Costa Coffee in Wirral

This Costa is the worst I’ve ever been to. The staff are dreadful, don’t care if they burn your food, talk to their friends and ignore you as a customer. We started going every week as in new Brighton on business but have moved our custom to the Starbucks round the corner. I’ve complained to Costa directly as it’s so bad and they’ve yet to contact me about my complaint - two weeks and counting! Please try other places as this is awful

We call in for our Costa coffee fix most days (New Brighton). The staff are always very pleasant and patient. It can be extremely busy, but they always make everyone welcome. We’ve often observed them helping people with physical difficulties and they are always, without exception, caring and courteous, no matter how busy the shop is. We really enjoy our visit there - it’s part of our routine now! A big thank you to you all! 👏👏👏

We visited here as we had been to the cinema and we wanted a drink, maybe lunch. It is a small store but we spied a table and sat down. My husband went to order and the queue was past the door (probably 15 + waiting). It took about 20 minutes to be served and in that time I was watching the staff - 3 ladies and they didn't stop. The queue never got any shorter and had actually increased by the time we left. However the 3 ladies could not have done more. Whether this was normal staffing and they were caught out by the number of people out and about on New Year's day (it was heaving with walkers on the prom) or whether this was normal staffing, I felt I had to go over and say thank you and to let them know we had noticed how hard they were working and trying to do their best. As I approached one lady going in to the back room, you could see she was preparing for a complaint and she visibly relaxed when I explained I just wanted to say thank you. A second lady, who hadn't moved from the coffee machine put her head around the corner and when she heard what I was saying, she actually had tears in her eyes, as one customer had just issued a torrent of abuse at her. I could see my thanking them made a huge difference and I just hope others apprecated their efforts too. We are very quick to criticise or complain but I also believe in credit where credit is due and I was so glad I had taken the time to thank them. I was so disappointed that people were complaining - surely they could see there was nothing more the staff coud have done under the circumstances? Under those circumstances, if they didn't want to wait, there were plenty of other outlets where they could have had a drink or lunch. We would certainly return next time we are at the cinema or on the prom and I only hope Costa realise how dedicated and hard working their staff were on January 1st 2024 in their New Brighton unit.

Shocking customer service. Toast was like stale anaemic bread. My coffee was 3/4 full and the two members of staff were like petulant teenagers being made to work

I’ve been using this coffee shop for last 6 months and I must say that the staff have always been polite and helpful.I must say that the staff work really hard.

Could not get tap in toilet to work. When I told a member of staff, she just said “well it’s been working all day “. Another member of staff came over and apologised, she took me into another toilet which was working, so that I could wash my hands. Not what I expect from Costa.

Unhygienic establishment. Filthy toilets. I’ve never seen anyone wipe tables. If you ask someone to clear tables, they reluctantly clear them, but don’t bother to wipe! Floor covered in crumbs. The manager is outright rude. Awful way to talk to customers. If you don’t like people, you shouldn’t work as a manner in a coffee shop. This whole Costa needs sorting out in favour of the customers, not the lazy and rude management.

Costa coffee is costa coffee, nothing other than ordinary, but their staff today were fantastic and really helpful when my daughter dropped her drink. thank you to the team who working!

Ok it's Easter Sunday and they are very busy but the tables aren't being cleared properly the premises look a mess and as for wiping the tables that is not even happening. Utter disgrace management need sacking.

Called in after walking the dog on the beach. Just a typical Costa Coffee staff were friendly and service efficient, and the quality of the coffee was that of a Costa. The shop looked clean but is was a quick visit.

I will not return. This restaurant is filthy. Wall tiles in bathroom 3d with dirt. Floor under tables dirty. Just not nice

I visited close to closing time and a staff member opened the sandwich counter specially for me. other than that standard Costa fare which is always good.

Not nice staff , say hello to some people not others called me mate , and how do you get breakfast club ? I go in morning full price for what’s on breakfast club do you have say please , and my sausage bachelorette allows rock hard not nice

Called at 3.15pm on Sunday 24th April for cake and coffee. Told shutting so only take out. Advertised that they shut at 5pm??? Walked out as did several other people and we all went Starbucks.

