Really lovely place. Staff were warm, friendly and professional - all smiles! We ordered the fish bap and chocolate delice. Really yummy and great attention to detail with the presentation. The toilets were spotless too. Really recommend. Will surely be back.

As a narrowboat continual cruiser with complex PTSD, pubs like this are few and far between. I was made welcome in seconds, they ignored my anxiety stuttering, made my assistance dog the centre of attention and had the kindness to remember me and my order. While I really struggle with my disability, I felt welcomed and respected. Such simple acts of human kindness give me the strength to carry on. It's not the poshest pub you can go to - but the staff and customers make it the most human I've visited in months. Visit for a sense of humanity and community. You won't be disappointed.

I was denied entry to an event at Joshua Brooks because they do not accept the UK government's officially implemented eVisa (digital visa) as valid identification. As an international student, my BRP has been officially replaced by an eVisa, and this change was not mentioned anywhere on the event page or ticketing platform. I presented the official UK government verification page and my ticket had already been scanned and accepted, yet the staff insisted that only a physical passport would be accepted. Since it was not possible to return home to retrieve my passport in time, I ended up missing the entire event. If a venue does not accept certain forms of identification, this should be clearly stated before the point of purchase. This lack of communication caused me both financial and emotional distress, and I am very disappointed with how the situation was handled.

Past this place a few times and wondered if it's just for members, so we decided to pop in to check it out. I'm glad we did. The restaurant is open to the public, and there is a large car park around the back with a few allocated disabled bays, although the markings on the ground have faded. The front entrance is automatically and wide enough for wheelchairs. The restaurant has a disabled WC, The staff seemed friendly and sat us down where we wanted and took our drinks & food orders promptly. The food came pipping hot, and it was delicious. There is a huge selection of foods and vegetarian options to choose from. Check their website for the latest menu items. Definitely worth a visit if you're nearby.

...how good it was. Had the mixed grill which was plentiful, piping hot and tasty- can't ask for much better than that!! Didn't think the drinks prices were particularly good value compared to some other local boozers. Whilst we were waiting for everyone else to arrive we had a pint of Level Head (I like it!) and a large glass of red which came to over 14 quid

Nice pub food etc worth a visit. ! but my only moan is that the parking not good for residents who live in the street . the over spill of people is not good as when the carpark is full they park outside the houses. Down musker street And before people say anything ! yes I know you can park were you like ! If you lived down here youd see. Maybe instead of all them extra benches a few more parking spots.

Fantastic food and great views, a good selection of dishes ranging from small plates to full meals. I had the beef flatbread which was very well cooked. A good selection of wines and beers on offer at the bar. We didn't try the deserts but they looked very nice. The decking area is definitely somewhere to enjoy a nice drink on a sunny evening.
