Toby Carvery Blackpool in Blackpool

Wasn't open. Went for breakfast apparently it closed down yesterday at 4pm for an unknown reason so AVOID

We rang them up about 5pm and asked what time they stopped serving food and they told us 8pm they stop serving food. We get there at 7 and then 15 minutes after we sat down we were told they were closed! Why lie? That’ll be a report to head office coming their way now.

It's a dump don't bother went 2 days on trot and no food, worth a trip over the motorway to Plum Tree Farm, facing B&Q

The food was terrible roast potatoes cremated veg dried up no sauces available had to wait ages for child's meal and never did get his dessert it's gone down hill

Absolute joke. Came here for a carvery ordered drinks and carvery and then went to wait in line. Got to the front to be told there is no mac and cheese and won't be bringing anymore out deposit then still seeming to bring out mac and cheese for other customers. Meant we had to pay for drinks we didn't want as this is the only thing my son will eat which is why we came here. Massively understaffed so staff were trying their hardest but couldn't keep up with the demand (it didn't seem particularly busy) but only 1 person on the bar and another one trying to deal with everything else on the floor.

Went for mother's day and had the carvery, waited 20 mins in qué to get served food, there was 2 serving when we went to stand in the que 5 mins in one (I'm guessing went off shift) left one serving. the beef and lamb were very dry, and got the smallest bits ( server cutting not sure he knew how to) partner got a bit of every meat he said gammon and turkey were ok. The veg looked dried up and tasted it to carrots, turnip (swede), actually the only things that weren't dry were the cauliflower cheese, Mac &cheese and the gravy. Yorkshire pudding tasted of grease. Also got a portion on pigs in blankets these were very hot and prob best thing out the main meal. Dessert was ok though but if you've advertised on the menu that it comes with strawberries (plural) it has to come with strawberries not 3 slices off one strawberry. I also get that it was mother's day and they were busy but seating arrangements need to reconfigured, tables were to close together the table to my right if the person moved seat back to get out from the table his chair hit our table same with table at the back of my partner's chair if person moved to get out it hit his chair. Give the servers their due they were busy and done great. Gave 2 stars for the food but that's for the dessert

Went to get take away for my elderly dad in hospital almost didn’t get as ovens had gone down, but they were kind enough to still do it for me, couldn’t compliment them enough for it stars ⭐️ the lot of them

Fantastic experience, my daughter is Gluten Free and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate her. Highly recommend

Went in for a carvery but wasn't pleased that there wasn't fresh meat or vegetables on offer even though we visited after 5pm in the evening... short staffed was the answer.... Went and tried their all u can eat breakfast and that wasn't bad... better than the campsite that we was staying in and was value for money 💰 even the coffee with the breakfast was decent 👌

The food was cold. The Yorkshire pudding tasted of stale grease like they had been put in a deep fat fryer. There was not enough gravy and all the roast potatoes were burnt. They tasted like they had been reheated. It was a good portion and nice veg.

This is the tastiest carvery I have ever been to. The food was so nice and the staff were super lovely. Been going to the caravan park near by for so long and I’m so annoyed with myself this is the first time we dined here, so pleased. The beef was stunning!

Unfortunately the Oven failed so no selective Carvery. Unfortunately had to go elsewhere!😫

was looking forward to this after 48hr shift at work and it was dreadful, fatty tough beef, had no stuffing no roasties, just mash. half tub gravy, only veg is 2 kinds of peas, no pigs in blankets. I paid £17 for this then my sticky toffee pudding was plain cake amd custard literally no sauce or sticky anywhere..I'll never order from here again.

This was the best carvery that I've had in years n years 😊 The food was so tasty and you got a really good portion of meat too,The staff were really nice and very helpful as well. Id defo recommend going for one and to top it off we got 25% off the complete bill for downloading the Toby App 😊

Roast potatoes where burnt and very grease. Meat was cold 🥶. Sorry i would not go there again if you paid me.

Whilst visiting the area we decided to visit this Toby for dinner last night. It was the cleanest Toby I think I’ve been to. The food was lovely, the service was good. I will definitely be back next time I’m in the area. A credit to the Toby brand.

