Food was great , Alan manager was very accommodating, table we had was very cramped but moved us in a heartbeat , all staff were pleasant and made sure we were OK and food was quick and hot , definitely will go again.

We visit once a week and have done for many years. I would like to say how flavoursome the carvery is I do believe you have a new chef named Karl he is a credit to your establishment. Also Michelle the waitress she gave excellent service very well done see you again soon.

Update - Upon Speaking To The Manager Charlotte, We Were Offered A Full Refund Plus Complimentary Meals To Return and Give Them Another Try, I Can Confidently Say that After 2 More Visits This Establishment Is A Lovely Place To Visit, We Visited For Tea/Dinner And I Had The Chicken Medley From The Non Gluten Containing Menu, All Allergy Guidelines Were Followed and The Food Was Even Flagged As An Allergy Dish, The Food Itself Was Lovely, Good Portion and Enjoyable, My Partner Had The Combo Stack Burger and He Had A Much Better Dining Experience All Round, The Staff Couldn’t Have Been More Helpful, We Also Visited Today For Dinner/Lunch I Had The Gammon Steaks From The Non Gluten Containing Menu, and My Partner Had A Carvery, My Meal Was Honestly Some Of The Nicest Gammon I’ve Eaten, The Potato It Came With Was Lovely Soft and A Good Size, My Partner Said The Carvery Was An Amazing Meal Also, We Will Definitely Be Returning and Feel Our Original Visit Was Just Genuinely A Bad Day, And Since We Can Confirm That All Allergy Protocols Have Been Carried Out and All Food Comes Out In A Timely Manner and Is Delicious! Original Review:- We Walked In And Upon Being Greeted We Were Seated In A Lovely Quiet Area, We Looked At The Menu and Decided To Try To Order On The App But It Didnt Work Which Is Noones Fault, However When I Went To The Bar To Order The Staff Member Was Rude, Rolling Her Eyes, Huffing and Just Clearly Didn't Want To Be There, I Ordered and Was Then Questioned How Many People Were Sat At Our Table As If To Say We’d Ordered Too Much For 2 People (We Orders 2 Starters 2 Mains), I Was Asked If I Was “Sure” We Were On A 2 Person Table, I Also Ordered A Strawberry Daiquiri and Was Given A Strawberry Slush With A Shot Of Rum, Went Back To Table And Waited For Our Food, Upon Receiving Our Starters We Were Happy With The Portion Size and Quality Of The Food, However The Mains Were A Different Story, My Partners Food Came With Tomato On His Burger After We Requested No Tomato On It, Fine We Can Remove, However I Ordered A Gluten Free Chicken Medley With Supposedly Was 2 Chicken Breasts With Cheese and An Italian Napolitano Sauce, I Received Chicken Covered In Breaded Batter, That Was Dripping With Grease, A Small Amount Of Cheese and No Sauce, Which I Couldn’t Eat Due To The Batter and Grease

Katrina is so accommodating and such a nice member of staff, she is a credit to you all. She ended up pouring me three glasses of Coke as they were flat, we ended up having a chat & a laugh, nothing was too much for her. I recently visited Evenwood Farm for a carvery, and I have to say, the experience was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Penny, who was the perfect host. Her friendly demeanor and genuine enthusiasm set the tone for a wonderful meal. The carvery itself was top-notch – delicious meats cooked to perfection, an impressive selection of fresh vegetables, and all the trimmings you could hope for. Everything was beautifully presented, and the quality was clear in every bite. What truly made the experience memorable, though, was Penny. She went above and beyond to ensure everyone felt at home, checking in on us with a lovely smile and making sure everything was just right. Her attention to detail and commitment to excellent service truly stood out. The pub was still open for us in this bad whether! We had carvery it was so good!

Went for carvery 3.1.25, was not happy at all. Paid at bar and went to collect meal, waited 10 mins for chef to appear from the kitchen, (empty handed so obviously not been for refills) I had turkey and beef hubby had gammon and turkey, Yorkshire puddings and pigs in blankets...went on and picked roasties, mash and veg, added gravy and went to the table to enjoy the meal. Meat was ok, roasties were overdone and dried up, new potatoes had been there a long time as the outside was hard yet inside was ok. Sprouts were rock hard carrots were edible, cheesy mash and plain mash was nice, pigs in blankets were very undercooked and quite grey in colour. Gravy was ok, Yorkshire puddings were a joke, rock hard and inedible. But all in all I would have been ashamed to serve up such a meal. I'm sure some of the food laid out should have been removed and replaced after been reheated as per food hygiene regulations. Will not be returning to pay for such an enedible meal and will not recommend anyone to go there for a carvery. Did not complain at the time as I know the answer would have basically been it's personal taste. It wasn't just personal taste, it was bad food, left too long under warming lights, frozen veg and roast potatoes. Out of 10* gave 2* and they were for mash and gravy!!

