Dissapointed, the beans were mainly bean juice and tiny portions. Expensive.

Absolute rip off. I paid £10.85 for a jacket potato with chilli and a bottle of water. They put the smallest amount of chilli on and didn’t taste the best. Waste of money used to be really nice and reasonably price. I would avoid 100%

We visted the Trafford centre one, and my husband places a order for two jacket potatoes cheese and beans he asked for a meal deal, the lady gave the spuds with two cookies, my husband went back and said I asked for garlic bread with the meal so the man shouted at him and said we didn’t charge you for the garlic bread but my husband said he asked for garlic bread with his meal deal and then he said you owe us £1.50 more so my husband have it him even though he paid £24 something and got no receipt. Then the salt and pepper was missing and the knife and fork so my husband had to go back and get them and the man shouted and said ‘go away’. How rude was this we have never came across such a bad experience ever. We visited on the 6 of may at around 3pm. Never going back.

I've never seen someone actively avoid taking an order in my life. This person was actually looking at the wall, away from us, not calling us forward to be served even though there was no one in front of us waiting and she was doing absolutely nothing. She knew we were there but made a study of ignoring us completely. Talk about lazy, bad attitude. A hand was held up when we tried to order more than one item. We had to ask for the second spud at the till (which caused chaos) because the surly woman on spud production duty just refused to take the full order. Zero team work (our drinks were left on a worktop by one member of staff while another told us we'd have to wait for them) and zero management. Just looked like everyone was trying to do as little as possible. I gave them 2 stars for the spuds which weren't bad, once we got them!

So disappointed what a rip off jacket potato no butter had chilli and cheese paid just over 9 pounds for this. Every other outlet had queus but this one now I know why. Family had chosen the noodle bar wish I'd had that now looked more appetising. Will not vist this place again. Avoid if you can

The potato itself was nice however the topping was bland and insufficient in quantity- I would not not go again I got Prawn with salad and it was £7.50

Today we visited the SpudULike branch in Trafford Centre. The customer service was appalling, my mum asked for coleslaw and they didn’t have it so she got a plain potato with cheese and butter. She then asked if she could have it as a meal deal. He charged us £9.15. We then waited for our drink, the server placed the drink that we ordered in front of me, so I took it. He then shouted at me “why are you taking that, that’s not yours”. When I told him that was my drink he muttered sorry under his breath. When my mum got her potato it was dry, no butter. Also I canot add pictures on here but the container that the potato came in was filthy with black stains. Disgusting. Please can you resolve this, I am very upset.

Disinterested staff and food is overpriced for what it is

I got a prawn cocktail jacket potatoe, and there was hardly anything on the potato. And it costs £6.99 and for a Fanta drink it was £2.15 which was a small cup. I was absolutely disgusted with the prices of my meal and the size of the filling. I will never go to Spud u Like ever again. And for James Martin's name on the Spud u Like board promoting i.t Mr Martin you should be ashamed of yours charging the prices you do and for the amount of filling. I WILL NEVER USE Spud u Like EVER AGAIN......

£20 for two prawn jackets. A teaspoon of prawns on the potato’s. Asked for a few more only to be told that, that’s the portion and I had to pay for another serving to have any more. Wish I had took a photo but it was so tiny the portion it was unbelievable. Used to love this place definately gone down the pan with penny pinching. Got a refund and went somewhere else.

Absolutely brilliant meal, Steak and Ale Pie, Jacket Potato, Mushy Peas and Gravy with a drink for £10. Staff were lovely and polite, the serving area and counter were spotless and the food was cooked to perfection. Such a nice change to see real unprocessed food among the sea of fast food fatty nonsense of KFC, McDonalds and even worse!!! Give this a try, it is healthy, there is a great choice of fillings and sides for every palate.

Amazing jacket, chilli was banging, salsa was banging. Came here on the off chance because there were ridiculous queues for maccies, BK and five guys. Not one single person waiting for Spuds. Don’t get it, queue for half an hour or get a spud…..made my choice and glad I did. The spud was ready before I’d even finished paying. Nice staff too A+

The jacket potato was just fantastic, it was proper cooked and I had it with chicken tikka masala, and it was just so tasty and amazing and also as well, also a big well done to James Martin who found this company. I will definitely coming back again.

Portions and potatoes beyond small. £7.95 for a jacket and Diet Coke. Literally one grating of cheese: no mayo available either. Would never buy from here again. Staff also need upskilling in friendliness

Portion sizes are just insanely small. Lived in USA and went to "Hot Potato" it was 5 dollars for a huge jacket potato with loads of fillings. They are very mean with the portions and a tiny salad. It should be 4 pounds for the amount they give you

I’ve not visited the Trafford Centre for a while and was looking forward to having my favourite jacket potato with cottage cheese from Spud-U-Like and was delighted to see that it was now a James Martin food outlet. I was so disappointed. The jacket potato was small with two measly scoops of cottage cheese which was not worth the cost. So they have lost me as a customer and also James, please remind your staff that a smile is free and goes a long way with customers.

