I don’t normally do reviews and hate being negative but I really had to tonight. I’ve been here a few times and it’s been okay, just convenient really. Tonight the manager who was in, wow! He was just so blunt and rude, made my partner feel that uncomfortable he didn’t want to ask him for a drink so waited to see another member of staff, I just think for a manager you should be welcoming so it’s a nice atmosphere and it felt awful. The food wasn’t the best either it was really dry and gravy watery, another table next to us actually said the same. If there was another manager in I would have mentioned something to them but felt too uncomfortable saying anything to the other manager so unfortunately had to spend about 80£ tonight for us all on rubbish food and drinks which we was looking forward to :( sorry for the negative feedback but I suppose he needs to know his attitude wasn’t nice at all and again, the other table looked at us and shook head as they noticed it too, shocking really! The lady waiter though was so lovely and helpful and the man waiter is lovely, he’s always so helpful and polite! Won’t be coming back now, we all have bad days but talking to customers like that as a manager when asked simple questions about how we get the food and drinks etc is just awful

Had Christmas dinner here the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful.will definitely go again

Always feel comfortable going in by myself, foods always quite good and warm, I don't like cold food.

We booked for breakfast with santa and was a little disappointed that it's cost so much and the santa bless him didn't look like he wanted to be there didn't feel festive 😔 😕 and the food was dripping in oil ewww

Absolutely lovely. We went at lunchtime, and had the carvery. Delicious, Absolutely huge Yorkshire puddings, piping hot veg, all very very tasty. Sticky toffee pudding to follow, plate-lickingly good. The service was ace, will definitely go again.

After a palaver finding somewhere to charge the car, we found Toby’s had two electric chargers. Whilst the car charged, we thought it would be wise having something to eat as we also had a rather restless 1 year old with us. The only problem was that we also had the dog too and it’s so hard to find dog friendly places to eat. Not to worry though, they welcomed us all and we had a lovely Sunday roast whilst the dog was spoilt with biscuits from the staff. Definitely recommend.

Walked in to have a carvery, seen the dried up meat and grey looking veg and walked back out. Wouldnt recommend wasting your time at this one.

Main reason came here was took dogs never been to a Toby that does! They have a whole eating area seperated from main restaurant for dogs. Food was great had festive deal with desert that was good to staff friendly good value when next in Blackpool won’t hesitate to come again or get a Deliveroo delivered

I went for a lunchtime meal with a friend, the staff were straightaway very friendly, making sure we had everything we needed and chatting to us like we were regulars. This was our first time here. The food was lovely, although the red cabbage was a bit dry for me and the roast potatoes were also a bit dry for me, but that could be just down to my tastes. Other than that, a totally brilliant experience, would absolutely go again.

Had the lamb wasn't much meat left on the leg of lamb when it was being carved. Was dry so it probably had been stood on the carvery for a while Mashed potato was very sloppy. Wasn't worth the money. Won't be eating there in the future

Popped in for an impromptu carvery on the way home from from some Christmas shopping. Very friendly service particularly Chris who was very cheerful and friendly. Dinner and drinks for less than £30 and a better than normal choice of potatoes and vegetables. The beef was excellent and a very generous portion. Been to a few local carvery and this was one of the best in the area. Thoroughly recommended.

Really enjoyed our stop here. me and my colleague were greeted by very friendly and attentive staff. We had a couple of pints to wash down our large plates. The meat was moist and flavourful and the veg was perfect - the roasties were very crispy! A massive thanks to the staff of this Toby from the two fellas in the rather large vehicles! Hope to see you again soon!

Will never go back here food was the worst I have had at Toby carvery. The staff was the made us laugh as no mashed potatoes had one staff member saying 2 minutes it took 7 minutes to come out gravy was like water.

What can I say it's a Toby. You find what you would expect. Food was fresh and top up regularly when was there. We had breakfast and tea and coffee. Everything was satisfactory.

Was really busy when we arrived due to special promotion. However all the staff were friendly and attentive despite being really busy. Food was very good and great value for money. We'd be happy to visit again when we are in the area.

All lukewarm and missing the roasties and cauliflower cheese. Yorkies rock hard. Bit meh.

