Ben Chippy, Fis And Chip Shop in Manchester

Late, yet again. Phoned the place and no apology. They’re 5 min from me yet showing as ‘with the driver’ for 20 min. Phoned them to see where it was to be told ‘you’ll have to ask the driver’. This has happened before. Very poor customer service, had to cancel the order as they couldn’t tell me when it’d arrive. Nice food from previous collection order but let down by the delivery.

Ordered food from here on Uber Eats. What we received makes a mockery of the review system on that app. Naan breads had very little taste. The chicken dhansak my wife had was below average. Nothing offensive but not good by any stretch. My sons chicken tikka masala was absolutely awful. The only reason I very kindly gave them two stars is because a donner kebab that was with the order was okay. Not nice, but passable. The portions were a little mean too. These places are all charging top money for this food now. As such, it was massively overpriced for what we received.

Solo pedimos queso y pastel de cebolla con papas fritas. Abrí la caja para encontrar un plato de queso y cebolla bien por debajo. Era un pedazo de pastel frío y plano que sabía viejo y recalentado o como si hubiera estado allí sentado durante mucho tiempo. Las patatas fritas eran de Luke cariñosas y muy picantes. Yo puse el lote como incomible. No es la primera vez que tengo una mala experiencia con la comida inglesa en este restaurante. La última vez que el pescado probó. Solo pensé que podrían haber mejorado, por desgracia no. Evita este lugar si quieres comida inglesa. Aunque hacen un muy buen curry y kebabs. Necesitan dejar de vender comida inglesa. El personal también es muy grosero. Es una pena.

He estado en Ben chippy después de un tiempo por su plato de autor, que amablemente preparan con masala picante especial. Durante años he comido Ben's Special Grill Mix, mezclado con salsa picante de curry. El chef agrega un poco de chile picante especialmente para mí. La mezcla incluye pollo kebab, doner de cordero, cordero kebab, sheesh kebab, etc. . . . todo arrojado sobre una sartén caliente de salsa de curry picante y presentado sobre un pan naan recién hecho. . . . . . mmm. . . . . Keema en arroz. . . . . . plato encantador. El keema se hace un poco más picante para mí. . . . . Disfrutamos de los platos al contenido de corazones! ! ! El chef no ha olvidado la leve variación que me gusta de mi parrilla. . . . . me hizo sentir bien con esta personalización. . . con suerte, volveremos pronto.

Simplemente come, no lo hagas, tuve otro problema con Ben Chippy nuevamente en Moston Manchester, la última vez que los usé fue en octubre de 2016, me enviaron comida fría, esta vez me mintieron sobre los tiempos de entrega y cancelé el pedido y aún así lo entregaron aproximadamente 90 minutos después de realizar el pedido, y el conductor no pareció agradecerse por la cancelación que se envió. Contactados solo comieron larga historia dijeron que el gerente / propietario iba a venir personalmente y pedir disculpas y darnos el reembolso en efectivo, esperó en la noche siguiente Sin administrador no disculpa, no efectivo, contactado simplemente comer, solo querían dar un cupón para usar en el mismo restaurante, una locura increíble, les dije que quería un reembolso completo y un cupón para usar en otra comida para llevar en el futuro, básicamente no, no podemos hacer eso para que pueda obtener el servicio de basura de la comida para llevar, servicio de basura de solo comer, así que no lo hagas, el resultado es que obtendremos un reembolso, pero puede llevar hasta 7 días hábiles, un servicio y una actitud absolutamente deficientes, por lo que 300 millones de dólares más en facturación irán a solo comer a 20 % pague 60 millones más y deje el Reino Unido a las personas que no les importa qué comida / servicio reciba, siempre y cuando reciban su salario, así que por favor no lo haga.

food arrived very late, greasy and very cold..chocolate cake frozen..very disappointing

Once upon a time used to use this place as a take-away quite often. Now sadly this has changed as delivery drivers old or new now refuse to deliver to front door if you happen to live in a flat, they ring you and ask you to go down to collect it. Have no intension's of doing this when other take-aways are only too eager to call at actual front door.

only ordered 3 meals and only 2 was delivered and they was cold won't be ordering from here again

The food was fantastic the only slight complaint is I didn't like the onion bhjais but I'm use to proper Indian ones as I have alot of Asian friends. The delivery driver was nice too & a lady which I thought was really good as we fought for equal rights, would definitely recommend to friends & family & colleagues, wish I could give more than 5*

The food was ok but firstly I booked it well in advance to be delivered at 8pm and it was 15 minutes late. Then the delivery driver rang before he got here to ask us to go outside to collect the order. He said he was at carpark gate which is a few minutes walk away from where we waited - at the front door. Then he decided to drive around the block and go to the back entrance which meant walking back to the front door, through the building and back out the other way and he then parked by the wrong block this all took nearly ten minutes to sort out. Then 3 portions of chips were forgotten from the order. I tried to ring the store repeatedly but it was engaged. I then rang the delivery driver. He said he would sort it out with the store.i heard nothing further from either the shop or him. It was my first time ordering from there and I won't be ordering again.