So today my friend and our four legged friend went to grab our usual coffee from Costa , just as we always do when visiting the beach. My friend went in to order coffee and sandwiches.. the sandwiches were marks and Spencer’s and out of date. When my friend asked if they had any others.. the reply given was no! Why are they not any good ? To which she replied.. not really! They are out of date .. to be asked again .. so are they no good for you then .. Er what do you think! Took 4 people to make 2 coffees. We all understand there are supply and world issues but poor customer service and health and safety surly come as standard ! Clearly not …

I always love coming into Costa Coffee in New Brighton! The staff are always friendly and helpful. This Costa has a relaxing atmosphere dispite it always being a busy place (being on the sea front). My 'go to' place if I'm in the area.

Staff are always friendly and helpful even when extremely busy. Always enjoy their coffee and even though the shop is always busy, I feel that all the staff try their best to serve everyone and make drinks to a high standard. A lot of rude people seem to frequent the store, and the girls and boys always deal with it well even when it's not their fault.If you want a coffee somewhere that makes you feel welcome and comfortable, go here!!!

Visited this store but we stopped from entering by a member of staff and weren't allowed to enter as a family group of 3 (2 adults & 1 child), even though they had already had a family group of 3 in the store that they had let in a few ahead of us.I love Costa but this store always disappoints and the seating area is rarely clean (even though no one us using it due to covid restrictions!).Customer service is generally poor to occasional none existent.I echo other reviews - go to Starbucks around the corner.Alternatively, Costa in West Kirby is always good.

Nice location by the marina, but to be completely fair and reasonable, the staff are terrible. It's mainly females (there's one pleasant young guy) who are rude, aggressive in manner, and with no evidence of customer service skills whatsoever. I know that's an old cliché often used in Trip Advisor reviews, but seriously, visit this Costa and you'll see what I mean! They absolutely yell at the customers like drill sergeants screaming at their recruits, 'GET IN LINE! FOLLOW THE ARROWS ON THE FLOOR! MOVE BACK!' etc. We're talking 'top of the voice' stuff here, and they never say please or thank you. You rarely see any of them smile (you can still tell if someone's smiling or not behind a mask), in fact a couple of them just stare at you angrily and it really does make you feel like you're inconveniencing them. They rarely engage in any friendly chit chat with the customers, I think that's called 'offering a pleasant service'. One of the women is particularly aggressive in her manner, tied back dark hair, maybe a manager? She has a very angry demeanour and makes you feel uncomfortable in the way she addresses you, literally barking orders at you. It's very much a regimented, military experience, and following my last visit where I was screamed at to 'FOLLOW THE ARROWS ON THE FLOOR!' as soon as I'd entered the store, I asked myself why I was still coming to this shop to be treated this way? So I decided to go to Starbucks the next time where I have to say was a much more pleasurable and relaxing experience, and the staff treat you with respect and don't scream at you. It's quieter and has a much calmer feel to it, and you get the feeling that the baristas are in control and know what they're doing. And after all, if you're paying money for a service, you don't really want to be roared at as soon as you enter the premises. Anyway, compare and contrast it for yourself. But my advice is to avoid this Costa, and if you don't want to be served by angry, barking staff who obviously hate their jobs, then go to Starbucks round the corner.

Whilst queuing to be served a member of staff screamed from behind the counter for everyone to take a step back and if your staying in do your track and trace, not in a polite manner more of a sergeant major approach. The next member of staff who was making our drinks was just as rude, shouted 2 hot chocolates, we asked if they where Black Forest as there was no choc flakes on top, ordered 1 with marshmallows which were put in the bottom so that was pot luck who got those! all we got was attitude in return, had to ask for our toastie, as we walked away she shouted your welcome. Manners cost nothing, bit of customer service retraining needed. Ruined what was a nice day out with my daughter. Wont be back in a hurry.

