It's wetherspoons. A bit more expensive than others but ok

Visited tonight 1 6th of March Food was fine bit service was bad. 4 Staff chatting in kitchen doorway while I was waiting to be served , staff watching football. Dirty pots on at least 10 tables We were a party of 8 I moved our Dirty pots to another table, even when they brought desserts didn't take any Dirty pots away. The place was a scruffy mess , it needs a good supervisor to keep the staff on thier toes .

Unfortunately there were no management to manage the young staff. Tables were full of dirty plates that were not cleared while we were there and the place looked untidy and shabby.

Food is hot and fast, the best things are 4 hours parking free and not much noise.

We stopped in and had lunch, a really nice atmosphere. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the food was great.

Very very quiet and not too busy, and very much friendly too.

Very good service will go again

Martin is a top bloke, always has a smile and a chat, nothing is too much trouble for him. Great character and a credit to Weatherspoons

We were absolutely disgusted in the way we were treated. You would not accept scotland notes. U said they were to many counterfeit money. Joke because they are counterfeit in English notes. You have a machine to check. You say it is foreign currency you do not accepted. Scotland is not foreign. And had to clean our own table. I feel this is racist towards us. Absolutely disgusted customers. Will never be back to your weatherspoons

Day we went chip fryer had broken we were told when ordering food No sausages no onion rings etc It was a 21st celebration meal too So Streak meals came out with only meat and veg no mushrooms no tomatoes// I had Cheese jacket with salad that was nice Chicken wraps came out obviously minus chips Chicken Curry was ok To us a discount should of been given or a substitute to chips would of been another option// Staff were friendly and service was good

- Eggs were burnt in black at the bottom (sorry a close up wasn't taken) - Tomatoes were hard and cold - Breakfast needs improving 😞

Just what you would expect from a wetherspoons. Fire at back is nice. Could do with more bar staff. Really slow when there are a few to serve. And I mean I few. Not loads!!

Birthday breakfast meal. The place was very busy. However, the food was ordered abs delivered to the tables in an orderly time. The staff are all busy and working very hard. The price for the meal was unbelievable good value . The only reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is because the menu items we ordered did not match the description. The meal in question was American style pancakes, which stated they came with fruit and there was no fruit. We did ask the waiter who went to the kitchen and came back to tell us the kitchen had no fruit. A break down in conversation between kitchen and front of house, but one that should of been communicated between them both and then to us on point of sale.

Another spoons. I enjoy going to this one however becareful of using the wifi/Internet to pay as I was duplicate charged and had to wait a few days for it to clear.

Always good, in better weather the tables outside are very pleasant. Food and drink good. There were even "haggis specials" on offer. Just a short walk from the main Trafford Centre.

First time in ellam Manchester and loved the food had chicken jalfrazi loved it 10/10

Good food and good atmosphere with TVs that was playing the football , quick service on food too and considering chill factor and play factor are next door it was reasonably quiet but I can only imagine it gets very busy !! Parking was ok too as if you go to either of the venues you can leave your car parked up for max 4 hours

Good atmosphere and great location, shame the food didn't live up to expectations. Overcooked meats, and wrap had hardly any chicken. Not a patch on our usual Weatherspoon haunts. Disappointing.

Staff were nice but the burger was luke warm and small for a double..The pints were lovely and the dining tables needed a good wash with hot soapy water!

Hi, We hadn't had breakfast here for a while so we went a few weeks ago but thought that they were just having a bad day. We gave them another go this morning and I have to say it wasn't nice. We had 2 traditional breakfasts, both were cold again. I ordered black pudding (1 piece?) that tasted deep fried. I also ordered two halves of tomato one burnt black and the other hardly cooked. The toast was also cold and the hash browns soggy and fell apart. We are going to try another Spoons next week. Isn't it awful when you feel the need to write something this critical, it ruined our Sunday morning. The staff are great and very helpful, maybe I should have complained but for me it has to be right the first time and not worth the energy. We spent £16 with the coffee. Thanks for reading. Colin

The atmosphere is more like a lodge with huge windows, no music just crowd talks. Service is fine and food could be improved for some of the dishes. Definitely they will get better even with some improved platting technics. I rate this against other Wetherspoon locations not against rest of pubs.

