I drive past this pub a few times.es a month but never had a reason to go in until last weekend where my youngest ,eldest,the Wife ,and my Dad decided we should try the food I opted for the half chicken n chips it was OK but not brilliant it had a taste like it had been roasted in the oven and in fairness the menu said roasted however my mind thought it was getting rotisserie roasted ,it was a little pale and some of the fats inside hadn't rendered down this made it taste a little bit like warm fat ,disappointed a bit obviously I still ate it ,I'm not a wimp maybe you could do rotisserie chicken and ditch the Rational oven ( for the chicken ) or how about BBQ chicken not BBQ sauce #ideas for the cheff

had the tika masala and it was beautiful, everyone was happy with their meals and staff were lovely. Will come again.

Great family restaurant, the was lovely and so was the service!

Came with mum and daughter, all got carveries, really enjoyed them, turkey was a little dry, but nothing gravy couldn’t sort out. Scott came to see how our meals were, very well mannered and polite.

Me my partner and his daughter had a lovely carvery it was the best meal since it was called applewood. The experience was great and Andrea looked after us so thank you Andrea, I also had to ask about how the carrots were cooked talk about tasty and yes Andrea told us they were steamed, thanks again we will be back We had a roast New up todate review 19/05/2025 Went to Farmhouse kitchen for a lovely meal, the food was delicious the staff were very friendly and Dan looked after us and very professional and we would highly recommend anyone to come and try this lovely place for a fab meal, thank you Dan for being very helpful we will be coming back for sure Mandy and Steve

First time in this fabulous place. We had the carvery and can honestly say it was the best we have ever had. Will definitely be coming again. Dan was super helpful and the place was spotless.

Not been since it’s had its make over which to be honest preferred it before,as it now looks like a big canteen and whoever signed the design off was on meds I think,but food is lovely staff are lovely and beers great so that’s the main thing

Been a few times but the last couple of times the food as been luke warm roast potatoes burnt looked like all the food had been sat there for hrs, complained but they just say will tell the chef definitely will not be going back.

7 friends enjoy meeting for lunch once a week, and the Farmhouse Kitchen is a favourite. The staff are helpful, courteous and above all friendly. The carvery is now perfect

Great place to eat found it by accident but have been back several times since the food is good quality and the staff are very friendly and helpful it's well worth a visit they also have a system for the carvery so you don't have to just stand and que in a big long line it's very we'll organised.

Throughly enjoyed are time at farmhouse kitchen. Staff Dan and Becky were very polite and friendly, very clean, and food was lovely.

Weird going at 7:30 on a Wednesday, we were practically the only people in the place!! Food was ok, as expected for the price and my daughter (5) loves the playground and small soft play area. It does what it says on the tin but really surprised it was so quiet.

Fantastic experience today, the Afternoon tea is excellent value for money but would benefit from a choice of the larger cake. Dan the assistant manager was lovely and welcoming as we're the rest of the staff. Definitely worth the trip

Food was amazing. All the staff have be wonderful and willing to answer all queries and questions. Kids had a lovely time in the play areas.

We had a lovely, chilled Easter Sunday here. Staff are never too busy to make you feel welcome and check in regularly even on the busy Easter weekend. They are so friendly and helpful. Carvery was delicious. Extra thanks to Mike who was brilliant. Definitely recommend for both carvery and breakfast.

Had my daughters birthday here today. For the easter bunny breakfast and then again for tea! All the staff were really friendly. Mandy and Jan (I'm sure her name was and im sorry if I got it wrong) were fantastic both managers went above to cater to us. Even went as far to give immy a card and a little present when we came back in. All in all I couldn't fault anything. I would happily go back again and most likely will. Thank you to both managers and all the staff for giving my girl an amazing 6th birthday

Lovely place staff are very attentive to your needs and overall fab food. Walk in customer and given a table with in a check of the computer. Food was fresh hot and even with being busy sunday the wait was minimal. The waiter who looked after us was called mike and was brilliant and even asked about allergies and helped with giving information about the menu.

Just have a lovely afternoon tea here for the Easter holiday with family, we have the tortilla wraps (next time will deffo try the yorkie wraps😍) We also have the half-roasted chicken with fries and onion rings with peri peri sauce! The chicken is so tender and juicy!🐣The food is so tasty and staff is friendly, super helpful, polite and always wearing a big smile😁) Highly recommended😚😋🥰

Nice place to take the family with children for food with the indoor and outdoor play areas. The carvery food was very nice, and refillable soft drinks were nice to see. Staff are very helpful.

Read the advert on the website looked promising. Choice of meats and pies on the weekday carvery menu. In reality there was only one meat available which was turkey. No pies to be seen or pigs in blankets (requested when paying for the order) . Service was okay but disappointed with the carvery. Don’t think I will be returning anytime soon.

I have just started working in the area and fancied something different than a greasy burger van so tried here with a work colleague, I must say I had the best filling breakfast I have had in a long time, the service was great more so for asking if any of us had allergies or dietary requirements and for the price of £10.50 each for all you can eat and unlimited hot drinks i could never complain. The experience was that good we will be returning again next week and continue to until we finish on our current job assignment.

