We had a lovely, chilled Easter Sunday here. Staff are never too busy to make you feel welcome and check in regularly even on the busy Easter weekend. They are so friendly and helpful. Carvery was delicious. Extra thanks to Mike who was brilliant. Definitely recommend for both carvery and breakfast.

Had my daughters birthday here today. For the easter bunny breakfast and then again for tea! All the staff were really friendly. Mandy and Jan (I'm sure her name was and im sorry if I got it wrong) were fantastic both managers went above to cater to us. Even went as far to give immy a card and a little present when we came back in. All in all I couldn't fault anything. I would happily go back again and most likely will. Thank you to both managers and all the staff for giving my girl an amazing 6th birthday

Just have a lovely afternoon tea here for the Easter holiday with family, we have the tortilla wraps (next time will deffo try the yorkie wraps😍) We also have the half-roasted chicken with fries and onion rings with peri peri sauce! The chicken is so tender and juicy!🐣The food is so tasty and staff is friendly, super helpful, polite and always wearing a big smile😁) Highly recommended😚😋🥰

Went for tea with the family always love coming here as the kids enjoy it and there is lots of choice for everyone. Food and service is always top notch too.

Nice place to take the family with children for food with the indoor and outdoor play areas. The carvery food was very nice, and refillable soft drinks were nice to see. Staff are very helpful.

Best carvery I have had in a very long time.

I have just started working in the area and fancied something different than a greasy burger van so tried here with a work colleague, I must say I had the best filling breakfast I have had in a long time, the service was great more so for asking if any of us had allergies or dietary requirements and for the price of £10.50 each for all you can eat and unlimited hot drinks i could never complain. The experience was that good we will be returning again next week and continue to until we finish on our current job assignment.

We had my friends baby shower meal here and couldn’t of asked for better service from a staff member I believe she was called Becky, she helped me set up, kept checking in to see if there was anything we needed, offered help with photos etc and just went above and beyond usual expected service! Fantastic staff. Booked for a table of 20. Excellent service, speedy checkout for ordering food, great food and amazing desserts. Loved the refillable drinks section. Staff always making sure your area is clean and tidy. Would definitely suggest people make a visit there.

Booked todat at 1515pm for table for 2 as we come most weekends Food is always amazing as got 1 small carvery and 1 medium and two bottomless drinks. The only negativesis the table we was put on was very wobbly. And guy behind the carvery is very slow in my opinion it should be at least two Other than that staff are always poliet the girl who sat us down was very nice and the girl behind bar had brill customer service.

It's been years since we last visited this establishment, and I must say that the current experience under the rebranding is amazing. We came on a Sunday right at peak time. We were welcomed with a smile and pleasant banter. Although we hadn't made any bookings we were sitted really fast. You could see they were on top of it! Great menu choises for everyone in the family. Scott has had his eyes on us tending to our every need!! I highly recommend this place.

Delicious food and not overly expensive.

Had a lovely afternoon tea with friends here today. The food was delicious and plentiful, the yorkie wrap was a great alternative to finger sandwiches. The staff were super attentive and the environment was clean, bright and airy. Lovely atmosphere, will definitely be back for more. (And on my way out the carvery setup looked amazing) 😋

It's not the same since it's changed to farmhouse . Food was sub-standard. Felt like it was straight out of the microwave . Cheese was runny. Pastry was hard . The all-day breakfast is not the best .everything felt cheap . Won't be going back anytime soon .

My first visit I Wasn't told the routine was shown to a table without any instructions what to do next the girl on the till was more accommodating we had the carvery the meat server was robotic staff looked like robots from doctor who food was standard minimal choice of vegetables in my opinion a poor copy to toby carvery but saying that the restaurant was clean and light may try another visit in the future.

The carvery was excellent .can't complain about the food.its the lack of staff there tables with empty plates food on the floor. There was one poor young man on his own trying is best to get things in order far play to him and the food area wasn't overly busy.

