Excellent oasis in mungland(Tradfford centre)Food excellent. Service excellent. Pint of Guinness superb. Everything I expected of a fine British pub.

Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews before making my way here to eat. It was brutal. Kids meals were fine, adults meals were terrible. My husband couldn't actually eat his and I struggled to finish mine. Will never be back and would not recommend

Really enjoyed being in the pub and drinking great beer. The guy behind the bar (Chris) was excellent and so friendly. Will definitely go back

My friend and I decided to have a trip to the Trafford Centre and whilst there we enjoyed unlimited hot drinks in Mardi Gras for just £1.60 each followed by two lunches from the deli menu. We had Quorn wraps from the deli menu and they were delicious. These came with soft drinks too so in total our total lunch bill was less than £23. Amazing!! Great choice on the menu. Great decor that is all Manchester and Mardi Gras themed. There’s a nice atmosphere in this Wetherspoons and we had a good chat and catch up. Service was good and so was the food and drinks. Thank you.

Didn’t cater to allergies, staff was alright. Breakfast was cold. More expensive than other Wetherspoons wouldn’t be back soon.

I visited with my parents and 10 month old baby, my baby has multiple food allergies so I have to take my own food when we eat out. Prior to ordering food for ourselves I asked a member of staff if they could put my sons food (which was in a wide bowl) in the microwave for 30 seconds, I was told they couldn’t do this but would bring me some hot water. The member of staff then brought a bottle warming flask over and pointed me to the coffee machine to get hot water, obviously the bowl of food could not fit in the flask so I asked for a bowl which I was refused as apparently staff might burn their hands when they pick it up to take it away. I asked the staff member how I was supposed to feed my baby, he then pointed me to the kids menu which had no suitable meals for a 10 month old with multiple allergies. We asked to speak to a manager and this member of staff stated he was a manager, he was very rude and confrontational. Myself and my family decided to leave and go to another restaurant where the staff were more than happy to help us out. In all the months I have been giving my son solids I have never had an establishment refuse to allow me to heat up food.

We ordered some loaded fries and nachos. The fries certainly weren’t loaded and when we asked for more cheese a staff member with no customer service skills at all explained to my husband that there was 50g of cheese on them and it’s weighed!! He again asked for more cheese and the staff member got quite difficult and said he didn’t like my husbands attitude!!!!!!!!!! They put a few sprinkles more cheese on and he made a different staff member bring them back out! He refused to give us his name!!! Terrible customer service!!

We ordered breakfast muffins. The 'food's if you can call it that was stone cold egg and a slice of unmelted cheese in a stale muffin. I complained, they took it away and brought it back no warmer, and I got a surly attitude from the waitress to boot. I usually like a Wetherspoons, but this one is terrible. Avoid.

Came to see a friend we thought we would try this place having never been before big mistake. Your typical bog standard Weatherspoon in the busy setting of the Trafford Centre. A fair sized skelp of Cod wasnt out of plaice served with garden peas and chips . Pudding was Apple Crumble and ice cream, and after a long wait and a few reminders, it arrived and was well worth the wait . Only complaint was the App at a mind of its own and was playing up. To the point I had to abhort the order.

Only stayed for a coffee but then ordered a sticky toffee pudding which was very good very nice!! Lisa had a Latte which was unlimited refills all day and I had a Pepsi. Only stayed for an hour or so but was a pleasant experience non the less

As a regular visitor to Wetherspoons I was extremely pleased to find one in the Trafford Centre. Unfortunately this soon turned to disappointment. The food did not live up to its generally good reputation. Tuna baked potato with salad turned out to be dry baked potato and lettuce leaves only! Chips looked they had been previously heated - not at all like their usual standar. Southern fried chicken cold and soggy - not like received in other Wetherspoons. Please review your food standards for this establishment.

Came here for dinner after visiting the Trafford centre yesterday. The chain looked nice enough as it was clean and had decent decor. Went to order and the member of staff behind the bar didn’t seem to have any knowledge of what was on the menu. Halloumi fries and nacho weren’t on during our visit. I ordered the burns special Caledonian burger which was supposed to have whiskey sauce. When the food arrived the whiskey sauce was nowhere to be seen. I informed another member of staff about this who told me they didn’t have that menu item. It would have been nice to have been informed of this at the time of ordering. The burger itself was really dry and hard like it had been cooked to an inch of its life and left out for long. My partners food was also really bland and the loaded chips were pretty dull. They were meant to have maple bacon on them but it just tasted like regular. The chicken strips were the only saving grace of the meal. We left dissatisfied and could have had a decent meal at GBK for the same price.

