We come often and the food is always amazing. Breakfast is buffet style with THE nicest sausages and hash browns. The carvery is absolutely outstanding. The meat is cooked to perfection, the veg is so fresh it looks like it’s HD. We come out of town to here at least once a week. All the staff are amazing and couldn’t do enough. We love it here.

Came for a meal with my children and partner, couldn’t fault the service, Alan showed us to our table and looked after us why we were there, very polite man and great customer service skills, went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our visit.

Breakfast was lovely today as usual, the chef 👨‍🍳 cooks a good breakfast as she normally does. Staff are amazing and friendly with a good atmosphere who make you feel welcome.

Popped in for quick tipple after a shopping trip, pub its usual busy self … quite long queues with only 2 behind the bar .. but in fairness they shifted it rather quickly !! We ordered on the app and was quickly severed by a very pleasant young lady called Katrina… she was lovely and very attentive!! Keep up the great work x

I visited Evenwood Farm early on a Sunday evening, and while I expected it to be busy due to the carvery, I was pleased that my friends and I were seated quickly, even without a reservation. The gentleman who seated us was friendly and welcoming, which set a good first impression. However, the overall experience was let down by the attitude of the bar staff. They seemed disinterested and unapproachable, making us feel like serving us was a chore. I completely understand that a busy shift can be stressful—I’ve worked in hospitality myself—but even during the most hectic times, a basic level of friendliness and professionalism should still be maintained. It wasn’t just one staff member having an off day; the general atmosphere from the team was unwelcoming, despite us being polite and respectful throughout. I rarely leave reviews, but I’ve never experienced service quite like this before. It’s a shame because the venue itself is nice, but the attitude of the staff really impacted our visit.

Another lovely meal, made special by the lovely staff, a candle on my Eton Mess for my birthday. A great place to visit. Thank you for making an ordinary day special.

Called in tonight and had the pleasure of meeting Katrina and Penny who were lovely and provided great service. The food was excellent and there was loads of it.

Two of us called in for standard carvery,the meats was tender and plenty of vegetables,pub wasn't very busy as it was early evening*****

Pensioners Party, once a month, 120 this month Feb 2025, a superb lunch, well run by Carol, and Liam in charge of the food, Kev Cosgrove compare, organises Bingo, chase the ace, and music till 1500 hours, he is brilliant.Prizes and Money to the lucky winners.You need to book, as next one 3rd March 2025 at 1200hrs.Large car park, and wheelchair access.

Was very busy when we arrived but we're accommodated for a table pretty quickly considering we didn't book. (Just needed to charge the car so decided to stop for food) Carvery was OK plenty of food as there usually is but tasty. Kids had wings on theirs which were a little over done but not a big thing rest was OK. Only slight annoyance was the queue forming at the bar for drinks and food and one maybe 2 people being on the bar. But the lady who led us to our seats did point us to the app to order so all good in the end.

Ate here today and had the beef pie and mash. It was absolutely delicious. My husband had the chicken sharer and my daughter had the carvery. All amazing. Was a bit too noisy for me, but that was because they were very busy.

Carvery was great, roasties nice and crispy, good selection on there.

Very pleased with our first visit to the Evenwood farm from start to finish. We were greeted at the door and shown to a table. My wife and I decided to have the carvery and the food was lovely. There was plenty of choice, all fresh and hot. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. We definitely recommend the carvery and will be returning again to try something from the main menu. Update - Upon Speaking To The Manager Charlotte, We Were Offered A Full Refund Plus Complimentary Meals To Return and Give Them Another Try, I Can Confidently Say that After 2 More Visits This Establishment Is A Lovely Place To Visit, We Visited For Tea/Dinner And I Had The Chicken Medley From The Non Gluten Containing Menu, All Allergy Guidelines Were Followed and The Food Was Even Flagged As An Allergy Dish, The Food Itself Was Lovely, Good Portion and Enjoyable, My Partner Had The Combo Stack Burger and He Had A Much Better Dining Experience All Round, The Staff Couldn’t Have Been More Helpful, We Also Visited Today For Dinner/Lunch I Had The Gammon Steaks From The Non Gluten Containing Menu, and My Partner Had A Carvery, My Meal Was Honestly Some Of The Nicest Gammon I’ve Eaten, The Potato It Came With Was Lovely Soft and A Good Size, My Partner Said The Carvery Was An Amazing Meal Also, We Will Definitely Be Returning and Feel Our Original Visit Was Just Genuinely A Bad Day, And Since We Can Confirm That All Allergy Protocols Have Been Carried Out and All Food Comes Out In A Timely Manner and Is Delicious! Katrina is so accommodating and such a nice member of staff, she is a credit to you all. She ended up pouring me three glasses of Coke as they were flat, we ended up having a chat & a laugh, nothing was too much for her. I recently visited Evenwood Farm for a carvery, and I have to say, the experience was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Penny, who was the perfect host. Her friendly demeanor and genuine enthusiasm set the tone for a wonderful meal. The carvery itself was top-notch – delicious meats cooked to perfection, an impressive selection of fresh vegetables, and all the trimmings you could hope for. The pub was still open for us in this bad whether! We had carvery it was so good!

