Went for a pub meal. Food was very nice. Staff very friendly and attentive. Couldn't fault it

Walked into the bar and no one behind it for at least 5mins! Initial service (when he eventually apperared!) was good even though he was busy. Went to get a second drink at the bar and there were 2 members of staff huddled over the till without any acknowledgement that I was actually waiting! 10 minutes later I got my drink!! Certain staff need customer relations training!! You will lose any valuable customers on the current set up.

It's ok, friendly staff. Needs a bit of tlc and given it's location I was surprised it wasn't a bit neater and tidier (cigarette ends in ashtrays outside etc that had obviously been there for a while). Only had a cup of tea.

it was a lovely environment with very nice staff. Sophie and Charlene catered to us and were very helpful in answering questions regarding the alcohol drinks and very friendly

The breakfast here is excellent, especially the bacon. Service was friendly and efficient and Sophie was a great help with our choices . Definitely recommend

Needed a room mid week , arrived to be told nothing was available, despite their own website and booking.com showing rooms. Had met my friend so we decided to have a drink before I went to find a room elsewhere. Said we wanted to order separately, drinks were charged together. Paid on card , barman didn't even say thank you or its gone through.... I looked up and he was gone. Used to love this place, such a shame.

Gorgeous lunch, we both had the 8oz rump steak which was on the buy one get one free offer, absolutely spot on. I had mine with salad and peppercorn sauce really delicious, my partner had his with chips and bbq sauce which he said was equally as nice. Service was spot on, our server I've forgotten her name but she was lovely. Definitely recommend 100% and we'll definitely be going back. Couldn't fault it, we both had coffees which were lovely too in fact my partner enjoyed his cappuccino so much he had 2 x

Shan and Emma where great, just came in for a quick pint after a walk round this lovely village and was made so welcome by these lovely ladies, great selection of draught beers and food to top it all off

Went for lunch on Saturday afternoon. Morgan, who took our order, helpfully pointed out the BOGOF January offer. Fairly quick service and generous portions. Olde worlde surroundings, an interesting building. Should make a special mention for Morgan who was friendly, efficient and helpful in serving us.

I was delighted at my first visit because the ambience was warm, bright and cheery. The building itself caught my attention when I was driving by so I stopped and went in for some food and drink. Everything was perfect, thank you.

Food and service great . This was our 3rd stay and this was certainly the best stay staff wise . They were so lovely hard working and happy in their jobs .Kerry who checked us in was enthusiastic and so helpful. The hotel was warm and rooms very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately and this is no reflection on the staff the hotel needs a lot of updating . The carpets are the worst aspect and are a disaster waiting to happen especially on the stairs. Worn areas have been taped with duct tape which was there a year ago . Chipped paint on doors and latches on windows broken . I'm shocked that Greene King let these problems continue especially the stair problem . The hotel is in a great location and the function room and restaurant are extremely busy . Shame the accommodation is so neglected.

Great room for the price. Quick walk from the metro station. Comfortable beds and sturdy towels. Breakfast was substantial, tasty, and a great price. Excellent service from Shanny and Nicola. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a lovely family meal, food was lovely and our waitress Sophie Makinson was just wonderful very bubbly, polite and efficient great service would highly recommend it here

Stayed here for 2 nights. Lovely cozy room very clean & comfortable.An old building but very well maintained. Excellent breakfast. Great location train station 2 mins up the road to take you into the centre of Liverpool in 20 mins. Would recommend & we would stay again. Great staff team. Special mention to Mark for making us feel very welcome & looking after us. 👍

Great family meal, good choice and friendly staff.

Sunday lunch was good value at £8.95, small serving of meat but that's absolutely fair enough at that price. Good quantity of fresh vegetables. The building is run down and needs a lot of upgrading. We had booked but no table had been set aside for us and we were told it would be an hour wait for the food.

Cheap, drinks are expensive, rooms are cold, hollow & loud. Went to order food (it’s a Greene King) at the bar and was told I’d have to move to the restaurant area (it’s a Greene King) so ordered Chinese and ate it in my freezing cold room instead. If you need a bed while working away it’ll do and it’s cheap.

