The service was fantastic, meals were great and there wasn't too long to wait. Went in on a Friday, the band they had was brilliant. I'd definitely recommend it to others

Pop in for a quick meal. Bar staff friendly, The atmosphere was ok for a Monday afternoon. Ordered the sirloin steak n chips. Food arrived in good time, tasty enough but my one complaint is that the steak was tiny. Chips and sides were good. The place was clean and the staff were busy cleaning tables. I would go back, just a shame that my steak was so tiny.

Be careful of you order 2 meals for £11-79 as we ordered fish and chips and scampi and chips,but the scampi and a few other things are not included in the deal,yet they are under the items for 2 for 11-79, a bit of false advertising I think tut tut 👎the food was lovely pity about the miserable staff,they need to be a bit more enthusiastic if they don't enjoy hospitality then leave

Tasty food! Ordered the Gobi Dhansak so delicious, blended vegetables also red peppers and cauliflower combined with chickpeas and lentils with a delicious curry sauce, fresh perfectly cooked rice with a side of naan bread , nicest curry I have had I a while!

Our local so I'm biased, food is usually great, sometimes have not brilliant but never bad. Service was quick even though busy,.. Not happy today, coffee has changed, I know it's a pub and I'm moaning about coffee, but it's just not nice.

Took my grandchildren for a meal today, food has really I.proved from last time we were there, Staff very helpful eventhough it was busy, couldn't do enough for me. Meals were great , both the grandchildren and I really enjoyed the meals.

The food was lovely . It is hit and miss but mostly standard. Staff prefer regular customers .

The place was heaving and buzzing with a great atmosphere and wonderful team. Led by Steve the management style flows down to the rest of the team and it shows. Great management and leadership. Leading from the front and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit

One word............. Awesome You can tell that Steve runs a tight ship and leads from the front. He is a true leader

If you don’t fancy big meals the swan has a good variety of light bites , I got hunters fries and chicken wings served with bbq sauce. Very tasty . They also do kebab and spicy fries ,just the right protons plus nice presentation. Lovely staff ,nice atmosphere and there’s a wide selection of drinks , always a good deal on cocktails also serve madri now.

Great for live music and value drinks! Didn't have food but very busy so will be back for some grub soon. Fantastic staff who made us feel so welcome

We hadn't been the swan for quite a while, so we thought we would give it a go. We went out for tea early. There weren't many people in the pub so we got to sit where we wanted. We both chose burgers, my burger was so hard & over cooked, I got no salad with my tea, we had to ask for it. The salad came out quickly & we got an apology off a member of staff. I don't think we will be rushing back.

great pub, but can you stop people from queuing up the ramp. Maybe put a sign up.

Tried Breakfast on the weekend. Excellent value for under £6 for a breakfast. Also had kids option too. Freshly cooked, good quality sausage, heinz beans. The full works with free tea and coffee refills after purchasing a hot drink plus free additional toast if you are super hungry. Jack and Steve looked after us all!!! Would recommend.

Good choice of beers including Madri, Peroni and San Miguel plus Brewdog IPA on tap. Sat in the garden with the dog. Tv and Music outside. Didnt try the food but very busy so that can only be good sign and just nice to see a pub ticking over so well.

A massive thank you to the manager for getting some of the salad dressing to take home for my wife, best food and the best staff here

Lovely pub staff are nice but service of food was not good taken food to wrong table then bringing food to us didn't ask how the food was and then done the same thing with desserts taken to the wrong table again and left the table dirty didn't take plates for ages and when they did take plates left one and it was over half hour after still there the food Stake was under cooked and the lasagne was over cooked will still go for a drink but I don't think that I will have food again

Staff efficient and pleasant. Great beer garden, but marred slightly by kids being left to run riot. Little if any parental control, climbing on the tables etc. It isn't designed as a kiddies play park but that's what it felt like. Even had to stop 2 5/6 yo kids going out the front gate onto Woodchurch Rd. Didn't eat.