I use this take away alot and normally am very happy but ordered something different tonight and I wish I didn't. I would be very surprised if the steak pudding is Hollands as advertised - it was not good quality and unfortunately vinegar was on the chips when left a note on the order not to add. It wouldn't be a big issue unless you dont like vinegar. One drink missing too tonight. Though to balance the feedback out; the curry, rice, pizza and desserts were perfect as usual. Normally everything is perfect.

had to ring up the takeaway twice driver was saying he was outside to the shop manager who I was on the phone to which he wasn't as I was waiting outside food arrived in soaking wet paper that it was wrapped up in and arrived barely hot had to warm it up in microwave a piece of the chicken had a big bone in it and overall the food wasn't good the carrier bag it came in was probably more edible onion bhajis were burnt they went in the bin total waste of money won't be ordering from here again really disappointed

I rely on reviews before making an order so pay back by leaving mine too. Firat time ordering from here. It was 25 minutes early delivered by a friendly chap so that was brilliant. The food we ordered was fresh and very hot despite being delivered. Garlic bread was fresh pizza bread which was delicious. I would order from here again. Prices reasonable. I also like the way the place replied to reviews showing that they do care; responsible traders.

I asked for no salad on my kebab it arrived with salad on spent 5 minutes removing the salad for some reason it big pieces of pepper on it other than that it was ok.

What was supposed to be Plain donner and chicken tikka kebab no salad, chilli sauce had vegetables like peppers and onions!!!! He couldn't eat it due to allergies. My medium chicken and donnor was larger than his large kebab and although I specifically ordered lettuce cucumber and onions, it came with 4. Slices of cucumber, less than a kids handful of lettuce and what looks like 2 onions worth of diced onions wasn't the best kebab. STOVE balti are great theirs. My egg fried rice has cinnamon in it!!!! Everyone who tasted it said the same. Sorry not the best when you've tasted better. And for those who are confused like I was... It is nothing like your local Chinese chippy.

Both my wife and I thought that both the meals were excellent and could not have been better, so full marks to The Ben Chippy.

always order from this place and it's usually great. just recently theyve been real tight with their chips portions. they seem to be more like scraps than actual chips. we order from here because the chips are good but not lately. they've gone down hill.

Lamb was soft and tender really enjoyed what I orderd and good value for money my only critercism was that the meat and potatoe samosa was actually just potatoe and peas no meat atall maybe they sent vegatarian ones I will be ordering again and trying many dishes off your menu delivery was on time as well great stuff

I have tried so many curies from Ben Chippy. They are all too salty, including the rise. Why the chef has to put salt on the rise? The chef should visit the doctor and have his or her blood pressure checked. I am not surprised why many Asians people suffer from blood pressure. They consume too much salt.

The pizza was okay. But I am disappointed that it was thin crust. I prefer deep pan pizza. Thin crust are not like the original pizzas.

Ordered a ham and mushroom pizza with fresh tomato and onion. Paid for the two extra toppings and never got them!

Cold & uncooked food. Fish was cold & not fully cooked, chips too hard, Gravy was too thick, peas were like they come out of freezer, mince meat was too oily & even pizza or pie was just warm enough to eat straight away. First time ordering from here but wont again for sure. Very poor level food, however delivery was 10 mins before the time & the driver was polite.

Part of the meal was all over the bag. Restaurant replaced it but their drivers need to be a bit more careful when handle people's orders.

Meal was delicious but naan was doughy and tasteless, don't see the point in ordering + paying extra for flavoured naan when the flavour is just dough.

Food is normally good, but this time they forgot the chips, which were an integral part of the meal, rang them over an hour ago. (they said they'd be here soon) still not arrived... Come on guys?!!

Ordered Donner Kebab, Garlic bread with cheese and chips + gravy, Kebab was dry and tasted like it had been warmed up, garlic bread was cold and overly greasy (took a bite and all I got was the taste of oil) luckily the chips had been nice but sadly I didnt get to eat them I will not be ordering from this place again

The Fish, chips and cheese half pounder burger was wonderful. Nice and hot and very delicious. However, the chicken burger was horrible. It was not real chicken breast. It was compressed chicken that tasted nothing like chicken. Even my cats would not eat it.

Food was poor-adequate. Korma was basically chicken in coconut milk. Rice was okay. Kebab was enormous but for some reason everything was red, including the salad. Poppadoms were good. Garlic bread was okay.

If I could give zero, I would! Food is way below average and I understand about a take away trying to save money but just under £1 for bisto gravy? I had that in the cupboard! The peri peri chicken wasn't even cooked properly....

I ordered chips with the burger, instead I received rubbish fries, cold, rubbery that had been re-heated. I had to bin the chips. what on earth happened to the normal chips that you used to deliver? The buns of the burger were soaked with beef fat because the buns were not toasted enough. I have wasted money to throw food into the bin.

The curry the sauce wasn't as described , it was totally different. The 'fries' were cold and hard and the inside of the chicken wigs were pink as if they were uncooked whereas the outside of it was burned and crispy.

I ordered a Chicken Donner on naan and they delivered a Donner on naan jnstead. Not only was I left dissapointed by the error, I was also left out of pocket due to the disparity in price. I am also not sure that I should have to heat my delivered food up to safe temperatures myself. This whole experience was tedious at best.
