Having ordered scrambled eggs on toast we decided to have a side dish each of mushrooms, we were asked if we wanted 3 or 4 each and opted for 4. While we knew that we would be charged a £1 each for the side dish it came as a bit of a shock when we realised we had been charged £1 for each mushroom. They came in the same size bowl as beans do so we assumed that we would pay £1 for each bowl not each mushroom. Coffee machine was actually working on the day we went but the heating wasn't.

The wait for the breakfast was excessive. One of the staff told me there was a delay because they took an order for a takeaway breakfast and it was served at the table. But I’m not sure why there was a delay as the people just left the restaurant. The coffee machines were out of order and the tea requires you to collect a tea bag from the till, poor your hot water into the teapot, then put your milk in first before you leave the till area, unless you want to come back for it. I asked for soya or oat milk, not an unusual request these days, but was told there was none, even though the shelves of Morrisons are rammed with the stuff. I ordered brown sauce, they gave it to someone else. The restaurant was cold and the food was barely warm. The staff were running around all over the place and the looked short staffed. This was nothing short of a poor experience.

We popped in for lunch yesterday (Sunday). Hubby and I had a small breakfast each which were cooked to perfection and very good value at just under a fiver each. Son in law had a roast dinner which he was very impressed with for £7 and said it was much nicer than the one he’d paid £37 for the night before at a family dinner. Our only beef was that once again, the hot drinks machine was off ( this has happened on every occasion we’ve visited in the last couple of months. I don’t know if this is because it had ran out of hot water or they didn’t have staff to refill and wash cups. It’s such a shame because we love eating here but a hot drink is more than welcome especially on a cold, wet December day. Please sort this Morrisons, you could suggest people bring their own cups like the coffee houses, then you wouldn’t have to wash them up. During Xmas you could offer mince pie and a hot drink deal maybe, but yesterday it felt a little unfestive in there.

When we arrived the cafe was quiet and we tried to place a table order, however this didn’t work, so we went to the counter to place the order. A woman came shouting out of the cooking area to say orders could be placed at the table, as the man taking orders at the till also had to deliver food orders to tables. She was really quite rude and we felt like we were in the way wanting food. She also wanted to make sure he was telling everyone that food would be 20 minutes plus!! The young man taking orders was lovely but the rest of the staff were rude and made us feel like we were in their way! Never again we will visit Morrisons cafe winsford

Called again at the cafe today last time was 2016 ! Still running the cafe with low staff members looks like Morrison’s put profits before staff and customers service we had rush to go back to the Winsford store/cafe .

I ordered a bacon barm and tea on the self pay machine. I sat down and a few minutes later, a staff member walking quickly past, practically threw my food on the table without saying a word. She just continued walking. Five minutes later I got up to ask where my tea was and was told it was self service. That's fine, but no one had bothered to tell me.

The order screen was switched off, with no explanation. A notice said to find and reserve a table before ordering; however, there were no "reserved" signs to place on a table, so I left a newspaper on table 15. I ordered and paid at the till; a small breakfast with an extra egg, and a Tropicana juice; the staff member was unsmiling. The meal was delivered in 12 minutes on a very small plate, by a waitess who called out "Breakfast" as the meal was delivered. I had to collect cutlery from a central area, when I could find it; the condiments were also there , but no mustard. The food was satisfactory. I have never visited this cafe previously; I usually have a similar meal at a rival surpermarket in another town, which is superior in most respects. I feel that staff training and motivation are in need of improvement here.

They have definitely improved on how they were of the the last few years. The place used to be really well maintained then had gone off severely. However, over the last few months they have definitely improved with better meal preparation, generally nicer staff and a better layout. Went for a late breakfast the other day. It was nicely cooked, the cutlery was clean and wrapped in a napkin and the food was of a good standard. I wanted to give this restaurant a Good but for some reason Tripadvisor goes from Average to Very Good with nothing in-between. As I say, they've improved but are not as good as they used to be.

Excellent service, staff were very helpful and friendly, although the menu is not as extensive as it used to be it it is still great value for money.

Stopped by for some quick lunch and ended up getting an afternoon tea for two, really great value and great portion size. Even had some leftover to wrap back up and take with us, staff friendly and screens between tables for more comfortable maskless dining. Very surprising that the supermarket can be on par with bigger chain restaurants at much more reasonable prices.

Two days on the trot I have been left on hold for 40mins+ To be told there is a delivery issue and they can't take orders What a pack or lies With literally a supermarket full of food and they have to tell lies like this Leaving me without an afternoon tea planned for mother's Day The one time I did get an answer I had been on hold nearly an hour and the staff in question couldn't careless Well all I can say if they definitely don't want my money nor will they ever get it again 0 STARS

Poor. Burnt breakfast, staff that are rude and don't listen to orders. Poor measures in place for Social Distancing etc.