Lovely place to share a family meal or with friends, lovely staff

Food wasn't hot at all except fried egg which we had to wait for.

Great place for the food lovers. It was quite busy when we went there, the breakfast buffet is worth it, hot breakfast served until 11:00 am but you gotta reach latest by 10:45 inorder to get the buffet offer.

Queued to get our meal, meats looked very dry, the pork was all dried up, but was still cut in bits and put onto a customer's plate, no slices, a lot of the vegetables dishes were empty and not replaced in the 15 mins we were in the queue waiting, one customer had to take the lid off cauliflower cheese as previous dish had run out, staff coming and going in and out of kitchen but only getting plates, no mash potatoes available again, the previous 3 visits over the last year has been no mash. At one point the carver went into the kitchen and was gone nearly 10 mins before coming back with a new turkey joint, but no signs of getting new pork joint, by the time we were nearly there to get served, roast potatoes had run out as well as some other vegetables but no staff checking In the end we gave up and asked for our money back, there was no way that £30 was worth the quality of food that was offered. Extremely disappointed will definitely not be returning again

Great food and welcome from the staff. Decor dated and a bit if a battle fir tea and coffee, but really, nothing to complain about.

Me alojé en Blackpool la semana pasada y pedí la entrega en el parque de vacaciones local y desafortunadamente no toda la comida llegó y me dieron una etiqueta en la bolsa que dijo que siento mucho que no hay puré de patata disponible... . No estaba muy contenta, pero no importa que me dieran verduras extra que eran col roja y brotes, así que hice lo mejor de un mal negocio... Aquí estamos una semana más tarde estoy de vuelta en la misma casa de vacaciones sin puré ni patatas y solo un pudín de Yorkshire para dos comidas... ¡Nada de verduras extra agradables como repollo o brotes para equilibrarlo nada! Así que he gastado 40€ y no he tenido dos comidas decentes en 8 Y así que he tenido que llamar y poner una queja! Para tener a su miembro del personal al teléfono esta noche, dígame que necesita una máquina de Alemania para arreglar su problema de puré de patatas es tomar la aplicación absoluta Mick! ! ! ! ! ! ¿Era mi local local Toby Carvery? I stayed in Blackpool last week and ordered delivery to local holiday park and unfortunately not all the food arrived and I was given a sticker on the bag that said I’m very sorry there is no mash potato available…. I wasn’t particular happy, but never mind they did give me extra veg which was red cabbage, and sprouts so I made the best of a bad deal… Here we are a week later I am back in the same holiday home no mash no potatoes and only one Yorkshire pudding for two meals… No extra nice veg such as cabbage or sprouts to balance it out nothing! So £40 I’ve spent and not had two decent meals in 8 And so I’ve had to ring and place a complaint! To have your staff member on the phone tonight, tell me that you need a machine from Germany to fix your mash potato problem is taking the app absolute Mick!!!!! Was this my local local Toby Carvery? This would not have stood and the staff would’ve solved the problem. Just because some of us are here on holiday does not mean our standards have dropped. I gave you a huge second chance tonight and you have let me down and cost me more money

My Ma is an occasional regular with my sister. The staff know them well and vice versa. Personally I have been there to celebrate my Ma's birthday and I see the shared love between staff and my Ma. Top drawer x

Family of two adults two children booked for 6pm this evening, greeted with a smile and had great service from Chris. He was very attentive and made everyone seem welcome and nothing too much of a bother. He explained the voucher we could use and what this includes. The food was plentiful and we were able to take some home with us for laters. Chris was great with our teens and cheerfully spoke to them about a question on the menu. He really has gone beyond the usual excellent customer service I suggest giving him a raise and keeping him to train any new starts to set the bar. Thanks Chris you were great.

Had a late breakfast, and although we were eating late, the food was lovely and fresh, and also a good temperature. The staff were polite and helpful, and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. I'm not sure why I have marked them down, but I just felt something was lacking, although I couldn't say what.

First visit as not local. Holly and Marcus served us tonight and they were totally amazing. Went above and beyond, nothing was too much trouble. A real credit to the establishment.