Hi again. You say £7.80 for unlimited drinks, nobody told us this, apart from the fact we went for a meal, and basically left early as the food was only warm and meat tough ! We were in for 1hour 1minute ! I was embarrassed taking my wife there to be honest ! We went to restaurant yesterday to ask why we had parking fine for when we ate there and a young lady at reception desk said we needed to speak to another young lady who was acting manager called Courtney ! She spoke to us and explained the parking fine would be cancelled immediately which it was ! She acted most professionally and was very courteous ! I now understand my wife apparently was shouting at staff yesterday, which is NOT the case ! She too acted most professionally and even asked to discuss the matter in private which they did outside and the matterwas resolved immediately without any raised voices or bad language - so get it right ok ! The guy who originally booked us in told us nothing about parking despite giving him our reg no., nor was anything said about unlimited drinks, and understand he no longer works there ! Im just more embarrassed about the whole situation, especially arguing with my wife ! Maybe you should chech your cametas We had a bod experience - end of ! We now know not to eat there again !!

Food was okay, place was almost empty but was still told about booking in advance. Asked for a yorkshire pudding wrap to be told they don't offer them at weekends, despite the menu saying available Monday to Saturday. The server just stated she had no idea why they weren't but she'd been told they don't at weekends. Ordered cheesy mushrooms to be told a few moments later, 'you're going to hate me we haven't got them'. Was a very average experience with average service.

Just had a carvery at Blackpool branch, using the app.Food was very good, there were 4 choices of meat and all were well cooked, the vegetables were just right, but the star of the meal was definitely the yorkshire puds. Staff were friendly and helpful. Don't let the slightly shabby outside put you off, it's worth a visit.

Always a great place to go, I personally always have the gomman on the carvery it's always cooked perfectly, rest of my family have multiple meats, even my fussy 6 year old loves it everytime we go. Foods always hot and tastes great, veg is properly cooked non of that undercooked stuff. Definitely recommend this Toby Carvery, you won't be disappointed, great atmosphere nice and chilled out. Staff are always polite and helpful.

It was AWFUL. I don't think that I could EVER have been as close to walking out of any establishment without eating most of the meal I have ordered. Even if it wasn't a very nice meal that was served by me. I'm confident that I will NEVER EVER be entering Toby Carvery Blackpool again EVER.

We came here on our way home from a family trip out. The food was delicious and filling, all the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating, one even lent her own phone charger to me. At times the service was a little relaxed, but we were grateful not to be rushed. All in all it was a really lovely and friendly experience.

It wasn't as good as other Toby carvery's I've been to, the meat was very dry, they didn't have a lot of items on the menu, with the desserts, soft drinks were quite expensive.

Absolutely phenomenal team. Nothing was too much trouble and our 10 year olds said it's their favourite carvery they've ever had!

Had an amazing experiance. Food was tasty and fresh, atmosphere was fab. Definatly had an awesome time and a shoutout to Dee she was awesome, my friends also all said they enjoyed the Dee experiance at toby carvery :) will deffo be coming back again soon.

Food and service was great, could see though that there were only two staff members available on the floor on a Saturday which isn’t great for them but it didn’t really impact our experience and I found everyone to be lovely and helpful. Food was good and had a great selection of meats and sides. However was really let down by the women’s toilets as they weren’t clean at all both stalls available (two were out of order) had poo on the seats and we’re unusable I ended up having to use the disabled toilet. Even though the experience overall was good the toilets have put me off returning to this particular Toby carvery.

Came in for breakfast last Friday and I couldn't fault anything. The service was great and Shaun was lovely. We will definitely be back and have the carvery next time.

We have fabulous service today from Sean and Ollie (not sure of spelling). The food was fantastic too. We were a table of 6 adults, a toddler and a new born baby. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt very welcome and comfortable. Absolutely outstanding , highly recommend x

Carvery was terrible the meats and all veg cold, the place was empty the staff were polite but we was told we didn’t have to pay for the carvery meal as we complained. Won’t be going again

I ordered a meal deal, a roast dinner and fudge cake. The roast was delicious and so much of it. Would've easily fed two. [not complaining lol] but sadly the fudge cake was missing 😢