First time at Farmhouse Kitchen since it rebranded from Applewood, and I was really impressed. The new set up is light and airy, and has a welcoming feel to it. I chose a mid-day week and booked a table for two, highlighting one person had mobility difficulties. We were greeted at the door by Dan who was so helpful, showing us to a table and ensuring it was suitable. Throughout our meal Dan checked in on us frequently, and it’s nice to see an employee who clearly cares about visitors, and who enjoys their job, thanks Dan. We ordered starters, and we both had the carvery followed by ice cream. Cannot fault the food at all, everything was lovely, and the carvery had a good selection of vegetables and potatoes and the meat was delicious. I used the Green King App to order, and that was easy, and whilst we had drinks, we would have liked some tap water as well, and I didn’t fancy queuing at the bar for this, so ideally it would be good if you could add a tap near the refillable drinks, for people to use. Excellent disabled facilities, with adequate disabled parking, plenty of level access seating area, and according to ‘dad’ the accessible toilet is spot on! It was my dad’s first trip out for more than a year, and we both enjoyed Farmhouse Kitchen and will be back.

Really nice experience to eat at Applewood Worsley. My family enjoyed a family meal for our granddaughter's birthday, very enjoyable. Food great value, especially the Carvery. The staff are good with good service. A special Thank You to Dan who helped me to find my lost mobile phone when I realised, at home, I must have left/lost it and had to return in a bit of a panic! All round, good experience. Wholeheartedly recommend a visit.

Have been to the Farmhouse Kitchen for breakfast this morning and it was great. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was great quality, with plenty of choice for us and the kids. Was also a nice play area for the kids after breakfast. Great experience overall, will definitely be coming back

Food was great but small things. Tommy not quite ripe, Bacon cooked to blonde, but tiny things really. I did like the coffee machine tho better than the warming pots this place has a coffee machine serving hot coffee. Also take blue light Mon- Sat. See you again and thanks. 4.9 score

Always a pleasant experience coming to the farmhouse with family and friends, great service, lovely food, nice atmosphere and Mandy's service is always outstanding. Looking forward to come again :)

Arrived today on Mother’s Day with no booking but Dan was amazing and managed to fit us in. Really friendly service and food was great.

A lovely family pub with soft playarea, with a great family atmosphere. Me and my brother both made sperate booking and the lady on the front desk did everything she could to place us together in a very crowded place already. She was lovely and even made sure we were happy later on. Service was timely and the carvery delicious. My eyes were definitely bigger than my belly. The kids chicken nuggets a bit dry, but they didn't complain as were eager to get back playing. Staff were friendly, and use to the madness of having children with you. A lovely place where I shall be returning in the future. Thank you for a lovely family meal (which is always stressful with 4 kids, but was made to feel welcome)

My daughters brought me here today for afternoon tea. There was plenty on it the food was delicious we would recommend this to anyone the Yorkshire pudding wraps and gravy dip was very tasty and the cakes were lovely the staff were also lovely and friendly very clean place a lovely time was had by us all 😊

We visited on a Sunday, the food was delicious, service and staff brilliant but there were screaming unruly kids everywhere! Ruined it for us.

Arrived to enjoy the carvery, but it wasn't available due to it being out of service. The staff were very friendly and offered us to choose from the menu. Food was okay

Staff are not very understanding to the needs of individuals with disabilities I have found staff rude And once you ask for something Thay would chat with other staff and find your request funny Eg I asked could the air conditioning be turned down or off as the area very cold And I had 2 elderly adults in their late 70s the area was empty And I asked the staff She was a young lady she said really you want it off And pulled her face Then I went to order food 5 staff members all went into a room behind the bar area I was stood thier 6 mins with not one member of staff in site I found the manger as explained her staff was in a room and I had been waiting He face pulled and she walked off Meal order The 2 people only eat large ketchup ds meals as thay like a dessert A gentleman who served the food said thay only having kids meal Rolling his eyes Then asked why I was not eating I found this so so rude does this matter if I’m only having a drink as I was serving The 2 people with drinks Toilet Orders etc It is a lovely place and food looks lovely But Thay choose to go here And do have choices even if only eating a child’s meal The staff definitely need to change their custom skills it’s very very poor

We had an excellent time as a group of 6 adults and 4 kids. The food was tasty, it all came on time and was hot. The kids menu is great. Massive bonus was the kids play area. They absolutley loved it! We stayed for over 3.4 hours! The staff couldn’t do enough for us and went above and beyond! Dan and Gerry are a credit to the company! Thank you!

