Three Stags in Wirral

Late night meal after a long journey. I was not disappointed. I chose the steak pie with mash. It came with some absolutely delicious gravy. Could of drunk a bucket load of it. Plenty on my plate including veg.

Our first visit since the recent refurbishment of the very tired outside. It looks like the inside has had a facelift too. My wife says the carpet and wallpaper etc are new. Anyway, it now looks fine again, APART FROM the two pillars on the Church Road exit which have not been re-rendered for some reason! Anyway, we had a very pleasant lunch here today with nice food and very pleasant, hardworking staff. Nice to see the outside 99% neatened up but why spoil the ship for a ha’pence of tar?😵‍💫 PS. Those seasonal specials are an excellent addition to the menu.

previous review was very mean and quite unfair after one bad experience. i still believe the prices are far higher than they should be but it's a nice place to spend an hour or so. apologies

Nice pub with a lovely beer garden

Did not eat, so I can't comment on food, just had coffee, which was excellent , service efficient lovely outside space an gardens. Weather not great to try garden, but plenty of room inside very comfortable. Dog friendly.

The most rancid guiness I've ever tasted

Pub style restaurant trying to be "fancier" The typical pub food is ok if slightly overpriced, and the beer is good. But don't be adventurous on the menu. Tender is not an adjective that can be used to describe the meat served.

Not a bad pub. Could do with greater range of real ales. Not eaten there so can't comment on food. Bar service was OK, but I think they were tired.

Came in for a quick bite to eat with my 8 year old and new born it was relatively quiet and a nice peaceful atmosphere food was outstanding whoever the chef was 10/10 (chef kiss) food was on the table quickly the servers Lisa and Sue where friendly and welcoming too will definitely return

One of the best pubs in the area, nice garden to enjoy your drink in sunny days. Variety of real ales to chose from. Food also is good. Worth a visit!

Food was really nice and staff where very pleasant. We have always liked The three stags in Bebington. I would definitely go again.

Had a wonderful meal 27/3, family gathering for Birthday, ordered from 'seasonal menu' Tomahawk chop' WOW all I can say is just order it, one of the nicest meals I've ever had, and all the rest of the meals were equally as tasty.

Enjoyed a wonderful 18th Birthday 27/03 for our son, staff go out of their way to make it a special day, the food and service was outstanding try the Tomahawk chop special, absolutely mouthwatering, fantastic value for money, already booked again, Thank you.

I only called in for a drink and didn't expect to be charged £100 to park in a PUBLIC HOUSE car park

The boss was a bit weird and standoffish, abrupt also. Food was not good we doubled on steaks. Unfortunately one was under cooked whilst other was fine? Chips as a group were cold and still hard as undercooked. Partners steaks were like boot leather and inedible. Sorry won't be returning. Madge 😠

Went to take a driving break. Used the restroom and got 100£ charge fine in post. Reduced to 60 if paid within 14 days. I’ve been reading reviews and hate to say the same thing..scam Rung the pub they said first half hour free and over that there’s signs. Didn’t see any or in toilets. Had to email threestagsbebington@emberinns.co.uk To contest this. Shameful

Great place used it many times since moving to Bebington, I'll eat most things but am picky on quality and you can't fault the quality

A very poor meal,we had 2 mixed grills the steak was inedible tough I had medium my plate was covered in blood,chicken was dry.The presentation was awful just food thrown on the plate eggs broken just a mess.

Amazing service, staff are lovely especially Lisa she was very helpful.

Come on 3 Staggs clean your beer pipes. The Guinness was awful I would give it 2/10 .....bad after taste. This place could be amazing and attract loads of beer hunters if it got its act together. Your real ale is terrible as well.....tangy and taste unfresh. Please 3 staggs invest in a proper bar person. My friends overall rating on your beer is 1/10

Always such a friendly welcome. All the staff work very hard and are helpful and friendly. The sunday dinner was delightful today, such a great meal at very reasonable price. Served and presented really well. We look forward to our next visit.

Have eaten in The Three Stags a few times in the past year and each time has been very pleasant. The food is reasonably priced pub food. Had a meal here last night with a friend and I had Shepherd’s Pie with green veg and roasted carrots which was very tasty. My friend had posh fish and chips which he highly rated. The staff were lovely and friendly.

Great old pub, lovely staff/service but average food. I had short rib and Mac, the beef was quite nice but the Mac was bland. My wife and daughters meals were ok at best, too expensive for basic pub food..

