Had to send my food back as it was cold. Card machine wasn't working and I wasn't informed until after I ordered. I would have had something else however the performance was due to start. Not enough staff for a busy cafe. Not impressed.

We went for a coffee before the show began. I understand it opens an hour before the performance. The coffee was very nice and although we didn't partake there was a good selection of cakes at a very competitive price. We sat inside but you can sit outside and look at the narrow boats and just chill out. The tables were clean and clear of debris. An enjoyable experience.

Popped in for a coffee ended up having lunch. Reasonable prices and served quite quickly, although the girl kept having to shout into the back and check on if they still had any" " left. Area is lovely and clean and the cakes look lovely. Will go again.

Disliked the website not making it clear that this facility is NOT available during event times!!! What a bad business move!!

Cant believe I have only just found this place and its been there 10 years! Go into The Brindley Theatre and up the stairs is a cafe that serves great food. I had a Lasagne with Garlic Bread which was absolutely lovely. Loads of salad with it. Great value. Then I spied the cakes. All home made. Flapjacks, chocolate crunch, eccles cakes. I had a cream scone which was huge. They even serve Starbucks coffee. How did I not know about this? Get some advertising done!

I've had many lunches and quick snacks here, coupled with a look around the fabulous art gallery too. The food is excellent, always freshly made and always large portions which represent great value for money. I love the chocolate topped flapjack (they do have other lovely cakes, but I rarely look at them).

I've eaten here many times and am very very happy to recommend it to others. The food is great value - you get a lot for your money, all freshly prepared, well presented and served with a smile. There's a view of the Bridgewater Canal from the windows, with the occasional boat gliding calmly by. It's always worth a look at the art gallery space on the same level too; it has intriguing and challenging contemporary art exhibited by local, national and international artists.

Poor experience, after booking table for six in advance, we were told inno uncertain terms that we would not be served at our table in the bar. We had to move ten feet into the quiet restaurant where food was eventually served at the table. Waitress spent most of her time talking to the barman in the bar! Won't be returning.

My husband and I went to the Prospect for Sunday dinner with friends. Everything was delicious and hot ,really good portions of vegetables all served separately which I preferred as I could have as much as I wanted without over facing myself. The gravy also comes separately in a gravy boat very tasty and again plenty of it! The staff were all lovely especially Chelsea Pi she was so attentive and full of smiles I would definitely recommend