Bloody awful food...very disapointing night...couldnt get a dessert as kitchen closed...no one warned us it was closing. Should have been an enjoyable 80th birthday celebration with a joint 18th birthday but the 18 yr old had to go by 9 as its 4 days to her birthday even though she was with her mum and no one under 40 in the rest of the group. Its the first time we havent had a good time (and we have had quite a few nights in there as we are a darts team and celebrate All our special birthdays in the swan)..even the noise from the kareoke was a let down....think we will be changing our venue from now on ...

When arrived went bar told mature lady my birthday. No happiness expressed. Struggled ordering on app had to go to bar. Felt no fuss made even though told birthday celebration. Food cooked well and tasty. We brought a cake brought to table had to ask for serviettes. Still nothing from staff to make atmosphere happier. Asked for a table which had disabled people on we were at the top of pub! Toilet at bottom. My mum has a walker.

Very abrupt lady served us slammed our food on table this is the 3rd time she has done this during our visit did want to spk to manager but pub was very busy .

Visited Saturday for drinks in the garden, used the app. Was super speedy service, with a smile too! Didn't have any food but what pasted us looked delicious!

Went to this pub tonight and the barmaid start to serve her friend before me tho I had been waiting and should of been next. I tapped my walking stick on the pump to say I was next. Only to hear her say I could wait and she would serve me. After I was told I wouldn't be served Its the last time as a disabled customer I will send any money in the pub. New staff not helpful at all!!!

Deeply disappointed with this pub! Out with friends and family,only two meals edible! My meal was swimming in water,I asked a member of staff to change it he took it away (never came back)then my mums fish was raw so asked the Same member of staff to take it away .His attitude was couldn’t care less.Asked for manager twice he left without coming to us!We eventually got a refund.Went home hungry and angry so won’t be returning and certainly won’t recommend.

Good place for a drink. Had a good band on canny sound i think they were called. The staff were great as well very polite and great fast service. Highly recommend

Been visiting the swan on a weekly basis for many years, mostly for a mid week evening meal with my wife and three children, very family friendly and excellent value for money, food is good, especially the burgers, and you'll struggle to find a better pint. Be back next week. 5*

Service by Elliott absolutely amazing he was so efficient polite and friendly. What a real credit this young lad is to the company. He didn't stop asking every one was everyone OK and was the meal .A massive Well done Elliott your simply the very and mean the very very best xxx

ordered chicken pie pretty crap for atenner.same can be said about the other chiken meal .wont be rushing back.service was ok .place itself pretty tidy.cant say we will go back.

5/5 new menu !! … seen there was a new menu I ordered the side of topped kebab fries to go with my pint , oh wow spoilt for choice over the new menu! Topped kebab fries was presented colourful and tasted delicious!! Can’t wait to return to try the main meals!! A lot of variety to pick from!

Unless your going here just for a drink and you are a local then I wouldn't bother. Staff are rude and don't even have basic manners. Food cold and not as described but what do you expect for a cheap place to eat. Minging toilets as always

We love visiting the swan most of the staff are very polite but there was one girl that served us with are food but was not very polite didn't smile one bit and wen she brought food we said thank you and there was no reply like your welcome and she made us feel.like it was an effort

Great service. Vert friendly staff . Went in with a voucher we got as a present, and the man explained all of our options we could have . Easy to use and the food was amazing. We had mushrooms and boneless chicken as starters and Chinese pork belly sizzler and chicken sizzler .

The Swans food was good at one time, but on this occasion, it was probably the worst food ive put in my mouth, I ordered a burger and jesus, talk about dry and burnt, the chips must have been flash cooked not even warm, even my 7 year old said his food was awful, total waste of time and money going to a place that seems to have gone down in standards, last time I will go in there, shocking.

Lovely 3 courses for £52. All fresh food and plenty of it. All bable service and we had our table all afternoon so we were not rushed in the slightest. Staff were amazing! We have already booked again for next year so that says it all.