Usual Wetherspoons fare, reasonable food at reasonable cost with good service . Love the unlimited refills on coffee. What Spoons do they do well.

Not that clean, and almost every time we have been recently something has been wrong with the order. Staff are reluctant to sort missing items from the order. App is very slow and glitchy Last time we waited over 25 minutes just for our drinks. When I asked a member of staff where the drinks were he rolled his eyed and walked away. He then came back after another 5 minutes and aggressively put them on the table.

A great pub and great staff can get very busy at times best using the Wetherspoons app .

The worse meal i ever had here, half the stuff on the menu missing, no meat burgers, no doombar, and about 13 chips no peas, one small slice of tomato, 2 leaves of salad, pathetic, throat bother next time!

A stunning wethespoons with amazing atmosphere and food!! Lovely location and parking is convenient too. The wait was a tiny bit long but that was only because there was a lot of people. Other than that, had a lovely family dinner!

More than enough staff on shift but yet we spent roughly 45 minutes here to tables around us still dirty and unoccupied with staff just stood around having a gossip! Hats off to what looked like the manager of the shift trying to actually go round tidy up. Food was good. However Atmosphere was dull with no tvs on

I think Wetherspoons have a great business model. Good food at reasonable prices. Free refills on tea and coffee a definate plus.

They got our orders wrong twice, not sure what happen that day that nobody was paying attention, food was ok, somethung that you eat once to try ir and never again, so thats how you feel here.

Nice and clean, service was good, but it was very quiet. Food looked lovely.

The food was oh so great and excellent but on the contrary the service was DISPICABLE, I was groped and shoved and ordered to collect the condiments. This not only physically hurt me but also mentally scarred me. Would not recommend, definitely will not be returning after bruises left on my shoulder.

Worst experience I ever had..I’ve been to so many Wetherspoons but it’s the most worst one whenever I visit there no stuff is available and the staff isn’t welcoming I’ve decided to not visit there again.

I ordered an adult alfredo pasta menu for £10.60, my girlfriend ordered a portion of gammon, the pasta was served to me in the same quantity as for a child, I'm going to pay right now and I'm not going to eat it, I was told that the portion seems small for normal, then I was told that it's normal and if I want I have to buy another portion, I've been here a few times, but this will be the last.

The environment is good, but the price is slightly higher than that of restaurants in the same group.

Absolute very poor meal for the price we paid. steak pudding what had been microwaved for to long and then about 8 chips and peas and gravy just poor value for money I will never eat there again...

It's just a weatherspoons, but in a nice location without some of the usual customers so feels a bit cleaner and nicer

Needed tea on the way home from a visit to Manchester and spotted this place. I usually prefer old buildings that JDW restore, but thus was a lovely new build, named after a bridge over the canal. Easy to get to, plenty of parking and great usual standard of food. As my niece said - isn't it ridiculous that you have to go to Wetherspoons rather than a fish and chip drop to get decent fish and chips!

The presentation of this food was horrible like it all be thrown into a plate ! It was so fast which I can’t complain about but at the same time it was rushed ! We then ordered puddings . My crumble an custard was mushed together like a plate of porridge. Won’t be coming here again !! It was supposed to be a Father’s Day meal. Left unhappy.