One word to describe SpudULike and that's simply unique, the jacket itself was fluffy and flavourful and the toppings could not be faulted (coleslaw, beans and cheese), although everything was of a high standard the selection felt very limited when I questioned staff about this they stated this is the selection they get provided and do not have any answers to why it is not more diverse, £8 - 9 for a meal deal I find to be exceptional with it being in Trafford Centre where food can be overall priced. Please diversy options can't have a Spud without Tuna, I understand some individuals can not have this but it's nice to have it as an option. 4/5 for SpudULike! And I definitely did like.

Great service, always tasty. People complain it can be abit expensive but its a fresh potato straight from the oven and it's a quality albert potato that's always soft on the inside and just the right amount of crisp on the out side 👌

Went today at 12.10 and was told there was a 20 minutes wait for potatoes! I left with about five others in q behind me. What's wrong - don't they want our custom!

Ordered a jacket with curry. Tiny potato, with a ludicrously small portion of curry on top. Very expensive for what you get. Was still hungry after so grabbed a burger from Macdonalds.

Absolutely one of my favourite snacks or lunch or dinner depends on how hungry you are I usually eat it with just butter cheese and sour cream and absolutely love it :)))

Always a good experience when I have come to Spudulike, fast service and food is always hot and fresh. Staff are very friendly and polite and I have never had a bad experience. Well done!

Potatoes are bland and the toppings are meagre. This place seems to serve as a reminder that you'd be better off going to McDonald's.

Very disappointed as was given the smallest portion with hardly any chilli. Paid £10 and did not get my monies worth. The food itself is very Tasty and fresh, however you should check your meal size before sitting down.

Very poor experience. Went there given the James Martin Brand and I am a big fan. However the portion sizes were abysmal. Ordered the chickpea spud and the quantity of chikpeas was very small. Went back and spoke to the person serving (named M...h) however she was so rude and said that that is all you get. I told her I would complain to James Martin and she said 'be my guest'. Would love a contact email of James Martin to write to him directly.

Nothing good I can say about it, extremely overpriced. Almost £20 for 2 potatoes and 2 Coke Zero, I Atleast expected a decent portion size, how wrong was I, unfortunately I can’t upload pictures of what was served but it wouldn’t of looked out of place in a prison canteen, no side salad or anything, potato was a little lumpy with hard pieces in it, skin was dry and over cooked. Never again.

As anyone who knows me knows I am very partial to a jacket potato. Being a personal trainer I think that a jacket potato is the best meal you can have. Anyone who has attended one of my fitness classes will tell you that my ideal post workout meal is a jacket potato with baked beans. My clients also know that I recommend a jacket spud 3 hours before a workout and it’s something I advise professional footballers. Now I am a firm advocate of fresh food and not fast food junk. Today I went to Spud U Like in the Manchester Trafford centre. I was served by a very pleasant lady called Claire Appleton. She couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful. I asked for a jacket spud with beans and cheese. Now this was not fast food junk. This was fresh food straight out of the oven. The potato was crisp and fresh, the beans and cheese were fantastic and it was just like my Mum’s home cooking. Now that is the highest compliment I can give. My only regret is that there aren’t more Spud U Likes up and down the UK but I am going to make a point of getting a jacket spud from any branch any time I see one. Trust me it’s well worth the money- a first class meal fit for a member of the royal family for a very reasonable price. I was truly shaken but not stirred.

Really bland, £7.35 for a jacket potato with cheese and beans without any side salad is ridiculous. Only silver-lining is you get kids eat for £1 but only enough for very young children.

After seeing James Martin on Instagram I wanted to come & try it. The service was excellent & the food was very tasty. I like the use of biodegradable food containers.

Positive customer service towards consumers is in my opinion more essential than the quality of food. It can make or break someone’s day. If a member of the team throws the packing bag at you and runs to the back, it’s not usually a good sign. Jacket potatoes are decent but not the best in the world.

Don’t waste your time! For an over price jacket potato to be served by rude argumentative staff!! When we went they had ran out of a lot of things, my feedback to the staff was maybe considering order more! And I was then given verbal abuse!! Again Spuds you like or James Martin order more products even more so if you know there is an event taking place that day!!!!!!

Nice selection of the traditional jacket potato with various fillings you can choose from. Decent prices. Only 4 stars because there should have been some butter on the potato before the filling was added, it missed that butter flavour. And the potato skin was very dry if I didn’t coat it with the filling first. The plastic knife and fork and polystyrene carton were expected for a fast food outlet.

Tasted good, but unfortunately your conned on portions. The lady who was serving had her thumb inside of the scoop when getting the cheese. When I mentioned this, she rolled her eyes at me and said another scoop is £1.45. I barely got a scoop the first time around. Won't be coming back again. I expected more from a James Martin establishment.