Had a mixed grill one of the best I've had for a while and the wrap was just as delicious and wow the desserts are just amazing

Booked todat at 1515pm for table for 2 as we come most weekends Food is always amazing as got 1 small carvery and 1 medium and two bottomless drinks. The only negativesis the table we was put on was very wobbly. And guy behind the carvery is very slow in my opinion it should be at least two Other than that staff are always poliet the girl who sat us down was very nice and the girl behind bar had brill customer service.

As always great food and lots of choice, staff always friendly and engaging, today Michelle was looking after us, Dean was on the pass, again very friendly chatting to us. As locals we wouldnt go anywhere else for our Roast, Perfect. Thanks team.

Fantastic staff. Booked for a table of 20. Excellent service, speedy checkout for ordering food, great food and amazing desserts. Loved the refillable drinks section. Staff always making sure your area is clean and tidy. Would definitely suggest people make a visit there.

It's been years since we last visited this establishment, and I must say that the current experience under the rebranding is amazing. We came on a Sunday right at peak time. We were welcomed with a smile and pleasant banter. Although we hadn't made any bookings we were sitted really fast. You could see they were on top of it! Great menu choises for everyone in the family. Scott has had his eyes on us tending to our every need!! I highly recommend this place.

We had my friends baby shower meal here and couldn’t of asked for better service from a staff member I believe she was called Becky, she helped me set up, kept checking in to see if there was anything we needed, offered help with photos etc and just went above and beyond usual expected service! Had a lovely afternoon tea with friends here today. The food was delicious and plentiful, the yorkie wrap was a great alternative to finger sandwiches. The staff were super attentive and the environment was clean, bright and airy. Lovely atmosphere, will definitely be back for more. (And on my way out the carvery setup looked amazing) 😋

It's not the same since it's changed to farmhouse . Food was sub-standard. Felt like it was straight out of the microwave . Cheese was runny. Pastry was hard . The all-day breakfast is not the best .everything felt cheap . Won't be going back anytime soon .

My first visit I Wasn't told the routine was shown to a table without any instructions what to do next the girl on the till was more accommodating we had the carvery the meat server was robotic staff looked like robots from doctor who food was standard minimal choice of vegetables in my opinion a poor copy to toby carvery but saying that the restaurant was clean and light may try another visit in the future.

The carvery was excellent .can't complain about the food.its the lack of staff there tables with empty plates food on the floor. There was one poor young man on his own trying is best to get things in order far play to him and the food area wasn't overly busy.

First time at Farmhouse Kitchen since it rebranded from Applewood, and I was really impressed. The new set up is light and airy, and has a welcoming feel to it. I chose a mid-day week and booked a table for two, highlighting one person had mobility difficulties. We were greeted at the door by Dan who was so helpful, showing us to a table and ensuring it was suitable. Throughout our meal Dan checked in on us frequently, and it’s nice to see an employee who clearly cares about visitors, and who enjoys their job, thanks Dan. We ordered starters, and we both had the carvery followed by ice cream. Cannot fault the food at all, everything was lovely, and the carvery had a good selection of vegetables and potatoes and the meat was delicious. I used the Green King App to order, and that was easy, and whilst we had drinks, we would have liked some tap water as well, and I didn’t fancy queuing at the bar for this, so ideally it would be good if you could add a tap near the refillable drinks, for people to use. Excellent disabled facilities, with adequate disabled parking, plenty of level access seating area, and according to ‘dad’ the accessible toilet is spot on! It was my dad’s first trip out for more than a year, and we both enjoyed Farmhouse Kitchen and will be back.

Really nice experience to eat at Applewood Worsley. My family enjoyed a family meal for our granddaughter's birthday, very enjoyable. Food great value, especially the Carvery. The staff are good with good service. A special Thank You to Dan who helped me to find my lost mobile phone when I realised, at home, I must have left/lost it and had to return in a bit of a panic! All round, good experience. Wholeheartedly recommend a visit.

Have been to the Farmhouse Kitchen for breakfast this morning and it was great. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was great quality, with plenty of choice for us and the kids. Was also a nice play area for the kids after breakfast. Great experience overall, will definitely be coming back

Food was great but small things. Tommy not quite ripe, Bacon cooked to blonde, but tiny things really. I did like the coffee machine tho better than the warming pots this place has a coffee machine serving hot coffee. Also take blue light Mon- Sat. See you again and thanks. 4.9 score

Always a pleasant experience coming to the farmhouse with family and friends, great service, lovely food, nice atmosphere and Mandy's service is always outstanding. Looking forward to come again :)

Arrived today on Mother’s Day with no booking but Dan was amazing and managed to fit us in. Really friendly service and food was great.

A lovely family pub with soft playarea, with a great family atmosphere. Me and my brother both made sperate booking and the lady on the front desk did everything she could to place us together in a very crowded place already. She was lovely and even made sure we were happy later on. Service was timely and the carvery delicious. My eyes were definitely bigger than my belly. The kids chicken nuggets a bit dry, but they didn't complain as were eager to get back playing. Staff were friendly, and use to the madness of having children with you. A lovely place where I shall be returning in the future. Thank you for a lovely family meal (which is always stressful with 4 kids, but was made to feel welcome)

My daughters brought me here today for afternoon tea. There was plenty on it the food was delicious we would recommend this to anyone the Yorkshire pudding wraps and gravy dip was very tasty and the cakes were lovely the staff were also lovely and friendly very clean place a lovely time was had by us all 😊