Once entered and ordered drinks, we was then told it was takeout only and no sitting in. We had a young child who needed a rest. The issue was that other people where sat in having drinks. One group had 4 men round 1 table which wasnt covid friendly. Staff seemed like they was in party mode. Drinks come, no where near full and no care given. Staff complained there was not enough staff but there was 3 girls just having an easy payday or an early finish. Pretty rude to customers which is a shame

With yet another holiday going belly up because of the coronavirus pandemic restrictions with 14 days quarantine on returning to the UK my twin brother Stephen and I decided to make good use of our time off by visiting some of the pretty seaside resorts close to Liverpool and one such resort we went to was New Brighton and after having walked down the promenade we dropped into this Costa Coffee and what a great start to our day. The interior is lovely, light and airy, a big glass fronted serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this Costa Coffee. We were here on a Saturday afternoon, we gave our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system, I then went up and ordered a flat white coffee each, these were served in excellent condition being steaming hot ,we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great cafe we were in.My coffee was really good, from the first sip till the last sup you can tell they use quality ingredients in their coffee, Costa Coffee prepare the type of coffee I ☕ love.We really enjoyed our coffee's in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting for a first time visit to this particular Costa Coffee we had a great time.This Costa Coffee is easy to locate along Kings Parade.Opening hours are;Monday to Saturday, 7.30am till 8pm.Sunday, 8am till 8pm.A great Costa Coffee, most definitely well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Open for food and coffee ect but when I went to the toilet to wash my hands before eating, they were shut and closed off. How disgusting given the present pandemic.What is the excuse for closing the toilets? Don’t tell me that this is some exercise in the prevention of Covid-19.The tables needed cleaning as well. I do like costa however have found myself not choosing to go to any lateley purely because of the long queues and lengthy wait

Nice coffee as you would expect. Nothing wrong. The only thing which stopped it getting 5 was that the tables weren't cleaned well or fast.

Usually very decent but this visit on a Saturday was not too hot. Food and drink as usual but speed of service very poor. Not a fault of the staff who were working sooooo hard - so the problem must be a lack of staff. A shame to have people having to work like that.

Our son loves the sausage sandwich and a drink after cycling. Staff very welcoming and the place is nice and clean. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant with my son who has autism, encouraging and helping me build his confidence.

As a massive fan of the Costa brand and with visiting outlets UK wide from Fort William to Bristol over the years and with hardly a bad thing to say or complain about the brand or service wherever I go, New Brighton always offers a friendly welcome and great service, the staff are constantly on the go as this store does get extremely busy due to its location, manager Sarah, so friendly when she slows down, smoke coming off her soles, that along with great topical conversation from Terry the Barista, it`s a branch I am always happy to visit as often as possible.

Had our lunch nearby called in here for a coffee and a cake. We both had a cappuccino, the BOSS had a slice of raspberry sponge with cream, I had a Bakewell tart, both delish. See photos. Service was quick and friendly. It was busy but got a table easily, member of staff clearing up was delightful. Nice break before we headed home.

Poor standards much like last time on the outside. Cups and trays mounted up for over an hour. Avoid if possible, it is unacceptably dirty

Called in for a Costa Coffee - light lunch and drinks whilst taking our mother to New Brighton for a few hours. Just the normal Costa Coffee you would expect, and there standards. Lunch was what you would expect, it was a very busy day - hence 3 large hot drinks for the price of 3 small drinks. Ran out of cups. Bargain, would call again if around that neck of the woods.

Don’t come here unless you like poor service from what I would call uni student kind of staff that seem to be only there for the money no customer service standards wired 15 minutes to be server no apology for the wait order skinny drinks and rudely told they were out won’t be returning. Also no food or cakes on the fridges or displays.

I wasnt wowed by the service but a good visit. Visited this stored at 14.00 for a business coffe. Service was quick and friendly and coffee great.