We found this lovely pub whilst visiting the area. We had a lovely meal, food served hot in good time. A clean, well presented eatery. Staff got a good rapour, work well as a team. Can recommend

The food is a bit hit-and-miss in here. I had the grain salad and it was definitely better in another Ember Inn (Greave Dunning).

Christening Buffet. We hired the back room, just right for our group of 22. The fire was on and we still felt part of the pub. Teas and coffees ready for us when we arrived, the buffet and staff were super. Thanks for a great afternoon. Not forgetting the nice containers we were given to home uneaten sandwiches.

Christmas Breakfast with Santa and Mrs Santa for our Christmas meal for adults and kids.

Was very quiet when we visited. No football. Just had a couple of pints . Nice staff, clean and chilled pint .

A great meal in a good atmosphere

The food was awful. My mum had soup it was disgusting my mum said it was like sick it was cold. We didn't complain at the time as you were very busy. And we already paid when I did try to complain. I got I try to be with u in 2 mins. 15mins went passed we thought we just leave as. It the service was bad food was awful. It was a first time

I ordered 2 Sunday roasts for delivery have done a few times, and always delicious. Sadly one of the pieces of rib of beef was awful no meat just fat and gristle! Other one was perfect! The veg and roast potatoes were spot on just a shame about the one rib of beef, £14.99 and the beef was inedible.

There were 10 of us having a get together. On line booking was quick and easy and the staff looked after us very well. We ordered on the app and food came very quickly and everyone enjoyed the meal they had chosen. Even better with the 50% discount. We will be back!

Food & service were very good. The exterior is getting a badly needed facelift. The interior is looking quite tired & needs refurbishing.

The Three Stags is very much a busy restaurant and when we have been on several occasions it's usually reasonable value for money. The food is very much a pub menu but has plenty of choice. The only downside is that it is in need of refurbishment particularly the Ladies toilet. The staff are friendly and helpful. A good example of a pub serving food.

Popped in on NYE for a few drinks. We were well looked after by staff who went out of their way to get us seated. Great service and a good selection of ales.

This is an exceptional pub. The staff are welcoming and literally cannot do enough for you. The food is of a high standard and the staff work tirelessly to ensure it is received in a timely manner, always hot and well presented. The bar staff are fabulous, even when super busy they somehow manage to ensure everyone is served in order! No easy task! They welcome dogs which we love. We can take our little dog with us and know she will be happy, always some doggy biscuits for them! I cannot recommend this pub more highly. Kelly, Sue and the team do an amazing job.

The service we received was excellent along with the quality of the food. The staff and management are so friendly and welcoming it’s always a pleasure when we visit and they always have treats for our dog, couldn’t ask for a better pub

Attended last night with my friend for a pre birthday celebration. I come frequently and always have a really positive experience, tonight was no exception! Once again a fantastic evening. From the attentive service of the bar staff, to the lovely welcome from the manager Sue. The pub has stunning log fires which was appreciated in the cold weather. The food was ordered and received in a timely manner, hot and excellent quality. Highly recommend. This is definitely a pub that goes the extra mile for its clientele.

Given that it was new years eve and really busy , the atmosphere was excellent . However , there was very little space so we ( 4 adults) were stood at the bar but were quite abruptly told we'd have to move so other people could sit there and brought a table from the other side of the pub . 20 minutes later we found room at another table but after half an hour we were moved again in the same abrupt manner being told that the table was booked from 7pm .... it was almost 9pm ... so we moved ... out of the pub . We fully understand that it was busy but we won't be going back . Happy New Year.

Brilliant news year's eve spent in the Three Stags. Really nice three course meal and great live music from Big Business. Bar staff were friendly. No long wait to be served. Thoroughly recommend.

Unfortunately the meal wasn’t as good as the service , 6 in the party and three had the double fish in batter and the three people were poorly 2/3 hours later . So won’t be visiting again for a while .

We didn't go in because a sign said the car park was a paid one.

Came for the festive fair which we all thought was excellent and great value, staff were great too. I followed all the pre booking instructions but when we arrived they had no record of our menu choices. This was very disappointing as one chosen option was not available. Also one desert was not the choice requested.

The service is second to none thanks mainly to the manager she always has time to see if everything is ok with your meal and takes action if not up to standard, the food is of a good quality and I had the roast turkey plenty of and fresh vegs with proper roast potato’s, we sat by the open fire which was in which added to the experience I would recommend a visit or 2

We attended the breakfast with Santa with our 2 little girls for the 3rd year running. As always Sue and the staff went above and beyond to make it so magical. Abbey (Brown Hair) who was working today was incredible with our girls they absolutely loved playing Christmas games and walking round with her to see all the Christmas decorations. The breakfast was delicious and served super hot and quick. Santa and Mrs Clause once again absolutely gorgeous. Thank you again for another magical memory. Claire Bale

Good food at a reasonable price.