Went for carvery 3.1.25, was not happy at all. Paid at bar and went to collect meal, waited 10 mins for chef to appear from the kitchen, (empty handed so obviously not been for refills) I had turkey and beef hubby had gammon and turkey, Yorkshire puddings and pigs in blankets...went on and picked roasties, mash and veg, added gravy and went to the table to enjoy the meal. Meat was ok, roasties were overdone and dried up, new potatoes had been there a long time as the outside was hard yet inside was ok. Sprouts were rock hard carrots were edible, cheesy mash and plain mash was nice, pigs in blankets were very undercooked and quite grey in colour. Gravy was ok, Yorkshire puddings were a joke, rock hard and inedible. But all in all I would have been ashamed to serve up such a meal. I'm sure some of the food laid out should have been removed and replaced after been reheated as per food hygiene regulations. Will not be returning to pay for such an enedible meal and will not recommend anyone to go there for a carvery. Did not complain at the time as I know the answer would have basically been it's personal taste. It wasn't just personal taste, it was bad food, left too long under warming lights, frozen veg and roast potatoes. Out of 10* gave 2* and they were for mash and gravy!!

Attended as a family as part of a larger group to the turkey and tinsel event. Food was spot on, staff were working so hard to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible due to so many large groups in attendance. Entertainment was fun. My dad has dementia and all staff who interacted with him treated him with patience and respect. That to me is worth it's weight in gold. Thanks to Carol and all of the staff today who made a lot of people very happy at this event. And thank you for working so hard to keep things going despite the amount of people who attended. We meet family on a regular basis at Evenwood Farm. The staff are always welcoming and happy to reserve tables for us. The food is hot, plentiful and good value for money. The desserts are fantastic. Food is brought out promptly and is tasty.

Went for breakfast here this morning plenty to choose from staff we polite and friendly greeted us when we arrived and said goodbye when we left as well as the buffet breakfast you can choose egg Benedict,bacon batch, avocado with eggs etc you can also pay for a refillable tea or you can choose coffee ,orange juice etc but I don’t think that a refillable option all nice and clean any down side the food could of been a little hotter and bacon very fatty and toast in a dish so that’s cold

Went with friends that had travelled from a distance but everything was good! Staff were extra helpful and accommodating. Food was good. We all had a carvery and I am still full 3 days later! Reserved online for 3 people, 5pm earlier this evening ( Sunday ). Although it was extremely busy, we were shown to our seats quickly and ordered our drinks which were delivered to our table in no time. All 3 of us ordered from the menu . . . mains and dessert. We all enjoyed our meals and every member of staff that we encountered was courteous and attentive. A special mention though to Alan and Helen. . . who was especially helpful changing our order. We'll definitely be returning soon. If you fancy a carvery, maybe go at 6pm rather than 5pm as the queue was a lot shorter and the restaurant far quieter.

We had our festive works for this afternoon there was 9 of us in the party. The food was delicious and the staff so helpful and friendly. People should give more thanks to the staff here especially over the Christmas period. They all work so hard it’s so nice to see such a genuinely welcoming face from the managers when you enter, we had one member of the party with an allergy, and Charlotte (I believe is her name) couldn't do any more to help and ensure food was safe for my friend. We've been here 3 times in the last few months to celebrate family birthdays, each time staff have been lovely and really helpful. We've kept coming back mainly because of the gluten free options on the menu/carvery, staff are always ever so hopeful in checking. Special mention to the girls on shift tonight they were amazing.

Went to the evenwood today well afternoon evening time was served by a lovley lady katrina who served me and then bought us our coffees we then had beef lasagne and tex mex it was perfect thanks for a pleasant visit will be back soon

Walked in dead in 11 for breakfast when they usually stop serving at 11. They kept it open for us and made sure there was enough of everything available and they even cooked more bacon for us. The staff were friendly and accommodating and went above and beyond for us. Would definitely recommend people coming here.

Food was cold, very poor quality. Meat and potato’s so dry, cuts of fat for meat. Awful food and expensive too, waste of money. Won’t be ordering again and I would like a refund