Good place to eat. Shame that depending on which staff member you got that they wouldn't allow my wife to have a small bacon on toast instead of bacon and egg, she explained that she wouldn't eat this because she'd had surgery despite explaining they refused to separate the contents. They lost a sale. However, on a separate visit a male served her and he did as asked. It should be agiven that if someone is trying to save food this should be considered seriously as no one knows what someone is going through. More staff training on this topic should be given. You wouldn't expect a child to eat an adults meal, so why no allow someone to alter the meal to allow them to enjoy what they like. Come on guys get upto speed. Life is different for everyone!

We were in for a Birthday celebration . The service from Johnathan and Becky was amazing . Lads were great on the carvery too. Excellent food and lots of variety. Best carvery we’ve had in a long time.

Came for a family gathering today 16 of us and we all enjoyed every bit the service was fast and organised from ordering on the app to getting our carveries the staff didn't miss a beat and it was really busy too. We've been before the refurbishment and the new system is so much better . Staff were very friendly and helped with everything Becky and Dana really did look after all of us will definitely be back. Visited Farmhouse kitchen today 13/03/25 Was not disappointed warm welcome by front of house staff it’s a lovely well presented clean pub / restaurant/ carvery It’s the best carvery I have ever eaten the meat is lean all the vegetables are cooked just right ( not rock hard like other places ) Mash & boiled potatoes done perfectly The serving area absolutely spotless the whole of the establishment is a well presented and like the serving area spotless No dirty unclean tables as you enter the restaurant friendly staff honestly can’t praise this carvery / restaurant enough And to top it all unlimited top up on tea-Coffee-Soft drinks and play areas for your little rascals Well done to the team for making this an enjoyable experience Just one little negative comment I noticed the only steak on the main menu was Rump

I know this is a carvery pub but the carvery had finished so we had to order off the main menu it was the worst meal I'd had my daughter macaroni cheese came in a solid lump My burger was dry and had be drowned in bbq sauce also the bun was rock hard Wont be visiting again after that and it cost £50

Lovely place, plenty of space, clean. Just needs tweaking imo, Too much queuing, for drinks,to order food, then having to wait to be called up for carvery, we waited almost 30 minutes,then queued for that too of course. Apart from that, we all enjoyed our food

Long queue for carvery,prices gone up, only 3 meats, roast potatoes over done and hard, parsnips overcooked. Supposed to have improved after the revamp, but I think it’s honestly worse.

On arrival, the place was freezing, even though it was a very cold day. We asked the waitress if she could put the aircon down slightly, given it was right above our head, to which we got no response, so we sat for the whole meal with our coats on! We looked around, and there were pots on every table that hadn't been cleared away. When the food came, it wasn't the best. We ordered a rump steak, which was 50% fat and gristle. The burger that we also had was OK, but the portion of chips could have been larger. We asked the waiter who brought our food to turn the aircon down for us, and this time, it felt a bit warmer. We won't be returning.

Attended for a Birthday meal with family. The carvery was dry like it had been out all day under heaters everything was hard from the pigs in blankets to the Yorkshire puddings. Veg was all dried up. One person had the crispy chicken this looked like it had been cooked in an airfryer. Chips were frozen chips The Mac and Cheese looked like it had been cooked in the microwave then put in an oven dish. The only decent food was the steak pie that was obviously bought in Very disappointed. Not once were we asked if everything was ok with the food.

Came here today at 4pm. Service was very disorganised. We were told to take a seat and somebody would tell us when to go up to the carvery. Asked twice and finally we were allowed to go up after 50 mins, watching some tables that arrived after us go up earlier. Then there was a further 15 minute queue at the carvery. When it came to the food, we were unlucky and ended up with the last ‘wedges’ of beef on both meals, fatty end chunks of the meat that were inedible whilst other diners had thin, pink slices. Carrots and cauliflower were so hard I couldn’t cut through them, but overall the food tasted fine, potatoes were lovely as was the cabbage. Overall I think the service model is just odd - waiting at your table to be told to join a queue for food that is already cooked is just unnecessary, especially if you’re not going to manage it properly. Wouldn’t visit again on a Sunday until there is a better system to manage the volume of diners.