I was in New Brighton & decided to pop in for a coffee & cake.on the door was a sign stating exact change or card payments only. Ordered decaf latte & was told they didn't have any decaf!! How is this possible?? Went to starbucks instead which was a lot busier than Costa.

Coffee is always good and served with a smile but the place needs a refurb. The day we visited it was not clean but it is difficult to clean old carpets so my sympathy is with the staff.

Within 20 seconds from walking in the atmosphere was horrendous. Staff look, don’t smile, ignore customers to their face.

We love coming in here for a coffee and a toastie. The staff are always friendly and coffee always to a good standard. Only downside is sometimes they run out of products which isn't the staff's fault. Pleasant place to sit and watch the world go by.

I called in here on a bitterly cold day, and the staff were lovely. Gluten free food choices ok too. Coffee as expected.

We had lunch then shopped in the supermarket next door. We wanted a coffee before heading home so we called in. We both had a cappuccino each, delish. Service quick and friendly.

This is a Costa like any other, but I have to say that the staff here are very good, friendly and hard-working. At the weekends this place gets very busy.

This Costa is ideally situated for shoppers, it was very busy when we visited and the coffee's were lovely, the only issue i found was the cleanliness, I have been in lots of costas and they all are very clean and the staff seem to clean as they go, this one was messy around the coffee making machine area, it did not look good when you were waiting for your coffee to be made, apart from that it was a lovely place and as always lovely coffee.

The coffee was fine and the man behind the counter was working hard taking payments and preparing all of the orders. However, the floor and tables were filthy and obviously hadn't been cleaned in a long time. I wish I had taken a photo because it really was disgusting. We won't be back.

Nice inside, nice location, needed a good clean though inside and toilets needed a clean. Other than that it was a typical good costa experience. Only 1 cake on offer

I visit every Tuesday morning and have seen staff come and go over the last couple of years, however! There must be a certain criteria necessary to work at Costa as all the staff i've come across have been really efficient with good customer service skills.

Most disgusting costa coffee experience. Staff had the inability to acknowledge customers requests to clean the outside area or even proactively tidy up. Tables were disgusting, covered in stains and sticky substances. The floor was littered with dog poo, rubbish and chicken carcass. Avoid.

As good as all the other Costas - This time my visit was full of excitement - the staff lovely the food and coffee as usual but this time I sat outside !! Lovely weather and so nice sitting in a Morrisons Car Park !! Better than sitting inside but not a great view. Lol

Had a couple of friends meet for coffee. He Ordered 3 large latte coffees and when we drank some was just like warm milk not a taste of coffee. This place runs out of stuff like bread for toast current tea cakes not to mention the cakes too. Staff are pleasant and helpful. But always seam to never clear tables quickly.

Price of coffee which was not that great was £1 more than a 200 gram jar of coffee in nearby Morrisons ! The cafe in Morrrisons is also £2 cheaper than Costa !

Usually end up here after walkiing along the front from Birkenhead. On my last visit the place was fairly busy with only 2 staff on, one on the till and one making the coffee. Place was untidy with many tables needed clearing, not a pretty sight.

I use this Costa quite often and the Baristas are all brilliant. I feel that they are often short-staffed and what is apparent is the ones on the shop floor work super hard and still are friendly, chatty & helpful. People comment on how dirty it is but in my opinion, it is not unclean, it can just look a little messy when they have a long queue of customers to serve and not enough staff to clean the tables at the same time.

Notice on doors no change exact money or card payments not busy but place a mess tables needed cleaning whole place needs a good clean coffee awful took it back had to ask for sugars none out only skinny milk this place needs a good sorting out.

I came here for the May bank holiday monday. A very hot day wanted a cold refreshing drink, got a fruit cooler drink served promptly a busy place but clean, pleasant staff. Typical Costa.

Called in prior to 2pm ordered a lattee which was served in a cappuccino cup. No saucer ir spoon and tray filfthy. Waited ages to be served lots of dirty tables wasn't the usual standard of Costa very disappointing

Just sat in here now and not impressed and certainly won’t be returning! Stood waiting 10 minutes to get served and when I did finally get served wasn’t overly impressed! Order a hot choc with cream and marshmallows with a toastie! So to start with...