Lovely pub - nice stay bit tired but lovely room friendly staff and nice food

I was working on the pub doing scaffolding they were polite and very thoughtfull. Looked after us all . And even made us breakfast. When it had finished. Very lovely people would highly recommend. Thanks nicki and shanny lovely women x

We came here for my birthday breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. Our waitress was called Shanny and she was great, really helpful and friendly and made a fuss of my toddler who wanted to order for herself. There was 7 of us total and all the food came out together and was hot and tasty. Only thing I will say is we rang up the night before to ask about breakfast and we were told it stops at 10:30 but all the menus say served until 12 so I'm unsure what it actually is but we would definitely come back again as it was great. Thanks Shanny!

Been there today for lunch not been before. Steak pie for hubby with chips peas and spot on gravy. I had lasagna garlic bread and a little salad food was super hot and very tasty. Shani and Rebecca were on duty lovely and really friendly very chatty. We will most certainly be back. Thank you for a lovely lunch 🥰

Real disappointing meal at the Bridge Inn. So it was a very quiet Saturday afternoon when my fiancé and I arrived. We sat in what we now know is the pub side. We ordered our meals and drinks on the app. The drinks took 20mins and only when my fiancé went up to the bar did the bar server realise we had ordered. After another 5 mins a different server came out to ask if we had ordered food to which we were told we were in the wrong section of the pub and needed to go to the restaurant side. Only on a Saturday pm do they not serve food on the pub side apparently, this is sign posted nowhere. The server, in a rude tone, said that's why there were no menus on the tables. However, the condiments, napkins, cutlery and little menus were so it wasn't obvious food wasn't being served. After sitting in the restaurant side we heard a table being told that it would be 40 mins for food because of some issue with the new chef. Bare in mind it's almost completely empty, there are maybe 5 tables with people on them. When our food did arrive my gammon steak, egg and chips was fine but my fiancé's steak & ale pie with mash, peas and gravy was disgusting. The peas were clearly tinned, the gravy was bisto, the mash was those frozen pellets you microwave and the pie was soggy and had definitely been microwaved as well. It's a shame because it's quite nice in the bar side of the pub but we won't be going there to eat again.

We had a meal in the restaurant, food delicious 😋 but the service was excellent couldn't fault it.

Well what can I say, the best meal I’ve ever had at this wonderful establishment, so much so that we asked the bar staff for the name of the chef in the kitchen so that we could give her a special mention, Deena certainly knows how to handle the heat in the kitchen that’s for sure!, the bar staff where extremely friendly and catered to our every need, 5 stars!!!!

Came for a roast at 7.30pm. Had to get a refund because the chef closed the kitchen early to watch the football game👍🏼

Went for a 16th birthday dinner, service was OK food OK but restaurant area wasn't good had to walk right through bar area through to dinning area because they've closed the entrance to we're you used to go in ,and bar is closed in dinning area ,not to impressed ,couldn't fault the 3 staff members that had to deal either this aswell .

A family of 7 with a child requiring a high chair. Seated quickly, 4 of us arrived earlier than the others and we were offered drinks while we waited for the rest of our party. Plenty of choice on the menu and very reasonable! Mark and Jack who served us were polite and friendly throughout, nothing was too much trouble. Great banter when my son ( who doesn't really like spicy food) decided he wanted to try the Carolina reaper wings! 🤦‍♀️ food was cooked fresh and hot when it arrived, all cleaned our plates (apart from the unfinished portion of reaper wings due to my son being far too optimistic! 🤣) would definitely return!

The staff are great and really looked after me and my partner, as well as our 10 month old baby. The service was snappy, even though we turned up just before open time, they were welcoming. They even made my partner a drink that wasn't on the menu! The food wasn't great. I got a sausage sandwich that had 1 sausage cut length ways to fill the bread. The bread wasn't fresh tasting either and was dry. In short, front of house brilliant! People who decided the menu (not the chefs, they're just doing their job), pretty poor

We visited this pub for lunch today through recommendations from friends, firstly, all the 5 meals came out separately with parts of meals missing/on others plates, then 1 of the meals was quite a bit later coming out a roast dinner, when the meal came it was the wrong meal which sides/extra’s were ordered which we did not receive….we had been given another tables meal and when we asked about this there was no apology…. the lady on the other table was asked if she would like the turkey meal and not the beef meal she had ordered! There didn’t seem to be anyone in charge…..no customer service in this place whatsoever….steer clear as the food is awful…we won’t be returning, sorry!