I went with a one4all card with my wife. Front of house service was brilliant Shaun looked after us as soon as we entered. Found us a table and sorted us out with drinks never needed to go to the bar at all. The carvery was absolutely delicious the best we have had for years. Plenty of meat choices Pork, Ham, Turkey, Beef and Lamb. All was top notch tasty and tender not to miss mentioning the lovely veg, potatoes, Gravy Etc. Would recommend the Clifton arms to anyone.. Worth trying out I'm only disappointed that I never discovered such a nice place earlier. Will be certain to visit again regularly. This visit was an experience I would not want to repeat , we were greeted with a less than cheerful team leader , when we paid for our Breakfast after we were seated, we went to the buffet to select our breakfast to find that there was no bacon nor was there any eggs that you would have wanted to eat just dried up disgusting oil soaked rubbish eventually the chef made an appearance and when I asked if there would be any bacon and fresh eggs available I was greeted with in about 10 to 15 minutes this information was given with a scowl and a rude delivery. As I had already plated some sausages tomato I could see no reason to only have half a breakfast so left my plate under the heat lamps until the eggs and the bacon turned up the rest of my family did the same , in the meantime another gentleman who had just arrived and experienced the same problem again the chef made an appearance and the gentleman asked the same question and was told in the same gruff manner that it would be some time before the bacon was ready eventually some of us were able to have some breakfast, Shortly two ladies went to the buffet again to select there breakfast but by this time the same situation had occurred they stood there waiting to speak to someone regarding the missing breakfast items again the chef came out again to remove empty containers from the the hot plate they asked if they could have some breakfast and he told them that it was finish and there was no more to be had, the two ladies were taken aback and again I witnessed his disgusting attitude a few minutes later the team leader and male colleague arrived and the ladies complained of the lack of items available and reiterated what they had been told by the chef , they were told that there would be be more . By now you must be see why I’m writing this review the service in this particular establishment is less that adequate in fact down right awful, before leaving I went to the bar where the team leader and the male colleague were I told them what I experienced and what I had witnessed there reply was a sickly smile and they were sorry !!!!! Not as sorry I fancy as us that were affected by the idiot of a chef I would like also to point. Out this guy was not a youngster but a mature guy who clearly had no manners and shouldn’t have been working in close proximity with the public . It’s a shame that a good value company is at the mercy of of the few idiots that run it and in my opinion the whole staff at this particular venue ( Blackpool Toby Carvery) should be retrained . so give it a wide berth until maybe this has been done ..

We had the carvery which was lovely but right above you on the tables are a huge lampshade absolutley covered in dust and fluff! They had to shout for the carver and we were stood about 5 minutes waiting before he came out from the back

OK... so it's a tad run down as far as the decor is concerned, but the food here is fantastic. Never had a bad meal in over 30 visits. Staff are always polite and helpful. Can't go wrong with it.

We attend Toby Carvery for their breakfast. However this particular morning was much busier than usual. We noticed that a lot of foods were low in quantity for a large period of time. They ran out of white bread and had to ask if could be restocked. Otherwise it was a great experience! :)

We had drinks, food and a dessert for me, we were well looked after and look forward to going again

Myself and hubby visit on a regular basis, all staff very welcoming and full of good humour. Food always hot, stomachs full on leaving everytime. It's our goto place for a carvery.

the food was cold, I appreciate the weather but no attempt to keep it warm was made. On the pork and beef I had the end piece of beef which was burnt and rock hard. would not order from here again in a hurry

I don’t normally do reviews and hate being negative but I really had to tonight. I’ve been here a few times and it’s been okay, just convenient really. Tonight the manager who was in, wow! He was just so blunt and rude, made my partner feel that uncomfortable he didn’t want to ask him for a drink so waited to see another member of staff, I just think for a manager you should be welcoming so it’s a nice atmosphere and it felt awful. The food wasn’t the best either it was really dry and gravy watery, another table next to us actually said the same. If there was another manager in I would have mentioned something to them but felt too uncomfortable saying anything to the other manager so unfortunately had to spend about 80£ tonight for us all on rubbish food and drinks which we was looking forward to :( sorry for the negative feedback but I suppose he needs to know his attitude wasn’t nice at all and again, the other table looked at us and shook head as they noticed it too, shocking really! The lady waiter though was so lovely and helpful and the man waiter is lovely, he’s always so helpful and polite! Won’t be coming back now, we all have bad days but talking to customers like that as a manager when asked simple questions about how we get the food and drinks etc is just awful

We booked for breakfast with santa and was a little disappointed that it's cost so much and the santa bless him didn't look like he wanted to be there didn't feel festive 😔 😕 and the food was dripping in oil ewww