The BOSS pulled a fast one, she bought ginger biscuits to go with our cappuccinos knowing full well that I don't like them. Very naughty, still the cappuccinos were very good. Not as full as usual so it was easy to get a table. Nice...

We treated ourselves to a warm drink on a cold day. It was cosy,comfortable & clean. The staff were friendly & helpful.

No coffee's available as the machine was playing up the day i visited ,but it was November and the door wouldn't close shut so it was quite drafty.They really need to get these problems sorted as soon as they occur.

New brighton has changed a lot and as per a costa lands , it was ok , let down by dirty tables and a lot of dirty trays etc, this probably down to being a hot day and very busy , more staff required I'd say especially on weekends when's they know it's going to be busy.

Absolutamente indignado por el estado de la cafetería y la actitud del personal. Mi pareja y llegó y cola, que no era muy largo. Había unos 6/han despejado 7 mesas y ninguno de ellos y limpiado. Otros clientes tenían que limpiar las mesas antes de sentarse, lo que significaba poner tazas y platos en mesas vacías, aumentando añadiendo del desorden. Mi pareja fue a sentarse mientras ella también pedí y tuve que borrar la mesa. Ella decidió ir al mostrador y pedir si alguien iba a ser borrado de la mesas, ella me dijo "estamos muy ocupados, habrá alguien en un minuto". Habíamos estado allí unos 10 minutos, con 3 miembros del personal detrás del mostrador y otro en la zona privada. Decidimos irnos y yo mis sentimientos claro (menos profanities) de uno de los miembros del personal, que me pareció asqueroso que los clientes tenían que clara su propia mesa antes de sentarse. Uno de los miembros del personal (hombre muy joven con pelo marrón) hizo un comentario extremadamente grosero detrás de mí. En una época de libertad de expresión en línea yo esperaría que la industria de servicios, tener mucho cuidado acerca de cómo se tratan a las personas.

Este café está situado en primera línea de Nueva Brighton junto a Morrisons. Está impecablemente limpio, el personal era muy amable, como gente de Liverpool. La calidad del servicio fue buena y vendido todos los habituales aperitivos, todo costa servido con una sonrisa. Recomendaría

As good a Costa as any - they all tend to be the same! - Nice location on a windy day for a quick bit of respite and the staff were really nice, efficient and attentive.

Ok Costa next to Morrison's. My coffee cup was chipped in two places, which was a bit offputting. Ok service, ok coffee.

I very rarely go to the Costa in New Brighton despite living in New Brighton and going out for a coffee most days as I have always found the customer service in this store generally poor on the few occasions I have been, and my visit today just confirmed this further. On the past few times we have visited I have commented that we should write a review but I've never actually bothered to, however today was the final straw so I have now set up a Tripadvisor account purely to write this review. We ordered two flat whites, I'm guessing they must be a pain to make because the barista Molly made it abundantly clear that this was a massive inconvenience to her. Then while she was making them she dropped the temperature gauge that goes in the milk on the floor, picked it up and put it straight back in the jug without a hesitation. I didn't say anything because I thought she can't possibly be putting it into the jug of milk she was using as that would be too unhygienic, so I thought she must have just put it into an empty jug to wash later. But no, it was infact the jug of milk used to make our coffees. When I realised that she had lacked any consideration of general health and hygiene standards I didn't bother saying anything due to the queue that had built up, and also, judging from the 'customer service' she had displayed so far I highly doubt she would have been interested. She made it clear enough making the drinks once was an inconvenience, I didn't want to find out her response had I asked her to make them again! I usually enjoy Costa and do visit the nearby Liscard store on a regular basis, but in New Brighton I usually choose Starbucks purely due to the poor service in the New Brighton store. As I prefer Costa coffee generally I decided to give the New Brighton Costa another try today, but clearly that was a mistake that I will definitely not be making again.