Visited with family on 26th October 2024 with a small group of family , the manager came across as rude and unprofessional. The waitress had to be prompted for glasses and once home realised had been over charged for an extra pint of beer!!! I have been communicating with the Toby carvery but repeatedly fobbed off. The whole situation has been extremely stressful, what was meant to be a nice meal out was certainly not the outcome!!! Then to add insult they continue to ignore us and not offer any gesture of goodwill to resolve the situation!!!

Absolutely brilliant service! We were late arriving and Adam was so accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. Would visit again for sure! Thank you!

When we got there it was very quiet and on going to get our carvery there was very little vegetables available and what was had clearly been there a long time and did not look appetising. I spoke to the person who seemed to be in charge and was told all available veg was there and that they had to be careful of waste at this time of year. However he said he would get it refreshed. I waited and went up some time later and it had not yet been replenished the guy who was carving asked what meat I wanted and I told him that I was waiting for the veg to be replenished and he said " So you don't want a carvery then" his attitude was appalling and he repeated the comment twice more. I complained to the person in charge. Some time later eventually some veg came out but not a lot. We had our meal and left, this has to be the worst experience of a Toby Carvery that I've had and I use them regularly. I won't be going back to this one.

Tuvimos una reserva de 4 pm en un domingo que no estaba ocupado cuando llegamos. Me pidieron que me quedara en la barra no es una bienvenida amable. Sentarse a buscar comida fue rápido y fácil. Sentado comiendo, tenía un sirviente parado junto a mí y me explicó que estaba anotando lo que teníamos en mi plato. Pensé: ¡Qué forma tan atrasada de hacer las cosas, por qué no me lo preguntas antes de ir al carvery! Los platos terminados no podían fallar la comida. Servidor caminó a mi lado 4 veces, para no limpiar el plato, yo quería un pastel de manzana, pero no me pidieron el desierto. Pagado para ni siquiera obtener un agradecimiento disfrutar del resto de su día / noche. ¡Primera y última vez iré a un Tobry!

Amazing place , great atmosphere and very friendly staff , PLUS DOGGIE FRIENDLY We was going to leave our spaniel in car as just left our weekend caravan break and going home . The Manager insisted we bring him in and was treated better than us (joke) Biscuits , water , and piggies in blankets on offer . Fantastic place !!!🤩

Había recibido malas noticias de salud, así que para animarnos decidimos almorzar, tuve un niño que comer por £ 1 vale que me habían enviado por correo, así que tomamos a la nieta hija. A la llegada nos mostraron a una mesa en lugar de que nos permitieran elegir, así que preguntamos si podíamos pasar a otra diferente, supongo que él era el gerente, respondió "por qué" tal vez su humor, pero se encontró como grosero, así que nos puso en un mal comienzo El chef era encantador, conversador y agradable. La camarera parecía estar luchando y tuvimos que solicitar vasos varias veces. Mi marido pidió una cerveza que tardó un poco en llegar. Al salir el "gerente" de nuevo tenía una actitud contundente, inabordable, no dando una sensación acogedora en absoluto. Luego al comprobar el recibo en casa encontramos que había cobrado por un segundo vaso de cerveza (que probablemente disfrutó en su tiempo libre después! ) por lo que envié una queja en línea. Me han dicho en varias ocasiones que alguien se ocupará de esto, primero estaba dispuesto a pasarlo todo por alto, aceptar una disculpa, pero ahora un mes después siento que toda su ética de servicio al cliente es una completa decepción y es una de las peores experiencias de comer fuera que he tenido. Yo recomendaría ir a Macdonald's en lugar de aquí, a menos que quieras sentir que tu viaje fuera es una decepción y definitivamente deja un sabor amargo mentalmente y allí forma cobarde de follar a la gente en lugar de ser lo suficientemente adulto como para ofrecer servicio al cliente es una vergüenza!

Good food, polite and helpful staff however the spacing with the tables are very small and the music is too loud when your trying to eat your meal with your family.

