Supper tasty fish supper. Ordered online and ready when I arrived for collection. Staff polite and attentive.

Absolutely brilliant service and all the food I ordered was fantastic. The battered cod was massive and the pizza was delicious. I’m highly impressed. Thanks Emilios, great job all round. 😎

The jacket potato I got was awful. The kabab my partner got was lovely.

I go here for food every Saturday night. Every single week they get the order wrong in some way. Most recently they gave me a single chicken burger instead of a double. The staff are very rude and unfriendly. Got down hill a lot compared to years ago. Extremely disappointing.

We ordered food valentines night it arrived on time about 1hour as usual food really good order was delivered and delicious my husband ordered mixed kebab with lamb and chicken tandoori no salad just onions chilli sauce and garlic mayonnaise instead received another donner kebab with onions so wrong order which was annoying!

“I recently moved to Sale and discovered this place. The food is great, and I can see the effort they put into providing good service. However, I’ve noticed that the owner, I believe his name is Galam or something similar, has a very bad attitude. He treats his employees poorly, often yelling at them, especially when it gets busy. One day, I even saw him on the phone shouting at a driver. I can’t support a business that treats its staff this way, so unfortunately, I’ll have to find another place to go.”

Extremely poor customer service. The only reason I’ve been there few times - nothing else is opened in the area in a lunch time. Food ok but expensive.

The food was unusually poor on this occasion. Chips did not seem fresh at all. Delivery lady was pleasant and friendly, however.

I don't think I've left many online reviews before, prefer to commend the good than hammer the bad, but felt compelled to do so about the meal we've just had delivered. Yes, I could call the business and complain but at this time of the night (10 pm) who can be bothered? Stone cold food, terrible value for money, partly inedible. Chips and onion rings went straight in the bin, actually wouldn't trust them to be safe to eat. Pay for extras? 3 or 4 slices of onion, might as well add it yourself. Tiny portion of chicken on the kebab, 3 or 4 small pieces? Very little salad. Pizza base burnt but topping undercooked. The box looked tastier. £2 delivery charge on a £25 meal. 50p service charge robbed the driver of the £2.50 we'd normally happily give, and 20p bag charge? What the hell is that? Haven't eaten at Emilios for years but many times previously. Never again. In a crowded marketplace there are far, far better choices than this place.

Normally very good. Shower todays order arrived 20 mins late and food stone cold after calling up to complain with phone ringing for 10 mins was told can’t refund as they want the food back. Unbelievable. I received cold food and then have to send the food back to get a credit. Disgraceful

Jacket potato and feta salad is amazing

Wow. Ordered the chicken kebab on garlic bread and it was amazing. Garlic bread was fresh and the Donner was great also. Even get proper chippy chips. Highly recommend.

Just ordered takeaway and left very disappointed... kids asked for little cheese on top on the jacket potatoes and none was added. I mean we was happy to pay extra if there would be this option? Clearly you have cheese at your place since you do pizzas ? Kebab - not so good lamb was so tough I had to give to my dog since I couldn't chew it true. Dry chicken paid for some sort of skewers and it was just covered in salad 3 peaces of chicken... little sauce. Food took 1 hr to arrive was already cold unfortunately. And we were really looking forward for kebab since we haven't got it in a while.

I’ve been ordering food from here for years but over the last few months the pizzas are always burnt and when I was sent a replacement it looked as though it had been dropped on the floor, I’ve started to order from other places now it’s really put me off ordering from Emilio’s

We ordered a chicken kebab and haddock and chips. Both were cooked to order. Both were super delicious. Will be difficult to stay away.

Good quality food but does take its time

1st time using for delivery. Food was 40 minutes late (in total nearly 1 hour 40 mins delivery) had to call takeaway to chase where food was. When it finally arrived food was luke warm. No apology for delay. Won't be using again

Waited over an hour, yet pizza was lukewarm, overcooked and dry, so had clearly been reheated. Very disappointing. I have rang to complain in the past, but they don’t do anything unless you are willing to wait for someone to collect your existing food and then redeliver your order. It’s a shame, because when it’s good it’s really good, but not consistent at all.

We ordered pizzas, garlic bread, chips and crispy chicken strips, and everyone loved the food. The chicken strips were very nice.

I went last night and get dinner for all my family. Everyone was so happy with what we had and what we paid. Try them . Thats why is always busy

Visited this place and Ordered a large chips , a haddock ,& a regular chicken kebab with plain mayonnaise and salad, the older guy on the till, was hopeless, as we must have had to repeat our order to him about 4 times and even after that he asked if we wanted garlic mayo!!?? Again we repeated the order, paid for it and on getting home with our take away it turns out that we were given a small chicken kebab with 4 pieces of chicken in it and the salad consisted of 90% lettuce and little of any onion or anything else, most of it went in the bin, and to top it all the fish was very oily and tasteless, hopeless useless place , wrong orders and very below average food, with the order taken by a blithering idiot, avoid this place

This takeaway has deteriorated and no longer warrants a five star review. Still waiting for a refund on Cheesecake that arrived frozen and therefore inedible.