We were warmly welcomed to the store and shown to our table. Self socially distancing and hand sanitation available as was Test and Trace. Service was fast and the food was top class. Quite the best breakfast of all the competitor supermarkets!

Can you tell me when ur coffee bar is open because every time we call it’s shut various times of the day with some week excuse on lunch or no staff I don’t blame the caffee staff but very poor management come on sort it out get from behind ur desk and do some work for a change .

For a few pounds this breakfast was outstanding, bacon, sausages, fried bread, hash browns black pudding and beans. The cafe staff are wonderful too, so happy and pleasant, wonderful a credit to Morrisons. Highly recommended.

You may not know, but this is a franchise and isn't a Morrisons company as such. Food is ok, there is always a wait as its cooked fresh, don't know if they use products supplied by Morrisons as I wanted a breakfast with mushrooms and they had run out, when I said the store has lots of them, they told me Morrisons didn't supply them and they couldn't use them! How can you run out of things to cook in a Supermarket of this size?Look out for offers too, specially kids meals.

We always pop in on a Friday lunchtime for fish and chips after shopping. We've tried all the other usual local suspects but Morrisons café has the best batter of them all. Seems understaffed at times.

-1500hrs on a Saturday afternoon -Around a third of the tables occupied - waited 45 mins for a jacket potato - no apologies! Not even a smile. - I’ll still continue to go every week though, just for the entertainment

I ordered a simple burger and chips how wrong can they get it charge me for an extra burger I did not want the onion rings came out revolting they replaced it with two more which was not much better.The burger was well over cooked to the point of crumbling apart so so dryI will never eat here again

visit the cafe when shopping in the evenings and all to often are advised most items on menu are sold out or that all hot meals have stopped and only sandwiches available. This is poor service for a major supermarket chain and needs to be addressed by the management.The food when available is reasonable, but my patience has now run out and will probably not be visiting in future.

Average food, indifferent service, you get what you pay for. Alright for a quick snack. I would say it is just what you would expect from a Supermarket cafe.

We come here most weekends have breakfast here, and tea. The fresh orange, and Coke dispensers not bad idea. The wait can be bit of wait. But the food great.

Loving the fresh look at Morrison’s and always find the staff helpful and the food fresh. Today l had sandwich which was delicious so fresh and tasty along with crisps and a side order of chips and an orange drink. Looking forward to my xt

Very reasonable prices but food is just average, nothing special. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very clean tables although cutlery needed a polish. Good portion size and nice relaxed atmosphere.

Always find it cheap and cheerful here the staff are friendly helpful and the food is mostly hot. I like the breakfast or fish and chips as the fish is nice.

Lovely little cafe to go and have a bite to eat before or after doing your food shop. The food isn’t the best but what do you expect in a supermarket cafe! The staff are lovely and it’s a nice atmosphere, very convenient for a sandwich and a drink.

Went to Morrisons Cafe for my birthday meal... I must say, it was excellent! Would recommend again... proper pukka tukka

Visited for a quick b/f. Cafe clean, had just opened though. Ordered bacon sandwich & eggs Benedict. Sandwich.. Bacon was cold, & only just cooked. Eggs benidict, cold???sauce had split & again bacon very very under cooked.. muffins burnt. Not nice at all. Wont be returning im afraid.

No working water machine for tea pots, also no folks and knifes which were clean. To top it of my breakfast was served stone cold bacon and Luke warm mushrooms and beans. Sent it back to be redone, not the first time this as happened.

I sometimes call in to have my tea to save cooking something for myself. Usually the food is OK for what you pay even though you sometimes have to wait a while. I think that is down to staffing levels though and looking at some of the comments (do Morrisons look at them?) they ought to make more of an effort and then they may get more business. I've not looked to see if there is a food rating up - I'l check next time I go. I've always found the staff pleasant enough but they don't really give the impression they are getting job satisfaction or enjoying what they do. When I went last time though she asked what drink I wanted and I said I didn't realise it was included, she said it was as my meal was £5.50, I didn't think it was so on the way out I checked and it was £5, wasn't fussed about 50p but it meant I paid for the drink anyway. I first shopped in Morrisons in Leeds in the early 70's and was pleased when they came to Winsford , I always do my main shopping there. At the end of the day I've always found it OK up to now but it's no good doing a refurb if the food doesn't match up and it's not a quick meal if you have to wait a long time..

Its advertised kids go free, so i popped along with my eldest daughter for a brunch, i asked for my bacon to be done well done, we waited for 30 minutes for it to arrive still not cooked, so i asked for it to be...

as a Regular visitor to the cafe we were upset yesterday to find when we got to the till to be told they had stopped doing the gluten free snacks as i coeliac i used to look forward to a cup of tea and snack...