Called in for a drink after shopping in the nearby super market. Two of us had a cappuccino one had a latte. We read the paper drank our coffees and relaxed. Stall was there selling home made jams , chutney, jelly etc. We bought some on the way out. Fab.

This has got to be one of the best Costas i have been to. I visited on Tuesday 21/3 and was served by the 2 lady Managers. They were both so pleasant. They couldn't do enough for me to even bringing my tray over when i sat down. My drink was made to perfection and i even treated my self to some carrot cake. The shop was bright and clean. Soon as i was served the 2 lady's carried on with their cleaning. Was lovely to be treated so nice while they were both so busy. Thank you for a lovely visit i will always come back x

Iv been going to Costa Coffee every day for a number of years Iv never had a bad coffee or had any problems with any staff member they are all great. There is one manager iv known for a cupple of years now called Ruth she is a great worker and a credit to Costa how ever iv seen the odd bad post about her witch is not on she is so friendly helpful and would do anything to help customers out so people don't believe the bad posts about her someone decided to try and make her out to be unfriendly apart from the post from this very sad and deranged woman iv never hear a bad work said against her and the same goes for the other staff they make the coffee just how i like it and clear my table right away if there is a mess on it and Costa management should be proud of them i am other wise i would not go I'm fussy on how i have my drink and spot on everytime. so if you want a great place for a coffee tea or snacks Costa New Brighton is the place to go you will never regret it i can ashore you on that

There's not a lot of difference from one Costa to the next in my experience. This one was busy, spacious, nice decor, usual good coffee, small selection of rather unappetising sandwiches and pastries, comfortable seating and friendly staff.

Sunday afternoon visit for a coffee and a snack of some sort. Immediate impression was that this place is busy, long queue and quite full. Having a quick look around for a vacant table to occupy we spotted that almost all of the available seating places had tables full to overflowing with dirty trays and cups and saucers etc. These had clearly been put there by other patrons who have had to clear their own tables. Very poorly run Costa. On being served I asked for someone to clear the table where we were sitting and surprisingly someone came and cleared the table, however, I had to then request that someone come and clean the table as it was dirty with spilled drink and leftover food. Again, someone came and cleaned the table, this was the so called Manager, she wet the table and redistributed the leftover food all over it and for good measure brushed some of the crumbs onto the floor with all the other crumbs and detritus. Unbelievable! Our drinks were placed on a tray that appeared to be filthy and was soaking wet so we left the tray and carried our drinks to the table. To be honest the toasted sandwiches were passable and the drinks were ok but not exactly great for the money. Having a good look around once we were seated I could see just how dirty and messy this place is, food all over the floor, the table clearing and cleaning issue. There do appear to be plenty of staff but observing the clearing of our table it appears that there is no pride in the work, no energy, no urgency and frankly no one giving a damn. Given that the 'manager' 'cleaned' our table in the manner she did it is clear that this poor attitude is coming from the 'top'. I am astonished that this franchise is allowed to continue in this manner, it is as if Costa never check or if they do it is on arranged visits where everything can be put in order. The toilet was clearly in need of a clean, not the worst I have ever seen but obviously not attended to as often as it should on busy days. People spending their hard earned cash deserve better service and standards than this, where is the pride? ...we will try the Starbucks around the corner next time.

So when we got there it was about 3.30pm. About half full. I picked up the last pack of ginger stem biscuits and paid for them with my drink, only to discover they were broken. I asked for another pack only to be told by the manager that they had no more. I got them refunded but then was told to just "put them back on display".The drinks had no saucers, they hadn't been washed yet. There was no brown sugar left, had to use white. The tables were sticky.To top it all off. The mocha I got was half froth half actual liquid, like a barman who can't pour a lager properly.All in all a terrible visit.

We couldn't get a coffee because they had no hot water, The clue is in the name it is Costa Coffee not Costa Fanta like we ended up having. Not the fault of the staff but left quite disappointed.