Collected two steak pies for lunch and certainly not for the first time we found them very dry with the pastry being nas hard as iron so totally inedible. The peas on the other hand were cold and watery. What a disappointment and a complete waste of good money ! Surely it’s a simple matter to warm pies and peas !

Didn't order food, but my housemate did. Didn't try and ring the housemate in question and instead started banging on my windows. When I explained that I didn't know who ordered the food as they're all bedrooms here, he tried to force the food into my hands. I refused it and but he kept trying till I eventually swore at him. He then proceeded to shout up my stairs like he was asking me to do, but no answer was heard., meaning I would have to go door to door to find who's food it was when he could just ring the person. He then finally went and got his phone to ring them like I'd been asking him to do, and he proceeded to misrepresent what happened to my housemates by just saying I swore at him, leaving out how unreasonable he'd been beforehand. Had he forced the food on me like he wanted, I would've ended up knocking on everyone's door to find who it was. If you get an older delivery driver with a ponytail, beware. He'd rather waste both your and his time to try and not do his job properly than just going and ringing his phone. Will never order from this place because they employ drivers who would rather waste everyone's time than go get their phone.

Not good kebab it made me physically sick the chips looked undercooked but pizza and burger were okay aside from the sauce on burger when asked for no sauce

Had a delicious chippy tea last night from Emilios. Good size and tasty haddock. Good size portion of chips and very tasty gravy. Would have preferred peas and gravy in tub instead of on the chips.

Forgot how poor they are at delivery. Once ordered, they advised 60 mins! Actually delivered 90 mins. Poor

this place used to be amazing since its been taken over the service is poor, delivery takes forever (1 hr and 40- not what is quoted) and food is cold and burnt we won't be ordering again!

Waited 2hours for a delivery after being told it was an hour. Phoned up twice. No apology then the female member of staff hung up on me.

I complained before ordering that last time food was cold. But this time it was both tepid and tasteless we are voting with our feet. We will not be back!!!

It’s unbelievable how this place has declined. The Emilio family have left and it’s now ran by children who have absolutely no clue and really do not care about the service or quality of food at all. They leave you on the phone and walk off quite regularly whilst taking your order, get it wrong over and over again and just do not care at all. They’re obviously not invested in the service as the Emilio family were, are probably on minimum wage as a very cheap replacement and the place has gone to the dogs because of it. After 5 times of trying to order from here over the space of several months I’ve given up trying to order from here any more. Never, ever again. Such as shame as it was great in years gone by when it was ran by the Emilio family. However it’s best now to stay away unless you want to be incredibly frustrated and receive terrible food and service.

We live close to Emilio's, and would say they are one of our local favourite takeaways. We made a simple order on a quiet weekday, delivery time was still showing 50 minutes but we placed the order anyway. When it arrived, one of the items we ordered was missing, we reported it via phone, but were then called back and questioned on it, like they didn't believe us. After they finally agreed to remake the missing item, we then opened the rest of the order and realised the food that had arrived was cold. Not what we'd expect, or usually receive. Poor form and with and no apology once they realised they'd made a mistake.

We use delivery occasionally for many years. Great to support an independent. So far excellent quality and delivery, not been let down yet over maybe 20 times.

I messed up the order and ordered from the wrong Emilio's, but when I turned up to collect they sorted everything out, turned out order round quickly and it was the usual Emilio's tasty standard.

We have been going to Emilios for years, and we all agree that the consistency and quality at the moment is the best it’s ever been. We’re never disappointed, and we all have different things. The chips are excellent.

Really good kebabs, best south of Chorlton. Frantic behind the counter, it's a sign of popularity. Their app is better than the generic delivery ones. If you have to wait when you're collecting an online order, it's because they want to hand it over as fresh as possible.

Last 4 orders had missing items… some of them main foods and having to wait for them to send it again, one time they didn’t believe us and argued on the phone, waste of time

It’s alright, but used to be best in the area and then some. Sadly not any more - online orders generally never have salt and vinegar when requested, chips always taste like the oil needs changing in the fryer, those sort of things. Acceptable but just not that special anymore.

I'm a regular to Emilio's the food is great but I only gave 3 points for service as their app and online options are largely reduced from when you visit the store in person. Their kebabs and jacket potato's are my favourite. Always seems to be fresh and good value for money.

Worst kebab I've ever bought. I asked for a mixed kebab with chilli sauce and got 4 tiny pieces of chicken and lamb and the naan bread they served it on was tiny, chilli sauce was nowhere to be seen and it cost over £13. Go to pepper mill a few yards down the road.

This place has been here for over 30 years. Remember my mum and dad ordering from here when I was a kid and I've gotta say that I still love it. It's clearly doing something spot on to have lasted all this time

I ordered piri chicken kabab I got 4 small pieces of cold chicken and rest was salad never had such a small portion anywhere before im still hungry

I live in Sale and have used Emilio's for years, last night I ordered a Cypriana pizza and chips, thinking I couldn't go wrong. Horrible sloppy pizza and under cooked chips, absolutely terrible.