Great local , warm and welcoming. Lovely staff always happy to help. Variety of drinks to pick from. I love visiting on and Wednesday and Thursday with the bingo and quiz great atmosphere. I ordered the chicken platter which was well presented and tasted delicious, great service from the staff. Great for families too, would definitely recommend

Terrible experience for a family venue. My polite teenagers not allowed to enjoy their family meals after 9pm after our family spending over £70 . Manageress in charge insisting we leave and having to wait for taxis in the cold while watching people vomit over the doorway! Just because it's 9pm ! Happy to take our money right up untill then. Will never return!

Ordered food from here and it arrived freezing cold. When contacted to sort out the issue I was offered half my money back even know none of the food was eat. There'd no way it'd get that cold from being in the delivery drivers car from there to where I live. They'd left it sitting in the resteraunt once it was cooked, it was like it had been cooked then placed in a fridge. Ridiculous, worst service I've ever paid for.

The only downside of the visit was kids running around being a bit load, otherwise the service and my food was lovely, my brother's wasn't so nice, too much grizzle, he couldn't cut through it and it must of made up a 3rd of the steaks weight.

Staff here are very polite , no complaints, customer service is definitely on par 😊

Great location, friendly staff, has a really nice vibe to the pub also which is great to see! Ideal location aswell to Birkenhead one way or the motorway! Spacious inside and out!

Food ok but needs more pasta dishes, pie options and pizza. Queuing in a line up a busy slope not good. This is a health and safety issue as staff and public struggle getting by people with drinks and hot food in hand. You should have seperate till when ordering food. As a local looking for just a drink you can queue for ages.

Went on a Saturday evening. Decided on steak which were cooked to perfection. Drinks were a bargain too. Great place to watch football as they have TV's everywhere. Karaoke DJ was just setting up but we couldn't stay.

Attended on Sunday afternoon for lunch with friends we received a warm welcome from the staff and shown to our table which was a nice added touch that we didn’t expect… we ordered our drinks via the app and they came to our table the cocktails on the two for £8.50 looked amazing very well presented and tasted fantastic… when our food arrived the skillets were sizzling and set the fire alarms off which the staff assured everyone was normal… an all round great visit!

Came here on a date. Nice atmosphere football on TV, few tables reserved but nice window booths and garden area. Cleanliness is not an issue. Staff respectful and fast service. Nicer than your average weatherspoons. The food was okay, nothing special we enjoyed it (pictures included), hence 3 stars.

This is a great local go very often nearing twice a week, lovely staff and even better food. We booked a table for dinner time and me, the 7 kids and the ball and chain all walked in and received a very warm welcome. On the first of many trips to the bar we got the food and drinks for a very reasonable price and it came out at a good time and it was great food and to make it even better it was on a Wednesday so berts bingo was on, great pub highly recommended.

Ahh this place holds such special memories of being young I just had to give a feedback. I’ve been going in and out of the swan since I was 18 and some of the staff are part of the furniture which I love Lesley and Steve for example it’s just hard not to love the place and the staff. Such a friendly homey atmosphere and bingo night is the best. Keep doing what you’re doing ❤️

A dinner visit which was excellent. Very busy as the owners had sent out 40% off vouchers. 2 meals & 2 drinks under £20. Absolute bargain! Will be back!

Decent find after a stay over the water. Does what it says on the tin of being a community sizzling pub. Manager seems like a good guy and we had a great time chatting to him.

It was our anniversary breakfast and I must say it was spot on all cook lovely well presented delivered with a smile .

I received a lovely welcoming from the staff it was quite busy but there was the bar side which was quieter which I found good! There’s a wide range of vodka and gins presented behind the bar some flavours I didn’t even knew existed! Good prices too! The staff member was female with black hair , black top unfortunately I didn’t get her name. She was very helpful and polite when serving me. I later then ordered the buttermilk chicken old faithful burger and upgraded to curly fries which came out perfect , I like that the bbq sauce is presented separate. I was approached by another member of staff who checked that everything was ok with my meal which I really appreciated as the lounge side was quite busy! Definitely will be returning! Great atmosphere!
