It's a good sports pub if that's what you are after. Staff were very polite and friendly. The Guinness was absolutely brilliant £5 a pint. It's a long walk to the toilet lol

We bought 2 chicken tikka masala it was very good and tasteful, recommend it but i did not like the nana bread

Great place for watching football, screens everywhere and whilst the atmosphere isn't the best, due mainly to the layout of the place, the staff are friendly and it delivers.

A great pub to start your night off at, came to watch the match before heading further into Manchester. Great drinks and served by Mikey who was great throughout

- Table App Service didn't work so we had to go up to the bar after 20 minutes of waiting to ask where our two drinks were - Paramedics had to come in because there was an incident involving a person urinating on the seats - The 'Cider 6' (Lilley's) tasted of ridiculously over-sweetened calpol so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone popping in for a cider. The rose was nice though! - Even though it was only 7pm and not many people in, the music was incredibly loud - Reasonably priced drinks menu - Lots of TV screens about showing live sports

Great pub, always busy, but staff are great at keeping the queue to a minimum. Haven't tried the food yet, so I can't comment, but I have seen several dishes being brought out that look nice!

Service was excellent, very friendly staff and beer was reasonably priced.

Got a shock 7 years since i was last in here and hasnt changed. Use to be the hogshead. It's looking bit tired , needs a lick of paint, bit of a clean up. It was pretty quiet for a city centre pub. Use to be mega busy back in the day. Girl behind bar was very pleasant, she seemed to be doing most of the work. I'm not one to slate a person, but maybe it's quiet because 2 guys behind the bar how can I put it really scruffy one looks like he hasnt washed the shirt for years other guy not far behind him. Maybe that's why not many people in, very off putting. And they need to smile. Maybe another 7 years before I go again.

£7 a pint for snide Sky Sports for United games. Get in the bin.

Staff are lovely and super helpful. Amazing atmosphere and vibes. Started coming here after classes with my buddy's and will continue to come back. 10/10 would recommend.

Hardly anyone in yet when I wanted food I was told one hour wait?? Really disappointed with the service ☹️

Went in for a quick beer and a bite to eat. Friendly welcome from the staff and a chat. I ordered and paid but then they realised they didn't have the item - they were happy to change the meal.

One of the old proper pubs left. Feel very welcome and at home there. Staff are great and extremely friendly. More like your local but in the centre of M/cr

Great place to have a drink. And they serve San Miguel so it gets my vote. The menu looks great and the offers they have are also great will go back to try the food .Bar staff friendly and welcoming. One downside toilets are up some very long stairs, but when you do get to them, they are the cleanest toilets I've seen in a very long time, so it's worth the climb . disabled toilets are on the grand floor Can recommend this pub fantastic for sports as it as a number of TV all round the pub .

Very strange service from 1 member of the bar staff. He charged me £9.25 for a pint of Neck Oil and a glass of draft Diet Coke. I did query the price but he assured me it was correct. I'm fairly sure my Coke was full fat. Next time I ordered a pint of Neck Oil and a pint of Strongbow. This was £9.30. Only 5p more than my previous order. Is a pint of cider only 5p more than a glass of Coke? Oh, I was also given Moretti instead of Neck Oil. It was mid afternoon and quiet. It's never been great for service here. The bar is frequently unmanned but staff turn up eventually. Today though was particularly poor even though I only expected mediocre service.

lovely little pub, only downside was a table of men cat calling teenage girls 🥲 also got charged for 2 dashes of lemonade with every order even when just ordering pints!

Came in for the England game on Wednesday, was served by a lovely bar tender named Georgia. She was really friendly and helpful.

Great sports bar, came to watch the football and had a great evening. Husband knows what beer he likes and but we got talking to Georgia and she recommended something for him to try, which was great. Will be back soon

Came in for a euros game, so many tvs, loved the 241 cocktails and Georgia served us and chatted away about football. Loved the vibe of the pub and can wait to return :))

Came in to watch the Portugal game, not packed but still a good atmosphere and the staff were great. I believe Georgia served us and recommended neck oil for an IPA, being from the states we’d not heard of this but trusted her recommendation. Good English pub and would go back again :)

Came for the football, and it was packed! But anywhere you sit you get a good view of a screen! 10/10 for me!

Good sports pub if you are out with the lads, not so good if you want a night out with your wife.