Very friendly 😊 staff... Sadly the toby brand was seriously lacking....the food was just about warm, looked dry up and discolored. We use toby carverys a lot at home, but this is the worst. Company need to get in a clean up the place, your letting your staff down,as well as the brand Just dirty and need a good revamp , query food standards too.

We visited last Sunday around about 4:30pm, it was very busy, but it was worth the wait and everything was lovely. Christopher looked after us very well and he was also polite. Even though he was rushed of his feet with other customers he still went out of his way with helping my little girl get some change for the toy machine. Thank you 😊

Amazing service and good, very hospitable and dog friendly. So happy to help us with my daughter’s dairy allergy & very accommodating . Adam the manager was exceptional throughout . So good we are back for breakfast tomorrow morning!

Terrible meal experience but was made better from 1 member of staff Chris who is a credit to the place who went above and beyond

We got there at around 5pm and we where stood in the queue for the carvery for over 45 minutes the chefs were in and out of the kitchen every couple of minutes until Chris one off the waiters called Chris came and got the carvery going again. We had to wait for some of the meat because they had to cook more. We were told they would come be sent to the table for us but never were .but again Chris came and spoke to us and sorted it out for us ,the staff in the bar were amazing and helpful especially Chris he’s a credit to them .

What a fantastic place for a carvery and the service was amazing. It was extremely busy and by now had expected some food to have run out but there was plenty of choice, turkey, beef, lamb, gammon, so much veg to chose from all with a huge yorkshire pudding. I can only praise Chris, the person who served us, who went above and beyond to support my son. He found him the perfect pudding and ensured he got a bowl of mac cheese. All this during a hugely busy evening.

Chris was incredible, the kitchen staff were more busy making the takeaway food than the huge queue of us in line for food so he took on an extra roll and served meats too. He was exceptional.

We could see how busy they where when we got there had to wait 10 minutes to be seated even tho we had booked we didnt have a problem waiting, food was really nice we could see the guy who was at the carvery was really busy and didn't stop the whole time we was there, food was really lovely we had roast beef cooked perfectly would definitely return when we are next in blackpool

Missing items, the mac and cheese was dry

Good food, clean seating area. Our server was Dee and she was lovely, very friendly. Only bad point is the WiFi connection wasn't very good, and ladies toilets need some attention to cleanliness

2.30pm Sunday booking was crammed. Walk-ins being accepted made it capacity. Tables/chairs to close together. Food on the floor. Lousy selection of veg. The guy looking after us, Markkus, the only redeeming feature of the visit. Great lad, deserves a medal. P.S. Toilets are filthy. Not recommended.

It wasn’t clean. There was food all over the floor behind the serving area. We waited 5 minutes before someone came to serve us. There was no pork or turkey left. The beef was chewy. The vegetables were dried up and spread all over different sections of veg. the spoon for carrots has mash on it etc. it was all just dirty and unkempt.

Great atmosphere, lovely staff, even gave our Golden Retriever a sausage with our Carvery and doggy treats

Great food but above all the service was unbelievable from all staff we encountered but Marcus and Chris were fantastic some of the best service iv had, attentive, funny, polite fantastic lads a credit to the company. Thanks lads

I asked for no peas and cauliflower which I can’t eat because of health reasons There was an abundance of both in the container Also only 1peicr of meat which is really not acceptable Food only just warm ! Will not order again not enjoyable at al

Went to the Toby with a group of 8 of us including a lady with advanced dementia. Adam the manager put us at a table away from busy areas without us even having to explain then got a member of staff markuss to go and get her food so she wouldn't have to wait. Excellent fantastic customer care from all of the team

part of the order was missing... but then another part was duplicated! The meal itself was ok.

We visited from Essex before a family wedding. And although we was a large party of 20+ and noticing the shortage of staff that day, id just like to commend Markus for his service skills and attentiveness. His honesty regarding the teams situation on this particular evening allowed us to expect extended wait periods which we was happy to oblige with. His efforts should be recognised by his team members and management for this particular shift as he worked tirelessly to cater for us. Thank you Markus.

Lovely food, servers have been amazing, one server offered to help me as I'm on crutches and another server gave my son a chef hat to keep him occupied. Wonderful staff, wonderful meal. Highly recommend
