were also a pleasure, welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend this pub/restaurant for anyone visiting Blackpool.

The food here is out of this world. Honestly, I've eaten in so many places, but this has been the best The service is impeccable. The couple that run The Gynn have had it 6 years, and they have turned this friendly pub into a must go to restaurant and friendly family pub. The prices are low, the quality is exceptionally high. I highly recommend to anyone wanted proper food, not just a cheap and cheerful experience. Well done all. ❤️

Tried this pub on a Saturday lunchtime while in Blackpool and was very please that I did. I went to the bar and ordered an extra-large house burger which came with chips and salad and a pint of cider. My order was taken and after a relatively short wait the food arrived. The food seemed reasonably priced, not cheap, but not over-priced either. To my surprise the portion size genuinely, lived up to the label of 'XL' and both the burger and chips were absolutely delicious! Will certainly be visiting again, next time I'm in Blackpool.

A nice place to visit . A little run down and rather expensive for drinks. A sports bar with various areas. Menu was ok and reasonable. Very quiet when i visited which is a shame

Amanda and the team are amazing at The Gynn! We visit Blackpool every year and this is one of favourite places. Service is fabulous and the food is fantastic! Amanda even went out of her way to cater for a different dessert for one of our party. Food was all served together and piping hot. Great little venue!

Food good wifes fish a bit greasy my food was lovely ,manager really great and attentive, really nice bloke he notice the wife was stuggling due to the heat, he opened the doors and moved us next to the door.we have several times to this place usualy good.