Went on a Friday at 5.30pm to be told they had no jacket potatoes ready, how this is possible when it’s the main thing they sell I do not know. Was told They would be ready in 10mins, went back 10mins later to be told the wait was now 25mins for jacket potatoes. Staff were also rude and abrasive in saying this as tho it was unreasonable for them to serve people jacket potatoes. Bizarre. Will not return.

Useless, big queue of people, no-one getting served. Staff messing with plastic cutlery. If there aren't any potatoes ready then tell your customers that are waiting and how long it's going to be instead of totally ignoring them. Walked away after 10mins and won't go back.

Normally a very good place to eat, friendly staff, good food and just a nice place to eat, as other reviews have also said the same thing, avoid going in busy hours, had to queue for over 30 mins as no potatoes were available, ran out of soft drinks and didn’t even get my order right when I eventually ordered! Just need to prepare more for busier times, otherwise it’s good!

Looked at the menu in Trafford Centre last week and 5 minutes later it was closed (they said open again soon) i like James Martin but the issue with jacket potato places will ALWAYS be price. To make it a viable choice against the usual names spud u like as to tempt me in with price, i know James as increased the quality but still they should be shipping a jacket with cheese n beans 3 quid otherwise KFC Wins everytime

Utter waste of time. Before the busiest tea time on a Monday evening I was told no potatoes. Try back in 20 mins. Returned 30 mins later to be told No potatoes try again in 20 mins.. This was after I tried to finder a member of staff. (See photo) I then email them the following day to be told it was teething problems and they would send some vouchers to compensate. Still waiting!! James Martin you need to look into this as it is not good for your reputation. If your going good look.

Had to put one star as you can't put 0, the wait was over 20 minutes to be served and only 1 person before me, I ordered chilli and cheese, the cheese was hard and dry the chilli was Luke warm and the spud was well over done, priced at over 8.50, it was shocking, very poor service and even poorer food quality, and definitely would not bother again.

Meal Deal is not much of a deal, works out exactly the same as food items bought seperately. Overpriced and the cost not clear on the overhead menu. The jacket potato was good, thats reason for the 2 star orelse a defo 1 star!

Well I Had to Think Before I Went Since It Seemed Very Quiet. The Reason I Had to Think was Because The One In White Rose had Very Bad Service. I had the Chickpeas One, it definitely had the flavour to it but only thing which puts about this place is the price. It's not cheap. Like for a jacket potato you'll end up spending some serious money. They probably need to review their prices.

very poorly managed place. the sign clearly states you can queue either side and there are two counters. I waited on the left side and there was another lady on the right. when I was going to order the man told me the lady came first and she should order first. I don't care the wait but I don't like to be treated as a queue jumper when I was trying to follow the rule. by the way the food is terrible too. the potato is cold inside and the skin as dry as a paper.

Actually I'm half pleased with this place. I was a little dubious about going there at first glance, as there was no queue; not a single person. Tentatively, I found myself ordering a chickpea jacket potato 🥔, the meal deal with a brew. I'll be honest, I found it very tasty, especially with a sprinkling of black pepper. I ate the lot, just like Goldilocks, it was just right. Would I go again? Perhaps if they dropped the price by around 20%, but that might mean more customers and I'm not sure they would be able to cope with large queues. So leave the prices high. I don't like standing in queues. UPDATE: I have just reliably been told that Costco jacket potato is less expensive by a country mile.

Nothing special. Ingredients don't seem fresh, some options are overtly greasy and everything just feels like it's been bought prepared straight from the shop and thrown in the microwave. If you really, really love potatoes, give this place a go if you must. Otherwise, spend your money elsewhere.

Best place to go for a jacket potato. One of my favourite places to eat at, at the Trafford Centre.

I used to love spudulike but they have definitely gone downhill or, I've become fussier. The jackets and really nicely cooked but, they never but butter on these so the potato can be quite dry.They are always very generous with fillings which is great but, the jacket potato comes served in the tiniest tub which you have to eat with plastic knife and forks which can prove difficult. Especially when the skin is well cooked. Butter, bigger dishes and better utensils would be fabulous.

For a quick healthy option in the food court it does the job, good selection of filling, nice size potatoes and a selection of drinks , prices on average with other outlets .. Staff were attentive and polite .. All good quick lunch

For a fast food outlets it's a good alternative to McD's. It is a bit on the expensive side for what you get but it is decent quality food and there are meal deals, even if they aren't advertised very well. In the trafford centre...

Calls here whilst shopping. The queues for every where else where massive so didn't really want to queue. There was a small queue so waited and got a jacket spud with tuna and sweet corn. Was really nice, would definitely go again.

Big portion, they use low fat mayonnaise so was healthy and very tasty and staff were friendly and efficient. Will definitely be going more often. Thanks x