Siempre muy concurrido cuando hemos estado, con al menos 20 minutos de espera. Sin embargo, el personal no podía ser mejor y tratar de arreglar las cosas de inmediato. Que salir de cubiertos, 30 segundos más tarde, todos los nuevos cubiertos.

Mi esposa y yo señora buena llamado después de hacer una tienda, mi esposa tenía torta de carne, patatas fritas y guisantes se cubrió la patatas fritas en la salsa. Tuve la salchicha, huevos, patatas y judías, mala elección, la salchicha era negro y el rock duro del huevo como de plástico, no comestible era obvio la salchicha había sido hecho para el desayuno y para el almuerzo simplemente. Pedimos el encargado de la tienda que con toda justicia estaba horrorizado por el sitio de la salchicha y dijo que las comidas deben ser preparadas como ordenados y se reintegra el costo de las comidas. Ambiente agradable lo suficiente, comidas ordenados y pagado en efectivo en recepción entregado a su mesa. Sándwiches, pasteles promedio excelente, té y café aceptable.

I really appreciate the amount of effort someone at Morrisons has put into thinking about the children's meals they serve. As well as the usual chips etc you can order a spag bol or a sausage and mash in the children's hot food range and the sandwich boxes are brilliant...lots of healthy choices and sticker activities where they are completing the greengrocers display etc. Its wonderful.There are some good adult things too...the omelettes are very soft, I often order one here when I don't really like them anywhere else. We eat here often as we are in the area after a toddler activity at least once a week and I know we can get good value and good choices here.The staff here are always helpful and often carry my tray for me when I have the todder (you have to fill your teapot after you've paid at a self service machine, which can be quite hard to do whilst trying to hold onto a toddler). I can see why some people say they have had slow service in their reviews. Having eaten here many times, I get the feeling that they don't have enough staff for contingencies....when someone is off ill etc the other staff are run off their feet but things do back up. So perhaps not the best choice if you are in a hurry.

Its a Morrisons cafe.... good quality food and drinks at reasonable prices. I don't often eat there but have to say the self service drinks vending machines serve up lovely coffee and hot chocolate.

Had lunch here after shopping, food came quickly and was of fair standard for what we paid. Service was good. The cafe is much nicer now it's been refurbished. Handy for a quick meal.

We pop in here regularly as it's a convenient lunch stop for a hungry toddler! Their kids meals are really good, the sandwich boxes are good value, and the chicken nugget meal is made with proper pieces of chicken instead of processed. Breakfasts are also really good, and the staff are always really friendly and happy to help if you've got your hands full!

We were told on arrival that there was a 20 minute wait which was fine. After 40 minutes we complained and when the food finally came my daughter was missing her salad with her meal and the food was cold. My order was wrong also, we had to eat it as it was 1.40 by then and I had a very hungry 4 and 6 year old

The restaurant/cafe has improved since the refurbishment. Some of the food is from their budget range but you can't grumble at the standard of food which is above average... great place for the old folk to hang out after or before doing their weekly shop.

On a positive, so prefer the new tables and chairs rather than the previous fixed version, much more comfortable. Enjoyed my cup of tea, but went hungry after chasing and then cancelling my order for a simple bowl of soup when it hadn't arrived 30 minutes after ordering - not blaming staff, they are obviously so very under resourced.

Twenty five minutes wait soup then we give up it's all down to two staff working not there fault one serving and taking orders out and the second working in the kitchen get a grap the so called top brass at the supermarket on the plus side I got my money back

Decided to have my breakfast there before i took a flight for a holiday, the food was very nice i had a large english breakfast with toast and coffee its not cheap i think it cost the best part of £7.50

Not a place I will be visiting again, not that busy but had to wait 30 mins for meal. When it came mine was a fish that was nearly all batter and no fish,dried up chips and mushy peas. My wife had a quiche with salad which was average and my daughter had pie and mashed potato which we think were instant.

We visit most Saturday mornings for breakfast, the food is always fresh and hot, the staff are always very helpful and pleasant For the price you can't go wrong The kids breakfast is really good value £1.00 for 3 items just the job for our 3 year old grandson

4 adults 1 child all having breakfast. The £4.50 big breakfast is big, but no way value for money. Bacon was dry and hard, beans had no bean juice, eggs were overcooked, toast was cold and hard, black pudding un edible. And for all this wonderful gastronomic experience we only had to wait half an hour for it to be cooked or not cooked depending how you look at it. Won't be trying breakfast here again in a hurry

Went for lunch never again.Ordered food told an half hour wait, fair enough it was busy. When they brought food they hadn't took for one meal and brought half of our order. Had to wait another half an hour for them to bring the rest. What they brought was wrong. I asked for chicken ham pie and got steak. Didn't read the receipt. Wouldn't go again. They've gone down hill fast to the cafe. I will never go again.

