Late, yet again. Phoned the place and no apology. They’re 5 min from me yet showing as ‘with the driver’ for 20 min. Phoned them to see where it was to be told ‘you’ll have to ask the driver’. This has happened before. Very poor customer service, had to cancel the order as they couldn’t tell me when it’d arrive. Nice food from previous collection order but let down by the delivery.

Do not go! 13.30 pm, ARRIVE, HAVE TO PAY FOR PARKING. BOLLARDS ARE OUT SO PULL UP AND PARK UP. GO AROUND TO THE FRONT CLOSED!!! HAVE TO PAY PARKING and can't as closed! Pay now OR £100 FINE... as we can't give reg to bar staff! 100% entrapment as there are no closed signs nothing!! Looks open from our direction!! Shocking. Took video ... NO CLOSED SIGNS just bollards enticing you in on the pavement!

We come often and the food is always amazing. Breakfast is buffet style with THE nicest sausages and hash browns. The carvery is absolutely outstanding. The meat is cooked to perfection, the veg is so fresh it looks like it’s HD. We come out of town to here at least once a week. All the staff are amazing and couldn’t do enough. We love it here.

First time visiting this place have to say I was very disappointed in the cleanliness and the toilets were absolutely disgusting. The drinks were okay. Didn’t have some of the stuff to make some of the drinks which was a bit disappointed wasn’t that busy? So I can’t understand why the state of the toiletswere the way they were

Disappointing Experience Despite Friendly Staff I’ve given this place multiple chances, but unfortunately, it keeps letting me down. While the staff are always welcoming and friendly, the food quality just isn’t up to par. The last three visits have involved long waits, and they never seem to have the full menu available—especially when it comes to desserts, which is frustrating. My most recent visit was at Christmas, and not only was it incredibly expensive, but the food was also awful. Definitely not worth the price. It’s a shame because the atmosphere and service are good, but the inconsistency and poor menu availability mean I won’t be rushing back.

Llamé aquí para desayunar con mi marido, hermano y cuñada después de recogerlos en el aeropuerto de Liverpool. ¡Ojalá no nos hubiéramos molestado! Tocino frío que rebota en la pared, hachís morenos sin patata en que estaban que seco, medio tomate que era verde y duro. No hay rollos para el desayuno. Lo único fresco era el huevo frito y las tostadas. Larga cola para las bebidas por lo que cualquier esperanza de conseguir un desayuno caliente fue totalmente eliminado. Esto fue justo después de las 10 am. Si va a servir el desayuno hasta las 11 - 11. 30 am es necesario asegurarse de que es fresco y buena relación calidad-precio que esta mañana las ofertas ciertamente no lo eran. No se moleste en ir aquí, también puede tirar su dinero por el inodoro. Ah y me habría quejado, pero como se suponía que era el regalo de mi hermano por recogerlos en el aeropuerto, me pidió que no lo hiciera.

Visited the Britannia for a mid afternoon carvery while in Liverpool. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy and there was no issues with finding a table. I proceeded to book the meal through the Stonehouse app (the table had no number) but with deductive reasoning we worked it out. After placing the order we approached the hotplate to collect a plate and select the meat only to be told we needed a physical ticket before we would be served. (The till being at the opposite end of the pub) After collecting the paper tickets we were served the meat portions and I was absolutely astonished at the meagre amount we were served. I would have expected more if it was a child’s meal. I spoke with the manager who made it clear that the portions were correct because 4 types of meat are served and that each customer gets 155 grams of meat on a carvery. (See attached pics) The runner beans and cauliflower were both tepid and I had to wait several minutes for roast potatoes. This meant that the meal wasn’t very warm when I finally got to the table. The plates and the glasses were also dirty. Mouth marks around the rim of the glasses and a rough grainy texture on the underside of the plates. Maybe the dishwasher needed cleaning but this level of cleanliness is unacceptable. (This was pointed out to a member of staff who merely asked if I wanted the drinks replacing) This place failed miserably on quality and quantity.

Disgusting food disgusting treatment by manager when complaining.Dry jacket potato asked for butter as non provided asked 3 times and told as I has already eaten some no refund or replacement.As a diabetic I had to eat some but it was disgustingly and staff don’t care