We had just done our Christmas 'big shop' in Morrisons and Iceland. We decided to take a breath, have a drink and a rest. So we went into the Costa, the BOSS had a cappuccino, I had a tea and a cheese toasty, delish. Just the job, also there was a great stall in the shop selling home made jams, jelly and chutneys. We bought a set of three different jars in a nice hemp bag. Fab.

the service was slow the trays they put our order on were dirty the lindt chocolate just tastes like normal hot chocolate and the coffee was cold

This is the only Costa I repeatedly get poor service in. In the past there's been rude staff but they were pleasant enough this time. They didn't get my order right though (despite it being very simple). Costa is my favourite coffee shop but I avoid the New Brighton one when possible.

The only good thing about it is the convenient location.Long queues, shortage of regular menu items,no table clearance,casual attitude from staff.They need the manager of the Heswall Costa to sort them out.She is a harridan but she runs a tight ship.

Had a family morning coffee here and was very disappointed that the cakes were not avalable no crumpets and limited sandwiches. Last week at 10am they had no bread for toast. You would think that a busy shop would order more cakes and bread in than have nothing to sell to customers. People were looking at the cake display and walking out. Come on costa get your act together please.

Always go to Costa Coffee for a drink .but this one is awful . ordered coffee hot chocolate piece of cake and three cheese on toast .the cake was stale .the coffee was cold and the hot chocolate came with cream when asked for hot chocolate with out cream .when sent back they just scraped it off . eventually got a replacement .will not be using this Costa Coffee again

Poor food choices, typical chain sweet foods , why do these chains use so many sweet flour based foods, and thick sandwiches that lack filling...

Always leave here shivering and slightly annoyed at the surly staff who are incredibly slow, the trays are dirty and the air con is set to stun

Disgracefully slow service . Was waiting in a very long queue while the guy behind the counter was sticking cling film to the back of the cabinet . apparently to keep flies off the cakes . The muttering in the queue was that there was an undisturbed fly feeding happily on a muffin. We all waited patiently with the queue now out the door whilst he dreamily carried on . Only when the female staff at last came back were we served. They were quite efficient . Mercifully.

I visited this sub par Costa Coffee and ordered toast and americano. Toast was cold and americano was half empty. Come on Costa i had to ask for a top up, which was met with a snotty reaction. Really poor.

Popped in today with my boyfriend, purchased our coffees with my points on my Costa card, which goes to show that I am a regular Costa visitor. Unfortunately, I left my boyfriend at the till as I nipped to the toilet! They were quite literally the dirtiest toilets I've ever stepped foot into, and I've been to a fair few festivals! If understand if there was a bit of toilet paper on the floor or a bit of wee on the seat... That can happen in-between toilet inspections... But there was dried wee on the floor all around the toilet, there was dried sticky wee all over the seat and under the seat, the bin was full and over flowing, and the sink was dirty, as though it hadn't been cleaned in a while. It's a shame as I do love Costa and I thought the service was great and the coffee was scrumptious! But cleanliness is a must and it really did put me off my coffee!

No complaints at all, its pretty run of the mill standard Costa, not much more you can say about a costa dogs can sit outside with you

We had just played crazy golf nearby, I won, so we called in for a refresh . We just had drinks, a latte and two cappuccinos. Fab. Busy but we got a table and were served quickly.

Long wait to get served. Very pricey. Good location and nice surrounding. Usual cakes pastries etc, you could visit the Spoons over the Road and IMHO get similar quality for a fraction of the cost. Wonder if Spoons avoid paying tax as well ?.

Had a lovely lunch break hear sandwiches and coffee and my server Shannon was friendly polite cheerful and efficient. Busy period but tables cleaned quickly. Nice place.

We often come here for our coffee and toast service good but tables need to be.cleared a bit quicker but otherwise a good place for coffee

If you like to people watch this is an ideal location to do so. Grab a coffee and the paper and relax. The cappuccino is fab and although it gets busy you never wait long to be served.