Excellent lunch with my brother. Turkey Christmas dinner served piping hot, loads of it, followed by Christmas pudding - again served piping hot with brandy sauce. Plenty of staff who were all very attentive, friendly and very polite despite the restaurant being reasonably full. Lovely atmosphere - no load music etc, just the chatter of people enjoying lunch. Booking highly recommended.

Very busy on a Friday evening, where told on booking we only had the table for an hour and a half and were reminded of tjis as soon as we sat down, some food took a ling time from ordering to re eive it, thought we were going to have to vacate the table before all the food came. Food was very nice but came at all different times for people ordering separately on the same table, some people had finished eating by the time others got their's. Desserts came in an odd order too, one person had hardly finished their main course when their dessert arrived, others had finished their main course for a long time because it came earlier before their desserts arrived.

Really good food and friendly staff. I would recommend booking a table as it gets very busy. The chicken tikka masala is to die for.

Nostalgic memories loved coming here food was as good as I remembered

Out with six people earlier this week, we all had variations on a roast. Food was decent enough but every roast potato was like a rubber bullet. Every one on every single plate. Tough to cut into even with a steak knife. Staff were great!

This pub has a great atmosphere and a good variety of food and drink, all reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and helpful. The menu has recently been changed, so there are new items to try, which is great if you frequent the place.

Three of us had lunch at the Three Stage recently. The meals were all excellent and the staff helpful and amiable.

We had a very friendly welcome, our order was taken swiftly and the staff were very accommodating when we asked to change a few items on a dish. The food came very quickly and was hot, very tasty and well worth the price. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble.

Visited for a quick lunch. We weren’t disappointed. We had the falafel and spinach burger and the chicken and bacon avocado wrap. The wrap at £7.29 was substantial for the price and was jam packed with filling. The burger at just over £11 was well presented and very tasty. The venue was very well presented but the outside does need an update. Kieran was very attentive and was helpful not just to us but to everyone he served. The food came quickly and looked great. A very nice experience overall

Just wanted to say my two sisters and I met for lunch yesterday. The food was delicious, the service spot on. Our lovely waitress Sue was very welcoming. Lovely banter, we had a good laugh. Called in tonight on off chance table for two free. Because we had not booked, no table service and had to order at bar (not an issue), but when ordering, asked that for one person, a starter could come out as a main, together with second person’s main, to eat together. Starter came out over 20 mins before main, and so was cold by time came to eat. Biggest issue was that on a cold night, restaurant was freezing. Had a feel of a couple of radiators, which were stone cold. On a positive note, partner enjoyed the main which had been ordered for them, but agreed unlikely to be returning

Call in every couple of weeks as it’s handy for a roast dinner which are normally ok but yesterday was poor, thought about raising the issue but couldn’t be bothered with the hassle, when we arrived 8-10 people waiting to be served at the bar with one person serving at that particular time, asked for our table to cleared of other people’s glasses and to wiped, table was wiped round the glasses on the table so I wiped the rest of the excess salt and pepper off the table myself, bar staff and mangers are really friendly but I think there are a few new waitresses that were below par yesterday in terms of service, dinner was poor yesterday in terms of quality and size, tipped the bar man anyway when I paid the bill because as i said previously the bar staff and mangers are friendly (may be I should of said something yesterday instead of writing this ) will be back thou as it’s local

Went today 22nd June 2024 as a late Father's day treat for my husband. They brought the cutlery over while people were still paying at the bar. Food came. Husband ordered Mixed Grill with steak medium rare. The steak a part of it was raw. When after 30 minutes they came to take our plates hubby mentioned the raw steak. She just said ok will mention it and that was it. Daughter ordered 4 desserts. 3 came the crumble was burning hot. The biscoff sundae came after we had already eaten our puddings. Staff weren't interested in clearing the table. We had to move dirty dishes to another table. All in all. Will not be returning as the standard of food and the staff weren't really as good as they were.

Food came out fast and was really good

Excellent customer service and delicious food. We added this place to the list of places to go when we are craving for proper burgers, steak, or just to chill. We moved to this area a few months ago and tried a few pubs, but so far this one is the top of our list!