Was very good but now its been taken over it’s shocking. Pictures show how bad my pizzas were even the bottom of them were charcoal 🤯

Its obvious they take no care to read the notes on your order as you never get what you ask for especially when ordering a kebab and now they dont even add the sauces they give you tiny little pots of each and between two people??? Its obvious this has been turned into we couldn't careless about the customers and quality of food we just want to make as much money as possible type of business ! So I wouldn't bother complaining it's a case of the customer is always WRONG ! Good luck with running it into the ground

Foods dead nice but don’t ask for bacon on your burger. If you want that you’ll need to go to the peppermill up the road.

Not a bad chippy but not my 1st go to, we ordered here tonight part of our order was a meat pie, it was awful! Pastry hard and the meat inside was very dry. chips, peas,gravy was ok

I’ve just been in Emilios after the handover....which was ages ago. I left as they advertised a chippy that the new owners could even cook chips. I returned ages after tonight to see if it had improved, Hell no! Ex staff looked they’re staying from loyalty to Sale customers whilst tolerating new owners whom have ZERO customer skillls. Tonight a lad walked in the cooking area with head set on chewing gum, I asked if my meal was ready and he just “dissed me “ welcome back ! The fine man who was standing in for Nick recognised me and was sooo friendly, finally a blast from the past. What on earth the full mute elderly lady was doing on prep pizza duty was doing god only knows. Change the name change the poor service change the many staff that tolerate customers and get proper people in that can mat h the ex staffs cookin skills and customer retention Wow rant over #nevergoingback

One of if not the best all round take aways in Sale. Beautiful garlic bread with cheese, beautiful pizzas, kebabs on par with some kebab only places, fresh chips, nice burgers and also a selection of your usual fish and chip shop fare. I tend to stick to kebab and garlic bread when we visit here but I would happily try anything on the menu as the quality we have always had has been great. Worth a visit especially for the pizzas and garlic bread imo.

Been eating from here for donkeys years and it’s always been good. the last order wasn’t great but this one is awful. Americano pizza is wet and sloppy. Can’t eat it. Literally can’t pick it up and on using a fork for a mouthful, no flavour. “Spicy beef” is now cubes of nothing. A waste of money. Sorry , I always support local businesses but not this one anymore. Awful.

Since this place got sold out from Emilio it has been a total disgrace… Cold food, wrong orders and very very rude staff. Such a shame after years and years of being the best takeaway ever ….

Ordered various items and 3 potions of Chips, the Chips were the worst chips I have ever had, totally Inedible. They were bascially white and you coudlnt even chew them, I rang up to complain and they made an excuse about the type of potatoes that they were using, Not even an offer to refund.

We have enjoyed fish chips peas and curry for tea well impressed. We will certainly have these again .Much improvement on our last order. Maybe new owners?

I popped into Emilios to pick up some chips about 1 hour ago. When I go home 10 mins later I found they were overcooked, hard and chewy. I am surprised someone could serve them to a customer.

Had the large shish lamb kebab on naan, and it wasn't very good at all. Although the lamb was cooked well, it wasn't seasoned with anything, the salad was just lettuce, the naan was a small doughey shop bought thing, and the chilli and yoghurt sauces were tastless. Very bland - would not bother again.

Fridays wrap i would have recommended to anyone todays was cold chicken and when i fold the man he just stared at me with NO reply so wemt in bim wasted my hard earned money

Very poor communication between staff, no idea how they're running a business like this. 1.5 hrs waiting to be told "it should be cooking still because its not out for delivery" I asked can you check, "okay it's not cooking, so it must be out for delivery already" but couldn't confirm that it was or wasn't 🤦🏻‍♀️ 30 mins later, "it's front of the queue waiting for a driver" but no idea how long he will be.... Utter incompetence. The staff here don't know what's going on in their own kitchen, complete lack of initiative and made no apology whatsoever.

Ordered for collection at 5:42pm, was told to collect at 6:12pm. Still waiting. It's now 6:34pm...why give a time for collection if you aren't going to make the food until we arrive to collect?

Ordered a pizza and chicken kebab. Pizza was like cardboard and very greasy and the kebab was so plain.

Constant delays, was told 3 times it’s left only for the next member of staff not to know what has been said and said it’s leaving in a minute. 1hr 45mins for a delivery round the corner. Never use again . Has been like this for a while now but enough is enough.

Sad to say, we have all eaten from Emilios, being born and bred in Sale, for many many years... tonight we all fancied Emilios fish and chips, it was vile and soggy and very unappealing, the staff were really unprofessional behind the counter and you know the place looks tired and dare I say dirty to how it used to be, I think Emilios would be bitterly disappointed! the place has gone to pot... it will be my last time ever eating from Emilios and I can safely say the family feel the same.