Went for lunch with family yesterday 24th may 2024..had the senior menu gammon which looked soft and juicy. But it wasn't cooked enough..I now have food poisoning.. and the 3 scoop ice-cream only had 2 scoops and no waffer..

Stopped in for Sunday lunch, really nice freshly cooked food. Very reasonable prices and great service, dogs are welcome in the bar area. Very pleasantly surprised by how good it was for pub food.

Very nice pub, I enjoyed a beef rib and almost cryed at how easily it fell of the bone. The staff was great also, very welcoming and made me feel at home even though I live in Scunthorpe

Such a shame this is the only pub in the picturesque port sunlight village! We came here for lunch on Friday with our dogs. We were told the pub is not dog friendly, that was fine it was nice and sunny so didn’t mind sitting outside. Problem was we couldn’t order food for outside, no reason given just told that’s the rules! Oh well we won’t be returning, ridiculous in my opinion! Also, website says dog friendly!

This pub/hotel/restaurant is in the picturesque village of Port Sunlight. The Bridge Inn looks OK from the outside, but as soon as you enter, you realise how dilapidated the interior is. Even the carpet in the entrance way is in need of replacement. Interior dividing woodwork has holes, plaster is falling off the walls, carpet near the toilets has lost all its pile and has become black and matted. It really is bad. The whole place obviously hasn't been renovated in a long time, and it shows. It needs some urgent TLC just to make it acceptable. We didn't eat here, and given the state of the place, I wouldn't eat here. It was truly awful. Avoid.

Got served the wrong meal, but was quickly rectified although it was a tad cold and undercooked. The staff are friendly and helpful. Lovely venue.

Called in per chance. Ordered 2 roast dinner Our friends ordered the ribeys steak and lamb kofa. Absolutely gorgeous. Staff were amazing helpful and very polite. Would Highley recommend the Bridge Inn. Thankyou to all the staff especially Georgia

We had a lovely stay in this cute little Inn, which is located in a picturesque suburb. The rooms were clean and very cosy. Would always come back and enjoy the hospitality of our hosts again. Thank you!

Lovely evening meal as a family of 3. We are staying in an air b and b in port sunlight so the bridge inn was an ideal location for us within walking distance. There is a large expansive menu, with lots to chose from! A good children’s menu too. Very welcoming to my daughter who is 3, she asked Sophie who found her some colouring to keep her well entertained through out the duration of the meal. We were served by Sophie who was very friendly, attentive and welcoming. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced pub grub kind of place, you’ll do well here.

We live locally so have been many times before. Today we where served by Amy & Sophie who where very polite and attentive. The food came very quickly and Thursdays are bogof on burgers!They were very nice.

One of the best things about this pub is its location. In the middle of the gorgeous Port Sunlight Village and very close to Port Sunlight Station.

Came for drinks. Served by Sophie and Ethan. First class service. Madri lager was just right temperature, glasses spotless. A highlight for me was when 3 teenagers went to bar and asked for a drink of tap water . Without hesitation Sophie agreed and gave all three a drink of water in plastic glasses. The youths sat outside with their drinks, then cycled away. Thanks to all, impressive.

Beautiful location, background music just at the right level for social drinks. We also had some of the “little appetisers” which are a perfect combo when you get peckish having a few wines, we come here regularly and would recommend it highly. The staff are great, especially Sophie who is a very attentive bar member. 5*****

Popped in to the bridge inn restaurant Friday 29/3/24 . Didn’t know if we would get a seat as it was extremely busy and we hadn’t pre-booked but Jack managed to set a table for 2 🙂. We had a couple of drinks and 2 steak flatbreads served by Phoebe and Shanny. Despite the restaurant being very busy there was no wait on food and staff were very professional and friendly

Excellent place to have a great meal. For the amount you get and the quality of the food you don’t get much better than here. Me and my wife came in a few weeks ago and have been back every week since. Staff are excellent! All very friendly and attentive. Ethan is superb! A great lad! Already looking forward to going back