We walked over from Eventcity because the catering facilities there were next to none. The queue at the bar was long and slow but it was a busy time. Ordered food and drink from a very helpful and friendly barman who went out of his way to assist us. The food arrived in quick time and was warm and very tasty. Called again for a drink whilst shopping the following day and although we didn't eat it was a pleasure to be in a friendly clean environment.

We popped in for breakfast before doing our shopping, we both ordered a traditional breakfast and the refillable hot drinks. We waited over 10 minutes for our cups to arrive to access the drinks and they only came after we queried it. We were told fried eggs weren't possible yet they could provide poached eggs instead which didn't matter to us as we actually prefer poached but it baffled us how this situation occurred. When our food arrived everything was just about luke warm, by the time I had eaten my toast everything else was starting to get cold. We ate up and left pretty quickly but the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was good.

Ok so this isn’t the ritz but at the price they charge I have absolutely no complaints Food was very reasonable (had scampi) Well cooked and hot. It’s good value , no frills nothing more , would revisit

Well this is my third visit to the madis gras in as many days and the first time I've had a small problem with a member of staff (Matty) being akward. For some reason he insisted I move to his cash point instead of him coming to the point I was waiting at where my beer of choice was sittuated. I felt a little humiliated at being summoned to the server instead of him coming to me. He then walked to the opposite end of the bar where I was originally waiting to pull my pint and I ended up having to follow him again. He seemed to be on a bit of a power trip. Otherwise I had a lovely pizza and pint and will visit again. Hopefully Matty won't be on duty when I do.

Set in the New Orleans area of the Trafford Centre managed to get a table on the upstairs terrace good for people watching. My son has a Wetherspoons app so ordered from our table the drinks arrived within about 3 minutes the food wasn't much longer, the waitress was friendly as she served us. It was a little more expensive than other Wetherspoons i have been to possibly due to the location, however it was still very good value and the food was nice and service quick.

I've always walked past Mardi Gras but never noticed it was a Wetherspoons. We wanted something to eat that would please everyone and Spoons always have a good selection and you generally know what you're getting. The food was good, at staff were great. My only niggle was the lampshades over the booths. They were really really dusty and in desperate need of a clean. However it wouldn't stop me going in again.

Treated the family to tea at Mardi Gras on my birthday. Dirty table, undercooked chips x 4, no garlic naan which we weren't told about when ordering. Very disappointed all round.

I don't follow a gluten free diet to be "trendy"; it's not a choice, I have coeliac disease. To be turned out of a chain restaurant such as Wetherspoons because they had absolutely nothing on the menu for gluten free folks was pitiful, embarrassing and unacceptable. It's a well known disease at this time, therefore having a menu that completely excludes people like me while catering to optional dietary needs such as veganism is disgusting! Do you think this is okay? Get your act together!

After a lovely day of shopping at the Trafford centre, we came here for some food and drinks about 7.30pm on Friday, I was with my boyfriend and his 85 yr old mother . The place was packed and so we eventually found a table upstairs and was welcomed by the lovely jayden, who kindly seated us, recommend some dishes as i am vegetarian .His warmth and welcome was wonderful, we then placed our orders at the bar, on arrival of our food, everything seemed great, although my pizza was not cooked properly and the dough was raw, white and not golden or even crispy , so I brought this to the attention of Jayden whom reassured me and apologised for the cooks mishap and swiftly ordered me a new fresh pizza, which arrived perfectly cooked in no less than 5 minutes later. food and drinks we ordered was well received too, really nice gastro pub fair . But we couldn't help but notice how hard working, attentive and wonderful jayden was with all the customers seated near us and seemed to be doing the work of many people so i took time out from my meal to find the manager to say how impressed we was with this young man. a real credit to this establishment and someone to be proud of as i feel if it was not for jayden's personality and manner we wouldn't have enjoyed our time here as much.

Came here for a family meal. I was greeted by a young Male member of staff who when simply asked "hi do you have a table for 3 adults and two children?" To be told sorry you cannot bring the hire pram in here! I asked another member of staff who simply said find a seat outside? The seating is shocking outside with no room for 2 let alone 5! After finally getting a seat outside, the bar service is just as slow and as bad! If you value your time and money might I recommend another restaurant in the trafford centre as this one clearly lacks customer service!

As those who read my reviews will realise I travel alot on business and often eat at a Wetherspoon establishment because of the fair prices and quality food I can obtain for my measly £15 a day allowance.

Great place to have breakfast while you watch the world go by. Has a good atmosphere. Looked a good menu so we will be coming again. Really enjoyed the breakfast and for a change you got exactly what was on the menu, and it was free refills on tea and coffee. Would recommend you give it a go.