Not bad! Service is good, food is pretty good (they have an app you can order on so you can be totally lazy..) and a good selection of pints. Loud, crowded, but fine for us that aren’t 25 in a hen-do. 🤣

The place has no clear communication. No considerations for the guests who have booked a table 3 weeks before. Table was given to someone else right away and I had to look for another place to go. Not recommended to go this place as table might be given to anyone even if you have a reservation.

Went to watch the boxing lots of screens and seating available. Fair priced drinks good service.

Nice pub..friendly staff ...especially Georgia who made us some lush cocktails and made us feel welcome. Will visit again when next in Manchester

Didn't have food popped in for a drink on a busy Saturday even though it was busy the speed of service was great and Georgia behind the bar was so polite and had great customer service a great asset to the venue will be back again

I had a fantastic lunch with my colleagues in Manchester. The team was friendly, and Shelly, the manager, was very accommodating. I enjoyed the experience so much that I will definitely be coming back next time I'm in town. I hope that next time we can try some cocktails! Someone highly recommended the Lost Dene and I can see why – it was great! 👍

We had an amazing time at The Lost Dene, cool atmosphere, comfortable temperature, and the speed of service was quick. There's loads of screens so we can watch the footie, but unfortunately they show Liverpool sometimes... fortunately, Liverpool lost, and by fortunately I mean expectedly. Dylan served with nothing but an infectious smile with a speedy but thorough delivery of our orders, we will definitely be back again. love from, Manchester, and the rest of the UK population

Ok evening but the football commentary was way too loud and couldn't hear ourselves speaking and had to ask to turn down which they did.

We came to the lost dene back in December at that time there were no issues and everything was perfect so due to this I recommended this establishment to my family. We ate here on Good Friday 29th March 2024. Unfortunately the experience was beyond unbelievable I ordered some food and 1 dish came out which wasn't even anywhere close to the meal that had been ordered. The replacement dish was then made up for it to be brought out half an hour later causing us to be delayed with our evening. The second dish that I found utterly disgraceful and wouldn't have served this to anybody was a fish which appeared to have hardly any fish in the batter. As for the server who served our food. Well I have to say I have never seen such poor and disgusting customer service in my entire life as she basically pushed my husband to the side and barged him out the way. Her whole demeanor shouted rudeness. She wouldn't acknowledge what she had done to my husband. When asking for the manager or even their name no one came to discuss anything with us, we were told that someone would be right with us and no one came to speak to us about the issues that we had!!! I have included a picture of the fish that was brought out to us.

Came too watch a gig in Manchester and honestly the food was amazing and the service was quick!

Came in for food and a beer before a gig. The food was spot on!! Had a mixed Grill. Steak was perfect! The staff are welcoming and friendly. Everything you need from a pub. Would definitely recommend. Oh and the Guinness was perfect. Thanks for having us!

I Booked a Table in Here to Specifically Watch the Carabo Cup Final Sunday 25th February after looking at there website and it was advertised, we went in at 2.30 pm ready for a 3PM Kick off, Half the Pub had Rugby on the Other Half Showing the Wolves Game, we got our Drinks served in Plastic Glasses !! and got shown to our Table which had its own small screen, perfect i thought also plenty of Large screens around, at 2.55pm still no L/Pool V Chelsea on 5 mins to Kick off, with a lot of Bemused Liverpool fans and Chelsea Fans Looking around, so i went to the Bar and said the Cup Final starts in 5 mins he said it will be going on after the Wolves Game 45 Mins to Go !! i said no way there are people waiting for this game so the changed it 1 minute to Kick off, but the Rugby Commentary was coming through the Speakers so i went back to the bar and told them they changed the sound for the football,also the Rugby was showing on our Small screen so i switched it off, we had it on the Big Screens and it started to Buffer and Freeze, Customers were not happy as well as us, they then rebooted the System which it turns out they Use NOW TV to Stream !!!! by the first half we must have seen 15 mins of the Game needles to say we left along with a lot of others, we manged to get into BOX over the road standing room only but got to watch the Second Half no problem and Drinks in a proper Glass, and the Toilets in The Lost Dene were awful as you can see from my Pictures, sorry avoid this place.

Visited the Lost Dene whilst visiting Manchester on Friday evening. The staff were really welcoming and friendly and the pub had a lovely atmosphere . We will definately return on our next visit to Manchester due to the great team. Thank You for a great visit!

Really enjoyed our all day breakfast and beer/wine. The service was with a smile and I thought the food and drink was reasonably priced. The only thing that was a little disappointing was that the menus and tables were a bit sticky.