There was hair in my son's dinner. Not only did Katrina replace the meal, she went above and beyond to ensure our visit was a very memorable one. She deserves a massive pay rise and is an excellent member of your staff

Attended as a family as part of a larger group to the turkey and tinsel event. Food was spot on, staff were working so hard to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible due to so many large groups in attendance. Entertainment was fun. My dad has dementia and all staff who interacted with him treated him with patience and respect. That to me is worth it's weight in gold. Thanks to Carol and all of the staff today who made a lot of people very happy at this event. And thank you for working so hard to keep things going despite the amount of people who attended. We meet family on a regular basis at Evenwood Farm. The staff are always welcoming and happy to reserve tables for us. The food is hot, plentiful and good value for money. The desserts are fantastic. Food is brought out promptly and is tasty.

upon arrival I was greeted by harry who took me and my partner and her son to the table upon ordering food it came at a timely manner we then had a conversation with katrina about the Christmas dinners and she went out of her way to get the information we required plus extra information just in case we needed katrina is a brilliant individual who will go out of her way to help in anyway she can

Went for breakfast here this morning plenty to choose from staff we polite and friendly greeted us when we arrived and said goodbye when we left as well as the buffet breakfast you can choose egg Benedict,bacon batch, avocado with eggs etc you can also pay for a refillable tea or you can choose coffee ,orange juice etc but I don’t think that a refillable option all nice and clean any down side the food could of been a little hotter and bacon very fatty and toast in a dish so that’s cold

Reserved online for 3 people, 5pm earlier this evening ( Sunday ). Although it was extremely busy, we were shown to our seats quickly and ordered our drinks which were delivered to our table in no time. All 3 of us ordered from the menu . . . mains and dessert. We all enjoyed our meals and every member of staff that we encountered was courteous and attentive. A special mention though to Alan and Helen. . . who was especially helpful changing our order. We'll definitely be returning soon. If you fancy a carvery, maybe go at 6pm rather than 5pm as the queue was a lot shorter and the restaurant far quieter.

Went with friends that had travelled from a distance but everything was good! Staff were extra helpful and accommodating. Food was good. We all had a carvery and I am still full 3 days later! Tasty and good variety. Chap at the desk seating us and a particular young lady behind the bar exceeded expectations

We've been here 3 times in the last few months to celebrate family birthdays, each time staff have been lovely and really helpful. We've kept coming back mainly because of the gluten free options on the menu/carvery, staff are always ever so hopeful in checking. Special mention to the girls on shift tonight they were amazing.

We had our festive works for this afternoon there was 9 of us in the party. The food was delicious and the staff so helpful and friendly. People should give more thanks to the staff here especially over the Christmas period. They all work so hard it’s so nice to see such a genuinely welcoming face from the managers when you enter, we had one member of the party with an allergy, and Charlotte (I believe is her name) couldn't do any more to help and ensure food was safe for my friend. Walked in dead in 11 for breakfast when they usually stop serving at 11. They kept it open for us and made sure there was enough of everything available and they even cooked more bacon for us. Lovely carvery Sunday roast with the family, been coming for years and it's still one of the best in my opinion.

Good selection of vegetables and potatoes. Food wasn't hot when it arrived but still ok to eat. Enjoyed it

Highly disappointed as the food was cold, the roast potatoes could have bounced off the wall they was that hard and the green beans were soggy! I was not told where to collect the food from even though I spoke to a staff member. I only live 10 minutes away so the food should not have been that cold.

Good food and value for money. Especially nice gammon, parsnips, runner beans, Yorkshire puddings and roasted potatoes. But is there a food preparation/storage issue as both PIB (pigs in blanket) and the crumble of the apple crumble (both fatty foods) tasted stale. Then at arrival, why does the reception waiter try to sit you right next to a noisy table in a practically empty room?

Came in today as a group of 9 some of are party travelled from wales for a carvery as they love coming here. When we arrived we was welcomed by Charlotte on the door we all had carvery and was served by Liam always very welcoming when at carvery Natasha and Kandice came to check everything was okay with our meals highly recommend this place.

Went on 24 Oct 2024. Belated birthday meal for myself and sister in law. Party of 5 adults and two children. Arrived at 6.20 and was told carvery closed as run out of stuff. We placed order from main menu and were informed there was a 30 min delay. 45 mins later still waiting so we asked what was happening. Also noticed that carvery was open Then they brought the children’s meals, but completely wrong ones so we sent them back. asked how long and they said about 30-40 mins. We went to complain and asked for a refund of 1 adult and the two children’s meals as they were hungry and couldn’t wait any longer. When we asked the manager what the problem was we were told a lot of checks on in kitchen. 30 min later they came with one of the adult meals which again was incorrect ordered plain chicken burger got double beef burger, again sent back. Other 3 adult meals arrived only luke warm and my chicken didn’t looked cooked, there was a watery substance under the chicken. Finally the chicken burger arrived again Luke warm. There was no checkbacks or apology given so we left. Would not go back there again.

Had the worse experience here,booked a table for birthday meal no carvery on as run out of meat,then waited over a hour for food an when it come was missing cheese an bacon on burgers then 1 of the kids burger was still frozen so did get another one but by time it arrived we were leaving so had to take it home.

Food was lovely nice fresh vegetables on the carvery, meat was lovely. Plenty of choice. Staff were friendly on arrival and throughout the meal. The best place to eat in the Runcorn area.

Gorgeous food as always. We love coming here the foods always fantastic and the staff are so helpful and approachable. We had our wedding dinner here in August 2023 and everyone raved about the quickness of service and the carvery. Allen on the door who greets you is always so lovely and happy to help with anything you need. Highly recommend the Evenwood to anyone who is looking for some good hearty pub food.

We headed to Evenwood, as the kids were wanting to try the new cake on offer, and it didn’t disappoint … the new Halloween one!, so tasty we even had ice cream worth a visit!