I'm a regular eater here. I usually go after a long 12 hour shift for some dinner and a pint. This is definitely one of the better Spoons. It is not smelly, or sticky like some. It's not even full of old men with red noses from 8am until close. Maybe because of its location. It is joined onto the Ski slope by the Trafford centre. The food is always good. I usually opt for the mixed grill, and although the cuts of meats do vary in size a lot, it's usually well cooked and filling. And the prices make it not worth buying the stuff, and cooking it at home. Although they prices have snook up in recent years at all Wetherspoons pubs. It used to be £13 for a large mixed grill with a pint. Now it's more like £18. Depending when you go, it can be busy or quiet. Weekends get busy, and evenings. I think people use it before and after skiing or 5 aside football quite a bit. In the afternoons though, it's generally ok. Occasionally you'll get a party in there or kids birthday, so they tend to make a mess like they do. Food arrives quickly tho. Even on busy days I've not waited longer than 20 mins. There is the usual large variety of drinks, shots, wines, cocktails, beers and ales all at a good to reasonable price. There is also a log fire at the far end which is nice in winter. Like most Wetherspoons, they have TV's and speakers set up, but never have them on. The speakers seem like the most pointless things there to be honest. No background music or anything. Occasionally the TVs are in for sports events. The toilets are usually clean and up some stairs....not the usual labyrinth of corridors you get in some Spoons. The disabled is downstairs by the bar, although lazy people will use that too. Parking is usually ok and is free. And there are outdoor seats too which gets very busy when the sun is out as you get a nice sunset from there over Barton Bridge. The staff are efficient, without paying any particular attention to regular returning customers like some places do. It's like they reset their memory for faces at the end of each day 🤣. I have seen other regulars in here quite a lot, and it's usually for food and drinks. Not just usual drunks. So yeah, it's a good one to try out this 👍🏾.

When ordered food the server didn't listen and took the order incorrectly, when the food was delivered to the table and we told about items missing, and we received a shrug of the shoulders and the reciept pushed into our face by the waiter with 80's mullet and the statement that it's not on the receipt.

Very disappointed in the breakfast menu, or lack of the items we wanted. The menu is an extensive one, but when ordering the menu became a lot smaller! There was no fresh fruit for with the yogurt, no option to have brown bread instead of white, no pancakes and no syrup for lattes. On the whole a disappointing start to the day. There had been an evacuation of the premises as we arrived, which ended within 5 minutes. Not very busy but several tables had not been cleared and seem to take ages for someone to clear the items away. The environment is also looking old and tired, could do with an update.

Just walked 45 minutes to get here and for some strange reason it's shut no explanation no note on the door nothing I am a massive Spoon's fan and this has ruined my friday thanks Spoon's also it's 14.00 absolutely no reason to be shut

We decided to have a Birthday dinner here after iFly. Most of the tables were dirty. The table we sat at was sticky and crumbs everywhere. Didn't see any waiter sanitizing or wiping down. Filthy. Waiter looked like his battery was run down. Gourmet burgers were nothing to shout about. BBQ sauce was out of a bottle stone cold. Nothing great. Would rather go to a Beefeater.

Stayed at a Travelodge nearby which does not have a restaurant so this Wetherspoons was very convenient.

Went with family. Food was generally good. Chips were crispy. Chicken was tasty. Food was hot. Service was fine. No complaints. Atmosphere was okay. A bit busy and rowdy but probably much calmer when there are less people in.

Was very busy with the rugby on, not the pubs fault but did kill the atmosphere a bit (had been soft play with young kids and just wanted a chilled bite to eat). Overall a good wetherspoons although got food before drinks due to the rugby lot

Food came quick considering how busy it was. Couldn't fault the food it was spot on. Needed more floor staff as there was a lot of tables that had not been cleaned from previous customers. Lots of parking and easy to get to.

From a distance, the building looked like a car showroom, but inside was clean and modern. It was not my favourite spoons in Manchester. However, the food and service were fine.

Service very slow, order was wrong queried it with the manager who didn’t want to take ownership and tried to push it on to me. ( then, her excuse was they were busy😐oh please. Won’t be returning to this one there are better other Wetherspoons. There was some delightful person outside driving past in a car with kids, and girlfriend sticking his middle finger up at anyone coming out of Wetherspoons. Very childish behaviour but what a great role model to those kids.

Yet another excellent Spoons 🥄 Tasty dinner, good quick service, and friendly staff. There was even a table free for me by the fire 🔥 so I was nice and warm.