Are lunch here. Surprisingly overpriced... just shy of £10 for a bland, soggy panini with chips. Obviously I wasn't expecting the highest quality from a Wetherspoons, but this was unusually below par for price. It's especially embarrassing considering the multitude of surrounding restaurants offering extremely competative lunches - most at the same price or cheaper. On top of that, the app was telling me items were off the menu that wern't. Not overly impressed.

6 of us stopped for drinks whilst shopping,it was busy but we managed to find a table and a member of staff saw us sit down and promptly came over and cleaned it for us,we ordered drinks at the bar and enjoyed the atmosphere for a good 30 minutes,I was the only member of the party to use the toilets and they were clean and tidy but did have an unpleasant smell in the area.

Been to some great Wetherspoons usually good choice menu and value for money, not this one..Less choice many prices almost double. Won't be revisiting.

This was my 5th visit in as many years. The first four times were with a companion. Each visit was in the morning and each time we visited for breakfast. My companion had the full English breakfast whilst I always chose the vegetarian alternative - but with no egg (intolerant). The first visit, the breakfasts were hot and good portions. The second visit, whilst the portions were not quite a big as previous the brekfasts acceptable were filling but food cooled very quickly. The third visit was awful - cold beans, undercooked tomato, the vegetarian sausages were almost cooked, and I mean almost. The waitress, when passing, asked if the food was alright but upon being told of the problems she just shrugged and walked away. We left the food and left the restaurant. The fourth visit - well,after waiting for over half an hour the food finally arrived only for us to be presented with cold plates and cold food. The manager was called, we explained what the problem was and we got full refunds. The fifth visit I was alone. Again I order the large vegetarian breakfast without the two eggs that they advertised. Eventaully the food arrived - two hash browns which were accetable, one small mushroom, half of a small tomato - barley cooked, approximately one dessert spoon of lukewarm baked beans and two Quorn sausage that looked like they were the remnants from the previous day which had been re-heated; burnt, tough and inedible. Why did I keep going back? Two reasons, one was I was hoping that they would have improved upon their quality and quantity, and two - this place is probably the only restaurant that actually serves a vegetarian/vegan breakfast that does not include advocado and spinach (sadly both of which I am also intolerant to). The English breakfast, from what I saw, seemed to be of good quantity. Lesson learnt - infuture, I will avoid this place..... and would certainly advise other vegetarians to do the same. Maybe other Wetherspoon premises are not so bad as this one.

Poor attitude by one particular staff member, duty manager at 14.01pm on 20th August. Made us feel quite unwelcome. Must be having a bad day.

We stopped here for a break from shopping and ended up having tea aswell there doesnt seem to be as much menu choice as other weatherspoons but the food was very good quality.

My partner and I visited Mardi Gras with two friends. We all ordered the Buttermilk Chicken burger. I ordered at the bar for my partner and I and when the burger arrived we had been given an alternative chicken burger - grilled. No big issue so I thought. I immediately told the waitress and the burgers were taken away.

I met 2 friends for lunch. Not my personal choice of venue but I went along not expecting too much. On reflection maybe I did expect too much. The place itself is a typical, unimpressive standard Wetherspoons. The bar staff were really ignorant and rude. The food was lacklustre and unappetising and lunch overall was just a huge disappointment. I will certainly not be returning.

Myself and my partner went to stop here for a drink after shopping on a Saturday afternoon. After waiting 10 minutes to be served as there were not many staff on the bar, I ordered a pint of coke and a blue wkd. Both of us are over 18 and I was refused service as my partner did not have ID (the blue wkd was for myself and I had provided the lady with my ID). I explained the drink was not for him but for me and she then suggested we were going 'to sit down and swap the drinks'. I offered to sit at the table in front of the bar as this was definitely not the case. She refused to serve me the drink. As somebody who has worked within a pub I am very aware of the rules and just how careful you have to be. I do not appreciate being told I cannot drink just because my partner did not have ID. I have been in here many times previously and have never been asked for ID when drinking an alcoholic drink without going to the bar myself. I have had somebody else buy my drink (I was of age) and have never been questioned about it. I was so disappointed in the way the lady dealt with the situation and due to this experience I'm afraid you have just lost custom. Food was the only good thing about this place! When taking my order staff stood around talking, my order was then taken but upon paying, I paid for the member of staffs drink who was stood before me talking. They did refund the money, however we didn’t get our drinks until after our food because they forgot them. No apologies from any of the staff for the mix up or delay of our drinks.
