Great little pub by the canal. Celebrated a family birthday there today. Friendly staff and lovely food . All the family enjoyed.

Great service as always! Amazing food, amazing staff & most of all the environment was the best. We need more pubs like this in sale. The best around.

Not been here since taken over. We all had the Sunday lunch which was absolutely beautiful. The supervisor and waiting staff were attentative and friendly and made sure we were kept up to date with how long food would take as the restaurant was very busy. They kept checking to ensure everything was as expected and we were enjoying our food. Will definitely be back.

What an amazing experience from the welcoming to the service and the staff. From the moment we called through to book, I’d recommend as it can get busy being the best pub in Sale, we were met with 5* experience. The food is to die for, the staff are amazing from Matt, Fran, Tom, Louis, Ben, Charlie, Megan, Lauren and Holly (apologies if I have forgotten anyone) always asking if you need anything but happy to jab you enjoy your day. The outside bar is a lovely addition and the big sun trap and views over the canal make it such a lovely location. Fantastic place for a quiet drink, to meet up with friends and they also do great theme nights to boot. You have to go.

Lovely late afternoon drinks in the new beer garden. Loaded fries are amazing! Seemed busy but not much of a wait to be served at the outdoor bar. Chilled music, great atmosphere

Has to be the worst Sunday lunch I've ever had tasteless and cold and the service wasn't any better definitely won't be eating there again

Went here to watch the final, was expecting the food to come out late and not the best quality. To my surprise the food came out quickly and it was one of the best burgers I've had in a while. I enjoyed the food that much I went back for desert. Would definitely go again just for the food.

Went to the Bridge Inn for my son’s 18th birthday. Got there and were made to feel very welcome, service was great and food was fabulous! After this we had reserved a covered outside area for a small party. They let us use heaters, provided us with a Bluetooth speaker and allowed us to decorate the area. Throughout the night the staff were absolutely fabulous, friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. Would highly recommend them for a meal or an event! Special thanks to Matt and Francesca!

Great food and great atmosphere!!! The Food we had was amazing to start we had the hummus then to follow we had the chicken flatbread which is to die for, The waitress was amazing and hands of to the management the new garden bar is also amazing. Amazing service with a smile also by Matt on the day we will definitely be returning 5star all round.

Matt the manager was very welcoming. We were checked on multiple times making sure everything with our meal was ok. Our beverages were topped up regularly which was lovely. The food was exceptionally good and we will be returning.

Customer service was very poor. We normally come here for a midweek meal and a Sunday roast. We have always enjoyed J W Lees roast in several of their establishments. Today was not good. We arrived at 2:25 and at 2:40 no one had asked if we would like a drink so we went to the bar and asked to be served..we ordered the lunch at the same time as the drinks.. the food did not arrive until 3:10 and unfortunately was not up to J W Lees normal standard. The Yorkshire pudding had deflated and was totally flat and the roast potatoes were soft like mash. Admittedly this was the first time this has happened to us but we were annoyed that the staff were standing around or laying tables and completely ignoring us.. I am hoping this is a one-off but won’t be coming here for a while.

Great night spent with family and friends. Great food, happy helpful staff and lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend as a place to go. Will certainly be returning

A HUGE “Thank You” to Matt. I thought I had lost my favourite hat. I had accidentally left it behind in the restaurant and when I returned a few weeks later to see if it was in “lost and found”, Matt checked and it was there. Thank you once again to the amazing staff who kept it for me.

Everything from start to finish was as expected! I pre booked a table for my birthday and to make things easier we pre ordered our meals which it did. Our starters came out which were gorgeous, and then when we were ready for our mains they came out shortly after followed by dessert. The ladies who served us, along with Matthew the manager went above and beyond to ensure our evening was wholesome! I can’t wait to return!

Good food, poor service unfortunately. This is the first time we have been to the bridge since it changed hands. We booked a table and surprisingly were seated in the bar area which always used to be for walk ins, however table service was provided and it was clear that the venue was busy. We ordered drinks which the ok quite a while to arrive, when they did we ordered food which came relatively quickly. The food was tasty but and so we ordered desserts. Whilst waiting for these a lady started setting up speakers next to us and a staff member came over starting clearing our table and said they’d be starting live music soon (read between the lines, you need to move!) we said we’ve ordered desserts, oh he said! The desserts came around 5 mins later. He’d cleared chased the kitchen up to get us shifted! We ate our desserts which were lovely, but our mood was dampened by the staff clearing up around us. Even though they seemed keen for us to leave we had to ask for the bill 3 times beds it was eventually brought. We had booked, why the bookings if you can’t accommodate a reasonable dining experience? We’d been there just over an hour when they were looking to set up for the live music. All in all, not a pleasant dining experience and we won’t be returning even though we are relatively local to this venue and the food was nice.

Most recent visit was a spontaneous pop in after work with husband. We love The Bridge and were delighted when it re-opened earlier this year. Great to see returning staff. (Especially Matt, who remembers us even when he has not seen us for a while). All the team are a friendly bunch and "on it" with bar and table service. We have recommended to various nieces and nephews - who love it. Great for a family get together. An all year around pub - fab in summer outside and fantabulous in autumn, winter - indoors!

We booked for Sunday lunch, it is our local but we hadn’t been in since it reopened. Staff were friendly, we decided to go for the sharing platter, three meats, Yorkshire puddings, roast and mashed potatoes and loads of vegetables. Excellent, plenty of food for two, pity the plates were cold. My biggest moan is dogs in restaurants, there were three large dogs, one of which was continually barking. There plenty of outside seating, it wasn’t raining so take the dogs outside.

What a cracking good pub! Delicious meal (the cheesecake is to die for), exemplary service and a great band! Perfect Friday night out!

We stopped going to the Bridge under the previous owners as the food went down hill and the staff were really poor. So having new owners, we were anticipating a return to when the Bridge was a regular for us. The meals were great, well cooked - good size and I couldn’t fault them. The price whilst not cheap (is anything these days?) wasn’t outrageous. The service however was poor. The young lady who served our table was very good but she was swamped by the number of tables to serve all whilst a number of the management team sat at a table near the bar having a good old chin wag and hot drinks. 2 hours for 1 main course and icecream for the kids is just not good enough. It took me glaring at the table of staff to stir them into action and serve us. Not sure I’ll be rushing back

A really lovely evening out, food was excellent and considering how busy the place was the service was faultless. Super efficient staff, whoever manages this place has it running like clockwork.

Just don’t bother. Clueless management. Sunday lunch 6.00 PM - ran out of Yorkshire puddings, so clearly frozen. Duty manager completely uninterested, real shame to see this place decline to this extent. Do not waste you time or your money.

Not the best food, no improvement on previous owners, no choice of veg offered with our steak, served with very chunky chips which had been obviously cooked from frozen…awful! No greens, no salad offered only one large raw tomato and more beige food onion rings...
