My friend and I popped in on our lunch break for a mug of tea. We shared New York baked cheesecake and chocolate brownie. They were both delicious. We have had the lovely scones on previous visits, and they come served warm.

We stopped for lunch during a walk along the Bridgewater Canal. The place is quite hard to spot from the road, but we really enjoyed the oatcakes, the lovely selection of cakes and the coffee. The staff were delightful and the prices were extremely reasonable.

We had afternoon tea in the conservatory, the tables were laid out with fresh clean white tablecloths and vases of real roses. The food was delicious! I'm not sure if it was a regular menu as our visit was for a hen party but everything was well presented and very tasty so I'm sure the standard would always be the same even if the food on offer varies. We had a selection of finger sandwiches, mini quiche, mini vol au vent, mini Yorkshire pud with beef and prawn cocktail. There was a huge slice of Victoria sponge cake, merengue with fruit, lemon posset and a scone with jam and clotted cream. The tea rooms are in a little collection of craft workshops which we enjoyed having a wander around, the prices were very reasonable and the goods were original and well made. The setting next to the canal is ideal for a walk and the fact that dogs are allowed in the conservatory means I'll definitely visit again with my 4 legged friends, I might also treat myself to a pamper session in the beauty room soon! This is a hidden gem and I don't hesitate to recommend it.

Not a bad little place; conservatory is nice and lots of nice little bits for sale. Good little place for a browse although it was really cold after being sat down for a while.

Visited the cafe at lunchtime today ( 9.3.2017). Asked to see, a menu after which we enquired as to the nature of the soup of the day. Answer - there was none. Selected sandwiches and toasties from the menu, including tuna and sweetcorn. Later told that there was no sweetcorn. Sandwiches, toasties and teas arrived, but no garnish as described on the menu (salad and crisps). We complained and were told that the cafe had only been open three days and that there were no salads or crisps. Manager instructed waitress to offer a discount of £0.40 per person, which we reluctantly accepted. After this experience, we would not recommend the cafe to anyone.

We must have picked a bad day, with a private party going on in the conservatory and the staff working flat out. We didn't mind waiting, our main gripe was that it was absolutely freezing in the room. There was no brown bread option for sandwiches and our cherry scones were flat and hard and exploded on cutting. The mushroom soup was delightful.

We went for an afternoon cream tea for a close family friends Birthday on Wednesday 10th August, Well what can i say? It was so lovely, The potion size was great, a lot larger than we ever expected and really really worth the money, The children's size was huge and they loved the fact they were having the same as us adults. We all came out filling full to the brim we even took a cup cake home each, (they gave us take away boxes for them). The staff are really friendly and there to help with any need you have. We booked a couple of days before going as one of our party has a food allergy but they were so accommodating and reassured us they would not include this food with any of our cream teas. The menu for the food that is sold here is so reasonable and well worth for it. Lovely and would recommend to everyone

Just got back from a lovely afternoon to celebrate a Birthday. We have had a fab time, the staff were great and the afternoon tea was out of this world, the small craft stalls that are attached to here are a real find and cant wait to go again. We are all full to bursting point and they even gave us cake boxes to bring home the cup cakes we couldn't manage. The children's potion was huge we a great rage of cakes and sandwiches. The price was really really great and as i said before can't wait to go back. Well worth a visit, a little hidden treasure, see you all again soon