Had a decent quality lunch for two people for ten pounds. Food was very hot and the dining area was clean. Would visit again and I believe kids eat free after 3pm. There's also free WiFi available.

Good for a cheap cup of coffee in a decent sized seating area.It's always clean and tidy, the cakes aren't the freshest ive had but the mocha and coffees are good value.

Visited here and had lunch on our way in to shop. The cafe was recently refurbed along with the rest of the store. It's a good layout with what appears to be more tables with more space. Service was okay. Quick enough. Polite service and food was alright too for what it is, a supermaket cafe.

After doing our monthly shop my husband asked if I fancied stopping for something eat As we had left the children at there bans I though hey yeah why not and stopped I ordered a jacket potato with cheese and beans the same as my husband a git about a third the way through to find what seemed to be some sort of PLASTIC PACKAGING As I complained to the lay who served us she just giggled and then said sorry I asked for a refund to which I was told because we had started to eat our food that wasn't possible The general manager wasn't much help either I'm sure this place is full of complete and utter ****** Would not recommend this store at all

Very impressed with the cafe makeover. Shabby Sheak pastel coloured chairs and tables very cosy! The food is chesp and cheerful and the new hot drink vending is awesome. Had a wonderful Mocca - Costa eat ya heart out.

Have been here several times when shopping at Morrison's. It's quick, easy and painless to order food but best of all, it's affordable. Ideal for kids who won't eat what's ordered - you don't waste as much money!! And each meal has a calorie value so you can see what you should avoid.

We first met Morrisons in Bude, Cornwall & were very impressed with their bean-to-cup coffee & their made-on-the-premises range of sandwiches. Very helpfully, the latter had their calorific content on the packet for those concerned with waistlines. Fantastic quality, yet real budget prices. They also went to town creating better than a café ambience with their seating & general décor. This situation was repeated in their Bideford, Devon store & again in Stockport, Chester & Winsford. Truth to tell, we always seek them out if all we're wanting for lunch is coffee & a sandwich. We've never been let down by this supermarket café.

Ordered two big breakfasts, arrived 25 minutes later, however the young gentlemen that served us apoligiesed for the wait and was superb! He had many tables asking for sauces and milk, the table next to us also mentioned his service.I would highly recommend this cafe, due to the good value for money and the service. Well done to the gentleman that served us!

Food use to great went there 3/4 times week. Now don't know why but, they changed menu it has gone down. food is cold, presentation poor. Sometimes slopped up. once had meat balls still frozen in the middle. Morrisons you need to get your finger out and sort it.

Needed something quick for lunch. Ordered a jacket potato with prawns. Took a while to arrive yet it was worth waiting for as it was delicious. Would prefer glasses for the cold drinks as the cardboard cups are flimsy. Good value meal.

The food is reasonable and what you would expect from a Supermarket cafe. Prices are cheap, which does affect the food quality but that said it still tastes good and is good value for money

I find this place a great quick stop if I've been shopping with the kids and they need a bite to eat - basic cafe place, but pleasant enough and clean. Kids eat free after 3 too - bonus. Not my first choice as not really the relaxing atmosphere but certainly a healthier choice than going to McDonald's.

My partner and I stopped off for breakfast at this cafe.It took 20 minuites to recieve our food which is a reasonable amount of time if busy. However it wasn't. The breakfast arrived and was cold and presentation was a joke. My partners hash browns were red hot so...it was clear they had ran out and our food had sat to go cold while his hash had been fryed. Obviously they know nothing about how food should be be served at a certain temp to be safe... their ignorance can be pretty serious when preparing food. Would not eat there again.

Me and the kids often pop in after we have done the shop. There is always something that they will eat on the menu. And the prices? Fantastic! The service is quick and the food is cooked perfectly. You couldn't ask for more!

My partner and I often have a breakfast in here before our weekly shop on a sunday. The service is quick and the food is nice. I think it's cooked fresh as it doesn't taste reheated like most places! The prices are reasonable too and handy for local folks. I would recommend for anybody who fancies a quick nibble and a brew or a meal as both provide good service.

We have visited at least 3 times now at teatime. Kids eat free with a full paying adult and there is a deal on two adult meals so we basically paid under £10 for 2 adults and 1 child. Another child could have also eaten for free. Great value. Food isn't bad, some of the portion sizes are small but at that price you can't complain. The staff are great and service is quick.

Was very impressed with the food and service in this cafe. Price was very reasonable and the fish had obviously been cooked to order not lifted from a pile under heating lamps. All of the staff had a smile and a personality.

The breakfast here is excellent value for money and plenty of choice u can choose their ready made breakfast deals or u can choose your own where u pick for 60p an item exactly what u want the place is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful
